I walked out of the kitchen with the cup of water in my hands.
“Here,have this.” I said smiling as I sat.
She nodded smiling and took the water sipping it slowly.
“So…” I said waiting for her to talk.
“So, about the lunatic that poisoned me, is there any progress in getting the person?” She asked and I sighed.
“Klaus that we all thought was the culprit wasn’t present at the party that day. So he isn’t the one.” I said and she sighed.
“Then who the hell did it? I am scared that I can’t even step out of the house, thinking someone would attack me.” She said and I held her hand kissing it.
“You will be fine. We will sort this out.” I said and she nodded.
“Though I have a suspect.” She said and I furrowed my brows.
“Who? That’s great news. We could start investigating from there.” I said happily.
“I suspect Danielle.” She said and I arced my brows.
“What? No it’s not Danielle. She would never do that.” I said.
“What makes you so sure Isaac? She is having issues with my mother. They are enemies, and she may want to get back at her by killing me.” She said.
“Trust me she would never do that. If she was the one, she wouldn’t come to the party and spend time with us.” I said.
“Isaac why are you so sure? Do you know something and you aren’t telling me?” She asked and I shook my head.
“Of course not. I know nothing, but Danielle can’t be the culprit.” I said and she sighed.
“Well since we are yet to know what happened between them, she remains my suspect.” She said and I sighed nodding.
I wanted to talk again when a call came into my phone. I picked it up and I saw Mom Calling.
“It’s Mom.” I said picking up the call.
Hey Mom
Hey Isaac,how is Diana?
Fine, she is eating right now.
That’s good. Please I need you at the shop as soon as possible. I really need help here.
Okay Mom. But what of Diana? She would be left alone at home.
Please tell her to stay indoors. You won’t stay here long.
Okay Mom. See you soon
I hung up and looked at Diana.
“What’s going on?” She asked.
“I am needed back at the shop.” I said and she nodded.
“Go on. I will be fine.” She said Smiling.
“Promise not to go out?” I asked.
“I promise baby. Go now, don’t keep Mom waiting.” She said and I moved forward to kiss her lips before standing up.
“I love you.” I said.
“Love you too.” She replied and I headed for the door.
DIANA
As soon as Isaac was out,I picked up my phone and sent a message to Enoch.
You can come now. I sent and waited for him to reply.
What about your boyfriend? Won’t he get mad? He replied.
He left for the shop. Come now cos he won’t be staying long
Okay. Give me ten minutes. I read and I shut my phone.
I packed the plates I used to eat into the kitchen, cleaning the table well.
I was damn eager to hear what he has to say. I need to know why they hate themselves so much that they can’t even pretend about it in front of we the children.
Once I have heard it, I will tell Isaac about it too. He needs to know.

I kept checking the time on my phone, shaking my legs nervously.
A knock came on the door and I jumped up to my feet and rushed to get it.
I opened it to see Enoch grinning widely.
“Hi.” I said smiling fakely.
“Hey. May I.” He said pointing inside.
“Yes Sure.” I said making way for him to walk in.
“Wow , your house isn’t bad at all.” He said looking around the house like he was a surveyor.
“Thanks. So let’s get down to why you are here. What Happened between my mother and yours?” I asked and he sighed.
“You didn’t even ask me to sit or offer me water.” He said Smiling.
“Oh my bad. I am sorry, I am just too anxious to hear it. Please sit.” I said and he sat still beaming widely.
“What should I get you?” I asked.
“Anything you take.” He replied and I nodded walking into the kitchen.
