His minty tongue journeyed from her mouth to her throat, blocking her air and confiscating her thoughts.

Seraphina’s head screamed, skull bolting around the fact that she has those fine lips on hers right now.

Not just any mouth, but the man she has never thought of possibly kissing all her life. He’s kissing her.

He’s swallowing her lips, chewing on the upper and lower, mopping her mouth with his tongue and demanding reciprocation which she doesn’t even know how to start giving. The only thing she could hear was how her chest was slamming wildly, and the strong cacophony of the car honks outside.

Her eyes are open.

Not wide, but carrying the shock of a lady who got kissed properly after a long starvation period.

After so many years.

Demandingly, his tongue thrusted her throat again, and her thoughts reassemble a bit.

He wants her to kiss him back.

He wants??

She moved her lips, too. Slow. Gentle and soft, moulding it against his.

His grip on her ass became possessively dangerous, aiming to shove her body under his own skin. He shoved her closer to his crotch where she sat on his bulge.

A gasp punctured the kiss from her throat, but that only made him go madder on her mouth, demons unleashing and hungry.

Seraphina nearly closed her eyes, but then she noticed his eyes aren’t closed too. They’re drowsily open.

She pulled away from the kiss, breaths hot and heavy as they ran out of her nostrils to brush his face.

“Kiss me.” He whispered in a darkly drunken voice, almost a desperate plea. “Kiss me, Sera.”

Seraphina’s chest hammered again.

Does he own that pleading voice?

Was that Tobias who talked just now?

She felt her body shaking. Not with fear, but with the realization that this man in front of her genuinely wants her lips now. He wants it.

Her highschool dated her because Kimmy told him to do it.

Dean married her cos someone anonymous told him to.

But this man. He wants her kiss of his own freewill. In his own senses.

“Tobias…” His name pulled out of her mouth like a satanic worship.

“Kiss me, hard.” He breathed.

“You’ve never kissed before?” She talked, voice seductive in the trap of the car they’re in. She sounded charmed and ruined.

Tobias kept his silence up, his eyes glued to her lips which have gone from pink to red from the intensity of his one-sided kiss.

“It shows,” Seraphina smiled slightly. “That you’ve never kissed, and that’s why you opened your eyes.”

She raised her two palms.

“You should kiss with your eyes closed,…like this…” She placed her palms over his eyes, shutting them.

Her palms were still there when she leaned in for his lips to give him his kiss, but immediately her lips touched his, police sirens mixed with the car honks sounding outside.

Their car was banged by several hands, and Seraphina had to halt to look up, getting a head reboot that they’re still in the middle of a road.

The bangs landed on their car body again. When she looked out of the window to see the crowd surrounding the car, she gasped.

How long have they been here??

Thankfully, the windows are tinted. The outsiders can’t see the inside.

“C’mon,” Tobias transferred Seraphina back to her seat.

She was still adjusting her messy hair and leather skirt when Tobias left the car to handle the road.

Seraphina didn’t realize how loud her breathings are till he was out of the car. She had to press her chest down with her palm and blow hot air out of her mouth, slowly.

“Seraphina…” She called herself, biting her lip. “Calm down, ok? It’s just a goddamn kiss.”

She nodded, stopped moving, then covered her lips with her palm.

“A goddamn sweet kiss. Damn, his lips are soft.” She chuckled, throwing her head back to the headrest.

She totally forgot how he nearly killed them earlier with his speed. The kiss stole her reasoning.

She checked her face out in the mirror. She’s blushing?

The warm red hue is light, but it still shows on her cheeks.

“F+ck, this is embarrassing.” she palmed her cheeks, grinning softly.

Outside, the cops stepped back at the sight to Tobias’s face.

The civilians whose cars were trapped in the holdup are all out of their cars, expecting an apology from the car owner, or a police arrest, but seeing who it is, they were surprised.

“The Cultist turned Priest in NYC?”

“Now it’s Priest turned Cultist again. Heard he left the Church.”

“They should get that Church sanctified. Demon on the pulpit? Funny as hell.”

“Watch your words, niggas. There’s no evidence against him. You can’t call him a criminal to his face.”

“What would he be called? A amiable patriot? He’s the boss of a notorious Crime Cult! They kill!”

Tobias only focused on the cops.

“You want what? Money? Sue me? Take your pick, I don’t have much time.” He said crankily.

“Aren’t you Tobias St. Graves? NYC criminal?” A cop said.

“Wrong!” Tobias’s attorney appeared from nowhere. “You know labelling without evidence is a criminal act, and you can be sued.”

“The only person getting sued here is him who blocked the road for five minutes with his car!” The cop argued bluntly.

“Then name whatever cheque you want for the damn government!” Tobias snarled, already pissed.

They’re taking his time, and it’s enraging as hell. He has an unfinished business in the car—an unfinished kiss.

“Wrath,” his attorney tried to calm him. “I saw what you did to Mrs. Beaufort at the hideout, and judging by the fact that you already went to the station to ask if Ruth Beaufort ordered Seraphina’s arrest, you’d be a prime suspect in Mrs. Beaufort’s death case. You can’t add this too, just stay calm, and I’ll handle it.”

“You know the shittiest thing about you?” Tobias scoffed. “It’s the fact that you think I’m scared of anything.”

“I know you ain’t scared of shit, Wrath. But I’m your attorney, and you pay me monthly to get your route cleared which I’ll do diligently. Now, let me handle this.” The attorney explained as cautiously as ever.

“Ok…” Tobias stepped away. “Talk to the fuckers.”

And the attorney did. He only talked to the cops for few seconds, and Tobias’s car was allowed to move.

He got back in his car while smirking at the cops. He drove away from the road, and his presence back in the car made Seraphina weak again.

She took a bottle of water from the car and drank a little from it, trying to keep herself hydrated and sane.

Also, she tried not to make eye contact with him in the mirror.

But she was smiling inwardly, resting her head against the window and peeking at the streets seldomly.

Feels like they only just met cos the tension brewing in the car is enough to cook them both down.

It feels like the car is driving in space, and they’re floating.

Tobias turned his neck and looked at her shortly. She’s pressed tight into her seat like a pocket toy.

He looked away with a pretty-boy smile, focusing back on his drive till he saw a free unoccupied part of the roadside where he parked.

Seraphina looked up slowly, wondering why he stopped.

“You’re going to stop playing with Dean.” His decisive voice made her look up faster than wind.

“What! Why? He already agreed to let me start following him to work, and that’s a start.”

“I gave the assignment, and now I’m calling it off. How is it not clear?” He gave her a stern stare.

“Why are you calling it off though?” She asked. “You have another way to go about the company?”

“I always have ways, Sera.” He looked around, stroking the wheel slowly with his thumb.

Sera.

Seraphina smiled again at the sound of it. Everyone always choose the second part of her name when they shorten it, he’s the only one who choose the first part.

And it sounds posh.

Hope she’s not delusional, but it really does sound posh on his tongue when he calls it.

“So…” She leaned in. “Why were you over-speeding and asking if I kissed Dean?” She blinked.

“You don’t have to know,” he stroked the wheel faster.

“We’re on a deal, Toby, and—”

“It’s Tobias.” He corrected.

“Ok….” She smiled again. “We’re on a deal, Tobias, and I deserve answers as much as you demand them. I even asked if you hated your parents, but you refused to tell me anything.”

“I don’t hate those fuckers, they don’t deserve my hate.” He stated bitterly. “If they had looked at me, I’d have been a Mama’s boy who awaited validation before moving. If they looked at me, I’ll be a worker at the Graves Memorial Estates now. I’m inside thankful.” He elaborated.

Seraphina looked at him shortly with understanding eyes, then nodded.

“Copied! So, why did you want to crash the car? Who even told you I kissed Dean!?” She shot.

His right palm cupped her chin immediately, holding it firmly and tipping her face up with it.

“The Bigger Dog here is me. How many times do you want to hear that?” He stroked her chin.

“This Puppy Dog here reserves some little consideration too!” She blinked twice, squinting and pouting cutely.

Tobias smiled deep, letting go of her pointed chin.

“And you’re going to file a divorce for Dean.” He added.

“Wait … Divorce?” She raised her lids in utter shock.

—

[8PM]

Dean’s car is still trailing behind the police cars, following up on the search for Seraphina.

They’ve gone to Beaufort Mansion, but no one was present, but they had some cops stationed there.

Dean had never been as restless as this all his life. Sitting at the back of the car with his guards driving him, he looks like he’d buy magic no matter the cost, if it’ll make him get a whiff of Seraphina’s location.

Cos at this point, the search is becoming pointless.

He needs his wife back.

If only he had known it’d be like this, he wouldn’t have agreed to marry her for the sake of another person. He’d have married her for his own sake.

This is the first time he’s genuinely worried about someone like this. This is the first time he’d be concerned about something apart from money.

He snatched Kelly from Tobias in uni,not because his heart worked for her, but because he wanted to see Tobias break over Kelly’s abandonment. Kelly has never occurred to him as a life partner.

This is the first time his mind felt null cos of someone’s disappearance.

Now, he doesn’t even care what the person who told him to marry Seraphina would say.

She’s his. She’s his wife.

The bleeping of his phone broke him out of his thoughts.

He brought the mobile out from under his suit.

Talk of the devil.

It’s his client.

• You’re breaching the plan. You’re not following our agreement! The plan was to get married to Seraphina and keep her in your house as your decorative wife without touching her till my son arrives for her, but I got the air of your dinner date with her, and you both are rebounding? Are you out of your mind, Dean?

Dean typed a instant reply.

Dean: Maybe I am.

He nearly dropped the phone, but the buzzing of another text stopped him.

This one is from one of his guards who’s in the front cars with the cops. He sent pictures of Tobias from the blocked road thirty minutes ago.

The pictures captured how Tobias came out of his car to face the cops, and as he opened the car door, one of the pictures captured who’s in the car with him.

The face isn’t clear, but the wrist is clearer than day. On that wrist, there’s a crocheted bracelet.

He saw that bracelet around Seraphina’s wrist before he left the house this morning.

The was surely her in the car with Tobias. Tobias got her?

His grip on his phone nearly shattered the screen.

“Stop the search!” He yelled.

“Stop the search!!!” The two guards in front screamed at the cops.

—

[8-30PM – Beaufort Mansion]

The stationed cops are still on standby, waiting for when any member of the family would show.

The house is silent except for the maids and drivers, and Ruth, who’s peeping from beside the gate.

Her shot leg is tied with a clothe, and that cloth is bleeding with her blood. She’s crying too. Real hot tears cascaded down her cheeks.

She escaped the rendezvous and managed to drag herself here, only to see cops waiting.

She can’t enter now.

At least not yet. She needs a solid story and testimony to buy the pity of the people and rile up the anger of her godfather—the President.

Also, she needs to call her dad and her brother.

She dragged herself far away from the mansion, limping on just one leg since she can’t even touch the ground with the second leg.

Once she felt she was far enough, she dialled her father, but Mr. Beaufort didn’t pick her calls.

Three times.

“He’s never available!!” She yelled. “Never fuckin available!!” She cried louder. “I wish I had the same father as my brother, I wouldn’t be here stuck with an absent idiot!”

She lowered her phone, sobbing higher. Tears and snot rolled into her mouth, and she tasted her own grief.

“The hidden office is unknown to anyone. Mama’s body would be smelling already before anyone in the street can detect anything!!” She cried out again as she dialled her brother who picked instantly.

“Heyy, baby sister!” His boozing voice made her tears louden.

“Did I hear you crying?” He went serious. “What the hell is wrong?”

“Mum is dead. Mum is…is dead…” Ruth cried hard again. “Tobias killed mum! He killed her because of Seraphina. He….wasted her.”

“Tobias St. Graves?”

“Of course!!” Ruth shouted. “And my right leg is badly shot. Dad isn’t picking calls, and cops are here. I need to visit the Whitehouse, but first, I need you here, Vince. I need you here.” She sniffled.

“Go to the hospital first, get your leg tended to. I’ll send you a private hospital address.” Vince responded.

Ruth nodded like he’s here.

[NYC- Valhalla Club – Delilah’s Dressing Room]

Bexley made sure the other Delilahs dressed up and left the room before she started dressing up.

She wore full body socks to cover her skin in a thin layer before starting to wear her makeup and curly wig.

She was on the eyebrows carving when the other Delilahs came in with sudden laughter of mockery which made Bexley drop her carving blade before turning to face them.

They’re five. She’s the sixth. And they’re all naked, ready for the Fun Hour naked pool dance.

“And why are y’all laughing like gifted orphans?” Bexley stood to them. “What’s funny?”

“You’re funny, Bexley,” the second most popular dancer said. “You think your body socks is nothing to laugh about? Oh don’t be silly. It is compulsory to dance naked here!”

“I lead here, I rule. I dance however the hell I want!” Bexley glared.

“Heard the last daughter of Billionaire Redd family did your skin dirty. How unfortunate. It feels good to see you fall off the ladder.”

“Fall off the ladder?” Bexley closed in.

“Yeah, you fell off…” Another Delilah laughed. “You always acted like the owner of all of us. Now, with your skin gone, your finances is gone too. Go continue milking your sis!”

Bexley’s leg flew up to the face of that one, kicking her unconscious to the floor, flat and fast.

The rest of them shifted back.

“Yeah, that’s how it should be. Shift back from me and stay off!” Bexley pointed at them one by one. “I’m not any of y’all mate!”

“Bexley?” Frontman came in, shocked at what he met—a unconscious Delilah on the floor.

“Bexley what the hell!”

“You haven’t even asked, but you know for sure I did it?” Bexley sneered.

“Of course I did, cos I know you!” Frontman scolded. “You know this isn’t allowed on this grounds! Delilahs can’t clash! Don’t add to your punishment!” Frontman said.

“What punishment?” Bexley frowned.

“Here,” Frontman gave her a notice written on paper—from Leader Xero.

“Wait…” Bexley took it with a gasp. “I’m suspended? You can’t be serious.”

“You’re suspended till your skin heals completely. The Billionaires don’t wanna see bruised skin during the dance and start vomiting.” Frontman explained bluntly.

The other Delilahs left the room with laughter of joy, taking the unconscious one with them.

Bexley’s mouth came apart.

“The Redd family daughter did this to me! Leader knew about it but did nothing! Now, I have to suffer suspension? I don’t know when these bruises will heal completely! You’re saying if it takes a year, I’ll stay on suspension for a year? How am I supposed to stay financially stable!” Bexley shouted hurtfully.

“I’m sorry, Bexley.” Frontman shook his head slightly. “I can’t help.”

He left the room, and Bexley pushed the mirror away from the wall, smashing it on the floor.

She proceeded to hitting her head on the wall, too furious.

She screamed out too, fighting back tears. “Dora…If I wasn’t serious with my revenge before, then watch me carry it on my head now.”

She sat back on the chair, lips shaking as the fury washed her.

“Saint has two insanely rich brothers, of course he’s loaded too. I only have to play this game well, and I won’t even feel my suspension.”

She stood again, restless, but with a curved lip.

“I’ll make sure Saint never does as much as looking at you.”

She kicked the air frantically.

—

In the outer hall, the Fun Hour is just ending, and the Delilahs left the hall drippy and happy with their money purses bulging and heavy.

Normally, they’d sit and spread their p+sies wide to create views for the Billionaires, but there’s a heavy discussion tonight, so they had to leave the Billionaires with Xero.

The Billionaires have been curious about the heaviness of the issue, especially Genevieve and Marley.

Xero removed his smooth mask, showing face. Whenever the Delilahs aren’t present, he talks unmasked.

“Should I thank you first for the dead bodies on the land?” Marley talked with a loud chuckle. “The news is everywhere, and that only bought more attention to Wrath’s area.”

“But the FBI weren’t able to get his transportation truck, and his safehouse is still unknown. They don’t even have evidence that he’s the one in charge of the transportation.” Xero read out curtly.

“Is that why we’re here?” Genevieve asked, impatient.

“Dean,” Xero grunted. “Dean will be initiated into the club tommorow.”

“What!” So many Billionaires stood.

“I don’t understand.”

“What do you mean tommorow? It’s barely been a week since his invitation.”

“You’re telling me he already committed all sins?”

“It’s not a subject for debate. That was an order.” Xero sighed.

“Well, take it back!” Marley shot, offing his glasses. “We all strived, struggled to get sins done, but he’s gonna do half and get in without doing the other half?”

“It’s impossible, Leader…” Genevieve pointed out too. “He merely killed his secretary, but I and Marley had to kill our flesh and blood immediately they came out of me!!!”

“Silence!” Xero stood too.

“Do not silence us, Xero!” A Billionaire from the back barked.

Dyed hair walked in, carrying a tray of weapons. Xero picked a long gun from it and aimed at the Billionaires, switching from head to head.

Forced silence settled in immediately, and Xero’s breaths rose.

Genevieve and Marley sat back.

“Your secrets are safe here, and at the same time, they’re available for pouring out anytime y’all try to go against me!” Xero shouted at their faces. “Dean is getting initiated, and it’s an order, not a debate!”

He left the room without dropping his gun, and Dyed hair ran after him.

“The real Leader wants Seraphina untouched? But you touched her! When we kidnapped her and said you still want her.”

“It’s going to remain secret forever, a secret that mustn’t spill.” Xero responded, gritting. “Prepare for Dean’s incoming.”

Dyed hair nodded.

—

[Next Morning – Tobias’s Oddsion]

The flight from Atlanta back to NYC last night was a short one, but Seraphina fell asleep in the jet, knowing she’d be kept safe.

She expected to wake up to her room at Dean’s Estate, but it was a different place and planet entirely.

Black and gold aesthetic.

Art-lined walls, butterflies caged in a glass school sat oddly on top of a wide glass table.

Spider paintings spread on the walls like international trophies.

Obsidian eye carving sprawled high above the bed.

Thick oud, mint and whiskey scent filled her nostrils. Gold color bedsheets and black duvets in bed, and spider-shaped chandeliers on the suspended ceilings.

The room is criminally wide. From the bed to the glass door, it felt like countries apart, and when Seraphina calculated the probabilities, it gave her just one answer.

This can only be Toby’s house.

Correction: Tobias.

She’s in his house?

How deep did she sleep last night that she didn’t even know when she was carried here? Did he carry her?

She raised the duvet from herself and saw she’s wearing a blue oversized pyjamas. She looked around again, admiring the cleanness and the way everything is in precise spots as if this is a OCD patient house.

She won’t be surprised if he actually has OCD cos this cleanliness and orderliness is too much.

She could feel the pureness of the air entering her nostrils.

And she was right that the Church rectory didn’t reflect him. Now, this is what she was talking about.

There are too many things to look at here. She might get blurred vision from turning her head too much.

When she made to come down from the bed, her finger mistakenly pressed a button beside the second pillow. Instantly, the glass door opened, and a automated voice spoke, loud and clear…..

“What do you need me to do for you, Wrath?”

“Oh…” Seraphina looked at the button again, realizing there’s a lot of buttons in close clusters there.

She pressed another one.

A LED keyboard flashed on on that same door, typing…

“YOUR TREATED BATHWATER IS READY, WRATH. COLD, JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT.”

She pressed another button, and a robotic hand stretched out of a wall disc, accompanied with another automated wall voice.

“Do you have a list for me to deliver to the kitchen, Wrath?”

Seraphina laughed, too hyped.

“This is crazily set, damn!”

She began pressing the buttons one by one, and at each press, she receives shocking surprises of technologies in that damn room.

The ninth button she pressed, Grimm came into the room but stayed by the door without entering.

If Tobias needed it inside, he’d press the button twice, but she pressed it once, so the dog stayed there respectfully, just staring.

“Hey, the dog…” Seraphina got down from the bed.

It was when her barefoot touched the sparkling sleek floor she got a sudden reality hit.

That…

She’s really in Tobias’s bedroom.

She slept in his house.

Wait…in his bed.

She took her button lip in her mouth and smiled wide as she walked to the dog, squatting in front of it.

She stroked it’s head.

“Why aren’t you entering?” She murmured, and the dog looked at her simply. It wagged it’s tail, and that was when she saw a small phone strapped with it’s neck chains.

She took out the phone and stood, realizing it’s real. It’s a real mobile phone with no password.

The first thing that came to her mind was Allison. She knows her line offhand, and she dialled.

It rang long before Allison picked up.

“Yes? Who’s this?”

“Lis!” Seraphina giggled.

“Phina?” Allison gasped.

“Yeah it’s me…” Seraphina returned her hand to the dog head.

“Where the hell did they take you? I was worried till I received an anonymous text that you’re ok!”

“It’s a damn long story, which I’ll tell you in details when I get back, but I’m really fine now.” Seraphina assured.

“Where are you?” Allison asked.

“You won’t believe it,” Seraphina smiled like she hit paydirt.

“With Tobias?” Allison guessed.

“At his house.” Seraphina said.

“Seriously? How’s it?” Allison asked, her anxiousness high.

“I’ll show you a little picture…” Seraphina held up and took a picture of a part of the bedroom.

She sent it, then reconnected the call.

“Geezzzzzz!!!!!!!!” Allison’s scream hit the phone speakers.

“Allison!” Seraphina scolded.

“Wait…such thing exists in this country? That’s his bedroom? Holy shit, how rich is that man?” Allison continued talking.

“And he kissed me.” Seraphina broke the news without waiting.

“Huh? Indeed?”

“Yeah… In Atlanta last night. He kissed me mad, and he’s so new to these things that he didn’t even know people close eyes to kiss. He’s so—”

The phone battery died, cutting the call abruptly.

“F+k.” Seraphina muttered.

She returned it to Grimm’s neck and then decided to walk around.

Grimm led her, and she followed like it’s her tour guide.

It took her to the various departments and sessions of the house, and she just followed, keeping her eyes wide throughout.

The eyes got wider anytime they entered a new session.

Maybe he’s a zillionaire?

This must be witchcraft of some sort. How is he this successful?

Yeah, to have a house this darkly paradisiacal is success.

Soon, they began entering outer rooms where she began seeing Odds.

Some are arranging weapons in a room. Some are working on laptops and arranging documents, and on their laptops, she’s sure she saw Wrath Investments Empire.

Maybe they’ve started working on taking the company back without her having to enter Dean to do it?

Some of the odds are arranging money in another room.

And some are arranging the body parts of cars and trucks.

In another room, she saw Migos getting taken care of. His stabbed chest is getting bandaged.

In another room, she saw Estelle too, getting body massage.

Estelle from the Church? Weird.

In the kitchen, some are cooking, and Seraphina immediately wished she knew how to cook well.

Yeah, she learned from Allison, but the skill she learned is enough to cook only her own food.

And most of the times, she adds salt and seasonings too much.

She’s not close to perfect.

But where’s Tobias himself?

“I see you’re awake.” Yalda’s cold voice made her turn quick.

Yalda stood behind her with a box, and Seraphina went closer a bit.

“Yalda?”

“Here,” Yalda handed her the box. “Wrath had to go take care of few urgent business, and this box is for you.” She shrugged.

Seraphina took the box from her, and before she could talk, Yalda picked a call and walked away.

“Yeah, her crochets ads has to occupy every news station, every billboard, every magazine you can reach. What do you mean it’s too much? Wrath ordered it, so get it done!”

Seraphina tried to return to the room, but she lost her way. She began roaming like a restless ghost.

She couldn’t find her way back in the country-like house, till Grimm came to find her again.

“Thank you, Grimm.” She breathed in relief as the dog led her back to the room easily.

She opened the box, and what she saw inside made her eyes shine.

—

[Allison’s Mansion]

“See? I told you.” Acosta said jovially after Allison talked to Seraphina on phone. They’re now walking out of the house together.

Acosta spent the night here, on the couch though, cos he begged and didn’t want to go back home.

“But I didn’t get to receive the full gist from her. I’m so impatient!” Allison said with a little foot stumping.

Acosta laughed, looking at her.

“You’re dramatic.”

“Everyone says so to this ball of sunshine!” Allison shrugged. “And I hope your wife won’t come here later and try to take my head.”

“My phone location has been off since I came here yesterday, that’s why she hasn’t tracked me. You’re safe, Miss Hart.” He assured.

“I’d be glad, Mr. Simpson.” Allison stopped as he opened his car door.

“You’re the only one who still calls me by my family name, feels refreshing.” He said.

“Cos that’s what you are, duh.” Allison shrugged. “And your daughter? Try to be her therapist first before handing her over to any therapist. Spend time with her even if she gets rude. You can start by visiting her in school always.”

Acosta nodded.

“Thank you, Miss Hart.”

“Bye, Mr. Simpson, and I’ll stay in touch about Phina’s building.” She waved as he got in his car.

As he drove off, she began trying the line Seraphina called her with again, but it’s still not reachable.

“Geez, I hate unfinished gist… when is she coming backkk…” She rumbled.

—

[Redd Estate – Penthouse]

Since the couple came back from the club gathering last night, the penthouse have been hot.

No one’s talking to each other, but their minds are cloudy with rage they don’t even have an outlet for.

Marley stood by the wall, and Genevieve sat in front of the keyboard, playing it aggressively.

She poured her anger in the organ, and it got so loud.

But it’s not even reaching Marley cos he’s wearing a headphone and listening to his mellow music.

None of them turned till Kimmy had Dora entered the penthouse.

“Dad, Acosta didn’t come home last night, he’s untraceable and he’s still not picking my calls!” Kimmy complained restlessly.

“Mum, you’re not saying anything about what I told you about Bexley.” Dora calmly said.

“I’m too occupied with my own issues right now!” Genevieve stood, irritated. “Go sort yourself out, Dora!”

“You too, Kimmy.” Marley added. “My head is in shambles.”

“Ok.” Dora left the penthouse.

“You know whenever you don’t do her request, she goes bunkers. Are you really gonna let her go?” Kimmy said with an alarming voice.

“I do not care!!” Genevieve yelled. “Part of the characteristics of being a topper in this family is taking care of your shits yourselves!”

“Fine!” Kimmy hissed and left the penthouse too.

“The thought of Dean’s undeserving initiation that’s happening tonight is making me boil.” Marley muttered.

“I still can’t think straight…” Genevieve pressed the keyboard keys down very loud.

—

[Tino’s Place]

Saint didn’t bother taking his helmet off as he came down from his bike in front of the house.

He held a pack of fresh carrots he stole from Bexley’s kitchen yesterday, intending to share it with Tino.

But the door wouldn’t open when he tried to open it. It’s locked from inside, definitely.

So, he rang the doorbell.

Once, twice, thrice…

Till the tenth.

No movement of opening.

“The hell’s going on?” Saint mumbled, getting his phone.

He dialled Tino.

Inside, Tino stood behind the door, phone vibrating in hand.

He didn’t pick.

He heard the doorbells too, but he intentionally didn’t open.

He’s too mad at Saint right now.

How could he…spend more time with Bexley than him?

[Heart of NYC Land]

The reporters resumed their news fishing jobs today, gathering on the land again and following the cops around for tidbits.

The bodies have been cleared and sent to the hospital for examination on their cause of death.

Tobias’s custom-made car halted smoothly on the property. Jude hopped down to open the car door.

Tobias hopped out.

As usual, he dressed like a kingpin.

His tie even marched the cool blue colour of his car tires.

He wore tie today, cos he wanted to.

But he had barely moved away from the car when Dean’s car drove in too.

Dean didn’t wait for his driver to open the door for him before he jumped out to Tobias.

“Not allowed.” Jude blocked him.

“Let him.” Tobias said.

Jude stepped aside, and Dean came closer, chuckling.

The appearance of the twins made the reporters shift their attention.

They gathered around, interested in the St. Graves brothers exchange.

“I want my wife.” Dean calmly said.

“Stop wanting her.” Tobias sighed.

“Send Seraphina back to me!” Dean shot, voice rising.

“I ordered her to play with you, but I cut it off cos I….got bored with how stupidly you were falling.” Tobias sighed again, brows hunched.

“She’s not yours!” Dean yelled.

“Kelly wasn’t yours, fucker!” Tobias spat, getting mad.

“This is about revenge?” Dean laughed. “You’re sick.”

“I wouldn’t go down on anyone JUST for revenge.” Tobias chuckled.

“So…” Dean closed in.

“J!” Tobias called and a smirk.

Jude handed him a document, and Tobias handed it to Dean.

There in the fresh papers, sat divorce agreement, real and new from the Church marriage council.

Stamped by Tobias himself.

Priest Tobias St. Graves.

“As the officiating Priest, I’m separating what I joined together. Sign the damn papers.” Tobias muttered in capital letters.

Dean’s eyes widened, nearly falling off.

TBC.
