It remains a week before their final examination. Their WAEC and NECO was near approaching. Leonard and Roxanne planned on doing reading partner , sometimes in the school while sometimes at home.
One day Leonard came to Roxanne’s house for partner read, he met her father who seems to be hard. He had frozen already.
“What do you want boy”. Mr Brown asked Leonard who was startled.
“Hmmm…. I’m Leonard, I come for partner reading I’m looking for Rox”. He stammered nonstop.
“Okay you can come in”. He said giving him a way. “Who are you to her”.
“Just a friend”. He replied nonchalantly already feeling frustrated then Roxanne climbed down the stairs. “Hi Leo”. Roxanne cooed walking to where he stood with her father.
“Hey, wats up”. Asked Leonard
“I’m fine, shall we went for government today or creative arts?” Asked Roxanne.
“Government is fine by me”. Replied Leonard following Roxanne to her study room and they set for government textbook.
It kept going on like that till the examination came in. They sat for the exam and they both came up with flying colour. Mr and Mrs Titore was proud of their only son and wished they could stay long to reap what they sowed same as Mr Brown, he also praised Roxanne for being an intelligent lady.
Their valedictory service was near approaching, the students decided on night party and it was granted by the school organizer.
Before the valedictory service, Leonard went to his friends suite and they started some discussion but when Jason talk about be in love with Roxanne he flared up angrily.
“What did you mean by that Jason?” Leonard spatted angrily.
“I just like her and I’m going to confess to her one day”. Grinned Jason wickedly.
“Like?? As how?” Shouted Leonard angrily while other just watched with keen interest.
“I know it won’t go well with you but hear this warning if you don’t back off, you will regret ever being friend with me. Leave it or loose all”. Said Jason with gritted teeth as he stormed out of the room.
“Did he just threatened me?” Leonard in anger asked .
“Calm down dude he just dey play “. Cooled Himal.
“This is not a play he’s damn serious “. Elia said .
“He can’t just threatened me like that I’m outta here “. Leonard said and stormed out.
Leonard went to Roxanne’s house that evening, as he approached their gate Jason’s words rang in his brain and conniption gripped him. After much more courage, he knocked on the gate and ever scary built man show up and opened entrance for him.
Leonard stroll down to the main building, he locked and Roxanne showed up unexpectedly to Leonard.
“Are you going out”. Leonard.
“Yes, Jason just left”. She said and Leonard raised a brow in confusing
