” How dare you!!!!” Father uttered as he burst into the doctor’s office fuming
My mind had already concluded that he must have stumbled on the truth about me being the brain behind his st0len money
I just wished the ground would open up and swallow me because I know how much of a disgrace it would be if father explodes here in the hospital
Ah! I’ll be dragged out like a goat and automatically I’ll be labeled a thยกef for all who cares to listen to his tales
How will I have the face to come to this hospital again after today…?
How will I even bear the shame and the disgrace from people here…?
I prayed in my heart that even if father has discovered the truth, that he should take it easy on me and shouldn’t melt out punยกshment on me in the hospital
I don’t think I can bear the shame please. Certainly not here!
The next words I heard from father were so loud that it echoed in the office and doctor Stanley looked on wondering what was going on
” Woman so it has reached the extent of hiding my daughter from me. Why didn’t you tell me about Erica being in the hospital…? How dare you try to keep me from knowing what you’ve done to my child!” Father thundered whilst staring รขngrily at mother
I heaved a sigh of relief as I heard that. I was happy that at least it wasn’t what I thought it to be.
But wait a second, why is he trying to blame mother for Erica’s condition…?
Has he suddenly forgotten how he hit Erica in mother’s place which caused her to slump…? Or is he probably pretending to sรบffer from amnesia…?
I hissed inaudibly as I thought inwardly that father definitely needs spiritual help or maybe mental treatment.
” …woman you better tell me where my daughter is and what you’ve done to her before I deal with you here and now!”
Doctor Stanley still surprised at father’s outburst was able to comport himself. He saw how tensed mother was and decided to step in to savage the situation
” You should calm down Sir. Your daughter is fine although her condition is a little delicate. She needs a blรธรธd transfusion with immediate effect or we risk a chance of losing her”
” God forbid! My daughter is going nowhere. So woman this is your plan right…to kยกll my children and you want to first start with the child that is my carbon copy…?” Father asked pointing his fingers threateningly at mother
Indeed Erica is his carbon copy in terms of physical appearance, unlike I and Angie who look more like mother facially. I guess that’s the actual reason why Erica is more of father’s favorite.
” Jamie how can you even say that…they are my children too remember…? Honestly I tried telling you yesterday but…” Mother tried to explain herself but father didn’t even let her finish before rudely cutting her off
” Shฮผt up your mouth before I shฮผt it for you with my hands…” Father said to mother who had to keep her mouth shut almost immediately
Doctor Stanley who was beginning to understand the situation shook his head as he looked from me to mother and finally focused on father. I wonder what was going through his mind
“…so if Flora did not tell me how she saw Jacob trying to drag Erica to the hospital…I wouldn’t have known that my daughter is in dฤnger… is that it..?” Father blurted out without caring if a third party was watching him or not.
Flora, that wench! Only God knows what else she must have told father to make him this angry with mother.
I’m getting tired of his rants. Can father just stop apportioning blame already!
For goodness sake, his daughter is at the verge of dying and yet he is here looking for who to blame
I’m sure that if the doctor wasn’t here he would have even beaten mother
Well I’m not even surprised anyways, a self-centered man will always remain self-centered anytime anywhere.
I’m just hoping and praying that the doctor will try talking some sense into him and thankfully my prayers worked
” Sir you are blowing things out of proportion. Our patient needs blรธรธd transfusion and only you can donate the blรธรธd which will be used to save her. Once this procedure is done…I can guarantee you that your daughter will be fine and out of here in no time!”
Father turned to look at the doctor and he calmed down before asking him.
I was even surprised that father could speak so calmly, very different from how he spoke to mother earlier.
” Please where can I donate the blรธรธd doctor…?”
” I have rang the nurse. She should be here shortly to take you to the theatre. Please kindly take a seat Sir and wait!”
That was how father sat as a gentleman and waited for the nurse the doctor was referring to.
Shortly afterwards, she came and it turned out to be nurse Cindy.
She was on her usual catwalk, father looked at her hungrily and I felt so disgusted with the way he stared at Cindy who was enjoying his attention not minding if mother was there.
When nurse Cindy walked to the doctor’s side of the desk, I could see the way father’s eyes were unashamedly staring at her buttocks and her waist.
I think Mother noticed it too but had to keep quiet in order to avoid trouble.
After receiving the instructions from the doctor, nurse Cindy walked out with father following closely behind her. It was so obvious that his eyes were still focused on her buttocks and I won’t be surprised if he ends up asking her out.
After both left, Doctor Stanley dismissed us from his office and asked that we wait in the waiting hall.
About two hours later, we were informed by the other nurse Nancy that the procedure was successful and that the blรธรธd had been transfused to Erica.
Mother was so happy that she was beamed and leaped for joy not minding the curious eyes of the few onlookers in the waiting hall.
I was elated too knowing that Erica was finally out of the danger zone.
Father came out from the theatre to the waiting hall and walked past us as though we were nonexistent.
I watched his body movement and I noticed that something was definitely off with him. I wonder what he has up his sleeves this time around.
He sat on one of the seats and kept looking at a door as though he was expecting someone or something
To my surprise, it was Nurse Cindy who opened that particular door.
She walked out of it and catwalked towards the direction of the Hall’s restroom which was directly facing where we sat in the waiting hall.
Before completely walking out of sight, I saw her give father a side eye signal which affirmed to my instincts that something was definitely off.
I watched as Father smiled like a child who was just offered a lollipop. He stood up immediately and dashed inside the restroom closing the door behind him
Ah! Is this man truly this shameless that he’ll do this even at a hospital too…?
I don’t know if mother also noticed the unusual movement because she stood up shortly after, and told me that she wanted to make use of the restroom
Wow! were the only words which escaped my lips as I watched everything
I’m confused and I don’t know what to do right now!
Talking mother out of this, was a total waste of time as she can be really stubborn especially when it has to do with father whom she loves so much.
If mother eventually goes in there and confronts father then it is surely going to be disastrous for everyone!
Oh my God! I uttered with my hands on my head expecting the worst.
How do I stop these two from washing their dirty linen in this public place..?
I thought as my mind was trying to figure out a way out of the impending mess.
