“Sera…Phina!!” Dean managed to push out the yell through his weak mouth as his head throbbed.

He got a door slam as an answer.

She really left him on the floor like this after making him bleed with a flower vase crash?

His phone cried to life in his pocket, vibrating on his skin.

He let out another grunt, inserting his hand in his pocket after tossing around gently on the floor.

He pulled the phone out of his pocket, dragging himself to sit up. He rested his back on the wall, staring at the screen with barely open eyes.

It’s Kell.

His bloody thumb slipped across the screen twice, missing the green before he was finally able to swipe.

“Baby,” Kelly’s low voice came, still grieve-stricken. “I’m coming to your house to spend the night instead. Scratch the initial plan of you coming to my place. I don’t care about that bitch at your estate, I just want to be with you. As a matter of fact, I’m already on my way, driving to—”

“Urgg!” Dean released a deep howl.

“Dean?” Kelly’s voice went high, suspicious. “Wait….are you ok? What the hell’s going on..babe!”

“Get here quick….” Dean pulled a needed breath inside. “I’m bleeding.”

“What!”

He heard Kelly’s car tyres screeching rough after that word.

“I’m pulling up in your garage already.” She rushed. “I’ll be right there with you soon!”

The call remained on.

Dean kept his eyes open till Kelly opened the front door.

Seeing his state, she couldn’t contain her scream as she flew to him.

“Dean!!”

“I’m…I’m good.” He talked through shallow groans. “It’s only a scratch.”

“That bitch did this?” Kelly threw away her bag, helping him up quickly. “She did this to you?”

“Just get me to the hospital, Kelly!” Dean groaned crankily. “Get me out of this place to a healthcare!”

“Easy…” She held his tummy, picking her bag with the second hand.

Like that, they stepped over his drops of blood, out of the mansion.

[Redd Estate – Penthouse]

Genevieve stood at the edge of the top rails, elbows leaned on the banister as she stared at the TV.

Marley is down in the living room, standing behind a couch with an hand pocketed, and a sleazy smile which refused to leave his face.

He stared at the TV too.

The news of the attack at Savior’s Alive Church filled the news—every screen. Mouths chewed it.

Easily, it became the most trending news of the week.

“If Leader had said this was his plan, I’d have called him clueless and rash. I mean…that Church ain’t even on the list of top Churches in the city. Why would people feed on the news of it’s attack?” Marley sighed.

He rested his palms on the edge of the backrest he’s behind.

“Most people don’t know the Priest is a son of the St. Graves family.” Genevieve responded from the top. “I mean…. Dean has always been the known golden one, and Tobias the lowdown unknown animal. How about we stir the waters further and make people more curious about him? Give reporters anonymous tidbits of how he was a notorious student of Hollow University?”

“Then,” Marley looked up. “Reporters won’t leave the Church, they always want fresh news like dogs want freshly extracted bones.”

“Exactly,” Genevieve smiled. “I can’t believe it’s contained this early. Tommorow, Dora can reopen her Clan, and at the end, we’re still the good people to the public.”

“And if the cursed thing comes to demand for the shoe lick from Dora, it’ll be her end.” Marley laughed.

“Fûck, things are balanced again…” Genevieve flaunted her hair, descending. “The giant hotel construction is still consciously and smoothly ongoing, and we got our eyes on another land too!”

“We’re a match made in abyss, Gene,” Marley smiled.

Her hands went hung on his shoulders, red lips spreading.

“I know, right?”

In sync, they leaned in, connecting their lips.

[Third Floor]

Kimmy was putting work together on the newly-sighted land for the company on her laptop when Acosta arrived with Peach, finally.

Acosta held a bag of ice cream cake, but he handed to Peach immediately they walked in.

“You’re not eating with me?” Peach squeezed her face.

“It’s all yours, princess.” Acosta leaned down to kiss her forehead.

“All hers?” Kimmy stood, walking over to them. “Wait, ice cream?” She frowned at the bag Peach held.

Before Peach could say a word of defense, Kimmy snatched the bag.

“Ice cream? Cake? Seriously? At past 8? What the fûck is wrong with you, Acosta? This is the moment she needs her books! You said you wanted to take her to the hospital for her check, but you spent hours, and now you return holding junks?”

“What’s so wrong with her eating some ice cream and cake? It’s been a while since she had them!” Acosta spoke to Peach’s defence.

“Oh, now you know better?” Kimmy flared. “You don’t know shit, Acosta, and that’s why she still couldn’t top her class. There’s still another girl toping her class! Peach is always second, and it doesn’t speak well!”

“What’s so wrong in being second place in her class?” Acosta exhaled. “Peach is studious and serious, the second place is her limit!”

“No! Do not tell me shit, Acosta!” Kimmy raised her hand. “Second place is not entertained in this family, and you know it. Even if you have to kill for the first place, do it!”

“I don’t want you both to start fighting again!” Peach interrupted, getting in their middle.

“Then,” Kimmy faced her. “Go in your room, get your books and read till your eyes blur! I’ll tell the maids to get you coffee and vitamin c.”

“Yes, mummy.” Peach mumbled, giving the ice cream and cake another look before leaving.

“Kimmy,” Acosta inhaled. “You’re not helping matters. She told me she hurt the top girl in her class with a hairpin, and I’m guessing we’ll be getting a summon note from her school soon. Is this what you want?”

“Hurt who with an hairpin?’ Kimmy blinked twice, recoiling.

Deciding he wasn’t gonna get fully into the bullshit tonight, Acosta entered his bedroom.

Kimmy followed up, but he shut the door on her face.

“Costa, open this damn door!” She hit the door with her palms. “Costa, It’s been days since you touched me! I’m so fuckin horny, and you’re gonna be like this? Huh? Nigga!”

Acosta wore his headphones and increased the playing laid-back music volume to the highest.

He sat in bed, got his laptop and settled to check out the new land Redd Holdings got their eyes on.

This new one is situated in one of the busiest hearts of NYC, and if the company gets to buy it, they’re planning to build the largest supermarket in the world right there.

“It’s really big,” Acosta commented, zooming in on the land. “But the owner of the land is unknown?”

He went to the company forum to check the details.

The owner of the land is really unknown. But he specifically told the company that if they want to meet and negotiate over the land price, they should contact Allison Hart, get her help to set a meeting.

“Strange,” Acosta muttered, relaxing on his pillow.

He clicked on Allison’s name, and it took him straight to her business page where she posts interactions with her clients and whatnot.

“Never seen a chic as hardworking.” Acosta chuckled slowly.

But his time was slashed off by the loud, forced entry of Kimmy.

She got an extra key, but she still kicked her way in.

Acosta set his laptop aside.

“What the f+k?” He got down from the bed, but she was already with him. Palms on his chest, and he went back down on the mattress.

She climbed him.

“Now listen,” she pulled his beards hard. “You’re going to drill me, and you’re going to make me shake!”

“I am not in the mood, Kimmy!” He shoved her away.

Unexpectedly, she pulled a knife out from under her blouse, placing the glinting blade below his jugular.

“Kimmy!” His eyes dilated.

“Yes? You feel me? Huh?” She nodded. “Feel my blade?”

She ripped off his p+nts, and the shirt followed right after. Down it went.

She lifted herself and sat positioned on his d+k, facing him with the knife still intact on his jugular, cutting through a little skin.

“Now, you gonna make me scream, or you bleed.” She threatened.

[Savior’s Alive Church]

The nighttime of the attack didn’t weight down the amount of reporters and cops that appeared right after.

Feels like they were on standby before the attack happened, and after the Serpents retreated, they just jumped out of their hiding places.

The Church premises is full of their crowd, stretching to the gate.

Reporters, cops, even civilians and the church people who originally didn’t come for the program.

They came upon hearing what had happened, and they’re also hunting for information.

The injured Church members are nine. Three of them are critical, but none died.

They’ve all been sent to the hospital by the Boulevard, and now cops are examining the scene while also interrogating the Priest.

Tobias wouldn’t go for treatment despite Jude’s persuasion.

He only tied his arm with a black piece of clothe to take the bleeding.

He stood in front of the Church with Jude solid beside him as he answered the boring questions.

“Who do you think did this?”

“Enemies, obviously. No idea what might birth the hate. I’m very easygoing.” Tobias replied easily.

“Are you sure about the easygoing part? Words on the street is that you attended Hollow University.” Another question hit the air.

“Right,” Tobias looked up, brow glitching subtly.

“And you’re a twin to Dean St. Graves, which automatically makes you the second child of the mysterious St. Graves family.” A cop said.

Tobias paused, thinking whoever planned all of these shit really planned well. Look how his life info is all-over the streets for picking.

“That’s a no-brainer,” he responded without flavor. “I’m a St. Graves.”

“And you have a gunshot wound to your arm right now, but it seems like you’re not even feeling it,” a ginger-haired reporter said. “Does that mean the rumours that you were a cultist in school are all true?”

Tobias angled his head, giving that reporter a eerie stare.

“That’s offensive, with all due respect.” Jude told the reporter.

“But rumours sometimes make the truest news!” The reporter adamantly pressed forward, determined. “We heard he was, and is still a dangerous cultist, and now his Church got attacked by maybe a rival cult gang. He got shot, but he’s here answering questions painlessly like it’s not his first gunshot to his body!”

“Have you been shot before?” Another reporter asked.

“Are you really a cultist while still being a Priest?”

“How do you feel about the shot Church members?”

“Do you promise a monitored recovery for them and protection for the Church at large?”

The questions went from twos to threes to fours to uncontrollable.

More reporters poured into the church, carrying their prying cameras around, looking for where to capture Tobias’s voice and face.

But he wasn’t gonna wait for that.

Jude covered him with Yalda and some Odds who’re still posing as church members.

As he was leaving the scene, the reporters followed him, rushing.

In the middle of the chaotic reporters, stood Seraphina. She couldn’t even move with their energy.

She could only stand there, making sure she doesn’t fall with their push.

She stared at Tobias’s tied arm.

She got here few minutes ago to meet this chaos, leaving her overwhelmed.

Now she doesn’t even know what to do, but she’s sure worried.

Worried about his arm.

He doesn’t seem like he’s affected by it. He doesn’t even look like he’s bleeding, but she’s still worried.

Her phone buzzed in her palm, and she lifted the screen to see she just received the mail.

Mail from him.

It’s just coming in now.

“Look who we have here,” a voice her ears doesn’t recognize reached her ears, and that moved her head up.

Ruth stood beside her, arms crossed and eyes carrying dirty hatred that could burn generations down.

A look at her garment, Seraphina knew she was a Nun. A look at her eyes, she knew she doesn’t like her.

Why would a stranger hate her?

“What can I do for you?” Seraphina asked, still confused.

“You can make this atmosphere more livable by vacating this place, adultery-drunk bitch!” Ruth stepped into her face, saying it loud.

“What!” Seraphina’s eyes dimmed.

“Now don’t act like you weren’t in his Rectory, getting sucked like an escort that you are. You got married to the other twin brother, but you’re still going after this one like a worm? You should be ashamed, chic!” Ruth laughed, pointing fingers at her.

Seraphina’s shock was obvious in the way her brows knit together.

Now, the reporters are gone, chasing after Tobias, but the church workers are gathering around to watch.

They encircled Seraphina and Ruth in the middle, wondering what’s on.

“Nun Ruth?” Grace hollered.

“No don’t holler at me right now,” Ruth snapped jealously. “Someone’s here, getting the manhood of two brothers inside herself at the same damn time! Seraphina motherfuckin’ Adulterer! One St. Graves isn’t enough for you, you had to come after the other one too? Low!”

“Ruth!” Grace hollered again.

Seraphina decided to walk away. This can be handled later.

She needs to first find out how Ruth got to know about her moment in Tobias’s Rectory bedroom.

But the moment she tried to step out of the circle, Ruth pulled her back.

“Now don’t run away from your shame, Adulterer!”

Seraphina pushed back too, spooked by her hands on her.

“What the fuck are you on? Don’t touch me!”

“I wouldn’t wanna touch a f+kin bitch too!” Ruth fired. “But I only need you to swear that you weren’t naked in his Rectory days ago, and his mouth wasn’t around your n+ple, motherfucker. Don’t be lying to my face! You were there!”

Seraphina’s jaws dropped.

[A Nightlife Spa]

After two hours ultra experience, Bexley emerged, feeling fresh and out of the womb like brand new.

She was chewing her favorite gum while tapping on her phone, making a call to the Valhalla line again.

She had been trying the line since she found out about Seraphina’s aliveness, but it’s been unavailable.

It’s hard to get to talk to anyone if you’re not booked for calls.

She’s only trying her luck.

And it finally payed off when the call connected.

“Valhalla at your service,” the Frontman’s voice came deep.

“Frontman?” Bexley shifted to a side of the spa exterior where she’s alone. “Seraphina is out, how? I’ve never seen anyone step those grounds and step out alive before…ever!”

“Are you really calling me for info hunt?” Frontman grunted.

“C’mon, we’re buddies! Y’know no Delilah in that place does it better than me. I earn my keep!” Bexley rolled eyes extremely.

“Leader was cornered with his secret son. Think she’s connected to Wrath, but that shit is already getting sorted.” Frontman explained shortly.

“Seraphina? Wrath? Wait….Dean?” Bexley snickered. “Of course she’s connected, he’s her husband, but he doesn’t give a f+k about her.”

“Dean ain’t the real Wrath. Give me a damn break, Bexley! You’re a Delilah, not a Billionaire. There are limits to the information you get!”

“But—”

The Frontman hung up.

“F+k him!” She cussed out, receiving another call from Allison.

“Hey, sis.” She breathed out, walking to her car.

“Where you at? I’m planning a congratulations on your first sales surprise for Phina tommorow, and I need your help.” Allison said.

“Oh you called the wrong person,” Bexley frowned. “I won’t be wasting my night setting colour and icing for a chic I don’t f+k with. I hate her like shit! You better be kidding.”

“Knew you’d say that, but it wasn’t a request. Be here.” Allison stated.

Bexley ended the call angrily, whining as she made her way to her car in the busy park, but things flipped as fast as she couldn’t imagine. She witnessed an explosion right in front of her.

She instinctively dropped to her knees in the middle of two cars.

The force was so brutal it carried everyone around and flung them over. But thankfully, she’s still somehow far from the car.

The effects on her was minimal.

She looked up slowly as people began screaming, running around the park, dashing out of the spa.

Her eyes widened, cos it’s her car.

Her car was what blew up, and the fire had affected three other cars around it.

Now they’re burning so viciously, heating up the air.

“No…” Bexley ran forward a bit, mind racing… “My Cadillac!! My car!!!”

She checked her bleeping phone, and the text she saw waiting on screen made her system pause.

• Like the surprise? The explosion is a representation of how I felt when you handed me to the Rednecks.

“Saint….” Bexley muttered. “I swear to gawd I’mma kill you!!!” She screamed like she could see him.

She threw off the phone and picked a fast race towards her burning car, but not for long.

Four arms gripped her suddenly between the other cars in the park.

Before she knew it, a piece of clothe was placed on her nose, and her breaths slowed, pulse too.

She went limp and was tossed into the car by two hitmen.

While one of them drove out of the park, the second one dialled Dora.

“Got her?” Dora asked, smoky.

“We’re on our way to the ghetto—with her.” He cleared.

The car sped up.

[Hospital – Dean’s Ward]

With his head wrapped with a noticeable amount of bandage, Dean lay in bed, calm and still with slightly open eyes.

He had refused to be sedated. He blatantly said he’d endure the pain on his own. The doctors let him.

Kelly couldn’t sit.

Her heels reached every part of the ward in her parade, and the nail of her pointer is slightly in her mouth.

“I still can’t…can’t wrap my head around this shit, can’t do it.”

“Get some rest,” Dean murmured.

“Get rest?” She faced him. “I just lost my dad in the hands of your bloodthirsty brother, and now you’re in the hospital bed cos your wife hit you with a vase, and you said rest?”

“I am the one who got hit, and I’m not crying about it. Sit down!” Dean’s eyes opened fully.

“You look too cool about this shit, and it’s suspicious as f+k!” Kelly spat.

“I’m cool cos I got it!” Dean sat up, forgetting about the pain from his head. “I’ll handle her. Genevieve said they already let go of the land with her, and they have their eyes on another one. She’s got nothing on us now. Chill, you’re overreacting.”

“Seriously?” Kelly sat immediately. “Meaning, she can move out of your room now? She can stop taking your cars around? She can return to hell?”

“I told you, I got it.” Dean glared.

Kelly laughed shortly, holding his face. “Finally you gave me some good news on this bad night.”

Dean’s attention shifted to the door when someone entered.

Following his eyes, Kelly’s attention went back too.

It’s a huge man in a grey hoodie, but the hood covered his face. He entered the ward like it belonged to him and dropped a black envelope in bed.

Then, he left.

“The hell was that?” Kelly faced Dean, confusion pulling her brows.

Dean picked the envelope.

Merely seeing the big “V” carving in front of it, he knew what it meant.

“I got invited.” He muttered.

—

[Tino’s Ward]

Mrs. Hallows entered with a bowl of water and towel to wipe Tino’s body since the doctors said he wasn’t strong enough to use the bathroom.

But immediately the woman set the bowl down, he sat up.

“Tino!” Mrs. Hallows straightened. “Boy, you can’t do that yet! Your wound might reopen.”

“I’m good,” he assured, guiding his shot arm carefully with a grunt. “And I don’t need you to wipe my skin. I’m not a kid. I should have made Saint do it before he left.”

“Wow, so Saint can baby you, but I can’t?” Mrs. Hallows scoffed. “Boy, I am your mother, and he’s just a evil boy from a mysterious family. Did you hear that their parents were so in love with graveyards that they got married there, and even when they birthed their kids, they birthed them all in graveyards! They’re crows!”

“Is my dad still alive?” Tino asked the unexpected, switching topics.

Mrs. Hallows face betrayed her with a twitch of shock before she snapped back to the alpha mum mode.

“What are talking about?”

“My abductors said I was abducted and tortured and shot cos my father is the Leader of a illegal Club, and—”

“Your father is long dead, Tino.” Mrs. Hallows interrupted. “Don’t go around saying unreal stuff.”

She carried the bowl of water and left the ward, killing the chat.

Tino sighed, suspicious.

—

[Graves Memorial Estates]

Uncle Will finally allowed the burial of the two carved bodies tonight.

The workers are still on it at the main VIP graves, but Will came back to get some rest in his office.

He removed his suit, hung it, and took his seat with a breath.

Another line of incoming bodies for next month is already on his system, crawling across like snakes from different countries.

This business is lucrative, but he’s stressed out here alone.

But what can be done? All the sons of the family are uninterested.

And no one is trustable enough to hire in this office.

Too many organ hunters disguised as job seekers here.

He dragged his system closer, mind reeling with his conversation with Tobias in his Church.

No doubt, he failed in his plan to trap his bloodthirst through seminary.

He failed, woefully.

He should have known Tobias demons were too strong for five years doctrines to hold down.

Now he’s back in blood, and he knows he hasn’t even began.

The Church is still containing him for now. Once he gets out of the Church, then it’s fuckin over.

Tobias had no bounds or boundaries since he was a child.

His parents loved him and his brothers equally, but they didn’t give them attention equally.

Saint’s sickness and Dean’s brilliance got them the attention they needed.

But Tobias was the unattended one who was never seen, and he never begged for attention.

It was like he enjoyed the way he stayed unseen. That way, he had no eyes watching him, no restrictions.

No one to scold, caution, or nit-pick on new addictions.

He did what he thought was right—even the bad ones like being in love with blood scent and sight.

If Uncle Will hadn’t picked him for tutoring one gloomy day, he’d have been worse, cos even despite the tutoring, he’s as boundless as he is.

Uncle Will rubbed his temples, picking up his ringing phone.

It’s a info source.

“Yeah I had the carved bodies buried. No need going forward with the investigation…his cult appeared. Now I have to go after them fully.”

“You didn’t hear about the attack at his Church?” The source said.

“What attack?” Uncle Will stood.

—

[Savior’s Alive Church – Rectory]

The reporters are still outside, clamoring noisily, demanding answers to their questions that late in the night, weirdly.

It’s hot outside.

Inside, Tobias still refused the removal of the bullet from his arm as if he’s planning something with it.

The black clothe is still over the wound, though it’s now heavily soaked with his blood.

Only four Odds are in here—Yalda and Migos and two others.

Then Jude.

“I must say,” Yalda muttered, looking out through the window. “Valhalla fowls planned this well. The attack was the primary form, but the reporters and cops are the real attack. They want attention on you, and they achieved that.”

“They got words to the streets about university days too,” Migos added from the door. “You have to leave the Church soon, Wrath. Else, all of these church people will die in the fight, and while I don’t give a f+k about their lives, you know we don’t drag lambs into our sacred blood.”

“I know,” Tobias breathed, jaws screwed on the black couch he’s on. “But this little scratch won’t make me leave this grounds just yet. I need them to up their game, I need something bigger.”

“Is that why you’re not removing your bullet?” Jude asked.

“You never know, J.” Tobias looked up. “Yalda…”

“Wrath,” Yalda straightened.

“The reporter who started the questions about my cult? I’mma need her before daybreak. Get her, and tie her up in Hell. It’s hightime the flames had a bath.”

“I got it,” Yalda smiled.

“Xero is probably rejoicing now, considering the number of pests he got on this place.” Migos hissed, staring out of the window too.

“Xero is on top of the attack, but these reporters are clearly from a different end. The different end is working with Xero, so it still tallies.” Tobias stood from the couch, his massive figure towering.

“Different end? You mean, the Redds?” Yalda raised a lid.

“It’s crystal-clear,” Migos shrugged. “They have no idea what’s coming to drown them. Work is in progress.”

“I trust the New Meat to do a good job though,” Yalda smirked. “I mean, she might not be as dull as they think.”

“We’re gonna have to see about that, Yalda.” Tobias checked his arm.

“Damn, you want me to kill everyone outside?” Migos asked.

“No,” Tobias responded. “It’s been quiet here lately. Let the noise persist till 12, then I can go out and have a word or two with them. They’re fun.”

Nun Estelle entered the Rectory through the hidden backdoor, and Jude didn’t wait.

He cocked his gun.

Estelle froze, raising his hands.

“J!” Tobias cautioned.

Jude lowered his arm.

“Too overambitious, dude. Thirsty as f+k.” Migos commented.

“Hmm-mm?” Tobias faced Estelle. “Why the f+k are you in my face?”

“It’s Ruth,” Estelle replied breathlessly. “The newly married lady from the Church is here, and Ruth has been trying to—”

Tobias shoved Estelle out of the way before she could finish.

The poor nun landed on the floor, breaking her wrist.

“Ahhh!!” She let out a scream, but Migos’s gun nozzle entered her mouth, shutting her up.

She froze, again.

“Shhh,” Migos placed his finger on his lip, slowly.

Estelle nodded more than ten times.

—

Tobias took the backdoor too—away from the death-seeking reporters.

He made his quiet way to the Church. Even before he arrived, he could already hear Ruth’s voice.

“Swear in God’s name that you weren’t in his Rectory days ago, getting touched sexually…”

Tobias broke into the circle, and lots of the workers shifted away fast when they saw him.

Seraphina was already so at the edge of losing her patience and snapping on Ruth, but his arrival switched things for worse.

“Are you sexually starved?” His voice broke through the heat.

Ruth turned, witnessing him with a slight tilt of her eyes.

“I just asked if you’re sexually starved, Ruthie.” He added, making sure his eyes never left hers.

“I saw it! I was in your Rectory!” Ruth claimed boldly.

“Yeah, under my bed, naked, and waiting for my c+vk. Did you miss the sensations the piercing gives to your dry arse? The coldness of the damn ring?” Tobias’s words came out unpracticed, but still so damn sleek and intentionally mocking.

Ruth shifted.

“Since we’re calling out sluts now. I f+ked you in the hockey players bathroom thrice, and once in the general library. I f+ked you in my bedroom once, but not in my bed, it was on the floor. You asked for it on your parents matrimonial bed once too, and I remember cumming on their bedsheets. Once, I was bored, so I held you down while two guys filled you—one in your c+nt and the other in your arse. You watched me, not them, and you came like a whore in the hotel, you cried…you begged for mine, but I never gave it. You fell sick cos you missed the f+ck!”

“Tobias…” Ruth swallowed, her voice breaking without her permission.

“We calling people out, aren’t we? Are you tired of the damn game already? It’s your turn, play your cards, puta. Play the fuckin’ cards with you.”

Silence.

There was total, deafening silence.

Even Ruth couldn’t feel her breaths of the pulse on her skin. She felt ice building inside her as the eyes of all the workers fell on her, their mouths wide, and eyes judging, shocked.

Half of them were staring shockingly at Tobias too, but he doesn’t look like he’s affected by it.

He’s like a damn rock, impenetrable.

Ruth folded her fists, tight.

Tobias took Seraphina by the wrist, and she readily followed.

With eased chest, she followed.

He didn’t stop, didn’t look back at her, didn’t say a word till they arrived at the Rectory, taking the back.

They got in, and immediately the door closed behind, Seraphina did the only thing in her mind.

Her arms opened when he moved, and his body walked right into her open arms. Her arms wrapped him up, squeezing him to herself.

It’s a really tight hug.

Tobias stopped, brain ticking, lashes lowering, eyes haunting.

Getting hugged sure feels weird.

It’s his first time, and he likes the weirdness. He likes the eeriness.

He didn’t move. He just stayed there, letting her have her moment, but it wasn’t for long.

Seraphina pulled away, looking up at his face worriedly.

“I got so f+kin worried when I heard the news, I had to come and see for myself.” She said firmly.

“And now?” Tobias stayed blank but with a raise of his left brow.

Seraphina’s eyes went to his tied arm. She had to stand on her toes to get clearer access to it.

Seeing the black cloth tied around it, she hesitated, then looked back at his eyes hovering above her.

“May I?” She asked in a small whisper.

His silence meant yes, so she went ahead and untied the clothe.

She saw the swell, the bloody skin, the open flesh around it.

It looks bad—very bad.

“Can I remove it for you?” She asked, another small whisper as she looked up at his eyes. The blueness crashed against her eyes.

“No!” Migos’s heavy voice broke into the area as he appeared like a hyena, displeased. “He left it there for a reason. You aren’t removing shit. What are you even doing here?”

“Yes.” A different reply came.

Husky. Thick. Final.

It’s Tobias’s voice.

“Wrath?” Migos frowned, surprised.

“You want it in another language?” Tobias’s glare seared him. “Si,”

Migos stopped midway, obeying.

Seraphina looked up at Tobias. A warm, unintended smile curved her pink lips.

TBC.
