The Slave And I – Episode 19

 

                             AARON 

“I can’t let you do this Princess Hana. It’s too risky.” I said walking close to her.

“You don’t know my father the way I do Aaron. This is about the power and country he cherish so much. I can’t or you both can’t just go there and stop him from seeing it.” She stated but I wasn’t still satisfied.

“What if you act like you fell unconscious?” Akira asked and she shook her head.

“That’s not enough reason to bring him out of that meeting room. Instead he would send mother to me. But I know he can never ignore if it comes to life and death, and he sees it himself.” She explained and I still shook my head.

“I won’t do that to you Princess. I can’t.” I muttered.

“I will do it myself, I know this will work. Father won’t bare to see me bleeding.” She stated.

“And what if he asks what happened from us?” Akira asked.

“You know nothing about it. You met me in the hallway struggling. I know what I am going to tell him.” She said and I was still not satisfied.

“And what about you! Your life. If you stop the mind reading, what about your own health? What if you don’t survive it?” I asked fearfully.

“I will. I know where to stab.” She said and I held my head not knowing what to say anymore.

“Aaron, I know you care about me. But I care about my brother, and my brother cares about Akira. And if he was in my shoes, he would do more than this for me. So I am doing this Aaron. It will be fine. I promise.” She said and I nodded reluctantly.

Though I kept thinking about a plan B, but nothing was coming. I knew only his Children could distract him from anything about Medan. 

And Niran and Hana are the only ones that can do this. Niran won’t even listen, instead complicate issues. 

So we are left with only Hana, and her so risky plan.

“So what do we do now? Can’t I take the injury myself?” I asked and she smiled.

“You can’t Aaron. Father won’t even listen to you, instead he would ask the maids to take care of you. You are a…” She said and paused sighing.

“I am a slave and my life doesn’t matter. Got it.” I said nodding and she heaved.

“I am the only one that can do this, and I have thought about this over and over again. We are doing this.” She said walking and we followed behind her.

“So where do you stab yourself and where do we see you?” Akira asked and I nodded.

“I will do it in the chamber with Aaron inside with me. He would be the one to give the alarm and then you run to the meeting hall.” She said to her and my eyes widened.

“Won’t they think I was the one that stabbed you?” I asked.

“Aaron you wanted to save me. I can’t do this on my own and I need you to be there. It’s simple, you were passing and you saw the guards were not at the door, then the door was slightly open. You saw me on the floor In my own blood and cried out.”

“Then Akira heard you and she ran to the King and Queen. That would do the trick.” She explained and I swallowed hard.

“Okay. I am sorry for this Princess Hana.” Akira apologized.

“It’s fine.” She replied smiling.

“Her generosity is unspeakable.” I thought staring at her.

“And thank you. For doing this for us.” She added.

“Like I said, I am doing this for Arjun because if anything happens to you he won’t be able to forgive himself, and he would be miserable. I can’t take that.” She said as soon as we got to her chamber.

We passed by like we were just going on our own, and then we heard her dismiss the guards.

After everywhere was clear, with Akira watching out for us. She called me In and I walked in to see the knife in her hand already.

“Princess Hana.” I called fearfully and she smiled breathing out loud.

“It will be okay Aaron.” She said raising up the knife to her belly and I rushed to her and placed a deep kiss on her lips.

She kissed back, and before I knew it she groaned into my mouth. She stabbed herself and began to fall to the ground.

“Oh My God!!! Somebody help!!” I yelled not for an act but in reality.

Seeing her that way gave me the greatest shock of my life.

“Princess Hana! Please stay with me! Please.” I said and tears automatically began to roll down my eyes.

              ARJUN 

“Are you sure this Is what you saw? I need you to think about that dream before I go into your head.” The priest stated and I looked at Father.

“That’s all I saw. Is there any need to read my mind again? After I have told you all what I saw?” I asked and Father spoke up.

“Arjun I know you are saying the truth. And you and I know that your dreams are visions. I need him to know how bad this is, so he can tell me what to do.”

“You shouldn’t have any problem with that, this isn’t the first time you are doing this so why are you acting strange? Are you keeping something?” He asked and my heart skipped.

“Keep something? Why should I?” I asked trying not to stammer.

“So let’s get this done with.” He stated and I nodded swallowing my saliva hardly.

“Give me your hands. You need to concentrate and start thinking about the dream. Remember, don’t try to block it, I would know and it wouldn’t be good for you.” He said and I nodded.

I couldn’t stop thinking of what to do to stop this! If I blocked it, he would know and would tell father.

If I open up, Akira is dead.

“Are you ready?” He asked and I nodded. I could hear my own heart beating very fast. I could feel my sweat force itself out around my forehead.

“I am ready.” I said and then he stretched his hand forth and I gave him him hand. Immediately he touched my hand, my eyes shut automatically and it was like I began to reply the dream In my head.

He began to say some unknown languages, and I noticed I don’t even have any control over my mind at the moment.

“My King!! My Queen!!!” I heard Akira’s voice from afar.

“Get out of here!” Father yelled.

“Princess Hana is dying! She stabbed herself!” She yelled and immediately I got my hands off the Priest In shock.

“What???” Father and I chorused at the same time. We ran out of the room, when we remembered mother was in there too.

She was rushed out of the room after she fell unconscious due to the shocking news.

We got to her chamber and then we saw Aaron standing at the door in tears. His hand covered with blood.

“What did you do!” Father roared rushing to Hana who was laying on the floor stained with her own blood.

“I.. I.. was passing when I looked inside the room and met her like this. I don’t know what happened.” He stammered and my eyes widened.

“Get the doctor! Now!” I yelled. This time the maids and guards were surrounding us already. Though they were at the door and we were inside.

“Hana stay with me.” Father said carrying her in his hands. Her face was pale and I could feel her pulse were fainting.

“Dad we need to stop the bleeding. She is dying.” I said in tears rushing to her wardrobe and picking up one of her clothes. 

I ran back to her and folded the cloth,I placed it on her belly and applied pressure on the wound.

Father stood up angrily and looked at Aaron.

“My daughter would never think of killing herself.” He said approaching Aaron, and I knew Aaron would never hurt her.

“Father. He can’t do this to Hana.” I said and he shook his head.

“I don’t trust a slave which his father died in this palace, And you shouldn’t too. He may want to use this as revenge.” He said and Aaron shook my head.

“No My King. I can’t even hurt a fly, I didn’t do this.” He mumbled in tears.

“I will be sure about that when Hana is awake. Take him to the dark room!” He ordered and my mouth dropped open.

“Father.” I called but he ignored me. I looked at Niran to help me but all he did was hold Hana and stare at him.

“And you should know that if anything happens to Hana. You are dead.” He added and the guards grabbed him dragging him out of the room.

“This isn’t fair.” I said and he looked at me angrily.

“Shut up!” He roared and I kept shut swallowing hard.

Plan worked, but now Aaron is in danger 

This is not good… Aaron’s life is hanging on Hana’s survival
