The K1ller’s Knife – Episode 25
I was weak in the knees and I fell to the floor at once. I was crying and couldn’t believe everything I read just now but then the truth cannot be erased
It is unbelievable that Father nursed the thoughts of taking mother out of the way too so it will be a shared loss for both of them. That way flora will not feel used
The first note clearly stated that Flora was the one who had firmly kicked against the plot of k!lling mother too.
She wrote there that she didn’t see the need of having two people’s blood on their hands when he could easily throw mother out of his house as the man of the house.
She went further to admit that while they were friends, mother was so good to her and she couldn’t bear to cause her any irreversible harm like death.
That k!lling Keto her husband is still feeling difficult for her to carry out as he did her no wrong, so father shouldn’t make things more difficult than it is already
On the last paragraph of the note, she pleaded with father for the last time not to kill mother with the slow p0!son meant for the female gender. It was attached with a strong warning; she threatened that she will back out of the whole plan of k!lling anyone if father still insists on doing what’s on his mind.
When I raised the second bottle to read the description on it, truly it confirmed what the letter said that it is a slow p0!son strictly meant for females.
This only means one thing! father had cultivated these bad ideas, suggested it to Flora, and brought the p0!son long before he sent mother packing.
Father really wanted to k!ll my mother if not that Flora stopped him.
It also means that what I heard him say over the phone to Flora after mother left, about him finding a way out wasn’t really what I thought it was, rather it is another thing which I don’t know
All of these truths were so hard to take in and come to terms with. So many questions plagued my mind
Who really is this man I call my father..? The answer was staring at me in the face that he is an unrepentant béãst and a k!ller!
I kept thinking to myself..
So what if Flora was not compassionate enough to stop him, is this how I would have lost mother too…?
I composed myself and raised the second paper to read its contents, although I felt inwardly scared. I mean if the first note could be this bad then how will the second one be like…?
After a while, I braced myself for whatever discovery I will see and that’s how I began reading the paper.
Oh my God! What I saw on it was even more heart-wrenching
Obviously the letter was written by Flora to father shortly after Keto’s dëäth. It was in two paragraphs.
The first one, flora was telling father that her inlaws are planning to take Keto’s body for an autopsy to find out the cause of his sudden dëäth.
She was lamenting that she doesn’t know what to do, so father should better come up with something very fast to cover their deeds. I’m guessing this is where father came up with the way out as he said to her over the phone
The second paragraph was her telling father how she feels so guilty for what they did to Keto. She was wishing that she never listened to him because ever since that day, she has been unable to sleep because of constant nightmares.
According to Flora in the letter, every night after that day she kept on seeing Keto in her dreams and he was always calling out her name pa!nfully.
She wrote that she still cannot forget the pitiful look on her husband’s face on the last day of his d£@th
The way Keto shook his head in sadness as she was telling him that she p0!soned him slowly and can’t wait for him to d!e so she can marry the man she loves!
The struggle to stay alive when the p0!son was sucking his breath away
The way Keto asked her ‘why doing this for a man who treats women like a piece of trash?’ which suggested that he knew about her affair with father who is of course a woman béåter
The pain laced in his voice as he called her name for the last time before dying.
Everything was just tormenting her and she wished so badly to turn back the hands of time to undo her wrongs. This is where the letter finally ended.
My heart sank as I finished reading.
So he even knew his wife was cheating on him with father and yet he kept quiet because he loved her…? Oh this is bad!
I cried even more as I imagined the pâin innocent Keto must have gone through especially when he knew who flora was k?lling him for.
I wiped my tears and my resolve to pay father back in his own coin further increased.
I vowed right there not to allow a k!ller like father plot an innocent man’s dëäth and then go Scot free, never!
The fact that he even wanted to k!ll mother too makes me even ángr!er and scared of what he isn’t capable of doing. I won’t be surprised if he has the heart to k!ll us his children since he is such a béást in human body. How I h.á.te him!
I took the two po0!son bottles with me and left the room after making sure that everything was in the place I met it.
Before I read those letters, I thought of making Flora pay too for what she did to Keto but now I have changed my mind. She was mother’s saving grace so I will let her go free since she is already bearing the torments for her actions.
I went to bed that night feeling so angry at father such that all the thoughts on my mind was on how to k!ll him in revenge for Keto’s dëäth.
My heart was telling me to think things through but I kicked it behind me. I am very sure even God will thank me for putting an end to someone like him!
The following morning; I woke up, dressed, and then made my way to the hospital but I was no longer the Jacob I used to be. My heart condition has been contaminated by what I discovered
When I got to the hospital to see father, I met one of the nurses in the hall who informed me that father was awake but he was with someone.
At first I thought maybe it was mother who came to visit the love of her life but the nurse confirmed that the visitor is a man not a woman
I was wondering who it was but I couldn’t place my head at who it could be, so I decided to just go in there and find out who the unknown person is
I was about to open the door of father’s private ward when I heard something that caught my attention and I paused abruptly to listen to their discussion
” I think Jacob is up to something fishy. I followed him yesterday and it is your new wife’s place he went to” a man said and his voice didn’t sound familiar at all
” Seriously…? Why will Jacob go to Flora’s place…? It is really suspicious!” I heard father’s response and I was feeling very worried for myself
What’s going on…? Who is this man and why was he even following me yesterday…? Or is father keeping tabs on me or what exactly is happening..?
