After minutes of racking my brain, I finally thought of how to move the weapons from the palace down to where Niran was.
I walked to the store and I saw the weapons were very loaded in them.
Then I saw two of the maids passing by, and I decided to stop them.
“Hey,” I said and they stopped abruptly.
“Ma’am Mei.” They said and this made me feel so full of myself. Of course, they have to respect me, I’m Katika’s girl.
“I need you to pack all these weapons out of here, and down to the backyard. We would be needing this store for the party.” I explained and they complied immediately.
“Ma’am Mei, it won’t be so easy for just the two of us.” One of the maids stated.
“Should we call some assistance?” The other asked and I shook my head.
“No. If you can’t pack all, just pack the good heavy ones and then arrange the rest carefully so there can be space.” I told acting very authoritative.
They got into the store and began to pack out the bows and arrows, the spears and axes, the guns and bullets.
As they did, I watched if anyone who could suspect would pass by and begin to ask me questions.
Luckily for me, these believed the lie I told them without a doubt.
And Maya and Katika would probably be busy at the party ground. And don’t even talk about the King and Queen, they haven’t even stepped their feet around this side of the Palace.
So I was confident no one would question me until I was done with my plans.
The store wasn’t so far from the backyard so it took them just a few minutes to take it out and return it.
I knew if I left them to do it on their own, time would be fast spent and Katika would notice I wasn’t in the room.
So I decided to join them to make it a quick one. I carried just a spear and noticed it was heavy as f**k.
“How do they even use this for battles?” I questioned myself in amusement.
I carried them to the backyard and when I saw the weapons were enough for Niran and his people, I dismissed the maids.
“That’s enough. You can join the party now. And don’t mention this to anyone, it’s a surprise, I can’t let anyone know until I am done.” I said and they nodded smiling.
I don’t know but they seem to like me around here. What never happened during Maeko’s reign.
As soon as the maids were out of sight, I reached for my phone and searched for Niran’s digits.
I saw it and dialed it moving to the door where Arjun was shot months ago.
“Katika how are things over there?” Arjun asked from the other side and I felt so happy he was the one I would be talking to. He has more patience and understanding than Niran.
“Everything is set. The weapons are at the back door.” I said.
“That’s good. But won’t we be seen?” Arjun further asked.
“No. You need to make haste because everyone is busy preparing for the party. But once Katika doesn’t see me around, she would start looking for me and I can’t leave this place until you are here.” I said looking around to make sure I wasn’t been watched.
“We would be there soon,” Arjun said and I nodded.
“You won’t be able to carry these weapons to the cave, they are heavy.” I warned.
“We won’t be needing it at the cave. It’s exactly where we want it to be.” Arjun said and I creased my brows.
“And if this is a setup, I swear I will kill you myself,” Niran said and I hung up angrily.
“Why can’t he just trust me for a second?” I thought still looking around suspiciously.
Suddenly I heard Katika’s voice in the hallway calling out to me.
“Mei! Where are you?” I heard her call and I quickly rushed down to her before she saw the weapons at the back door.
“Hey baby,” I said at the other end of the hallway and when she looked at me she looked sad.
“Why aren’t you dressed yet? The party started minutes ago.” She said pouting her mouth.
“I am sorry love. I just wanted to take a walk around the palace before the party starts.” I said and she kissed my lips.
“That’s understandable. But right now, you need to get dressed. My girlfriend can’t be seen like this.” She said and I smiled.
“Okay Baby. Let’s go.” I said pulling her hands as we both left the hallway leading to the backyard.
I prayed inwardly that no one would get there until Arjun is done with whatever he wants to do.
KATIKA
Maya dressed in very beautiful attire, everyone glared at her as she walked into the auditorium where the party was taking place.
People began to cheer and I had this large smile on my face, I couldn’t wait to ask Mei the million-dollar question of the day.
I glared at her from where I stood, examining her beauty all over and over again. She had a shoulder off the gown, which extended to her feet but had a slit cut up to her thighs.
I intentionally picked up that cloth for her because I knew she would look hot in it.
She caught me staring at her and she flushed making me smile. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
The music was still on, and many people from the father and mother’s side had arrived.
Maya began to greet the guests while I made sure everything was going as planned.
Father was busy having a chat with his friends when I walked to the podium.
“Good day everyone,” I said pulling everyone’s attention to myself. Everywhere went silent as their gazes fell upon me.
“I am happy to see everyone here today, I am happy to know we all honored the invitation sent to us. Thank you so much.” I said and cheers came from the audience.
“As we all know, we are here to celebrate with my beautiful sister and not only that. But to also celebrate the success of my father, the new king of Medan!” I told and they began to clap loudly.
“Thank you! Thank you!” I said and the cheering reduced.
“I would like to call on my beautiful sister the celebrant of today to the podium. Princess Maya!” I called in a very loud tone and Maya began to approach the podium.
She wore a very beautiful smile on her face and the cheering was louder and longer than earlier. I also clapped as she approached me.
“Thank you.” She said waving to everyone and the noises reduced.
“Happy Birthday Sister,” I said in front of everyone hugging her right there.
“Thank you.” She said looking very happy.
“Before I hang over the microphone to the celebrant. I would love to acknowledge somebody. This person has been my happiness for weeks now. She has been my strength and friend. The only soulmate I have.” I said with my eyes fixed on Mei.
She had a very large smile on her face as I glared at her.
“I can’t do without you Mei,” I said and the maids held her hands and led her to the podium. I could see tears in her eyes as she came closer.
“You have made me live the best of my life this past week and I want that to last forever,” I said leaving the microphone and dipping my hand inside the pocket of the dress. I went on my knees and immediately screams came from the audience.
Mei’s eyes widened and tears rolled down her eyes as she saw the ring in my hand.
“Mei, will you be my wife?” I asked with a very large smile. She nodded with tears dropping down her eyes, stretching her finger to me.
I placed the ring on her hand and she pulled me up kissing me deeply.
“I love you.” She said hugging me tightly.
“I love…” I said and stopped abruptly as I felt something very sharp hit me at my back.
I heard screams from the people and Mei’s eyes widened.
I fell to the ground and my eyes went shut. I fell unconscious.
