Innocent Thief – Episode 13

Zoella stood by the window staring at the space in the sky. She was tired of life and everything. Examination was few days to go but she didn’t prepared for it because she was scared. Scared of life and everything around it. She turned from the window and stride to the sitting room. She sat down comfortably on a couch and took remote and switch on the television to watch kids music programme when her parents entered from the entrance.
“Zoe, won’t you read for your upcoming examination?” Mr Jones asked sitting beside her while Mrs Jones sat in front of her.
“She has become a very lazy girl this time around. She now hates studying , she steal everything she set her eye on that is among the reason she didn’t wanna study. A young thief.” Mrs Jones said abusively.
“Dear, do you have to make her feel rejected, do you even realize you are hurting her feeling ? She is our only child whether she is good or bad.” Mr Jones preached.
“I know she is our only child but I don’t gave birth to a thief.” She said with an eye rolled and tramped out of the scene.
“Dad, I don’t want to be a thief…”
“I know.” Mr Jones interrupted. “But why did you stopped reading? You are not like this before.
“If I study hard, ain’t sure maybe I will not have another suspension during the examination. Dad I’m tired.” Zoella cried.
“Never give up baby, God will answer our prayers One day.” Mr Jones assured.
“I don’t know why Mom hates me that extence, every mother will stay with her child All the time, in sorrow and in joy but Mom is not like this. She is too harsh on me I can’t believe she gave birth to me.” Zoe cried.
“Your mom doesn’t hates you, she is just too discipline. She hates bad behavior and I know you are going to change.” Mr Jones assumed.
“I can’t change dad, God hates me now. What is my offense, did I offend God because He has turn away from me.” Zoella cried.
“Never cursed yourself baby, God is impeachable. You don’t have to curse yourself, don’t let your be trouble trust in God there is nothing God can’t do, just keep praying.” Mr Jones console his weeping daughter.
The examination was done and dusted, Zoella praised God because she didn’t receive suspension throughout the exam though she steal and got punished but not with suspension.
“To God glory be”. Exclaimed Zoella as they walked to where Zoella’s car was parked.
“Thank you God because we’re the ones who started and finished the examination.” Harsha shouted and Zoella smiled.
“I should be the one thanking God for I didn’t receive any suspension though I performed woefully. I hope my results is good because I’m not sure.” Zoella pouted.
“We’re going to pass in Jesus name.” Prayed Emmaline.
“I’m going on a tour with my brother to sierra Lonnie.” She said.
“I will work with my sister at Wrigley diaries to get money for my junior class examination.” Harsha said.
Then they realize Zoella was silent since.
“Zoe you are quite, are you okay?” Asked Emmaline.
“Yeah, I am just thinking that I am lonely, I don’t have sibling and Mom will not let me go out.” She mumbled.
“Everything is gonna be okay.” Assured Harsha as the car halted, that’s when they realized they were to leave the car.
Harsha and Emmaline left the car and bid Zoella “GOODBYE “..
