Killian’s POV
I arrive at my parent’s Mansion, everyone’s already there except Keira.
“Son, you called for a meeting. Is everything alright?” My dad asked when he sees my worried expression.
“Dad, Mom, something big has happened and I need your help” I said.
” What is it?” Mom asked.
I sigh.
” Ryan’s missing” I replied.
” What?!!” They both exclaims.
Mom rushed to me and holds onto my hand.
“What do you mean he’s missing? How did that happen?” She asked.
“I don’t really know how it happened, he was still in school, I don’t know how Anita managed to get to him” I said.
” Does your wife knows about this?” Dad asked me.
“No, and I don’t want her to find out about it yet. You know she is pregnant, I don’t want any complications” I replied.
Mom and dad stays silent for a moment, staring at nothing. Just then Keira and Lucas comes in.
“Oh, Killian, I’m so sorry. Why does this always happen to us?” She laments.
Ok, maybe Keira is a little overreacting.
Just then, my phone starts to ring. Everyone starts to look at me expectantly, I reach for my phone and check the callers ID. It’s an unknown number.
“Put it on speaker phone” Lucas said.
I press the answer button and puts the phone on loud speaker.
“He.. hello” I said in a shaky voice.
I hear a laugh from the other side of the phone.
“Hello my sweet, sweet Killian. We haven’t seen each other for three months now, don’t you miss me?” Anita ask.
I close my eyes and takes a deep breath.
“Anita, where’s Ryan? Why did you take him?” I asked quickly.
” Tatatata, no rush. Ryan is safe, but he won’t be for long” she said.
“What do you want?” I asked.
She laughs loudly but briefly.
” You know what I want. I want you, just you” she said.
I pause, I need to be careful with her, or she’ll do harm to Ryan. I can’t let that happen.
“Okay, let Ryan go first, then we’ll talk about us” I told her calmly.
She sighs.
” I can let Ryan go… But I need you to do something first”
“What do you want me to do?” I asked.
” Divorce Claire!” She said.
” What?!!” I exclaims.
I look around, everyone have the same Expression as me.
“Yes. Divorce Claire and I want to see the divorce papers with my eyes, then I’ll let Ryan go” she said.
Anita is crazy, if I don’t agree to her terms, she won’t mind killing Ryan. After all, she’s tried before, I can’t give her a second chance.
“Fine. I’ll divorce her, but until then keep Ryan safe or else, you will never have a chance with me” I told her.
” Deal. I’ll give you one week to finalize everything, I’ll be patiently waiting” then she hangs up before I can say anything else.
I slump onto the sofa nearest to me.
“Killian, are you out of your mind? Why did you agree to divorce Claire?” My mom asked angrily.
” Mom, calm down. I have a plan, if she wants me to divorce Claire, I’ll do. I just need my son to be safe and sound” I said.
They all look at me in disbelief, like I’ve lost my mind.
“So you are just gonna divorce Claire just like that?” Keira asks narrowing her eyes down at me.
“Yeah. I have to go home now. But remember until everything is over, don’t tell Claire about this” I said.
I pick up my jacket and heads out of the house with them looking at me in confusion.
