Violet was studying with Mabel in the library, her expression turned focused, her eyes fixed on her books. Mabel’s expression turned casual, her eyes sparkling.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you, V asked about you,” Mabel said, and Violet’s expression turned surprised, her eyebrows raising.

“Really? How is he?” Violet asked, her expression turned curious, her eyes inquiring.

Mabel’s expression turned matter-of-fact, her eyes calm. “Well, he asked if he can get your number and I told him I will seek your permission first,” she said, and Violet hesitated, her expression turned uncertain, her eyes darting.

“Hmm, ok, you can give him if he asks you,” Violet said, her expression turned resigned, her eyes cast downward.

Mabel’s expression turned warning, her eyes serious. “Ok, but just so you know, my brother is a flirt, don’t fall for his tricks, he doesn’t stay with one lady,” she said, and Violet chuckled, her expression turned amused, her eyes sparkling.

“Ok, I will, don’t worry I am not interested in your brother, I am just being friendly with him, he is not my idea man,” Violet said, her expression turned confident, her eyes firm.

Mabel’s expression turned curious, her eyebrows raising. “Really? Who is your idea man?” she asked, and Violet thought for a while, her expression turned reflective, her eyes cast downward.

“I guess a man that takes very good care of me, treats me like a queen, always stays to listen to my problems whether it’s boring or not, I want a man that can love me for who I am and not the one that will abandon me when things turn bad one day, he will stick with me through trials and difficulties,” Violet said, her expression turned sincere, her eyes shining.

Mabel’s expression turned impressed, her eyes wide with admiration. “I thought you were going for looks and wealthy men like your Dad,” she said, and Violet’s expression turned dismissive, her eyes rolling.

“No, I just want a man that cares and nurtures me like a mother will do for her child,” she said, and then reflected on her family who abandoned her, her expression turned sad, her eyes welling up with tears. She shook off the feeling, her expression turned determined, her eyes firm.

Mabel’s expression turned reassuring, her eyes soft. “Don’t worry, that right man will come for you very soon,” she said, and they smiled at each other, their expressions turned warm, their eyes sparkling.

After school hours, Violet came to work, and the whole staff was relieved to see her, their expressions turned happy, their eyes sparkling. Violet wondered why they were so excited to see her, her expression turned curious, her eyebrows raising.

“Where have you been? We were worried?” the 1st worker said, his expression turned concerned, his eyes inquiring.

Violet’s expression turned apologetic, her eyes cast downward. “Um, something came up, is the manager around, I want to…,” she got interrupted.

Sly’s expression turned angry and concerned, his eyes blazing. “Where have you been? And why couldn’t I reach you?” he interrupted from behind, and all the workers maintained themselves, their faces bowed to the ground.

Violet turned to see the anger and concern on his face, her expression turned surprised, her eyes widening. “Um, am sorry sir, I got sick and…,” she got interrupted again.

Sly’s expression turned worried, his eyes filled with concern. He rushed to her, caressing and checking her body, and Violet was surprised, her expression turned shocked, her eyes wide.

“What happened? Why were you sick? Did you go to the hospital?” he asked curiously, his expression turned sincere, his eyes soft.

Violet wiggled out of his arms slowly, her expression turned uncomfortable, her eyes cast downward. “Um, yes sir, it was just a little fever, but I am fine now,” she said, smiling nervously.

Sly’s expression turned concerned, his eyes filled with worry. “Are you sure, you are fine?” he asked sincerely, and Violet nodded, her expression turned reassuring, her eyes calm.

“I’m fine,” she said, and Sly’s expression turned firm, his eyes serious.

“Ok, you are taking a day off for three days starting from today,” he said, and Violet was surprised, her expression turned shocked, her eyes wide.

She quickly declined, her expression turned determined, her eyes firm. “No, you don’t have to, am fine now,” she said.

Sly’s expression turned gentle, his eyes soft. “I don’t care, I am worried about you,” he said, and Violet’s expression turned avoiding, her eyes cast downward.

“Seriously, I am fine now,” she said, and Sly smiled, his expression turned warm, his eyes sparkling.

He caressed her hair, his look turned soothing, his eyes gentle. “Don’t stress yourself too much, ok?” he said, and walked away, leaving Violet staring after him, her expression turned thoughtful, her eyes reflective.

Violet let out a deep sigh, her face turned puzzled, her eyebrows furrowing, as she stared after Sly, wondering about his sudden concern for her well-being.

Some minutes after, Shawn was getting ready to leave his office when suddenly Sly barged into his office angrily, his look turned furious, his eyes blazing. Shawn was surprised, his expression turned shocked, his eyes widening.

“What the hell! How dare you barge into my office like that?” Shawn said unfriendly, his face turned annoyed, his eyebrows furrowing. Sly smirked, his look turned confident, his eyes glinting.

“What? Does it piss you off?” he smirked, and Shawn’s face turned irritated, his eyes flashing.

“What do you want?” Shawn asked, his look turned firm, his voice commanding. Sly’s face turned menacing, his eyes narrowing.

“To warn you, if anything happens to her again or I see a scratch on her body, I won’t think twice to put a bullet straight to your head,” he threatened,

Shawn scoffed, his look turned amused, his eyes rolling. “Who are you talking about? And what gave you the right to threaten me?” he asked, his face turned curious, his eyebrows raising.

Sly smirked, his expression turned arrogant, his eyes glinting. “Don’t mess with me, Shawn, I am not the Sly you once knew, you don’t know me too well,” he said, and adjusted his suit, his face turned confident, his eyes sparkling. “Well, just so you know, I will be coming to take my woman back from you, and I am ready to pay times two of the amount her family owes you,” he said, and Shawn was confused, his eyebrows furrowing.

“What woman?” he asked, his expression turned inquiring, his eyes narrowing. Sly’s face turned triumphant, his eyes glinting.

“Violet,” he said, and Shawn was surprised, his expression turned shocked, his eyes widening. Sly chuckled, his face turned amused, his eyes sparkling. “Are you surprised? You don’t have to, I know her grandmother sold her to you two years ago, and just so you know, she was betrothed to me since she was a child, and now it’s time to bring her back to where she belongs,” he smirked, his expression turned confident, his eyes glinting. “Be expecting me, Shawn,” he added, and walked away, leaving Shawn in surprise, his face turned stunned, his eyes wide with shock.

Along the driveway, Shawn was taken aback by what Sly said, his expression turned shocked, his eyes wide with surprise. He took his phone and dialed a number, his expression turned determined, his eyes focused.

It rang for a while before the person answered from the other end. “I need you to get me information concerning Silvester and his deal with Violet’s parents, I need the update first thing tomorrow morning,” he said on the phone, his face turned serious, his voice firm. He hung up and was still lost in thought, his expression turned contemplative, his eyes cast downward.

Some hours later, that same night, Violet was hunted down by a nightmare, she was terrified, her eyes wide with fear. She was sweating and panting, her chest heaving.

In her dream, she saw her parents dragging her to Sly, she was wearing a wedding gown, Sly face twisted in an evil grin. His men aimed a gun at her and her family, and Violet jerked up from the dream, her eyes turned horrified, her eyes wide with fear.

She quickly flipped off the blanket and rushed out of the room, her expression turned frantic, her eyes darting. She got to Shawn’s door and knocked consistently, her face turned desperate, her eyes pleading.

Shawn opened the door, he was confused, his eyebrows furrowing. Violet rushed in quickly, like someone who was being chased by a ghost, her expression turned terrified, her eyes wide with fear.

She climbed onto the bed and covered herself under the blanket, turned relieved, her eyes closing. Shawn was confused, his expression turned perplexed, his eyebrows furrowing.

He looked around and even went to her room to see what was after her, but there was nothing, his eyes turned puzzled, and narrowing.
