We got home and got in to still see the door locked, and I sighed looking at Enoch.
“He is still there Enoch.” I said sadly and he looked at me.
“Maybe I should do the talking now.” He said and I nodded.
He moved to the door and was about knocking it when the door opened and Isaac came out.
We were startled at first but later gained our ground.
“What are you doing here?” He asked looking surprised when he saw Enoch.
“I came to talk to you.” He said and he looked at me. I nodded for him to listen to him.
“Diana I am hungry. I have cried out all the strength in me.” He said and I smiled.
“I will make something for us. You should catch up with your brother.” I said and he smiled faintly.
I walked to the kitchen and began to think of what to prepare. But no ideas were coming, I was too happy to see Isaac come out.
Then I remembered I have a meal book where I could find something nice to prepare for the new found brothers.
I walked to the room and went straight to my drawer, where I always kept the manual. I picked it up and there I saw a chocolate in the drawer.
“Hmmmm who put this here?” I thought looking around. I held the pamphlet in my hand and walked out of the room with the chocolate on the other hand.
I got to the living room and I saw Isaac and Enoch were talking already. They seemed cool and I was happy.
I wanted to ask if he put the chocolate in the drawer but then I thought twice. I shouldn’t disturb the brotherly union.
I wanted to go away when Enoch stopped me.
“Is the chocolate for me?” Enoch asked and I looked back.
“Ahhh. Yes, you can have it.” I said throwing it to him.
“Thanks. You care for?” He asked Isaac and he shook his head.
“No. I just want to catch up with life and things. Chocolate won’t help.” He said and he nodded.
“Thank you Diana.” He said again before opening it. I smiled and walked back to the kitchen to get the meal done.
ENOCH
“So how do you feel about this whole mother news?” I asked taking a bite from the chocolate. To be honest, the taste was superb.
“I don’t know. I feel broken, Like I am in a trance.” He said and I nodded.
“Truth be told,I don’t know or understand how you feel. But when I overheard mother saying all this to Diana, I was broken.”
“I kept remembering how bad I have always treated you, and how hard i have always tried to gain Diana to myself.”
“If I knew you were my brother, I would have never done that to you Isaac. I have always wanted a brother but after Mother had me, father has been traveling all over the world. It’s just like he doesn’t have our time.” I said.
“You mean my stepfather.” He said and I nodded smiling.
“Yes. I am sorry for bombarding you with my own problems, I know it lot to process.” I said and he shook his head.
“It’s fine Enoch. It’s just so surprising you accept me as your Elder brother, well step brother.” He said and I smiled taking another bite.
“I have always noticed that anytime you are around mother she seems so happy. I knew there was a connection, but I never thought the connection would be the mother and son own.”
“I had always hated you because you seemed to have everything even though you were poor. A good and loving girlfriend, nice friends and a wonderful home.”
“I was jealous because I was just rich, nothing more than that.” I stated.
“Don’t think that way. Your mother loves you.” He said and I smiled.
“Our mother, not just my mother anymore.” I said and he nodded.
“Yeah right. Our mother, she loves you. Never question that love she has for you.” He said and I nodded.
“Okay big brother. I don’t know but I feel happy this is real.” I said and he looked at me.
“Me too.” He replied when it was like something stung me in my tummy making me wince.
“Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded pretending to be fine.
And when I thought the pain would die down it increased. The chocolate fell off my hand and I grabbed my tummy.
I began to sweat profusely and my vision became blurry too.
“Enoch!” Issac called but I couldn’t reply.
“Diana!!! Get me water!!” He yelled In a shaky voice.
“I am…” I said and I began to cough out blood.
“Oh no! Enoch.” Diana yelled in terror and I guess the glass of water fell from her hand.
“Hold on Little brother. I will get you to the hospital.” Issac said but his voice sounded far away.
I tired to smile and just then my eyes closed, and I fell unconscious.
