I walked into the house and saw Isaac deep in thoughts. I knew how sucking it is when you are reminded of things like this.
“Isaac.” I called approaching him and he looked at me.
“She brought back all the memories of my sufferings.” He said in tears and I hugged him letting his head rest on my b**bs.
“I am sorry about that Isaac. But can you tell me why she was asking you this?” I asked and he shook his head.
“I don’t know Diana. She has been acting weird since the time she saw this mark on me.” I said lowering my shirt for her to see.
“Your birth mark?” I asked and he nodded.
“Yes. Since then, she has seemed so concerned about my parents and childhood.” He said and i sighed.
“Maybe she knows your parents.” I said and he shook his head.
“I don’t care about the dead Diana. It’s a waste of time. I have moved on, I have gotten over it.” He said and I sighed.
“I understand you Isaac. But you don’t hate them right?” I asked and he looked at them.
“I don’t. I know it’s not their fault they are dead. I just hate the fact that I didn’t spend time with them.” He said cleaning his tears and I kissed his head.
“Cry it all out.” I said as he kept sobbing on me. Just then my phone rang and I picked it up to see Mrs Danielle calling.
“Isaac give me a minute.” I said and he nodded. We disengaged and I walked into the room to pick up the call.
Mrs Danielle what did you do? Isaac can’t stop crying.
I can’t neither.
Why? What’s going on?
I need your help Diana.
Anything Mrs Danielle.
I need a strand of Isaac’s hair. Could you help me get it?
Why? What for?
I would explain everything to you when you bring it. It’s urgent please. *Weeping*
Give me ten minutes.
Thank you Diana. And please don’t tell Isaac about his hair. He could get more angry.

I hung up staring at the phone for some seconds. I didn’t understand what was going on, but I knew if I did this I would surely get what is really going on from her.
I reached for Isaac’s comb in the drawer and thank goodness, he had his hair on it.
I removed a strand and put it in a nylon before putting it in my pocket. I walked to the living room and I saw Isaac was still seated.
“Isaac I need to go out now.” I said and he looked at me. He looked better than earlier.
“Where are you going?” He asked.
“Mrs Danielle wants to see me.” I said and he stood up.
“Why? So she could whine about my dead parents to you too?” He asked and I shook my head.
“Isaac, you need answers right? You need to know what really happened and what is going on with Mrs Danielle. I would find out.” I said.
“No I don’t want any answers.” He said and I held his hand.
“Trust me.” I said kissing him and he nodded reluctantly.
“Tell me everything she tells you okay? And don’t stay long. I need you now, more then ever.” He said and I smiled hugging him.
“I will be back before you notice.” I said and he tried to smile.
I headed out of the house and began to walk down to Danielle’s house. I see no reason why she is so nice and concerned about Issac and his parents.
But I will find out before handing the hair to her.
I got to her gate and pressed the door bell waiting for her to open up.
Soon someone approached the gate and opened it. It was Enoch.
“Hey Diana.” He said happily.
“Hi.” I replied smiling.
“Come in. It’s a great surprise to see you. What are you doing here?” He asked shutting the door behind us.
“Your mother called me. Is she home?” I asked.
“Of course. Come.” He said welcoming me so warmly that I began to think he was fake. But I shouldn’t feel like that right?
I mean he is just trying to be nice. I just need to get used to him been like this around me.
He opened the door to the main mansion and Mrs Danielle was sitting on the couch lost in thoughts.
“She has been this way all afternoon. Maybe you could talk her out of it. I would excuse you both.” He said and I nodded.
He walked away and I walked to where Mrs Danielle was sitting.
“Mrs Danielle I am here.” I said and she looked up. When she saw me she jumped up Happily.
“Thank God you are here. Did you bring it?” She asked eagerly.
“Yes. But I would hand it over to you under one condition. Which is, if you tell me why you desperately need it.” I said and she breathed out loud.
“I want to perform a DNA test.” She said and I arced my brows in confusion.
“Why?” I asked.
“I think Isaac is my lost son.” She said and it was like i fell into a trance.
“What? How is that even possible?” I asked stammering.
“He has the same mark my baby had before your mother stole him away from me. The same mark, same spot.” She said and I shook my head.
“That’s not possible.” I said trying not to imagine what that means.
“That’s why I need to be sure, so I need a DNA test. The earlier the better.” She said and I took the nylon out of my pocket.
“I hope this isn’t true. I hope you and him don’t match.” I said fearfully.
“Don’t hope that. I have always cried over my lost son for 20 years and now I have a chance to be with him, you wish this?” She asked.
“I am sorry but that’s not what I am trying not to think about.” I Said and she understood immediately.
“Diana, Isaac loves you. No matter what your mother did it won’t change that.” She said.
“My mom deprived him of his happiness. Sent him to the streets to eat garbage for 20 years. Do you think it’s easy?” I asked and she sighed.
“It will be fine. But right now, we need to be sure this isn’t a coincidence. I am heading for the hospital now.” She said reaching for her bag.
“I will go with you.” I said and she nodded.
