A week later
Zoella was back to school after she pledged that she would never steal again. Her friends were happy to see her while others make jest of her.
“Miss thief, I hope you have changed.” Connor, one of the boys in the class mocked while others burst out laughing.
“You better not steal my things again or else I will embarrass you greatly”. David said as Harsha and Emmaline entered.
They dragged her away from the scene to the library.
“You should not cry Zoe. Put smile on your face.” Emmaline said as they pulled her to sit.
“I can’t, why is it always me? I don’t want to be a thief, everyone now hate me.” Zoella cried in frustration.
Harsha walked to the library s shelf and brought out a book and hand it over to Zoella who was still crying.
“SMILE FOR ME.” Zoella said and look at Harsha who was smiling sheepishly.
“Yes , smile for me. When I firstly came to this school and people started bully me, I felt like why am I born to be in poor family but one day I came here and I saw this book, that’s when I realized that there’s something behind one’s tear which is smile.” Harsha explained.
“I will read it.” She said and wipe her tears away.
“No, we will read it together.” Emmaline and Harsha said in unison as they walked to the shelf to get their own copy.
“Where did I placed this files”. Mrs Jarrett said searching her table for the umpteenth times. She opened the drawer and closed it back.
“I put it here on the table so, how come it disappears?” She asked herself rhetorically as she kept wandering in her office. She walked outside and saw Mrs Jeffrey Epstein, one of the staff member going to her own office, she stopped her.
“Miss Epstein I’m looking for the school file the principal just gave me today. I’ve been searching for it I don’t see it. I just wanna ask you if you see someone that enter my office today.” Mrs Jarrett asked anxiously.
“Wait, ain’t you the one who sent Zoella Jones to your office?” Miss Epstein asked.
“Yes, I am. I sent her to drop her class register. Did you see the file with her?” She asked.
“That’s exactly what I mean “. Said Miss Jeffrey as Mrs Jarrett rushed to Zoella’s class.
“Zoella where is the file?” Mrs Jarrett asked immediately she entered.
“Which files?” She asked innocently.
“Don’t play innocent with me, you know what I’m talking about.” Mrs Jarrett said.
“I don’t understand you ma “. She said wobbly as Mrs Jarrett opened her locker and brought out the files she was looking for.
“Stand up you little thief. You have not changed Zoella how could you steal the school files? You are nothing but a disgrace to this school. You just resume from suspension yesterday, do you wish to receive another suspension? You are not qualified to be class rep anymore and we gonna elect another class rep tomorrow.” Mrs Jarrett rasped angrily and walked out of the class.
Her classmate began to rain abusive words on. She cried and ran out of the class and her friends followed her.
