“No this isn’t possible.” I mumbled lost in thoughts. Why would Issac have the same birth mark with my first son??
This must be a coincidence. I rushed to my room and grabbed my bag, i needed to find an answer to all the questions that was bothering me.
I need to see Caroline. I need to know what actually happened to my son.
I headed to the door and was about stepping out, when Enoch stopped me by calling me name. I looked back and I saw him staring at me.
“Mom are you okay?” He asked when he saw how troubled I was.
“I am fine son. I just need to go sort some things out.” I said trying to fake a smile.
“You have never looked this disturbed.” He said approaching me.
“Because what I have to do now is weigh important, and my second son is holding back by questions I won’t be able to answer now.” I rapped and he furrowed his brows.
“I will be back soon.” I said opening the door and running to the car. I hopped in and ignited the engine, driving out of the compound.
I drove recklessly down to Caroline’s house, I need to know the truth as soon as possible. It would be… I don’t even know.. to Know the truth.
I got to her house and I packed my car and jumped out heading to the gate. I pressed the door bell severally moving my whole body nervously as I did.
The door finally opened after two minutes, and Tron opened up the door.
“What are you doing here?” He asked staring at me.
“I need to see Caroline.” I said trying to be calm.
“What if she doesn’t want to see you?? What would you do then??” He asked making me frustrated.
“Then I would broke your head before breaking hers.” I said and he looked at me in shock.
“I haven’t seen you this, I don’t know before.” He said in surprise.
“Yes, and I am fully prepared to do anything to talk to your mother even if it means smashing your head on this gate.” I said.
He was about to talk again, when I heard someone else approach us. It was Caroline, and immediately she saw me, she furrowed her brows.
“What is going on here?” She asked looking at Tron.
“Where did you dump my son?” I asked and she looked at Tron smiling.
“Why don’t you go inside now.” She said and Tron looked at me in confusion before walking away.
“What are you talking about?” She whispered.
“If you did lie to your son, I don’t care. We both know you took my son not long after I set my eyes on him. Where did you dump him?” I asked.
“Here of course. Where did you expect me to do so? I dropped him right here in Las Vegas, in butterhills.” She said.
“You had my son here all this while and you couldn’t tell me?” I asked in a shaky voice.
“I didn’t have him. I dumped him on the streets to suffer and then die. And you been you concluded I would just kill him, so you went out of town and had Enoch. You never even looked for him! Wherever he is now, he would never forgive you.” She said.
“Don’t you dare!” I said and a slap landed on her face.
“Don’t you ever say I didn’t look for him,I did. Someone must have taken him away from Butterhills the time I was searching for him. And I never knew a devil like you would put him close to me after all you concluded about what i did.
“Well that’s it. You got your answer, now get out!” She yelled and I nodded.
“I would leave. But this isn’t over yet.” I said hopping into the car. I ignited the engine and zoomed off again, heading to Isaac’s house.
I need to know if he does Remember anything about his childhood. Butterhills was the last place I searched for him after I didn’t find his traces anywhere.
He should have been wise enough to move around.
Or maybe this is just a coincidence, I mean how would a day old child survive on the streets??
I was still driving recklessly when a woman crossed the road. I almost ran over her, but I stopped before I could.
“Watch it!” I yelled and when she rose up her head, she looked damn familiar.
“Wait. You are one of the nurses that helped me put to bed.” I said jumping out of the car.
“Who are you?” She asked staring at me, breathing hard.
“I am Danielle. You helped me deliver a baby 20 years ago.” I said and she laughed.
“And you expect me to recognize you?? Hear yourself, it’s been 20 years. Whatever you need, I can’t help you.” She said and was about walking away but I held her back.
“Immediately I gave birth, something happened,some people barged in and took the child. There was a woman among them.” I said and she looked back looking like she actually did Remember something.
“You are the mother??” She asked and I nodded in tears.
“Oh my God. I have been searching for you. That woman paid me to dump the boy on the street and never mention it to anyone. I didn’t say a word though I felt guilty,that’s why I never went back there.” She said.
“What?? You sold a child out because of money?” I asked angrily.
“I need it, you would do the same too if your only daughter was laying on the hospital bed waiting for her mother to pay for her operation. But I later got punished. My daughter died and I have no one left. I regretted everything and wanted to tell you all but you were gone.” She said in tears.
“I knew my life was in danger, i needed to leave. I never thought she would spare his life. Where did you dump him?” I asked.
“In butterhills, the fifth Street to this place, close to a public bin.” She said and I broke into more tears.
“I am sorry.” She said but I ignored her igniting the engine and driving off. I couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down.
I didn’t know what to think. All I wanted to do was talk to Issac.
But I need to do one more thing. A DNA Test.
