The party was held in Mr.Leonard’s mansion with highly extinguished people present, Mr. Leonard was welcoming the guests in with Gabriel beside him. Victoria was in the kid’s room having a chat with them.
“But Mom, why can’t we attend the party as well?” Adrian asked.
“You can’t dear, the party is strictly for Adults”. She said.
” But it’s Christmas Eve celebration and also to lunch the newest wine”. Andrew said.
“Yes, but you two are too young for the party, you should sleep, and you know tomorrow is Christmas”.
” I know, but is going to be boring here”. Adrian said
“Don’t worry, I will read you a bedtime story”.
” Ok, this will help”.Andrew said and they lay down under the blanket.
“Ok, a long time ago…..”. She continued.
Back at the party, the whole place was already filled up with guests, Gabriel left with Madison to the roof to have a quiet moment. Not too long after, Alex arrived and Mr.Leonard welcomed him with a warm hug.
” I thought you wouldn’t make it”.He said and they pulled away from each other.
“Of course not, you are one of our highest investors, and you have been a very good friend to my Dad before he died, my mom told me about it and I can never miss your party”. Alex said.
” Is so good to see you though, It has been ages and you are still looking young, so tell me, what’s the secret?”. He asked jokingly and they laughed.”Am happy to see you”.
“Me too, Merry Christmas”.
” Merry Christmas, please, enjoy the party”. He said and Alex went inside.
“Sure”. He came in contact with some other investor and they started chatting, single ladies present in the room were drooling over him.
Soon enough, the party begins, Mr. Leonard comes to the stage and brings everyone’s attention to the stage, each of them was holding a glass of wine.
” Alright ladies and gentlemen, I am so pleased to welcome you all here, thanks for honoring our invitation, but before my daughter comes on stage, I would like to wish every one of you a Merry Christmas”.
CROWD:Merry Christmas!”.They responded.
“Thank you, well let me welcome my beautiful daughter on stage to tell you more about the new wine launch, please welcome, Victoria Leonard!”. He said and the crowd cheered as the light appeared on Victoria climbing down the staircase, Everyone was amazed by her enchantment.
Alex froze at her sight as the glass of wine he was holding slipped off his hand and broke into pieces, it caught everyone’s attention including Victoria as her eyes met his, and there was a sudden hit in his chest, he lost his balance and fell losing consciousness everyone panicked.
” Alex!”.Mr.Leonard panicked and rushed to him, Some of the guards came and carried him out.
“Dad, what’s wrong with him?”. Victoria asked curiously.
” I don’t know, but not to worry, I will go after them, you stay here and entertain the guest”. He said and walked away, she stared after him.
“Why does it feel like I have seen him before”. She said to herself.
” Are you ok?”.Lonnie asked.
“Yes”.
” Let’s go Victoria, the guests are waiting, “Lisa said and Victoria left for the stage.
” What was that for? Do you think he will be ok?”.Madison asked talking to Gabriel beside her.
“I just hope so”. he replied and they sighed.
Victoria turned to the crowd and started to launch the new wine to them.
••CENTRAL HOSPITAL••
Mr. Leonard was beside Alex on the bed as he was waiting for him to wake up, It had been going for an hour since they rushed him in. Soon he began to regain himself and open his eyes.
“Alex, are you ok?”. Mr. Leonard asked curiously.
” Mr. Leonard”.He called and sat upright looking confused.”Where is this place?”.
“You are in the hospital, you blank out at the party, but are you ok?”.
” Gosh”. He groaned and then suddenly recalled what happened.”Aurora!”.He snapped and Mr. Leonard stared confusedly at him.
“Should I get the doctor for you?”.
” No, I saw her”.
“Saw who?”.
” I saw her”. He turns to Mr. Leonard.”Am I dreaming right now?”.
“No, Alex, this isn’t a dream, but are you ok? Should I call the doctor?”.
” No, no don’t, I want to see Aurora”.
“Who is Aurora?”.
” My wife, I saw her at the party, I knew she was alive, please take me to her”.
“Calm down Alex and make me understand”. he said and Alex became relaxed a little.
” I lost my wife four years ago, an accident occurred in the cab she was in, and the cab caught fire, everyone believed it was her dead body because the bodies were burnt beyond recognition, but I knew that wasn’t her”. He sighed and faced Mr.Leoanard. “You have to believe me when I said I saw her”. He searched around for his phone and Mr. Leonard gave him the phone. ” Let me show you her photo”. He said and searched Aurora’s photo out of his phone gallery and showed it to him, he was surprised.
“This is Victoria, my daughter”. He said surprisedly.
” That’s Aurora, my wife, she is not dead, please believe, I felt the feeling when I saw her”.
“Well, I guess you might be right”. he said.
” You do?”.
“Victoria is literally not my biological daughter“. He said and Alex was surprised. ” I found her four years ago……”. he said.
••Four years back••
Mr. Leonard and his grandson Gabriel were seen on their yacht driving around the water, it was Gabriel’s twelve years birthday and his grandfather decided to ride him on his private yacht. He hasn’t celebrated his birthday for a long while because of his parent’s tragic death when he was just two years old.
“Wow, the water is so blue and beautiful”. Gabriel said.
” You like it, son?”.
“Yes grandfather, this is the best birthday ever”. He said happily and the yacht continued to drive down the water, just then he caught sight of something flowing in the water.” What’s that? Grandpa look!”. He said pointing in that direction and the boat drove fast in that direction.
“What’s that?”. he asked confusedly as they got closer to see it was a lady who was unconscious and floating on top of the water.
The rescuer dived into the water and pulled her to the yacht.
“Is she dead Grandpa?”.
” I don’t know, please check if she is still breathing”. he said talking to the rescuer. They checked her pulse and nodded she was alive.”Take her back to the city, we should rush her to the hospital”. He orders and the boat takes a U-turn.
“Please let her be alive”. Gabriel said.
••back to present••
” We took her to the hospital and she was in a coma for two months, when she finally regained consciousness, she couldn’t remember anything, not even her name, that’s when the doctor confirmed she had lost her memory, and not only that, she was pregnant at that time, the doctor said it was a miracle that she didn’t lose the pregnancy due to how long she must have stayed in that water”. He explained and Alex was shocked and tears crawled out of his eyes.
“Four years I have yawned for her and hoped for her to come back to me”. He sniffs.
” You don’t need to cry anymore, you finally found her”.Mr.Leonard said and sighed.”She has been a loving daughter to me and Gabriel loves her like his own mother, I actually gave her the name Victoria, because she reminds me of my late daughter”.
“Thank you so much for saving my Aurora”.
” I am glad I do, right now I don’t think she will remember you, but you have to try your possible best to make her get her memory back now that you are here”.
“I will, thank you so much, please take me to her, I want to see her, I have missed her a lot”.
” You will Alex, you can come to the house tomorrow, we will be having a family Christmas dinner, and you can meet everyone including Andrew and Adrian, I know they are your sons because the resemblance can tell”.
“I have a son?”. He asked confusedly.
” Actually, they are twin, they are Victoria…I mean Aurora’s kids”. He said smiling and Alex was overwhelmed with joy in his heart.
