AURORA POV
After having enough thought for a week, I decided to return to my job. Alex has been very caring towards me, he always has time to call me every day to check how I am doing. I decided to surprise him at work, I didn’t tell him I would be returning to work.
I got to work early and kessy and the rest staff were happy to see me, I guess none of them knew what happened to me, when they asked what happened, I told them I was on leave. I got to my office looking neat as it has always been.
“Is so good to be here”. I smiled and brought out my laptop and started checking something on it. I got so entangled in what I was doing that I didn’t notice his presence.
” You are here”. he said and I could feel the excitement in his voice.
I raised my face to him to see him standing in front of me smiling, I stood up quickly. “Good Morning sir”. I greeted cheerfully. he smiled at me and moved closer to me, I was caught off guard by his sudden actions as he claimed my lips on his, I blinked severally and then he pulled away from me still caressing my face.
” Why didn’t you tell me you changed your mind?”.
“I wanted to surprise you”. I said nervously.
” Well, I am surprised”. he smiled at me and I melted at his smile. “I am glad you came back”. he pulled away from me.” Come to my office and read my schedule for me later”. he said and walked away.
Some moments later, I went to his office to read his schedule to him.
“Sir, you will be having lunch with Mr frank by twelve, and then…” I paused as I noticed his next schedule would be a business trip.
“Why do you stop?”.
” Um, am sorry, you will be traveling for a business trip by five pm”. I said.
“Is that all?”.
” Yes sir”.
“Okay, come here”. he said and moved to him. ” Come closer”.
I moved closer as he dragged me to sit on his lap and his arms encircled around my waist.
“Alex, someone might walked in on us”. I said nervously.
“No one won’t, I know you are sad that I am going on a business trip, but you can come with me”. He said.
” No, I can’t, I have a lot of work to do”.
“Can’t it wait till we get back?”.
” No, don’t worry, is just a day trip”. I said.
“OK, so, will you go on a date with me this weekend?”.
” A date?”. I turned to him and he nodded. I became speechless, how could I go on a date with him when everyone knew he was engaged, I didn’t want to cause attention.
“Is that a yes?”. he interrupted my thoughts.
” I can’t”. I replied and stood up from his lap and I could see the surprisedly look on his face.
“Why? You don’t want to go on a date with me?”.
” Of course, I would love to go on a date with you, but…”.
“But what?”. He stood up and carried me to sit on his desk as he stood between my legs.
” Alex, everyone knows of your engagement, and if your mother–“.
“Let me worry about that”. he interrupted me as he caressed my face.” I lost you before and I don’t want to lose you again”. He claimed my lips softly and then started kissing my neck, flirtatiously, I began to lose control of myself.
“Alex” I moan his name enjoying his tender kisses.
“Is that a yes to my proposal?”. He asked between kisses.
We break from the kiss and stare lovingly into each other eyes. ” What if refused?”.
“Then, I won’t stop asking you out until you say yes to me”. he claimed my lips and this time it became passionate and I encircled my arms around him responding to his kisses, after a while, we broke out from it to catch our breath.
” Is time for your lunch meeting with mr Frank”.I said and stood up from the table as we pulled away from each other.
“Okay, get prepared, we are going together”. he said and I nodded before I left for my office.

Later in the evening, I was seated on my bed staring out to the shiny stars from my window and I kept having his thoughts in my head and his proposal too.
” Why do I feel this thing building between us is just like a fantasy, why do I feel it won’t last long” I sighed at my thoughts and his call came through. I picked it up and we started talking.
The next day, I was piling up some work in my office when I felt someone’s presence and she interrupted me.
“You are still here?”. Nora said and I raised my face to see her danger look on me. ” Where is my fiance?”.
“He is not back from his business trip, but you can wait for him in his office”. I said firmly.
” Do I need your permission to do that”. she kissed her teeth and left for his office. I stared after her for a while and continued with what I was doing.
An hour later, I got a call that he was back, quickly, I picked up some files to meet him outside the company entrance. I was standing with the rest staff when his car drove in, at that moment I wanted to hug him tight and feel his warmth on me, but I had to control my emotions. Immediately he got out of the car, he met eyes with me and smiled before he walked passed my direction and I followed him behind.
“Did anything happen while I was away?”. He asked why walking to his private elevator.
” No sir”. I replied. immediately we entered his elevator and it closed, I was caught off guard as he pressed me against the wall. he nips my bottom lips, soothing it with a tender lick of his tongue before taking ownership of the kiss once again. There is something about the way he kisses that makes me hope he never stops. I can’t think. his tantalizing assault on my mouth doesn’t allow me to.
“Do you miss me?”. He asked between kisses. Then the elevator makes a stop and we break out from the kiss.” We will continue later”. he said in a whisper and walked away while I followed him behind, we stopped at my office and I told him about his visitor. he sighed and then went inside. I sat down and I could hear their conversation.
“Hey, you are back”. Nora said as she moved to hug him but Alex avoided her hug and she was disappointed.
” What are you doing here?”. he asked.
“I came to see you, but I was told you were on a business trip, so I had to wait”. She smiles.
” So? Then what brings you here?”.
“Come on Alex, I miss you, is it a bad thing that I came to see my fiancee”.
” As you can see, I am just returning from a long trip and I need to rest, can you please leave”.
“What? I should leave?”.
” Yes Nora, please leave I am busy”.
“Okay fine! Promise me we will go on a date this Saturday”.
” Why will I promise you that?”.
“Because I am your fiancee and people need to start talking about us”.
” Will you stop! Can’t you read the handwriting on the wall? I don’t want to have this conversation with you anymore”. he said and left for his seat and sat down taking off his suit jacket.
“We will have this conversation next time because I won’t give up on our relationship”. She picked up her bag and came out. She stopped by my office and gave me a hard look before she left.
I sighed and took a beep at Alex in his office looking tired, I stood and went downstairs to make him a black tea, I came back and placed it in front of him.
” You should drink this”. I said. he stared at me and then drank from the tea.
“Thank you”. he said and placed the cup on the table and relaxed his head on the chair.
” Mr. Ray called a while ago”. I said.
“What did he say?”
“Nothing much, he called to remind us of the investment in his company and I told him I will let you know about it once you return from your trip”.
” Okay, thanks”.
“Are you okay?”. I asked seeing how tired and weak he was.
” Yeah, I guess”.
I moved to him and felt his forehead and he was running temperature.”You are running body temperature, you need to see a doctor”. I said and he looked at me with his weak eyes.
“I will be fine”.
” No, you are not, let me take you to the hospital”.I insisted and he took my hand.
“You don’t have to, all I need is a little nap and I will be fine”.
” Are you sure?”.
“Yes”.
” Okay, I will help you up to the couch to lay down”. I helped him to the couch and he lay down. “Is there anything else you need?”.
” Yes”.
“What”.
” Stay with me”. he said and I was speechless. “That’s what I want, I think I can sleep peacefully with you by my side”. he said.
” Um”.
“Please”.
I gulped nervously and sat down next to him, he raised his head and placed it on my lap. I sighed and stared at him lovingly as I began to caress his hair while he fell asleep.
