“Ok, so like, everyone’s mad here,” Saint scoffed behind, resting his elbow on Tino’s shoulder. “The level of craziness only differs.”

Tino shook him off with a serious stare. “Are you liking even this?” He pointed. “Dawg, this is a friggin Church, and that is a Priest! That other guy is a Church Brother judging by what he’s wearing, but they’re playing with guns like it’s chess?”

Saint gave him a bored look. “Damn, grow up, man. I told you what he is, so why act like a empty-head when you already know?”

“Shit, y’all are sick-heads in this place,” Tino muttered, spooked.

Kelly definitely didn’t expect her game to turn on her that fast.

She didn’t expect someone else to act as a shield for that f+ker. Her finger lowered from under the trigger, very slow, and her neck turned to look back at the person who dared.

Seeing it’s a Church Brother, her surprise turned to shock.

“What the….f+k!”

“Are you ok, Father?” Jude asked, paying Kelly no face.

Tobias is still stuck with Dean—eye-strangling him with his gun still intact on Dean’s throat.

Kelly might have lowered her gun, but it’s not his cup of incense. He doesn’t feel whatever that means.

He only sees the first person who dared to get in his way this morning. The first m+therf+ker—Dean.

Dean again.

“Getting in my way after I plucked a disrespectful arrow from the wall tops the list of the fastest ways to die by my hands this morning, and m+therf+ker, you had to insert yourself, in front of me,” He raged.

“You never changed. Evil still lurks around you tasteless punk!” Dean shot, his Adam’s apple bobbing beneath the gun nozzle.

“Bitch, I fear no evil. The shadows and the valley are mine! And evil don’t lurk around me, m+therf+ker, I am the evil you need to fear!” Tobias slipped his finger under the trigger, the rage widening in his head.

His eyes were bloodshot, raw with a savage hunger for blood.

In his second hand, he white-knuckled the arrow so hard it bent.

“I should have started suspecting when you donated billions at the Charity dinner,” Dean chuckled, looking like he doesn’t even fear the gun on top of his throat.

Tobias pointed a gun at him too many times in college, but he never shot.

The only time he hurt him brutally was the cutlass slash he gave him on his back, so till now, Dean believes nothing can make Tobias pull the trigger on him.

He believes no matter how heartless and bloody Tobias is, their twin bond will never give him the push to pull the trigger on him, ever.

Tobias lowered his hand, ready to play a little bit.

“You saw my charity donation money weight, and you decided to send in messy Rednecks here, in my Rectory, to come steal my money?”

“Cos we both know you stole the money too from the operations you go for your damn cult, and what’s wrong if I decide to steal a little bit? Not like you deserve any good thing existing. You don’t possess the brains to manage goodness, Tobias. It showed in school cos you never had A in your results!” Dean laughed.

Tobias decided it was time to stop the plat and use the gun.

Spinning around, he aimed for Kelly who’s still with Jude.

Blank-faced, he shot Kelly on the shoulder—beside the line of her bra.

“F+k!!! F+k! Ahhhh!!!”

The gun she held fell from her. Her heels twisted, entering the soft wet ground as her blood flowed.

“Kell!” Dean took off, racing to her side the second the gunshot echoed.

Kelly was about to crumple to the ground when Dean reached her.

He caught her with both hands, her blood soaking through his shirt fast.

“Dean…..Dean!!!” She screamed again, head dangling. “I think I’m gonna die! I can’t feel my arm!!! Dean I can’t…feel…ohhh!!”

“Kell, Kell you have to keep your eyes open! Keep your eyes open!” Dean tried to stabilize her first.

All the while, Saint lingered at the back, a smile playing on his lips as he savored the beautiful morning and pleasant weather.

Tino shook his head, swallowing hard as he stared at Tobias, who stood in his vestments like Satan himself, stoking the flames of the abyss.

“No, this ain’t normal. I’m outta here…” He moved, rushing off.

Saint is too into his fun to even notice his absence.

Now, Tobias is with the bold couple, standing over them like a fallen angel, except that he’s missing the black wings and horns.

“You pointed a gun at my head? What a whack-a+s move, but at least it gave you the second gift from me. First was a cutlass on your head on the night of the faculty dinner, and second is this bullet,” he touched the bullet hole on her shoulder.

“Ahhh!!!” She cried out.

Dean punched Tobias hand away.

Tobias swung his bloody finger, amusement slithered through him, wicked and patient.

“You will pay for this, Tobias, trust me. You always pay. You paid for the slash you gave us with your Empire. And this bullet you put in her? You’ll pay with something higher. I don’t play with Kelly, and I’ll f+k you up.”

“Rich,” Tobias nodded. “Mmkay, I’ll wait for the payback you’re so f+kin sure about. I love when you play yourself, Dean. And the Empire? When it’s time for the odds to play, they’ll come to play in your face.”

Dean lifted Kelly unto his arms, carrying her to the park with a run.

Till he moved away from sight, Tobias stayed where he stayed, just staring at the gun he held.

“Are you ok, Father?” Jude repeated the question he asked a while ago.

“As you can see,” Tobias responded. “Prayers postponed till noon. Now, I have a business to take care of.”

He moved, finally.

“Toby! We need to talk!” Saint followed up fast.

“Ain’t talking shit to anyone yet. Not now, at all.” Tobias cleared, not even stopping for a beat.

“But it’s about Uncle Will! That old man is going after your cult, and we know that will never end well. Heard he brought examiners to check the carved body. The body is still not buried! It’s damn risky!”

Tobias stopped, turning with a side of his body. “I don’t give a f+k what Uncle William does with his free time, Saint. I don’t give a fû+k who dies and who lives. I don’t care about possibilities or probabilities. He’s old enough to take care of his shit, and if he ends up getting caught by the odds, then he’s old enough to die.”

“Toby!” Saint frowned.

But Tobias back view was the answer he got as Tobias turned and went for the mountain way.

Jude went past Saint, following him.

“Hey,” Saint hollered.

Jude looked back.

“How the fûck did you get entangled with my brother?” Saint questioned.

“He’s your brother,” Jude shrugged. “Ask him yourself.”

Then, he followed Tobias till they both disappeared out of sight.

“Asshole,” Saint muttered, scoffing. “I wanna slam his head.”

[Nuns Convent]

Ruth went to the Church gate minutes ago, and when she emerged back at the convent, she held a small package to her chest like her treasure.

As she walked past the passage, the other Nuns tried to strike a conversation, but she ignored all.

The cancelled morning prayer made the passage full, so she had a hard time trying to get past.

“Oh no,” she mumbled when she walked into Nun Grace.

She wanted to ignore her like the others, but of course it didn’t work on Grace. She obstructed her with genuinely concerned eyes.

“You’ve been avoiding everyone these days, Ruth. You’re either in your room, or standing alone in the passage, or nowhere to be found like you disappeared with the wind.”

“You have nothing to be worried about, Grace.” Ruth smiled deceptively, impatient to get to her room and unbox what’s with her. “I’ve just been under the weather, but I’m fine now.” She nodded.

“But, you look—”

“Grace,” Ruth interrupted. “I said I’m perfectly fine, just let it go.”

And with that, she stepped away, leaving Grace standing.

She slipped out of the passage to her room and let out a sigh.

She dropped the package on her bed and unboxed it.

It turned out to be a series of boxes containing jewelries—n+pple rings.

Back then, she pierced her n+pples, and Tobias liked it. He liked sucking on them. Maybe he just needs to see the rings on her again.

Maybe that’s what he needs to turn him on again.

She stripped, stood in front of her prayer mirror and began fixing the rings on her n+pples.

Her excitement must have made her forgot to lock the door cos Nun Estelle burst in unannounced.

Ruth impulsively dragged her bedspread over her chest go cover up. Yet, Estelle saw the rings.

“Ruth?” Her stare froze. “Ring on your sacred body?”

“Shut up, Estelle!” Ruth fixed her a hard stare.

“Watch me!” Estelle smiled, raising her voice as she went for the door…”Nuns of the convent!! Ruth has fallen off from holiness and is fixing rings on her—”

Her announcement met a dead end once she opened the door.

Nun Ruth threw the incense ash residue glass at her head. The glass fell in a spray of shattered pieces.

A little blood flowed out of Estelle’s head before she went down unconsciously.

In one swift motion, Ruth pulled her in and shut the door.

She pushed Estelle under her bed, making sure she’s well covered.

“Stay here till you regain consciousness, and I’ll know what to do with you, fool.” She inhaled.

She walked back to the mirror, stood naked in front of it and glowered.

“Yeah, my little faith is gone, but who cares? As far as it gets me my only wish in this life…”

—

[Redd Estate]

Acosta sat in the middle of the Redd wolves who look like they’re ready to tear him apart with their claws.

Since he said the statement about not letting anyone use his daughter for public lies, they’ve been looking at him like he’s smaller than that statement. Like how dare he utter a disagreement for a family that makes sure he stays alive always.

The same family that makes sure his own family stays watered and fine and good? They couldn’t understand.

While everyone sat, Marley stood beside the penthouse heater, hands pocketed, glasses balanced.

“You might wanna utter that statement again, Acosta Simpson.” He said with a curl of disdain.

“Peach is too young to get involved with the insanity of this family. If you need someone to lie, I’ll do it.” Acosta emphasized as gently as he could.

“And what makes you think the public will buy your lies?” Genevieve asked with a chuckle of mockery.

She held a coffee mug on her right hand and the saucer on her left.

“He thinks he’s important,” Dora laughed, playing with her hair.

“My daughter won’t face the public to tell a lie about a girl who did nothing to y’all! Seraphina did nothing!” Acosta stood abruptly.

Kimmy shot up from her cushion, climbed the center table closest to Acosta, and smacked his face with intended hardness which made Acosta’s cheek colour up.

“Kimmy?” He looked up, shock rattling him to the bones once more.

“You were out since yesterday, you never picked calls. You left your daughter and I all alone at our floor, and now you return to act like a protective father for Peach? No, Costa. My daughter will start getting useful for the family, and you won’t stop that! She’s climbing that podium at the press-con to lie!”

“You’re really insufferable, Kimmy,” Acosta nodded, eyes heavy with pain.

“I’ll do whatever mama says,” Peach said from her seat.

All heads turned in her direction.

“That’s it,” Genevieve smiled.

“She should have been my second daughter in place of that cursed girl.” Marley grinned, satisfied.

“Well, you better climb the podium and tell the lie well.” Dora said.

“I hate that I have to tell a lie that’ll favor you,” Peach jeered. “But what can I do? It’s a win for the family.”

“Peach,” Acosta went ahead to her side, squatting in front of the girl. He held her arms. “Peach, you can’t taint your childhood with—”

“Do you even love me, dad?” Peach asked out of the blues.

“What are you saying!” Acosta’s face knotted confusedly.

“Mom does everything to keep me up in the family, but all you do is disappear and appear to try to ruin it all. I’m so mad at you I don’t wanna talk to you!” Peach shook him off.

Marley got between them, blocking her from Acosta.

“Get back to the construction site, and oversee the giant hotel today. I mean…all day. It’s not meant to be over till 12 midnight. And for what you did today, the funds to your parents will be suspended for a month. Now, leave.” He ordered.

With burning face, Acosta gave him a caged stare, then he looked over at Kimmy who’s still on the table.

Kimmy threw her face away.

He looked at Dora.

Dora stuck her tongue out at him.

Peach is behind Marley. He can’t see her face.

Genevieve is still sipping coffee.

Acosta got up and walked out like an abandoned orphan.

“Press conference at exactly noon,” Marley announced. “Everyone has to prepare for the lies, and Kimmy…” He faced her on the table.

“Teach Peach what to say.”

“Trust me, daddy.” Kimmy smiled with malicious joy.

—

When Saint didn’t see Tino’s bike in front of the Church earlier, he knew he left cos of fright.

He decided on going over to his place to mock his cowardice.

As he sat upright on his bike, riding swiftly like a pony, he wondered how long it had been since seeing Bexley. That girl should surely miss him.

Not missing him would be a sin.

He’s the first guy to ever touch her inappropriately in public.

It was also intentional.

“She definitely is still thinking about me. How is she gonna retaliate for that? Do I have to bring myself to her for my punishment?” He asked himself as he stopped the bike in front of Tino’s house.

He yanked off his helmet, shaking his head to fix his hair.

But it ended in a slam—a blow to the back of his head.

The helmet fell away,

His body followed, hitting the ground with a thud right beside his bike.

He was dragged into a truck by two girls—Bexley and a friend.

“Are the guys ready?” Bexley asked, fingering her hair..

“Yeah, too ready.” The other girl popped her bubble gum.

“They’re gonna have to f+k this punk very hard in his ass. He has to feel what it’s like to be violated.” Bexley said as the car vanished down the street.

A minute later, Tino opened the front door, stepping out suspiciously.

He looked around.

“I definitely heard movements.” He muttered, brows joining.

—

[An Hospital]

Kelly is still unconscious.

She was put under intensive care immediately Dean brought her in.

According to the doctors, if the shoulder is not properly taken care of, she might lose it forever.

Dean sat beside her in the ICU, silent like a overfed animal. Just that this one is overfed with fury.

Fury for Tobias.

Tobias is a f+ker who can even do his dirty works while being a Priest, but him? He’s the CEO of WIE.

He’s the richest and the most respected CEO in the city.

He can’t pull dangerous stunts, or it’ll affect the empire deeply.

Unless he adds capable people to his payroll for this job.

But who’s capable enough to handle that bastard except the club.

Valhalla Club.

He heard secrets about how they’re the only bloody enemies of Odium Cult who can actually stand toe to toe with that asshole.

He needs them.

More reason why he has to become a member of the club.

But will he really be able to commit the seven sins?

He has heard one of the sins from Marley. Marley said he’d have to kill someone dearest to his heart.

And that’s only the start.

He has no idea how deep the remaining six sins would run.

He pinched himself, looking at Kelly with mixed feelings.

He quickly got up before the feels would turn to something else.

He picked his phone and connected himself to his room camera.

Of course he has a camera in his room even before Seraphina moved into the room.

He clicked on footage, she came on screen. She’s still in the room, making her crotchets. Just that…

She wore nothing but her underwear—the p+nty and br@.

That’s all.

He clenched his jaws, fingers curling into balls as his eyes refusing to move away from her chest.

“F+k… Dean” He cussed himself with a little groan.

“Dean St. Graves?” A unfamiliar voice by the door made him look up to the face of a Redneck.

Dean walked over to him with squeezed brows…”Why are you here?” He asked calmly.

“Don’t act like you don’t know where the disappearance of our ten missing members came from. You know your brother is the one behind the process!” The gangster pointed.

“Lower your voice, for your own good.” Dean remained calm.

“I can’t stay as calm as you, CEO. Ten of our gangsters suddenly went missing after five of them went for a raid at your brother’s Church?”

“And what are you gonna do?” Dean inserted his hands in his pockets.

“Tell me what else befits a bastard like him besides death?” The gangster bit out, moustache stretching. “He doesn’t care about you, but he cares about your younger brother.”

“Do not touch Saint, man.” Dean’s calmed dimmed.

“We will touch him, and you will calm down like you’ve been doing. He’s gonna pay for the ten missing members!” The gangster threatened.

—

[Savior’s Alive Church – Mountain]

It had been an hour now.

Sixty minutes of dragging, suffocating torment.

Sixty minutes of cries breaking into nothing but echoes.

Sixty minutes of begging that landed nowhere.

Tobias held a really small axe with bloodstained blade.

The owner of the blood is guessable.

Loaner Boss.

For the past one hour, Tobias has sliced his flesh in four places.

The four places were enough to torture him physically and mentally.

He looks like he’s already begging for death with his eyes.

But he’s not pitied.

Grimm is with them, tongue out. The dog licked it’s lips in relish.

Tobias drove the axe into Loaner Boss’s back again, tearing a heavy piece of flesh and flinging it aside.

Grimm seized the flesh at once, chewing with a sickening calm and licking blood from his teeth while the man’s screams rose rawly again.

If screams could break stone, the mountain would have split apart.

It’s worse cos he was made to watch how the dog ate his flesh.

Tobias raised the axe once more and brought it down on his leg.

He tore another flesh free and tossed it to the waiting dog as if it were nothing more than garbage—discarded without thought, without remorse.

Jude stumbled back and rushed faraway to vomit fluid.

Tobias turned slowly, giving him a weird stare.

“Well, J. I deserve an explanation for this lukewarm shit. You are the same person who was pressing a gun to Kelly’s head and shit. Now, you’re vomiting cos I’m simply feeding my damn dog?” He shrugged.

Jude wiped his mouth, straightening. “My parents told me before they died that I must do anything to get rich whatever the source might be, so after their death, I became a pickpocket in Texas and…I once became a part of a street gang who taught me the use of a gun, but i changed my mind the night before our first operation cos I was scared of being caught, so I left the gang.”

“I know all of that shit, J. I looked into your life before choosing you. What I’m asking is why the f+k are you vomiting at the sight of a human flesh getting cut?” Tobias questioned.

“I haven’t seen it before. It’s my first time, but I promise to adjust.” Jude nodded, wiping his mouth again.

“You better do,” Tobias voice was hard as iron. “Because after this one dies, I’ll have him buried near the Brothers’ Quarters. Close enough that you’ll have to pass him every day on your way to church.” He said it like it was nothing more than routine.

“You’re diabolical,” Jude came back, staring fearfully at him.

“Thank you,” Tobias let a composed smile settle on his lips, cold.

He cut flesh from Loaner Boss’s arm.

His screams erupted again.

“You haven’t even seen diabolical, J. When you see diabolical, you’ll do more than vomit.”

Jude looked at him, uncertain.

“Who are you?” He asked slowly. “Can’t even find anything online.”

“Quit searching, you won’t find a damm thing.” Tobias . “You’ll know what I want you to know, soon, but don’t expect immaculate. I’m the opposite of that shit.”

“That’s obvious,” Jude smiled. “But about your brother’s wife Seraphina, she’s…. who?”

At the mention of her name, Tobias felt his c+k heating.

Shit, not again.

“She’s who she is.” He responded steadily, as if he hid bloody secrets under each word.

Jude went silent, staring at the arrow Tobias held in his other hand. He wants to ask where it’s from.

But maybe not now. Tobias seems to be in a better mood now.

He won’t muddle that.

Tobias cut another flesh from Loaner Boss’s shoulder.

By now, his life was already slipping away from his chest.

He couldn’t scream high again.

—

Meanwhile, by the Church park, Uncle Will’s car drove in.

He came down looking like he’s ready to break the ground with his feet.

Tobias sent the second carved body to the Memorial Estates this morning, and he received it with shock.

Second body?

He concluded he had to come, so he did, planning confrontation.

He made his way to the Rectory.

—

[Press-con Podium – Noon]

Reporters are always packed and poised for the Redd family briefing.

Over thirty of them gained authorized access to podium grounds to cover the press conference.

Cameras look like a swarm of pale bees behind the room, shuttering and blinking waiting for it.

Different theories.

Different guesses.

No one knows the reason for this press-con. They’re all on their tip toes, anxious as hell.

When the family entered the hall, the camera shutter exploded, nearly blinding them with too much light.

They look washed out and pale.

Peach walked straight to the podium while the rest of the family remained seated in the front rows.

Kimmy beside Dora, both with expectant looks of villains.

Genevieve beside Marley. While Marley’s chin is raised, Genevieve stared at Peach with hostile encouragement in her eyes.

Peach stood on a chair before the towering VAS.

Every eyes locked onto her.

Silence fell, leaving the podium in all cameras all flashes.

Peach felt eerily special.

All of these people are here to hear and record what she says?

Too special.

Even Kimmy smiled proudly, muttering “that’s my girl right there.”

Peach cleared her throat, breaking the asphyxiating silence.

“I know y’all are used to Redd family success press-cons, but this is different,” she nodded, speaking too well for a ten year old.

“Seraphina, the disowned child of the family is a thief.” She continued,

The cameras followed the statement with more blinking reflections in her eyes, demanding more from her.

“The crochets she’s working on? That same design was Dora’s idea when Seraphina was still at our Estate. Dora used to describe her upcoming desigs for us before it even came out. When Seraphina left, she stole it and made it hers to get back at the family for disowning her. Seraphina is a thief” Peach continued eloquently.

And the news carried it immediately.

—

[Dean’s Estate – Dinning]

Seraphina decided to finally take a break for the sake of her fingers.

She made fifteen pieces already, and at the end of today, she intends to have made more than twenty.

She got fruits and yogurt in the blender and made herself a cup of smoothie. She cut a piece of cake for herself to go along with it.

With a tired smile, she settled on the dinning to eat, but she thought of sending a text first.

She picked up her phone, clicked ‘Father’ and began typing…

• Five to go. I’m ’bout to smash your challenge to the dirt.

She sent with a bigger smile, tiredness floating off.

Before she could drop her phone, she received a long, loud DM alert which made her mind race.

What’s going on?

She didn’t commit a crime.

Why is her DM so full?

She clicked Instagram, and that was it. Her whole life shattered.

No. Shattered would be a kind word. Her life drowned and left the surface of the earth.

Cos the message in her DM?

There are tons of them

Tons of messages, and each of them called her a thief, tagged her to a particular press-con video.

When she clicked on the press conference video and saw Peach speaking publicly like that, her eyes blurred her screen. She got a momentary heart seizure.

The video is on the news.

It’s everywhere. Every screen.

Also, the people who ordered from her crochets already withdrew their orders. Everyone of them.

They withdrew.

“No, no, no!” she screamed, clutching her head, her breath coming in sharp, broken bursts. “This shit can’t be happening… I….. I….. put so much work into this… I did…..did everything right,” she choked out.

Her voice cracked as her stammer bled raw emotions into her words.

Her fingers dug into her scalp like she was trying to hold her thoughts together, shaking violently as she struggled to breathe. “I’ve… I’ve….been working on this for so long…my…my night….hours, minutes, everything… I gave it….gave it everything…” Her voice rose and fell between rage and disbelief. “I….I can’t take…I can’t…. take…this….”

Her stammer got worse she bit her tongue unintentionally, the horror of her sabotage glaring at her.

“Damnit!!” She screamed, shaking, confused, going crazy.

She picked up her phone, deciding she wasn’t just gonna get sabotaged and ruined like this.

She went to saved videos, and right there, sat the video she made when Marley shot the former gatekeeper of the Estate. She made the video secretly, and no one knew cos they think she’s the dumbass anyways.

She’s going to put this out and ruin that family too.

She ran out of the house in her short afternoon gown, jumped in her Lexus. Her phone cried as she began driving out of the estate.

It’s Dora.

She picked up.

Dora’s scornful laughter filled the line, rumbling through the speaker.

“Do you like the incurable burn you got, bi+ch? Do you like it? Say it to my ears and let me know you like it!” She laughed derisively again.

“Whore, you have no idea what’s about to hit everyone of you snakes in that family!” Seraphina spat, driving rough. “You have no damn idea what I’m about to do!”

“What would you possibly do, Talentless Frump? What!!” Dora screamed in mockery.

Seraphina’s phone fell to the car floor when a destructive force met her front windshield, breaking the glasses and distributing them everywhere including her mouth.

She held tight to the steering, but she still lost control of the car as another destructive hit met the car windows by the left.

Another one by the right, and the final smash at the back.

Every single board of glass was broken. The car became shitty in those few seconds. Seraphina’s face received few glass hit, too.

She couldn’t even look up cos her neck hurts already, but dimly, she could see the people surrounding the car—people who destroyed the car.

They’re all thick men who look like bouncers trained in hell.

Snake tattoos shadowed their skins, they wrote Serpent on their brows and wore leather clothes with true snake-scale designs.

One of them dragged Seraphina out roughly through one of the broken car windows.

Her laps was torn by the glass.

She resisted, but she was set straight with a heavy slap from one of them. The callused, think palm met her cheek like a detonation.

She fell back, body slumping on the car.

She passed out, blood trailing heavily out of her nostrils.

“Leader would want her p+sy. She’s damn clean and full.” One of them with diamond grills on his teeth commented.

“Yeah, you know how that shit works.” Another one with dyed hair laughed crookedly.

Seraphina was thrown into their car—a black limousine.

The men jumped in the car with her, and the car tore into the distance mechanically, gone within seconds.

TBC.
