Seraphina’s scream seemed to disappear together with Tobias.
The darkness swallowed it whole, puncturing a big black hole in her chest in return.
Nothing happened.

Her scream didn’t bring him back.
Instead, her eyes burned.
Her nerves popped open.
Her head fried.
He won’t come back.
He’s gone…for life?
Allison’s body is still cold, dead on the tarmac grounds, and now…
He’s gonna go too?
The two people who was ever real with her. The two people who ever showed her how being cherished felt like. The two people who were insane about her wellbeing and wellness.
Her two kryptonites’
Her…. essences.
She wasn’t gonna remain alive alone, lonely on this earth.
She wasn’t gonna let them go on the journey beyond alone.
She didn’t walk slow.
She ran.
A crazy run towards the edge of the cliff, hair flowing, dress flowing, her barefoot getting stabbed by the assembly of pebbles.
The coldest teardrop fell down her cheeks as she got to the edge of the cliff, leaping to jump, but so many strong arms grabbed her from behind
Yalda, Jude, Estelle, and Saint.
“What are you gonna do!!” Yalda yelled at her ears.
“Let go of me!!!” Seraphina cried, throwing her legs and head and fingers, twisting against their grip, shedding fresh flows. “Let me go!!!!”
“Jumping wouldn’t solve shit, SarahNina!” Saint shouted.
“Leave me alone!!!!” Seraphina yelled bitterly. Even her own voice sounds bitter to her ears. The world is a kaleidoscope of pains right now.
“Tobias!!!!” She cried madly again. “Allison!!!!” She kicked.
“Calm down for now, First Lady.” Jude added calmly.
“Don’t First Lady me!!” She shouted, hitting her forehead on Jude’s.
Jude fell back.
“Don’t say shit to me!!!! I can’t take this!” I can’t!!!!” Her fight continued.
“He’s our First Man too, and we’re in pains too!” Estelle said.
Seraphina slammed her forehead on Estelle’s too, and just like Jude, Estelle fell back with a stagger to Jude.
“Anything to hold her down?” Saint whispered to Yalda. “End her pains for now. She can continue later.”
Yalda didn’t let him land. She signalled at an Odd behind, and a fully loaded syringe and needle was tossed to her.
“I’m sorry, First Lady,” she whispered before thrusting the needle into Seraphina’s neck, releasing the shot directly into her system.
One second was all it took. Seraphina went limp on her arms.
“I’ll take her!” Saint offered.
Yalda released her for him, and he lifted her easily.
As he ran to the car with Seraphina, Yalda and the rest shuffled, cos Vince is nowhere around.
“He jumped too,” Jude said. “When Firstie fell off, Vince jumped too.”
“He probably already heard about what happened at the precinct already, so he intentionally jumped.” Estelle sniffled.
“The accusations and Wrath going to clear his name was all part of Vince’s plan,” Yalda informed. “It was the distraction he needed for us to be away from the Oddsion while First Lady was inside, so he sent his Serpents to attack.”
“I must admit, it was clean…” Jude nodded slowly.
“That’s the only clean job he’ll ever get to do. This is far from over…” Yalda got her phone, gritting.
She was about to send a text when another car drove to the cliff.
Divers jumped out of the car. Uniformed, authorized divers straight from their organization.
There are ten of them.
Their captain raised his card at Yalda…. “From the President. We got your first text, and the President’s orders.”
Yalda nodded, then stepped back with the other Odds.
The divers did their set-up hastily, then seven of then jumped into the sea while three of them stayed up to check the waves and signals.
Odds waited with them.
No one moved except Saint who took Seraphina away in a car.
“Allison? How’s she?” Yalda asked.
“Unfortunately,” an Odd replied. “She died immediately that bullet hit her. Her body was already cold when we were wrapping her up earlier.”
“Damn,” Yalda bit her tongue. “I liked that cool bitch. She was good to First Lady…I liked her…”
“We all did.” Jude looked up at the sky as if holding back his tears.
“Perez?” Yalda asked.
“Captured. He’s at the trunk of the last car.” An Odd replied.
“Ruth? Xero?” Yalda added.
“Ruth didn’t survive your machine gun. Her body is scattered around the tarmac ground. And I think Vince killed Xero before we even arrived at the tarmac.” Jude answered.
“And before you ask about the Serpents, every last one of them was dead by our weapons before we came to this cliff.” Another Odd explained.
“Perez….” Yalda glowered at nothing in particular. “He’s going to wish he never met a man called Wrath.”
“How did Wrath save him?” Estelle asked. “Jude said everyone has a story here.”
“Wrath saved Perez from prison,” An Odd replied. “Perez was falsely accused of drug trafficking in Atlanta, and he was so close to getting imprisoned for twenty years, but Wrath stepped up and got him.”
“And he payed with this? Just because he was in love with Migos?” Jude shook his head. “He deserves to be grinded to dust.”
“Wrath must be found,” Yalda gritted, staring at the dark sea which spread below them with dark eyes. “Wrath must be found… alive.”

Saint’s chest wound seemed like it reopened again as he drove Seraphina in his car.
Seraphina’s limp body lay at the backseat, seeming untouched by the rocking of the car as Saint pulled it hastily on the road.
Saint drove with an hand and then clutched his chest tightly with the other hand, grunting.
It’s bleeding again.
Bleeding like hell.
The blood spread on his white singlet, dampening his pants too.
Heavy pants escaped him, and his chest felt like a heavy stone was placed on it, but he kept driving.
He has to get Seraphina to safety and sprinkle water on her to lessen the effects of the injection on her.
Otherwise, she might sleep for weeks, or even months.
So, he drove.
Madly, nonstop, over-speeding.
His chest bled more, and it felt like his heart would fall out.
“F+kkkk!!!” He cried out at a point, hitting his own head on the steering and intentionally hurting himself.
Tears left his eyes.
“I swear, Toby, if you die and leave me alone, I’ll kill you…. I’ll fuckin kill you. Wherever you are in that sea, you better stay strong…you better not slip to death…” He cried harder.
His chest hammered again, and more blood spilled out.
The tires screamed beneath the rims as he made a rough turn into the next avenue, then he remembered something…
Bexley.
Bexley’s house is close to this place.
He took his phone with his bloody hand, driving with his clean hand as he dialled her line…
Bexley picked when it has almost stopped ringing.
“Yes?” Her voice was harsh. “What the f+k do you want this late?”
“I’m at your avenue, and I need your help. I’m like three houses away from your house and I need water and… someone to drive me. I swear, I’m losing so much blo—”
“And I look to you like the perfect water giver?” She slashed back.
Saint’s jaws tightened.
“Wait… because you’ve been giving me short bundles, you think I’ll come to you whenever you call? Check the time, f+ker, it’s f+kin past 11pm, and you want what? Water? Or are you finally gonna fufil your lifelong wish of fucking me?” She continued.
Again, Saint’s jaws tightened again.
“We used each other to make Dora run mad, and that’s that. Wait…I planned to use you, take your money and let you off, but now I’m having a change of mind. Run away from me as far as you can, you’ve never been my taste, Saint St. Graves.” Bexley finished up and ended the call.
The phone fell off Saint’s palm, and his head fell on the steering.
It was unintentional this time cos he lost his consciousness.
His forehead slammed on the leather wheel, and blood erupted from the forehead too, staining the wheel.
Thankfully, he already stopped the car consciousness slipped off.
With the full headlights on, the car paused in the middle of the road, blocking the cars behind it.
“Hey sucker!”
“Get the f+k out of the road!”
“You fuckin your wife in the car? Get a damn room!”
Honks. Yells. Curses.
A Uber driver came out with his passenger, both seeming to notice something ain’t right.
They moved to the car, and the windows are luckily down.
The driver gasped.
“It’s Saint St. Graves!”
The passenger who’s his daughter—Annika, let out a gasp too.
“It’s my boss at the back!”
The driver rushed to the backseat window, blinking shockingly.
“It’s really Miss Seraphina!”
By now, almost every driver is out of their cars to see what was happening.
Annika and her father got to work immediately, and other people joined them too. Seraphina and Saint were taken out through the car windows.

[Club Frontman’s House]
Bexley is still in front of the house, refusing to leave unless Frontman gave her what she wanted.
Frontman left her in front of the house and went in an hour ago, deciding it was best to leave her alone. If she gets tired, she’d leave.
But she never left.
So he came out of the house again, frustrated.
“Who the f+k were you talking to on phone few minutes ago? You sounded like you were transferring your frustrations and pain on the person. Whoever it is…” He scoffed.
Bexley stood to him.
“You must surely have something, Frontman. I don’t give a f+k about that club anymore, it’s in shambles now anyways, but they must pay for always treating me poorly. First, Dora attacked me and they refused to get justice for me…I even got suspended. Now, Kelly is to take my place?”
“What the f+k are you talking about?” Frontman sighed. “The club is in crisis, and I don’t even think Kelly will be able to get in. It’s—”
His phone buzzed, interrupting his speech. He got the phone out and checked the notification.
“No…” He muttered, the shock in his eyes massive. “No…no….”
Bexley moved closer, checking what’s up with him on his phone.
There, she saw Williams St. Graves book reading on the news.
Uncle Will barged into a news outlet station some minutes ago and is now personally on the news with a secret document that has the names of the Valhalla Club members and the sins they committed to get in the club.
The highlight is the kill sin.
Especially the Genevieve and Marley one. It’s heavy.
“No…..” Frontman muttered again, but Bexley laughed out derisively, too overjoyed.
“Yes!!! Bitch, yes!!!”
“Did you see this?” Frontman showed him her phone.
Not only the Billionaires and their sins were revealed, but also the faces of the club creator…Madam Shine.
The current leader… Vince St. Graves.
The right-hand man Xero.
The faces of the Serpents, Frontman, and Delilahs.
Now, not only the Delilahs faces were revealed. Their n+kedness was in the file, and Uncle Will shoved everything into the camera.
Bexley’s picture was the largest.
Bexley’s eyes widened.
“No….” She swallowed, facing the Frontman. “That’s not real, right?”
“I have to get outta here!” The Frontman rushed inside.
Bexley stood there, frozen, feeling stripped and bare.
Her n+kedness is out there.
She’s exposed for all NYC.
She was so deep into her shock that she didn’t notice her ringing phone.
The phone rang till the end at first, then it started the second ring.
She dug it out and picked the unknown number call.
She brought the phone to her ear without talking.
“This is a check in call from Redd Family Hospital mortuary. We just received a body identified as Allison Hart, and findings show you’re her only fami—”
“Rewind,” Bexley muttered, her body going completely cold.
“Miss Bexley Hart?”
“Rewind!!!!” She screamed mindlessly. “Who the f+k died? Who the hell did you say—”
And that was when a police car drove to a sharp stop in front of the house.
At the same time, Frontman came out of the house with a small bag containing his needed belonging.
“Shit!” He cussed, trying to run, but he was captured before he could hit the curb.
Bexley was grabbed too, and her phone fell from her, but her coldness didn’t even allow her struggle.
The cops pulled her from behind, and as she was dragged to the car, her eyes stayed on the phone on the ground like she’s still finding it hard to believe the news.
But as the cuffs were snapped on her wrist, her mouth opened.
“Allison!!!”
She tried running back to the phone like it’s Allison laying there, but she was dragged back by the strong hands of the cops.
Her throat opened.
“Allison can’t be dead!!! She can’t be…can’t be..dead!!!!!!”

[Redd Family Hospital]
Acosta eventually slept off inside Peach’s ward. He placed his head beside he in bed, holding her hand tight in his sleep.
The jolting of her thumb made his eyes open, and he slowly lifted his head from the bed.
Right there, Peach’s eyes met his own., and his eyes widened. His ass left the chair immediately.
“Peach!”
“Pops,” she sniffled like she had been awake for long and has been crying.
“Oh my gawd, you’re actually awake…” He gushed happily, grinning. “You’re awake.”
“And mum is still dead, right?” She muttered weakly, eyes void.
Acosta’s spirit weakened immediately. His arms dropped.
“Peach…”
“Why was she killed like that? Why was her chest like that? Why was her body like that? Why was….”
“I’m so sorry you had to witness that gore, Peach. So sorry…” He muttered, taking her hand again.
“Mr. Simpson!” The doctor rushed inside the ward.
Acosta turned, anxious.
“You need to see this! It’s against the hospital policy, but you have to see it….” He said.
Acosta excused himself from Peach and followed him out, wondering what could be so pressing.
The doctor took him to the hospital mortuary building, and the first body he saw in the first room made his soul leave his body.
Allison, laying on a stretched, body covered from her chest to her toes, face about to start turning purple.
Acosta staggered, and the doctor quickly held him.
“Mr. Simpson…”
Acosta faced him, nodding once.
“That’s not Allison.”
“Mr. Simpson, I’m so sorry…” The doctor held him by both arms.
“I said,” Acosta pushed the doctor away. “That’s not her…”
“According to the footage found in her house, she was waiting for her sister to come visiting before Serpents from the demonic club got in forcefully and took her.” The doctor explained quickly.
“That’s not Allison!” Acosta punched the doctor, his chest rising. “That’s not….that’s not Allison…” He shook his head. “That’s not…”
He broke down.
“No…. someone tell me otherwise. That’s not Allison lying down there! I told her to please wait. I said Peach would soon wake up, but she insisted on going home to meet her sister, and this is it? This is her?” He laughed.
“I’m so sorry, Mr. Simpson…” The doctor repeated.
Acosta slumped weakly immediately, sitting on the floor as hot tears rolled out of his eyes.
“She said she’d kiss me properly if Peach woke up…” He laughed with his tears, looking up at the doctor. “She was the most hardworking hustler I knew, yunno … She was sweet, kind, and…and….”
He broke down again, dipping his face in his knees.
By the door, stood Peach, watching her father.
She actually followed him from her ward. She held the door frame, and her eyes are tearful too.

[NYC Precinct – Dawn]
In the interrogation room, Genevieve and Marley sat in front of the state major investigator with papers of their sins on the table.
The couple look defeated, but at the same time, they couldn’t peel their pride off their faces.
They still look a little cocky as they stared from the papers to the interrogator to the walls and ceilings of the wired room.
The interrogator leaned forward, his elbows pressing the desk, and his glasses notching on his eyes.
“You both still have no idea how badly your crimes run, do you?” His voice was angry. “You both killed your children to get in a club?”
Marley and Genevieve shifted uncomfortably on their seats.
“Your second daughter Seraphina is a triplet!” Interrogator snapped, standing angrily.
“Genevieve, you killed the first triplet baby Samantha. Marley, you killed the second male baby Sanders, then you both left the third triplet baby Seraphina alive to hate like a disease. What the actual hell!!!!” He yelled.

[Cliff Edge – Dawn]
It’s been seven hours now.
Seven hours since the divers started. They’ve been diving and re-diving, taking turns to go in batches.
Two dives now, but nothing.
No Tobias anywhere in the waves, currents, deep down.
He wasn’t found.
The Odds didn’t move.
None of them sat. They were barely breathing as the divers came up again with nothing.
“You people don’t understand, do you?” Yalda smirked. “No one’s leaving if he’s not found. Even if takes months!”
“It’s either we find him…” Zaine said. He came with Grimm few hours ago.
“Or we all get in the water and drown with him.” Jude added.
“Get back in that water!” Yalda ordered.
And for the third time, another batch of divers entered the water in deep search of Wrath.
Yalda’s shoe stayed on top of a stone, tapping slowly, arms crossed.
Jude’s jaws stated set.
And so is every of the Odds.
This isn’t just about finding a boss. This is about finding their godfather alive and breathing.
Estelle was panicking.
If this man dies, then her income source is over.
Everyone’s minds became muddled as the minutes rolled fast.
Then, suddenly word came from the surveiling divers.
“We found something!”
TBC.
