It’s Christmas morning, Richard and his family decorated their house beautifully, and Nina was in the kitchen preparing a meal for the family.
“What are you doing? Didn’t I tell you not to touch anything”. Richard interrupted her from behind as he moved to her to stop from cooking.
” What is wrong with what I am doing, I am cooking for the family”.She said.
“I must do that”.
” No, honey, you are the man of the house and is the woman duty to cook for the family “.
“Not on my watch, you are heavily pregnant, you should be resting”.
“Are just three months gone, besides, it’s not the first time you are stopping from cooking”.
” You are my wife and I must take care of you and our kids, I am not complaining, let me be doing the cooking, go inside, and take a nap”.
“You are something, you know that”. They smile at each other.
” I know right, you know I love you so much”. he pulled her into his arms.
“I love you more”. They kissed softly.
” Are you guys done?”Little Aurora interrupted them and they pulled away from each other to see her closing her eyes with her palms
“Yes, honey”. Richard said and she opened her eyes.
” Good Morning mom and dad”. She greeted cheerfully as she rushed to hug them.
“Did you sleep well?”. Nina asked.
” Yes Mom”. she said and they smiled at her.”How is my little brother doing there?”.
“Well, he is doing just great”. Nina replied.
” I can’t wait to see him”.
“Us too”. Richard said.” Now, you and Mom should go and let me finish the cooking”. he said. Nina and little Aurora left for the living room.
Elizabeth was getting ready for work when her cell phone rang, she noticed the caller ID and ignored it, then a message came through.

“What an asshole, did he just threaten me?”. She scoffs.” I guess you have forgotten your place Spike, but I will remind you of it soon”. She picked up her bag and left the house.

~~LEONARD MANSION~~
Everyone was seated in the dining room waiting to eat, except Victoria who was talking to some client on the phone in her room.
“Grandpa, can we open our present now?”. Adrian asked.
” No dear, I told you after dinner”. He said.
“But I am dying to”. He grumbles.
” After dinner”. he insisted.
“Why is mom taking so long?” Andrew asked.
“That’s because she is on a business call”. Gabriel replied.
” Is it about the new wine launch, Grandpa?”.Adrian asked and Mr.Leonard nodded.
“Yes, is selling rapidly, a lot of buyers are patronizing us”. He said.
” That’s great news”.Gabriel said and they smiled. Then the doorbell rings.
“Are we expecting someone?”. Adrian asked.
” Yes”. Mr. Leonard said as he ordered one of the maids to go and open the door.
She obeyed and left to open the door, everyone eyes were on the doorstep waiting to see who it was, Just then Alex entered holding gifts in his arms. Andrew and the rest were surprised.
“Um, good day everyone, and Merry Christmas”. He said smiling nervously.
” Welcome Alex”. Mr. Leonard replied smiling.
“It’s him!” The kids chorused as they rushed to where Alex was standing, smiling broadly at him.
“Hello, little princes”. He squats and caresses their cheeks.
” It’s you, you are here”.Adrian said excitedly. and suddenly Alex was caught off guard as they hugged him tight.
“You are real”. Andrew said. And Alex responded to their hugs, as he held them firmly.
” Grandpa, tell me is not what I am thinking”. Gabriel said staring surprisedly.
“What are you thinking son?”. He asked smiling and Gabriel turned to him.
“Is he their Dad?”. He asked.
” Mm-hm, you get it right”. he said and gulped his water.
“Oh, my world! No doubt about this”. Gabriel said as he turned to them.
They pulled away from each other and Alex caressed their faces and kissed their forehead.
“Please tell us we are not dreaming, are you our Dad?”. Andrew asked as tears filled their eyes.
” Please tell us, you are our dad, we would really love it to have you as our Dad”.Adrian said and Alex smile faintly at them.
“Yes, I am “. he replied and sniffed as the kids hugged him again. tears were crawling out of their eyes.
” We missed you so much”. They said.
“And I miss you two too”. They pulled away from each other and cleared up their tears with his thumb.” I promise to never leave your side, I am so happy to see you two”.
“Us too! We love you, Dad”. They said smiling.
” And I love you more, look I got you guys some presents”. he said and handed over their gifts to them.
“Cool!” They said.
“Thank you, Dad”. Andrew said.
” Can we open it now?”Adrian asked and Mr.Leonard interrupted them.
“The rules still stand, no opening of presents before meal”. He said and they turned to him.
” Seriously, Grandpa, are you still on with that?”.Adrian said tiredly at him and they laughed.
“We can do the opening later”. Alex said.
” Fine!”. They said and left to the dining table.
Alex stood searching around for Aurora.
“Aren’t you joining us, Uncle?”. Gabriel asked.
” Um, yeah”. He takes a step and then notices a familiar person walking down the staircase. Suddenly their eyes met. “Aurora”. He called and rushed to hug her tightly in his arms. Victoria was surprised by his sudden action while the rest was staring at them.
“What is this feeling again? Why do I feel safe in these arms”. She thought to herself.
” I thought I lost you”. He pulled away a little and caressed her face. “I have always known that you were alive, I miss you Aurora, I miss you so much”. He sniffed and hugged her again. ” Please don’t leave me again”.
“Why am I not pushing him away? Do I know him before?”. she thought confusedly and then regained herself and pulled away from his arms. ” get away from me, why did you hug me? Who are you?”. She asked.
“It’s me Aurora, I know you can’t remember who I am”.
” Am not Aurora, maybe you have mistaken me for someone else”. She said and rushed to where her father was seated.”Dad, please tell this man to stay away from me”.
“He can’t, this man is your husband”. he said and Victoria was surprised.
” My what?”.
“You heard him, Mom”. Gabriel said.
” I don’t know him, how is he my husband”.
“That’s because you had a memory loss”. Alex said as he tried to touch her, but she pushed back.
” Don’t come close to me, I don’t know who you are”. She said and Alex sighed sadly.
“Come on Alex, let’s eat, we can sort things out later”. he said and they sat down to eat.
Some hours later, After their mouth-watering meal, the kids opened their presents and they were excited about the amazing gift they received from everyone. Victoria came to the garden staring at the stars, Alex came behind her and covered her with his jacket, Victoria turned to him quickly.
” You might catch a cold”. he said and their eyes suddenly interlock. he moves to her closing the gap between them.”I know you don’t remember your past Aurora, but I promise to be here with you and do everything possible to make you regain your memory again”. He caresses her face.” I love you so much wifey”. He leaned his face closer to her slowly and kissed her.
Victoria froze at one spot, her body refused to move, and she blinked her eyes severally. Alex pulled away a little to look at her eyes, he encircled his arms around her waist and pulled her to himself, and their lips met softly, Victoria closed her eyes and responded to his tender kisses, Alex caressed her into his arms as he deepened the kiss passionately. He has longed for this for years.
