The Slave And I – Episode 11

                      AARON 

I helped Akira out of Prince Arjun’s hands and helped her to her room. Her face was swollen and damaged.

“I hate these people.” I said as she sat on her own bed.

“You can’t blame them. They have no respect for ordinary humans, talkless of slaves.” She said in pain.

“This is cruel! So cruel!” I yelled making her flinch.

“Aaron watch what you say. I don’t want to lose you okay?” She stated and I sighed staring at her.

“Do you have any ointment around?” I asked and she nodded.

“Nikita kept some in the drawer for us. Just for times like this.” She said and I walked to the drawer to get it.

I looked for a cloth around and tore a small part of it. I walked to the bathroom to get water In a bowl and then came back.

“This may hurt a little. But it’s for your own good.” I said and she nodded not muttering any words.

I dipped the cloth into the water, and held up her face. I began to use it to clean the faces of the wound and she winced while I did.

“Why did she do this to you?” I asked as I helped her clean her face.

“Because she feels I love looking for attention anytime I am around Prince Arjun.” She explained.

“But that isn’t true.” I said and she sighed.

“I know. But she doesn’t know that. And that is why she did this to me, to my face.” She said staring at herself in the mirror.

“Now you know why she did this to you. You need to stay away from Prince Arjun.” I said and she nodded.

“I know that too, but he doesn’t want that. Even after I told him, he told me that he isn’t hating me, neither am I staying away from him.” She muttered and I stood up in anger.

“That is so selfish of him! You are the one suffering, you are the one that keeps paying for everything. You need to stay far away from him.”

“I know he is nice to the slaves, but his been nice to you Is putting you in trouble,not him. You should hate him if possible.” I said and she sighed.

“I will stay away from him. But hate him? I don’t think I can do that.” She said calmly.

“You will have to. You are too innocent for this kind of treatment Akira. You need to be careful.” I pleaded and she looked at me nodding.

“Thank you Aaron.” She mumbled.

“Thank me for what?” I asked staring at her.

“For helping me with this. You shouldn’t be the one doing this.” She said and I smiled.

“Of course I should. I am your friend, and the rest of your friends are busy serving the Royals. We are friends Akira. I am here for you.” I said and she smiled looking at me.

“Thanks.” She said hugging me, and I was shocked at first. I later hugged her in return smiling widely.

I brushed down her hair with my hand, showing her she could be comfortable around me, and ever trust me.

“It will fine Akira. I promise.” I whispered kissing her hair.

                     PRINCESS HANA 

Arjun walked into the dinning area looking very pissed, and I knew something had happened again. He sat next to me and kept his head bowed facing his food.

“What’s wrong? You are boiling.” I whispered in his ears.

“Can you please promise me something?” He asked and I arced my brows.

“Sure. What’s that?” I asked looking at him.

“Promise me that you wouldn’t let anyone just use your maids like they are theirs.” He said and I sighed.

“I don’t understand. Is this about Akira?” I asked and he looked away.

“You need to see how they have treated her today. She is your maid and no one has the right to use her or even lay a finger on her.” He said within gritted teeth.

I looked across the table and I saw Maya and her sister chatting.

I stood up and walked out of the room holding Arjun as I did.

“What Happened to Akira?” I asked as soon as we moved far away from the dinning room.

“Niran told Katika about what Akira did that night at the party. So she wanted her to suffer, so she ordered Akira to wash all her clothes with her bare hands.” He explained.

“What?” I asked in anger.

“I dismissed her and asked the Palace maids to take over the washing,using the machine. I got to meet with Katika and I made her understand she has no right to send another person’s maids errands.”

“To be honest I didn’t know all these happened.” I said sadly.

“I know and that’s why I am telling you this. That isn’t all Hana. After that, can you believe Maya actually attacked her and beat her up?” He asked and my eyes widened.

“Is she insane?? Why would she hit her?” I asked angrily.

“No matter what she feels or what she has done. She has absolutely no right to touch her.” He stated and I nodded.

“I swear I will make Maya regret this. I actually thought she would be a little different from Katika. But now, I can see she is worse.” I said angrily.

“She is in her room. You should go see her. Aaron is with her.” He said.

“Aaron.” I called looking away.

“What’s wrong? He asked and I shook my head looking at him and smiling.

“Nothing. I will go to her now. I will handle Maya later. Looks like father will be the one to settle this.” I said walking away.

I headed to the room and Aaron’s name kept ringing in my head. So he and Akira are friends. 

That’s… Good.

I got to the room, and opened the door to see his face very close to hers. He was helping her clean her face and they were staring at each other.

Immediately they both saw me, they bowed their heads and I pretended like I didn’t see anything.

“Hey, are you okay?” I asked approaching them.

“I am getting better Princess Hana. Aaron is helping me apply some ointment.” She muttered and I looked at Aaron whose head was still bowed.

“Thank you Aaron. But you shouldn’t be here you know. Call Mei and Vanna, they should come take care of her.” I said and he looked at me nodding before walking out of the room.

“You have no rights to answer to anyhow apart from me. I am your master and only I can give you orders.”

“Not Katika, not Maya,not Niran, not even Arjun. So don’t let yourself suffer for nothing.” I explained and she nodded.

“Thank you Princess Maya.” She said and I smiled faintly. The door opened and her friends came in.

When they saw her their eyes widened,but they couldn’t hear anything because I was there.

“You should take care of her. She needs your help.” I said and they nodded with their hands folded.

I walked out of the room and I met Aaron in the hallway.

“She will be fine.” I said to him and he nodded.

“Thank you Princess Hana. I really appreciate it.” He said and I shook my head.

“You shouldn’t be. She is my maid, I should take care of her.” I said Smiling and he nodded smiling too.

“And how are you?” I asked and he sighed.

“Good. But always very careful.” He said and I nodded understanding exactly what he meant.

“You should be.” I said looking at him and he stared back.

“Aaron.” I heard Nikita call and we looked at her.

“I would go take care of Maya.” I said walking away.
