We got to Rose’s house and we stood at the door staring at it.
“Do you think this would work? I am not sure Sandra. She hates me now.” I said and she placed her finger on my lips.
“No going back Kel. Get in there. I will stay here, if she sees me, she wouldn’t want to talk.” She said and I sighed.
“Are you sure?” I asked and she nodded.
“I will be under that shed. She won’t easily sight need from here.” She said and I nodded. She walked away and I faced the door again.
I summoned courage and walked up to the door to knock on it. I actually saw a bell so I pressed on it.
I waited impatiently and nervously for her to show up. I was expecting the worse from her, maybe a slap.
The door opened and when she saw me she wanted to shut the door.
“Wait Rose. Please.” I said holding the door off.
“What do you want Kel? And where is your puppet?” She asked and I sighed.
“Please Rose. I just want to talk.” I said and she smriked.
“After two days of abandoning me? It’s sure you have everything under control, so I don’t want to talk to you.” She said trying to shut the door again but I stopped it.
“Rose, I know you have every reason to be mad. For old times sake. Please let’s take this discussion inside. I know you hate me, but please I need you Rose. Please.” I said and I saw her face soften.
“You aren’t using more than five minutes. Your time starts now.” She said letting go of the door and walking in.
I looked back and I didn’t see Sandra in sight, so I walked in and shut the door.
“Thank you for letting me in.” I said and she sighed.
“Four minutes more.” She said.
“You must really hate me now Rose. And I am sorry.” I said and she stared at me with her hands crossed.
“I think I know what you are trying to do. You want me back to the school to help keep up with the activity, so you can go on an honeymoon Adventure with her.” She said rolling her eyes.
“Rose please don’t see things like that. We have know each other too much for this to happen to us.” I said walking close to her.
“Kel get out. Your time is up.” She said trying to avoid my face.
“Rose please don’t push me away. We are best friends.” I said and she looked at me.
“Not anymore. Not when you are still with her.” She said looking away.
“Rose me being with her doesn’t chance the fact that I care about you.” I said and she scoffed.
“You really proved that two days ago.” She said and I swallowed hard. It isn’t as easy as I thought.
“Rose, can we please leave Sandra out of this discussion? This is the best friends talk now.” I said and she looked at me.
“That doesn’t change the fact the you would do anything for her, like trying to bring me back to the school because you want to spend quality time with her.” She said in a kinda loud tempo.
“That’s not what it is. She….” I said and she cut me short.
“Don’t you get it!!!! Kel I love you!!! I love you!!! So much and I am crazy seeing you with her! You do whatever she wants! You broke our friendship and trust because of her! You are having problems with the school because of her!!! Don’t you see she isn’t someone you should be with!” She yelled and all I did was stare at her.
I was speechless and dumbfounded.
“You are surprised right? But that’s the while truth. She came into your life, and problems started. Because of that, I lost what I love doing the most and you allowed it slide because you love her. So go Kel, if I don’t see you, maybe I will forget about you.” She said and I shook my head.
“Rose I swear I never knew. I swear with my life.” I said in a low Tone.
“I know, but you still love her. So forget about me loving you. I have found another job at a company, I will be resuming on Monday.” She said turning her back against me.
“Rose I beg you. Our lives are in danger and if I don’t take care of that, I will lose my life and that of Sandra’s. Please just for one week, I promise to sort everything and then you will start your new job.” I pleaded.
“Give me one good reason why I should help you. You left me, you abandoned our friendship, what we have shared long before you met her.” She said with her back still against me.
“Please for old times. For what we have shared. Please Rose.” I said and she turned her back to face me.
And when I thought she agreed, she came up with something else. Something I wasn’t expecting at all.
“Kiss me Kel.” She said and I went dumbfounded again.
“What?” I asked.
“I guess you aren’t prepared to do anything to get me back to the school, so I could help you and your woman. A Kiss won’t hurt, go and come back to me whenever you are ready to give it to me.” She said walking away.
“Rose please, you can’t do this. I am with Sandra.” I said and she opened the door.
“Of course I can. You have used more than thirty minutes, I guess you wasted your time. Go away Kel.” She said and I approached the door feeling heart broken.
I stepped out and she shut the door, not letting me say a word.
