ALEXANDER POV
I was in a meeting with some clients when the news got to me about what was happening in my company, I excused myself from the meeting and I left with my men to the company to see the press everywhere and I wondered what they were doing here, immediately they caught sight of me, they rushed to interview me, but I ignore them and my men were on guard blocking them from coming closer. Then I stop over a question someone throws at me.
👨💼”Is it true you are having a secret affair with your worker to the point of ignoring your fiancee and her baby? “.
I turned to them quickly in anger and they pushed back.”You all go thirty seconds to vacate my premises or you will face the consequences”. I threatened and within a second they ran off. I walked inside and asked my men to bring down the video, I got to my office to see Aurora not in her office.”Where could she be?”. I wondered and decided to call her, but it rang for a while before someone picked it up.” Aurora? Where are you?”. I asked and I waited for her response, but unfortunately, someone else picked it up and told me they rushed her to the hospital, fear overwhelmed me and I was in deep worry, I rushed out quickly and asked the driver to take me to the nearest hospital.
On getting there, I met two of my staff beside Aurora on the bed, they bowed to me immediately when they saw me and I rushed to sit next to her holding her hand.
“What happened to her?” I asked.
“She was running body temperature, so we decided to bring her here”. Nina said.
” How long has she been unconscious?”.
“She fell unconscious on our way here, but the doctor has commented treatment on her already and he said she will wake up soon”. She said and I sighed tiredly.
I got home after dropping Aurora off at her house, and Nora rushed to me pulling a sad face.
” Alex, please hear me out, am sorry”. She said and I ignored her.”Please, am sorry”.
“You have just three minutes to pack your things and leave my house”. I said.
” Please! I said I am sorry, I don’t know what came over me”.
“You are sorry? Do you know what you have done? Do you know what you have caused me?”. I yelled at her.
” Am sorry, I don’t know what came over me, I guess is the pregnancy hormones, besides, it wasn’t my fault, you left me all alone to go be with your Mistress”. she said and I tried to control my anger.
“Don’t you dare address her as a mistress ever again, she means something to me and you are aware of that”.
” What do you see in her that you don’t see in me? Am I not good enough for you?”.
“You can’t be good enough for me, you are not anything like her and you will never be, so I will advise you to stay away from her”.
” I won’t! I am your fiancee and I deserve attention from you”. She sob.
“Leave my house, the next time you pull that stunt you did in my company, I won’t be this calm with you, you will pay for every single damage”. I turn to leave.
” Please don’t do this to me! I love you”.
“screw you and your pathetic love”. I left to my room and I could still hear her talking.

NARRATOR POV
Nora packed out of Alexander’s house and came to her boyfriend’s house, he welcomed her in and they sat down at the dining table discussing.
👤” But why did you do that?”. He asked.
“Don’t blame me, Charles, this whole thing is also your fault, why are you taking time to get Aurora back?”. She yelled.
” I know, but I am waiting for the appropriate time, you ruined everything, why did you go to her office and cause a scene?”.
“Alex left me last night to go be with her”.
” Are you sure about that?”.
“What kind of a stupid question is that? I am sure and I know she was pretending, I am scared that she will get pregnant for Alex and he will abandon me for her”. She sniffs.
” I told you not to do anything stupid, I told you to be cool with what is going on, pray he shouldn’t end the engagement like he once did before”. he said.
“I am losing it already, I want everything to end, so that we can be together”.
” It will, we need to be patient, I will pay Aurora a visit tomorrow and continue to persuade her for forgiveness”.
“The earlier the better”. She said and they sighed.
Meanwhile, Nina sat down in her living room watching her favorite TV show when she heard a knock on the door, she left to open the door and was surprised no one was at the door but a box laying down on her doorstep.
” What’s this?”. She wondered and gave the box a little kick before she picked it up and went inside shutting the door against her.”Hmm”. She opened the box and saw a little pink teddy bear.”Wow, is beautiful” she smiled. “who sent this? Is it from Aurora? I don’t think so”. She sighs happily.

Days passed, and Nina began to get uncomfortable with the different gifts sent to her at home and even at her office, a lot of her colleagues began to think she had a secret to admire.
📞”Really?”.Aurora said from the other end of the phone while talking to Nina.
📞”Yes, I don’t know and I am beginning to feel uncomfortable about this, what if it’s a set up”Nina said.
📞”You know what, stop collecting the gifts if the person doesn’t want to show up”.
📞”Yes I am doing that right now, is like the person knows me well enough to know what I like”.She said.
📞”I was thinking, but don’t get scared or anything, could it be is your uncle sending the gifts”. Aurora said and there was a quiet moment from Nina.”Nina? Are you there?”.
📞”Yes, I am, I don’t think it’s my uncle, I have stopped receiving calls from him and my uncle is as stingy with heat as it is with light, even to his wife, he never gifts her anything”.
📞”Oh, but anyway, stay indoors and don’t walk alone at night”.
“I won’t, I miss you so much”.
” Me too, I will return to the office in two days”.
“And I can’t wait”. They chuckle on the phone.” All alright, take care of yourself”. They hung up.
••Nora’s bedroom ••
She was on the phone with Charles.
📞”Did you go to her already?”. She asked and there was a pause.”You haven’t? What are you waiting for?”. She asked angrily.”Don’t tell me to calm down! am losing it, Alex has refused to pick up my calls, the earlier you get close to Aurora, the better for all of us”. She said and hung up.”Moron!”.
Meanwhile, Aurora was having dinner with her grandmother when a text came through her phone, she smiled as she noticed who the message was from.
💬what are you doing?”.Alex asked.
💬”Having dinner with my grandmother, you?”. she replied.
💬”Missing you”.Alex type.
💬”Aww, that’s so sweet, I miss you too”.
💬”Okay, come outside.
💬”huh, you are outside my house?”.She typed surprisedly.
💬”Yes, I have something for you”.
💬”Okay, give me a minute”.She ended the chat and stood up to leave.
“Where are you going?”.
” Um, Ale–I mean my boss is outside, I guess he wants me to do something for him”.
“Huh, why didn’t he come inside?”.
” Well, maybe he is in a hurry, I will be right back”. She rushed out to see Alex’s car in front of the house and she knocked on the glass door, Alex wine down.
“Get in”. he said and She entered and shut the door.
” Why–“.She got interrupted as Alex shut her up with a soft kiss. She shuts her eyes and responds to his kisses and then they break out from it.
“Gosh! I miss you”. he caress her face.
“Me too, is this the ‘something’ you have for me?”. She smiles.
” Not really”. he said and then brought out a rectangular box from his suit pocket.”This is for you”.
“Wow”. She took it happily and opened it to see a silver bracelet.” oh my, is beautiful!”. she took it out staring amazingly at it.
“You like it?”.
” Yes! I love it, put it on me” She gave it to him and he placed it on her right hand. “This is beautiful, thank you”. She hugs him and he pats her back.
” So, can I get my reward”. he pulled away from her and she blushed. “Mm”.
” Okay”. She kissed his cheek quickly. “How about that?”.
” Not bad”. he carried her on his lap and she gulped nervously. “I want more”. he caresses her body. ” I want to hug and kiss you, I have missed you for days”.They smile at each other.
Their lips crashed on each other softly as they deepened the kiss. Aurora combed her fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck, the passionate moment between them was so intense that they forgot they were in the car. Then a knock on the tinted window interrupted them, they turned to see it was her grandmother who was knocking on the door.
” I guess I have to go “.
” Sure, am sorry for keeping you out so late”. he kissed her forehead.”Sleep tight “.
” You too”. She stood up from his lap and moved to open the door slowly.
“What took you so long? I was worried”.
” Um –“She got interrupted as Alex wine down the window glass.
“Am sorry Granny, I didn’t mean to keep her up late”. he said and Aurora’s grandmother smiled at him.
” You can go ahead now, bye”. Aurora waved at him and he drove off. “Let’s go inside Granny”.
” What business were you two discussing at this time of the night?”. She asked as they both went inside.
