AURORA POV

I was happy to see my family again and my memory finally came back to me, seeing everyone happy mood and the joy they felt, I didn’t want it to end. We were having our lunch as one big happy family, although Richard’s family and Alex’s family went back to their homes.

“Aurora, now that your memory is back, can you tell us what really happened?”. Richard asked.

” Yeah, it was Elizabeth doing”.I said and everyone was confused.

“Elizabeth?”. Alex asked.

” Yes, it was her all along, she exposed Nora during the masquerade party, she was the one that killed Charles and framed Nora with it and also made Nora lose her senses”.

“How is that possible? Why will she do that?”. Richard asked.

” Because she was obsessed with having Alex to herself, she plotted the accident of the cab I took in front of the hospital, the driver was her accomplice, they planned everything to get rid of me by throwing me off the cliff”. I said and everyone was shocked.

“I knew it, I told you there was something off with her”. Nina said and then Alex stood up quickly.

” She is going to pay for what she did”. He said.

“Let’s report the case to the police and get hold of her before she escapes”. Richard said.

NARRATOR POV

Some minutes later, Alex and Richard arrived with the police to Elizabeth’s house, but unfortunately, she was not at home, Alex tried connecting to her number, but was no longer available.

👮‍♂️” I guess she knew we were coming for her that’s why she escaped, but will find her and send her photos all over the TV station”.

“You better hurry with it, as long as she is on the loose, my family’s lives are still at stake”. Alex said.

👮‍♂️” We will do our best, just don’t let your family leave your sight for the main time”.

“Sure officer”. He said and they left.

The news spread all over the city declaring Elizabeth wanted for murder, her photos were all over the place.

” How can she be so cruel?”Ella said.

“I never knew we were leaving with a monster all these while”. Juliana said.

” This was my fault, I brought her here”.Mrs. Judith said.

“No dear, you don’t have to blame yourself, you are not at fault” .Mr. Wilson said.

“Yes Mom, Dad is right, Elizabeth takes the evil part,” Angel said.

“I hope she is found soon”. Juliana said.

Mrs.Stella and her father were shocked by the news.

” How can she do that to poor Nora, not only that, she tried to kill Aurora”.Mrs.Stella.

“Generation of nowadays will do everything all in the name of obsession”. He said.

” I hope she is found soon, my children’s lives are still at stake”.

Days passed and the police were still on the lookout for Elizabeth, Alex hired enough bodyguards to always be with his wife and children, and they never left their sight. Aurora and the kids came to their grandmother’s house, the kids went to the garden to play with the guards looking out for them. Aurora was seated with her grandmother in the living room while she was on the phone with her father.

📞”Yes Dad, everyone is fine”.She said and there was a pause. “Yes, we miss you too, we will be back before you know it”. She smiled.” Love You too Dad, I will kiss the kids for you, bye”. she hung up.

“I would love to meet with him one day and thank him for saving my daughter”. She said.

” Sure granny”. They laughed and suddenly Gabriel and Andrew rushed in looking scared.”What is it?”.

“Mom, we can’t find Adrian”. Gabriel said and Aurora stood up quickly along with her grandmother.

” What do you mean you can’t find Adrian, weren’t you all together in the garden?”. She panicked.

“Yes Mom, we were playing ball and the ball rolled outside the gate, Adrian insisted on getting the ball and now we can’t find him”. Andrew said.

” Where are the guards with you?”. Grandma asked.

“They are out searching for him”. Gabriel said and Aurora panicked.

“Oh no!”. She brought out her phone and dialed Alex’s number.

Everyone was in chaos in finding Adrian, the police were quickly involved and they all believed Elizabeth had something to do with the missing of Adrian. Aurora was sobbing while Nina was by her side trying to console her.

” Stop crying, your son will be fine”. She said.

“I can’t, what if Elizabeth hurt him, he is just a kid”. She said

” Mom, nothing will happen to my brother, I am sure of it”. Andrew said.

Alex was devastated with Richard by his side, then his cell phone rang and he reluctantly picked it up seeing it was an unknown number.

📞”Hello, who is this?”. he asked and Elizabeth’s voice came from the other end.

📞”Hello, handsome”. she said and Alex stood up quickly.

📞”Elizabeth, where is my son?”He asked angrily and everyone rushed to him.

📞”Relax, he is right here with me”.

📞”What do you want?”. He asked and Aurora took the phone from him.

📞” Please Elizabeth, don’t harm my son, I beg of you”. She sobs.

📞”Oh, our darling Aurora, is so good to have you back”. She laughed evilly. “You are the cause of everything if you have just died and let me have Alex to myself”.

📞” Please don’t harm my son”.
Alex took the phone from her.

📞”What do you want? Name it and it will be yours”.

📞”You know me too well, Alex, the only thing I need in this world, is you, come to me and we will live happily ever after”.

📞”Fine! I will come to you, just tell me where you are”.

📞”You think I am stupid, I should tell you where I am and then you will get the police down here”. She laughed.

📞”I promise I won’t, I–“. The call got discounted. “Did you get the location, Richard?”.

” Yes, I did!”. He said.

This while he was talking to
Elizabeth, Richard was tracking down the location through the laptop.

“We should go now”.Alex said.

” I am coming with you”. Aurora said.

“No, I can’t risk your life”.

” My life is already at risk, this is my son we are talking about”.

“She is right, let her come with us, Nina can stay and look after the kids”. Richard said.

” Yes, I will look after the kids”.

“Ok, fine”.

” Dad, please bring my brother to me”.Andrew said sadly.

“Sure, I will bring him back safely, nothing will happen to him”.He said and they walked away

They track the location to an abandoned building, along the way they have already sent the location to the police.

” This is the place”. Richard said and they got interrupted by Elizabeth as she came out of the building with Adrian.

“You guys are here”. She laughed.

” Mom! Dad!”.Adrian cried out looking scared.

“Elizabeth, let him go”. Alex said.

” Why should I listen to you, Alex? Am I not good enough for you, what did you see in her, you don’t see in me “.

” Elizabeth, I beg of you, let my son go! he is innocent of all these”. Aurora said.

“Oh shut up! You are the cause of all these, if you were still dead by now, everything would have been fine”. She said angrily.

” Why are you so cruel, this lifestyle doesn’t suit you, you deserve better “.Richard said.

” You are right if only Aurora was not in my way, it would have been more better”.

“You are only obsessed with love, you have to give up and surrender yourself”. Alex said.

” Never! it’s not over until I say so!” She brought out a gun from her pocket and pointed it at Adrian’s head holding him tight.

“Elizabeth please! Don’t hurt my son”. Aurora sobs.

” Elizabeth please put that gun down, please!”.Alex said.

“No, you all will feel the pain that I felt when you rejected my love for you, you made me like this, I loved you like no one else!”. She said angrily.

” Please Elizabeth don’t do this”.Richard said.

“Well, too late!”. She set the gun and was ready to pull the trigger when suddenly she felt a hard hit on her head, she groaned and fell down. Adrian ran to his parents.

” Oh, my son!”. Aurora caresses him in her arms. They turn to see who was the person that saved their son.

Nora moved to where Elizabeth was crawling on the floor and she continued to hit her with the stick.

“You b!st!rd! I hope you die and rot in hell!”. Nora said angrily as she continued to hit her with the stick. Elizabeth became weak and was bleeding. She stop and pick up the gun to shot her.

” Nora don’t!”.Alex said stopping her.

“She is a monster and she deserves to die!”. She yelled.

” Yes, we all know, but let the police handle the case, please drop the gun, the police are on their way here, please!”.He said.

“She ruin my life”. She sobs.”She took Charles away from me!”.

” put the gun down Nora, killing her will not bring Charles back “. Richard said.

” Please, Nora!”. Aurora said and Nora dropped the gun, just then the police drove in and rushed to pick Elizabeth up, she was handcuffed and they took her away. Nora kept sobbing when she felt someone hugged her. “Thank you Nora, you saved my child”. Aurora said and pulled away from her.

“I don’t deserve your thanks Aurora”. She sniffed. ” Am sorry for everything”.

“Is ok, I hold no grudges against you, you actually try to warn me against her, but I am happy it’s finally over”. Aurora said.

” Let get out of here”. Richard said as they all left the building.
