I got out of the room and I saw the guard that called me.
“I am here. Who called me?” I asked and then Princess Maya appeared.
“I called you.” She said coldly and I swallowed hard looking at her.
“Walk with me.” She said and I furrowed my brows but didn’t make any statements. I just nodded and began to follow her with my head bowed.
“You know for sometimes, I thought you were a rival to me, but now I know you are nothing.” She said and I arched my brows in confusion.
“You actually did your part well Akira. And I should thank you for that.” She said and I was forced to speak up.
“I don’t understand Princess Maya.” I said and she stopped walking and then looked at me.
“You thought Prince Arjun liked you right?” She asked and i shook my head immediately.
“Of course not my Princess. Everyone knows he likes you.” I said and she smiled.
“Really? Didn’t know it was that obvious. So all he was doing was to see my reaction.” She said staring into space and I nodded smiling.
I knew I had to play along to make sure she doesn’t spill anything to King Maeko.
“Arjun talks about you a lot. He is just looking for the perfect time to let you know.” I said smiling and then I saw her blush.
“Actually he did it already.” She said and my eyes widened.
“What? What did he do?” I asked feeling great jealously in me.
“He kissed me.” She said and my eye lid began to shake. I swallowed hard as I saw the smile on her face.
“Wow. I am happy for you Princess Maya.” I said within gritted teeth and she nodded.
“And that’s why you have to stay away from him. He doesn’t like you, so back off.” She said in an angry tone and I was shocked.
I thought we were becoming friends already. Why the sudden change of heart?
“Princess Maya believe me, I don’t like the Prince. I know he has liked you right from the beginning, so why should I like him when he doesn’t like me back?” I asked and then someone coughed next to us.
We both turned our head to see Katika.
“We need to go now Maya. Father sent them to pick us up already.” She said and I looked at Princess Maya who looked frustrated.
“Can’t he wait for just an hour? Arjun should be awake before then. I need to say goodbye to him.” She said and I felt butterflies in my belly.
“She is leaving! She is really leaving!” I yelled in my head but kept a straight face.
“He can’t wait. Mother needs us now.” She said and then Princess Maya looked at me.
“Remember what I said always. Stay away from Arjun and kill does stupid feelings of yours because he is mine. And don’t be too happy I am leaving,I have eyes everywhere.”
“Any stupid move from you to my man, I am one call away. And I will make sure I come down here and we settle the matter with the King.” She said and I let fear take over my face.
“I will do just that Princess Maya.” I said bowing and then she moved her hand in a direction which means I should leave.
I nodded and began to walk away slowly.
“You believed what she said about her not having feelings for Arjun?” Princess Katika asked her sister.
“Of course not. But now she knows I am with Arjun, and she shouldn’t get close to him at all. I have eyes all over the Palace, people she doesn’t even think could work for me.” She said and that was the last thing I could hear.
Who could be helping her in this Palace? Anyone in their right senses would never help a b**ch like her. She should get the hell out of here as soon as possible.
“Akira.” I heard Nikita call.
“Ma’am Nikita.” I responded walking to her as she approached me.
“How is your face now?” She asked and I smiled.
“I have even forgotten I have a scar on my face.” I said touching my face. I wasn’t feeling anymore pains.
“You talked to Maya. Are you okay?” She asked looking worried and I nodded.
“I am fine. She was just giving me warnings, to stay away from her man.” I said and she scoffed.
“Her Man? You mean Arjun?” She asked as we both walked down the hallway.
“Yes.” I replied and she laughed.
“C’mon,Arjun hates her.” She said and I laughed.
“I don’t think so, considering the fact that she just told me he kissed her.” I said.
“What? That would be a lie. Why would he kiss her?” She asked.
“The big question of the year.” I responded and then we saw Aaron In front of us.
“Akira. Mother, can I talk to Akira? In Private?” He asked immediately and she looked at him in suspicion.
“What’s going on with you two? You are acting weird.” She said and he sighed.
“Trust me Mother, I am totally fine.” He said and then she breathed out looking at me before walking away.
“What Is it Aaron? This look on your face scares me. And I think we should be happy, Princess Maya is leaving.” I said happily.
“She is leaving??” He asked narrowing his gaze and I nodded.
“Yes why?” I asked and then he shook his head.
“That’s not the issue now. The issue now is that Prince Arjun is in front of the priest right now.” He said.
“What does that mean? What is he doing with the Priest?” I asked in confusion.
“I know it was wrong, what I did. But, I eavesdropped when you and Arjun were in that empty room.” He said and my eyes widened.
“What? Why would you do that?” I asked angrily.
“I am sorry, I was just curious. But believe me, I am fine with it. But right now the Priest would be searching Prince Arjun’s mind for the dream.”
“He wants to see things for himself. How the dream went.” He said and I nodded.
“That’s cool. At least they can do something about the rising war.” I said and he then tapped me gently.
“Akira think! If he sees the dream he would see where you guys kissed, and he won’t leave anything out for the king because it’s an abomination.” He said and my eyes widened.
I felt my knees wobble as he spoke and my eyes heated up.
“Oh No! What do I do! What do we do?” I asked in fear and I began to sweat.
“We need to distract them from doing that mind reading.” He said and I furrowed my brows.
“How? We can’t do anything to stop this Aaron. We are slaves.” I said in tears.
“I can.” We heard a familiar voice and I turned to see Princess Hana behind us.
“You know??” I asked stammering.
“He told me.” She said and then looked at Aaron.
“But how do we do this? How do we distract them until we find a way to solve this problem?” Aaron asked.
“I will be the distraction. You need to stab me.” She said and my eyes widened.
“What?” Aaron asked in shock.
