[Redd Family Hospital Mortuary]
At 6AM, Acosta still sat by the door of the first mortuary room, staring inside the room—at Allison’s stretcher. He’s alone in here.
Last night, he had told the doctors and embalmers to excuse him. He had one of them be in charge of Peach, so he gas been here.

He’s still sitting by that door, still crying, thinking of what life would become after this phase.
The only lady who ever called him by his real last name. The one who advised him about his daughter, and it worked on her. The one who advised him against his ploy on the Redd family and told him to use his talent to get rich instead.
Now, he’s in charge of Seraphina’s building project, a project that’ll get madly popular once it’s done.
But she’s gone.
He tried to swallow saliva, but nothing in his throat.
It itched with dryness.
He looked at the stretcher again, nodding once.
“You know what?” He stood. “I shouldn’t have let you leave when you said you wanted to leave. I should have stopped you by all means. I wish I was a seer that moment, and I wish I have enough power to bring those who did this to you to justice…” He cried again.
“Mr. Simpson!” The doctor came back. “We have to start the embalming process now. We let you wait here only because we were awaiting the arrival of her sister, but it’s clear now that the sister is with the cops and won’t be here anytime soon. The process has to start before the body starts… smelling.”
Acosta nodded, not intending to even argue the slightest.
He followed the doctor’s lead, but when he took a step past the room, he stopped, freezing on the spot.
“Mr. Simpson?” The doctor called.
Acosta took one careful step back, and his eyes caught the stretcher and the body on top of it.
He waited for a second…
Two seconds…
Third one…
And it happened again.
Her finger. The smallest finger.
It moved!
“Did you see that?” He told the doctor without taking his eyes off her.
Obviously, the doctor saw it too. His eyes are also wide.
He didn’t even wait for Acosta to ask again. He pulled his phone and called the resuscitation team.
It only took a minute before they came rushing into the mortuary.
Three doctors.
“She was confirmed dead many hours ago. The bullet was removed from the top of her heart exactly!” One of them said unbelievably.
“On top of her heart?” Acosta gasped. “It didn’t even reach her heart?”
“It grazed her heart a little,” the doctor nodded. “But she was pronounced dead. Her heart stopped, Mr. Simpson.”
“But her finger moved just now. It fuckin moved!” Acosta shouted.
“What are you—”
“Allison’s finger moved!!” Acosta shouted, locking the doctor’s coat. “Get the fuck over there and make checks! Make double checks!”
“I saw the finger move too, and that’s why I called…” Peach’s doctor said.
And that was when the resuscitation team doctors moved. His words made them move into the room finally.
They checked her heartbeats, pulse and body temperature first.
Acosta stayed by the door with Peach’s doctor.
He held the frame so tight it nearly snapped under his grip.
He was praying with his mind, begging God with everything he has, even with his own life.
The team doctors looked up with wide eyes suddenly.
Their eyes met Acosta’s.
“There’s a little warmth on her armpits, and her pulse is slim on her wrists….” They reported.
“I knew it!!!” Acosta bursted into tears again—tears of joy.
“I fucking knew it!” He cried again.
Peach’s doctor placed a palm on Acosta’s shoulder.
“Good thing you stayed here with the body. She’d have been embalmed with the little life she had left…”
Acosta nodded.
“I know, doctor. I know. She’s like my Right in the middle of Wrongs.”
As the team doctors pressed defibrillators to Allison’s chest to call her heartbeats back, Acosta smiled widely with his tears.
“Thank you… thank you, Allison. Thank you for not dying…”

[Redd Estate]
Right now, the building is undergoing destruction.
Government sent dozens of bulldozers to bring the main building down because according to Genevieve and Marley’s confession, they buried Seraphina’s triplet siblings on this land before they built the building on it.
They literally built their home on top of their graves.
The government didn’t just send the bulldozers alone.
The cops also brought the criminal couple, and they’re the ones showing the bulldozer drivers the path to the destruction of their home.
With cuffs around their wrists, they were pushed around like the animals that they are.
Genevieve’s red lipstick is still intact, but now it’s fading into oblivion, sign-in her start of sufferings.
Marley’s suit is stained in different spots, his glasses is off, giving him the look of a pauper looking for wealth.
The sound of bulldozers working filled the entire estate, ringing their upcoming doom to them.
“Can I at least go see Dora?” Genevieve said to a cop. “I heard she’s in the hospital cos someone beat her up. She has to be under intensive care at a time like this, otherwise she’d try suicide.”
“Seriously?” The cop faced the woman. “Even your attorneys resigned and refused to represent you both for this case cos they know it’s impossible to win, that should show you how deep this is, but you’re asking of your daughter Dora?”
Another cop laughed.
“I seriously can’t wait for you both to be executed.”
“Executed?” Marley sneered.
“Yes!” Another cop fired. “You killed two newborn babies and did inhumane things to the remaining one of them. You even aborted for her at 14?. Execution is even too small for you animals, but it’s better than imprisoning you both cos you both don’t deserve breathing!”
“Move forward!” They pushed the couple again, roughly.
The last wall of the building was brought down by the bulldozers at noon, and then the digging of the foundation began.

[Redd Family Hospital]
Bexley jumped out of her taxi in front of the hospital, nearly forgetting to pay the taxi driver.
She had to reverse and throw her pay at him before bolting inside with sweaty face and palms.
She was shaking as she bumped into the reception desk.
“Hey,… Please tell me Allison Hart is in a ward and not in this hospital mortuary, please…”
“Who are you, miss?” A nurse asked.
“Bexley, fû+k!” Bexley shouted. “Isn’t it obvious? I’m her younger sister! Her only family!” she showed her palm. “We have the same birthmark!”
“Oh…. Bexley Hart,” the nurse nodded after confirming her identity. “That way,” she pointed back. “Go down that hall, and curve right. She’s the second private ward there.”
“She’s in a ward?” Bexley shed tears of joy immediately.
“She narrowly escaped, Miss.” The nurse smiled. “As a matter of fact, she was already confirmed dead, was in the mortuary, and was about to be embalmed.”
“She’s a strong woman…very f+kin strong. Of course she wouldn’t leave me all alone.” Bexley wiped her tears.
She ran down the hall, bending the curve to meet three hallways that led to three different private wards.
There are names in front of each hallway door, and as she read, she gulped hard.
First one is MISS SERAPHINA
Second one is SAINT ST. GRAVES.
Third one is ALLISON HART.
Bexley’s mind tumbled.
Saint is in a private ward?
Why? How?
Then…she remembered how he called her last night, asking for water and help.
And she washed him with words.
So…his condition was this critical?
“F+k…” She dipped her fingers into her hair regretfully.
“Bexley?” An unknown voice sounded behind her, making her turn around to see a black man she knows.
“Wait…” She blinked. “You’re Kimmy’s husband,” she recognized him.
“That was before,” Acosta corrected immediately. “Now, I’m just Acosta, Peach’s pops.”
“Oh…” Bexley nodded.
“Allison went home to meet you yesterday. She said you were coming to visit, but then she was kidnapped at home and taken away by the Leader of your club.” Acosta said.
“My…my club?” Bexley stuttered.
“I saw the news, Bexley…” Acosta nodded. “Everyone in this country saw the news… you’re a Delilah. The top Delilah to be precise.”
“I….” Bexley started talking.
“Why’d you do it?” Acosta asked disappointedly. “Why would you join such cult-like club when your sister takes such good care of you?”
“What are you now?” Bexley scoffed. “Are you my father? Or Allison’s mouthpiece? Who said you could act disappointed in my deeds?”
“This ain’t the time to act like a delinquent, f+k!” Acosta raised his voice. “Fact still remains that your sister is unconscious, and the cause of it is your club Leader! You sell your n+kedness for money, dance for sinners for money when your sister works hard to give you everything you want? She sends you allowance monthly, Bexley! She pays your school tuition and changes your wardrobe too! What else do you f+kin want from her!”
Bexley gulped.
“And now, she’s laying down there in coma…” Acosta added.
“What!” Bexley gasped.
“Yeah, coma…” He nodded. “You heard that right. She narrowly escaped death, and now she’s in coma which I’m grateful for cos at least there’s still hope that she’ll wake up, but here you are, with your nudes flying around as a Delilah. Of course I’m disappointed, cos Allison would be disappointed too.”
He left her there and entered Seraphina’s private ward hall.
Bexley sniffled, trying to keep her tears inside, but the tears won.
It ran out of her eyes as she went down, squatting between Saint and Allison’s hall.
She covered her mouth with her palm to keep herself quiet as she cried regretfully.
She’d have been behind bars by now if her innocence wasn’t proven.
She was proved to be just a innocent dancer who committed no sin to enter the club, and that’s why she was released, but even with the release, can she walk freely now?
Now, she’s like a porn actress.
Who’s gonna believe she’s still a v+rgin? Who’s gonna believe she hasn’t been touched?
She only danced naked.
Nothing more.

[Seraphina’s Private Hall]
Acosta came in with a cup of coffee, and Peach stood from the stool she’s sitting on.
She has been here since few minutes ago, just watching her. She took the coffee cup from Acosta and had a sip.
“It’s sweet coffee,” she muttered.
“I know you like it sweet.” Acosta stroked her hair.
She took another sip, and they both stared at Seraphina in bed.
“She seems to be the one in mild condition among the three. She has no injury.” Peach said.
“Yeah, she was injected with too much of a potent shot, so she has to sleep it off before waking.” Acosta explained aptly.
Peach looked up.
“Everything I saw in the TV about mum and grandparents, are they true?” She asked.
“You saw?” He frowned.
“When you spent hours at the mortuary and my doctor took me away, I watched the news, and I browsed the internet too cos you left your phone at the ward. I saw everything mum did to Aunt Seraphina, and everything my grandparents did to her too.”
Acosta squatted in front of her.
“Peach, it’s—”
“I don’t want you to sugarcoat words for me, pops…” She cut in. “You told me it’s not good to tell lies, so don’t lie to me too. Mum and grandparents and even Dora, they’re all bad people, aren’t they?” She asked.
Acosta looked into her eyes, witnessing her yearn for the truth and transparency.
He nodded.
“Yeah., they’re bad people, and you can’t be like them in the future. Remember, you’re Peach Simpson, my dear daughter.” He smiled.
“You’re in love with that pretty tall smart comatose lady, aren’t you?” She asked suddenly.
His smile wiped.
“Peach, I—”
“Again, you can’t lie to me.” She cut in. “When mum was alive, you didn’t look at her the way you look at this lady. She’s the one who saved me from Dora’s attempt to kill me, and wasn’t she the lady at the aquarium? Rasheeda?”
“Her name’s actually Allison. She’s Allison Hart.” Acosta corrected.
“Do you love her?” Peach repeated. “I won’t criticize you. Tell me, so I can think about it.”
“Peach, you won’t und—”
“Last chance, pops. Do you?” She asked seriously.
“I do!” He sharply replied.
Peach inhaled.
“Peach, yes. I love this lady a lot.” He elaborated carefully.
Peach nodded simply, and a sharp groan came from behind them.
They both turned to see Seraphina trying to sit up in bed.
“Seraphina!” Acosta got up, rushing over to help her sit up.
Peach stayed where she stayed, watching guiltily.
She was once made to climb the podium to lie on this lady.
She she has no confidence to go close.
“Seraphina, you ok?” Acosta repeated as Seraphina looked around.
Her eyes are still red, lips pale and hair haphazard. Overall, she looks like a sick little girl, swallowed totally by her wide hospital gown.
A refuge for grief and dumpster of sadness would be a fitting name. She looks lost, especially with the way she’s looking around the ward like it’s a new whole world.
“Aunt Seraphina?” Peach came closer eventually.
“Don’t!” Acosta held her back. “Let her get her bearings right.”
Peach stopped, and together with Acosta, they watched Seraphina’s continuous look around.
Seraphina stared around the ward for over then minutes like a mad person, then it started coming back.
Memories.
Attack at the Oddsion.
Kidnap of her and Saint.
Vince and Ruth at the tarmac.
Allison’s shooting.
Tobias’s cracked head and fall.
It all realigned, and her brows squeezed together first.
She stood, slowly…her eyes felt like they were squeezing Acosta together.
“I’m all alone now, do you know?” She pointed at herself.
“Serap—
“I’m fuckin alone now. My boyfriend, gone. My best friend? G—no… she wasn’t a best friend, she was my sister, but she’s gone too!!!” She broke down, picking her pillow.
She threw it.
“Seraphina!!” Acosta caught her by the arms, pulling her to the bed.
Shockingly, she’s so strong it was hard to keep her locked down as she threw her head and limbs.
“Who the hell took me away from the cliff edge!! Who the hell took me away from the brink of dead? I never said I wanted to live!!! I can’t live without my Tobias, I can’t live without my Mamacita. I can’t stay here….can’t you hear what I’m saying? I can’t stay!!!”
“Peach! Get the doctor!” Acosta shouted when it was becoming too hard to pin her down.
As Peach got to the door, the doctor himself came in with two other doctors, but even the conjunction of everyone of them couldn’t keep Seraphina down to the bed.
“There should be a heart stopper injection here, right? I hear it’s used to stop the pain of people whose case have no solution! Please give it to me and just let me go…”
“Calm the heck down and listen to us!” The doctor snapped.
“Listen to what!!” Seraphina shot.
“Allison is alive, in coma though….I don’t have news about Tobias, but Allison is alive.” Acosta said.
Seraphina’s bones softened, and she pushed the doctors arms away.
They let her go.
“Where’s she?” She muttered.
She was taken out of the ward to dress up. She wore a different hospital gown, nose mask, cap and covering gloves.
She was disinfected before she entered Allison’s ward where she’s connected to various machines.
A pipe is in her mouth and tiny ones in her nostrils and chest and wrists.
She’s wired like a radio.
But seeing her made Seraphina’s grief slim down, and she smiled slowly.
“Lis… you’re really… really…”
Bexley was in the ward before she came in, but she didn’t act like she saw Bexley.
She went to the other side of the bed and wish she could touch her, but she’s in a really critical condition.
The doctors warned against touching as her health is sensitive.
Seraphina could only stand in the middle of the beeping machines and passable wires and watch her best friend struggling to stay alive.
“You must stay alive, Lis…you have to..” she nodded. “You promised to be my chief bridesmaid if I got married to the love of my life, and I promised to scatter the whole NYC when you get married. You promised to give me the grandest opening when I finally open my building, and I promised to be your biggest supporter if you eventually run for Mayor like you’ve been planning….you can’t die on me.”
“Miss Seraphina? Miss Bexley?” The doctor came in to usher them out.
As they stepped out, Seraphina stepped into the next private hall.
Saint’s.
She didn’t enter. She stayed by the glass wall and watched him from there according to the doctor’s instructions.
He’s just as wired as Allison.
“He was found in a car in the middle of the road with you at his backseat.” Acosta said behind her.
“He must be the one who took me away from the cliff…” Seraphina muttered. “Who brought us?”
“We did!” Annika entered excitedly with her father. “I’m so glad to see you’re awake, boss!”
They didn’t come alone.
They came with almond every worker at Sera’s Crochets.
Sera left the hall with them, leaving Bexley by the wall of Saint’s ward.
Bexley stood there, mind painful. She couldn’t stop reminiscing about the call he made to her last night.
“I’m so sorry, ….” She started crying again, resting her head on the glass. “I’m sorry for being a bitch…I’m…”
She went on her knees, crying harder. “I’m sorry.”
—
At the general hall, Seraphina received her well wishes from her staffs and Annika and her father, but nothing about her depicted aliveness.
She still looks down.
Even as the staffs kept showering her with words of affection.
She felt nothing.
Acosta came to her sudden….
“Seraphina, you need to know something about your parents—”
“I’ll be right back!” She cut him off and rushed into the nearest washroom where she rested on the water dispenser and let out her tears.
The tears she has been keeping.
The waterworks rushed out, bathing the dispenser hotly.
“Tobias…” Her nose ran too, stinging had burning when she remembered how he pushed her off and took the steel pipe on his head instead.
When she remembered the blood that bathed his head before he fell, her tears burned hotter.
“What do I do? What do I fuckin do?” She slipped down. “How do I live without you? It’s impossible…I still feel like dying…”
She dipped her face into the arms she rested on the dispenser, and at the same time, the door opened.
She didn’t look up till she heard the mean voice.
“First Lady.”
Her head went up to meet Yalda by the door.
“Yalda?” She hiccuped.
“Wrath has been found…..” Yalda dragged the words. “Alive.”
Seraphina’s eyes widened.
“He’s…what?”
“Alive, but in a deadly condition. His head was a mess when the divers rescued him, and it’s still a mess.”
“What…what do you mean?” Seraphina’s heart jumped.
Yalda led her out of the washroom, to the park where they both hopped in her car and she drove them to the Oddsion.
Odds are cleaning up the blood and body already, but Yalda took her across the mess to Tobias’s room at the far top of the lift.
When they got to the door, Yalda walked away and left her there.
The smell of antibiotics and antiseptics and cleanliness hit her nostrils first, causing her chest to thud faster with fear of what she might meet inside.
Fear of the unknown.
Before she could even touch the door, it opened like it recognized her.
She stepped into the huge room, and in bed, he looks like a fallen giant.
He lay there, motionless with a large wrap of bandage around his head and a spread of blood on it. He’s shirtless, only covered by his black transparent pants, eyes tightly shut.
Slow steps, steady eyes, and racing heart brought her to his bedside. She didn’t sit beside it or stand around it. She climbed up and lay beside him, placing a palm on his chest.
It’s now she had a clear view of his face. Paler than pale. He clearly lost a lot of blood cos he looks lean already, and his porcelain skin has reddish marks from the fight.
She couldn’t stop the tears again.
It slid out of the corner of her eyes to the mattress slowly.
The tear from her second eye stained her mouth, and she kissed his hair with the teary mouth.
“You know…” She started. “I wasn’t expecting you to do that. I mean..the only place I saw males take hits for their girl was in movies, and I’ve never fantasized it cos I thought…who’s take a hit for someone like me? Who’d lay his life down for a girl like me? But you did… Tobias…you didn’t care, you did…”
She rubbed his chest, hiccuping.
“I didn’t know I could even control authority and crowd till I met you. You changed me, Tobias. I can’t even remember the last time I stammered or shy away from cameras, or the last time I cried from humiliation, or the last time someone even humiliated me… and it’s all you.”
A sniffle left her nose.
“You made me bold, I took steps I never imagined myself taking, and I could confront people I didn’t even dream of meeting. I command millions in my account, but I didn’t even spend my money cos you made sure I got a card from you. You took care of me like a real Daddy, spoilt me materially and sexually. You might be the criminal they all hate, my love, but You’re forever my sweet man, and no other will replace…”
“You own me, my heart, my everything. I’m willing to go through pain for my first twenty-four years in my next life again so far I’d meet you at after twenty-four, but it won’t be bad if I meet you earlier though, cos… I can’t do without you, ok? But we aren’t even done in this life yet. We haven’t even started anything…I want you back to life…I want you so bad to life…my love…I want you…”
Her sniffles mixed with her tears and hiccups, and it mixed with the sheets.
“I love you so much, Tobias. I…. love you…I love you…” She chanted, placing her lips on his ear. “Love you like crazy…” She kissed his ear.
She stayed there, talking to him like he could hear her, and giving him bodily kisses, lamenting and sniffling and crying for more than five hours.
No one disturbed.
They left her alone.
But at the sixth hour, the door alarm came in a low tone.
She got up and went to the door, pulling it open to meet Jude Estelle.
“Sorry to ruin your moment, First Lady, but I just thought you should know about this…” Jude said.
Seraphina looked on.
Estelle pulled out a tab, handing it to Seraphina who took it slowly.
“Read the news.”
Seraphina’s eyes darted to the tab screen. She read the Redd couple news for just two minutes before another tear slid down her left eye.
She looked up, shutting her eyes as her right eye shed it’s own tear too.
The tab fell off her hands, and she followed it.
Her body crashed to the floor.
“First Lady!”
—
[Six Months Later – Hospital]
Seraphina’s Aston Martin drove into the hospital park, and three other cars drove in right after her.
From the three cars, five Odds and ten guards stepped out.
Fifteen people.
One of the Odds opened the Aston Martin door, and a insanely beautiful Seraphina stepped down.
Her sleek hair got blown by the air first, nearly curling with her face, but it was styled to never do that.
It only moved with the breeze.
Her Renee Caviolla heels carried out her majestic in her crocheted piece of royal-mood blue dress which has pieces of rare beads dangling at the hem—the same bead she made Tobias’s bracelet with.
For the past six months, she has been wearing crochets that has that bead. Even if she didn’t wear crochet, she’ll have the bracelet around her wrist.
She made the same bracelet for herself too.
A guard took her bag, and another one opened the hospital entrance.
She entered in their company, and the doctors and nurses knew to keep their distance, seeing her guards.
Allison’s private ward was opened, and she met her best friend sitting up in bed with a pillow behind her, and a huge smile on her face.
Seraphina got emotional immediately, pouting as the tears threatened to fall.
“I didn’t believe when I got the call that you woke uppp…”
“And now?” Allison smiled wider.
“I’m indeed your first born, I’ll agree and keep letting you call me that if you promise to never scare me like that again. I was so scareddd…” Seraphina’s eyes watered.
“Come here,” Allison opened her arms, and Seraphina walked right into it, hugging her tight.
Allison started her own tears immediately, and that made Seraphina’s tears fall too.
“I was in my house, waiting for Bexley to come so I could tell her about my stuff with Acosta, then these bastards entered and just knocked me out like a doll. Next I knew, I was at the tarmac, and the gunshot made me lose all hope…
“I thought I’d die and not get to witness your wedding where I’ve planned to dance like your personal slut and throw you a bitchy wedding shower! I thought you’d never get to see my own wedding too! I thought we’d never be able to see each other become billionaires and I thought I’d never be able to rock summer with your crocheted swimsuits!”
“Me too!” Seraphina cried. “I thought we wouldn’t become each other’s godmother when we finally birth our cute pretty babies. I thought I was gonna die…I thought I wasn’t gonna survive, it Lis. Please, stay around…stay with me Mama.”
“I’m going nowhere, Phina First Born. It’s always and forever.”
“Yes,” Seraphina nodded. “Always and forever, Mama.”
They broke the hug, and their smiles mirrored each other like that day they met at Minds University cafe.
“Hey, you lost weight on the flesh, but surprisingly, surprisingly! The curves didn’t reduce! I said it, you took this shape from a witch circle. Introduce me to the circle!” Allison said.
“Don’t even start,” Seraphina laughed. “I’m not ready for your crazy talkativeness yet.”
“Like you aren’t a talkative too. Just that you do it with me alone…” Allison blinked.
“You, and Tobias…” Seraphina stroked Allison’s hair.
“Of course!!!” Allison laughed. “Where’s he? Tell me, did you open your building already? Cos I’m sure the construction is over now. Acosta definitely did it fine, I trust him.”
“No let’s talk about him first. I said it, you like black dick!” Seraphina grinned.
“It’s not about the dick!” Allison shouted. “It’s about him! Girl, he’s fineee! Have you seen his tattoos? His wife is dead, so I guess it’s my time!”
“You sneaky bitch!” Seraphina pulled her ear slightly.
“Please!” Allison laughed loud.
“And Tobias is….” Seraphina’s voice went down suddenly. “He’s….”
And that was when her phone rang with Yalda’s call.
She stood and picked it.
“Is anything the problem?” She panicked. “Is he gasping for breaths again? Is his temperature high again? Is his pulse slowing ag—”
“Wrath is awake, First Lady.” Yalda announced fast.
Seraphina’s eyes widened.
She didn’t even say bye to Allison.
She rushed out of the ward, bumping into Acosta who was also rushing in.
They didn’t even see each other or feel the bumps.
Seraphina continued running away, and Acosta ran inside.
Allison’s smile widened again.
“Oh my God, Allison!” He chuckled, hiding his face in his palms.
“No, don’t act too cute I might kiss you!” Allison laughed.
“Oh my God!” He repeated, biting his full lower lip. “F+k!”
—
[Tobias’s Oddsion]
Seraphina didn’t want for the car to be parked. She leapt out of it and ran inside, past the line of Odds at each hall and lift and by the walls.
She rushed into Tobias’s floor.
Door is open, so she ran inside.
He sat up in bed, still shirtless, but he’s up. He sat in bed with his lips still pale, face still sickly, and eyes carrying anger that could corrode living things to ashes.
She bursted into the room.
Jude and Yalda and Grimm are in with him. She rushed past them, landing on him in bed.
“Tobias!” Her voice was sharp, breathless, fast as she wrapped her arms around him in a warm, tight embrace, her sweat soaking his neck.
“Tobias…” She whispered again, expecting reciprocation.
But none came, and that made her break the hug, but immediately she did, she was picked up by a force she had no idea where it came from.
By her neck, she was grabbed, and her breaths seized as her throat choked in the middle of the palm.
Before she knew it, she was thrown away to the corner of the room where she landed like a doll.
Looking up with wide, shocked eyes, her eyes met with Tobias’s.
He’s standing now. He stood after throwing her, and if the anger in his gaze before could corrode to ashes, this new shade would burn anything to nothingness. He looks insane.
Scattered hair, rising chest, blowing muscles, squeezed brows, and hateful—extra hateful face.
“Kelly?” His voice broke with scary huskiness which resonated. “You’ve got a lot of nerves, thinking you could run in here and throw yourself at me like a whore you’ve always been!”
Seraphina’s eyes brutally widened again on the floor where she sat with red neck and cold skin.
“Tobias!” She stood with a dying gasp. “I’m not Kelly. I’m Seraphina, your baby, your Sera, your girlfriend!”
“You’ll need better lying skills, Kelly.” He smirked stonily. “I’ve never met a Seraphina. The only person I’ve met is you—a whore who betrayed me for my brother!” He growled, picking a wasp knife from under his pillow.
He flung it precisely at her.
Seraphina closed her eyes, tight.
TBC.
