I waited for Kel patiently under the shed. I really hope she gets to listen to him. I feel like I have ruined him with my problems enough.
And now the school? I can’t let him lose that too because of me.
I saw the door of the house open and Kel stormed out. It didn’t look good at all. I stood up quickly and ran to him.
“Kel.” I called. He looked quite upset and he was walking very fast.
“Sandra we are leaving now.” He said holding my hand but I stopped him.
“Kel stop. How was it?” I asked and he sighed.
“She isn’t coming back.” He said and I furrowed my brows.
“Why would she do that to you? After these years?” I asked releasing my hand from his and heading to the house in anger.
“You would worsen the case. She won’t listen.” He said drawing me back.
“Why?” I asked and he sighed.
“I can’t give her what she wants. Let’s just go. We will find another way.” He said and I shook my head.
“No. She is the only one that can do this. I can’t ruin all you have been building Kel. I won’t let that happen.” I said adamantly.
“Well we will have to do all it takes. Cos I can’t do what she wants.” He said looking away.
“What does she want Kel.” I said and I saw him swallow hard.
“Don’t worry about it Sandra. I have this under control.” He said and I shook my head.
“No you don’t. The last time I checked, you have abandoned your students and they paid you already. What did she ask you to do?? What does she want?” I asked in a loud voice.
“She wants me to kiss her! Can you allow that? No! Can I allow that? Never!” He said walking away and I stood there dumbfounded.
“She wants to kiss him? Why would she do this?” I thought looking at the house and I saw her at the door with her hands crossed.
I summoned courage and went to her in anger.
“Why are you so mean?” I asked standing in front of her.
“You are the meaner and selfish one here. You know you are ruining his life, and you don’t want to let him go.”
“You came and destroyed everything good thing he had. His passion, his best friend, his school and you feel cool about it.”
“You found your way into his life by force and made him let me go. Now you need my help?”
“I knew he won’t kiss me. But do you know I really what I want? I want you far away from him. I don’t want you near our lives.”
“If you truly love him, you will know leaving him is the best for him.” She said and walked into the house slamming the door at my face.
Tears rolled down my eyes, I felt so hurt because all she said was actually the truth.
I looked up and I saw Kel was still waiting at the road, his back was against me.
I approached him cleaning my teary eyes.
“You shouldn’t have met her. Let’s get out of here.” He said holding my hand.
“She is saying the truth Kel.” I said and he looked at me.
“I don’t care what she says okay? I can take care of myself. You aren’t doing anything stupid. If you leave me, then you have runied me finally.”
“I won’t be able to think straight, talkless of running a school. So leaving me is not an option. Except you are happy seeing me miserable.” He said as we both walked away.
“I don’t know what to do to help Kel. I feel guilty.” I said and he looked at me.
“Whatever is happening is never your fault. It’s not your fault you are haunted, it’s not your fault I fell in love with you even though I thought it would never happen, it’s never your fault that Diego decided to be a d**k, it’s not your fault Rose loves me and didn’t let me know on time. She had a boyfriend. So stop blaming yourself.” He rapped to my face as tears rolled down my face.
I nodded and he kissed my forehead tightening his grip on my hand.
“We should see the driver now. We have something to do tonight.” He said and I nodded.
To him he had made his point and I take it. But I don’t, I need to leave him.
“I’m sorry Kel.” I thought looking at him as we walked away.
On our way to the drivers house, we had this awkward silence admist us and I wasn’t comfortable with it at all.
“I am sorry for yelling at you.” He said and I looked at him.
“It’s fine Kel. I also did that, and I am sorry, so sorry.” I said and he smiled faintly.
We got to the drivers house and when we got to the door we knocked. We waited for a response but we heard nothing.
“Did he go out?” I said and Kel held the door handle and to our surprise the door was opened.
Kel walked in first and I followed him. We looked inside and we saw everywhere was scattered.
“What’s going on?” I asked fearfully until I saw blood at my right hand side.
I yelled and Kel held me to himself.
“Wait here.” He said and traced the blood to the kitchen.
“Shit.” He said and I ran to the kitchen to see the driver on the floor, in the pool of his own blood. A knife was in his tummy.
“Oh my God.” I said as I bursted into tears loudly.
Kel approached him checking his pulse.
“He’s dead.” He said and I fell to the ground weeping profusely.
