“Regina… What, what are you doing here?” I asked stammering and all she did was stare at me with her eyes heating up.
“Jace who is she?” Elena asked and I looked at her.
“It’s a long story Elena.” I said looking at Regina.
“I am Regina, and this is Jace’s son. The one he abandoned ten years ago.” She muttered and Elena’s mouth dropped open.
“What? Jace what is she talking about?” Elena asked while Celine and Josh excused us .
“Elena I will explain everything. Right now, I need to talk to Regina in private.” I said and she looked at both of us before walking away.
“Why did you say that to her Regina? What was necessary?” I asked and she shrugged her shoulders.
“I said the truth.” She said and I looked at the boy.
“What truth? I told you to get rid of him a long time ago.” I whispered in her ears .
“You said so but I didn’t. When I saw you didn’t want to take responsibility, I travelled out with mother and father’s help and I nursed him all by myself.” She stated and I looked at the boy.
He stared at me for some seconds before I saw a smile on his face.
“Are you my father?” He asked and I swallowed hard not knowing what to say.
“Jason can you please excuse us. Go sit on that chair.” She said and he nodded walking away.
“You even named him Jason.” I said and she looked at me.
“Because he is your son.” She said and I held my head.
“You can’t just follow me here to tell me that I had a son ten years back, and you expect me to believe you.” I muttered and she looked at me angrily.
“You really think I followed you here? I came here to have a nice time with my Son! Not to proof anything to you.”
“For five years now, he has not stopped asking who his father his and I didn’t find any answers to give him.”
“Now I saw you here, I knew it was time to show him who is Faher is. At least now he wouldn’t think I am the wicked one here. He would know you are the one that doesn’t love him.” She said and I swallowed hard again.
She began to walk away and I called her making her stop.
“Regina.” I called and she looked at me.
“Don’t worry. I won’t say anything bad to him. He has been father less for ten years now. He is used to it.” She stated and the boy kept looking at me.
“Stop talking like this Regina. You are making it look like it’s my fault.” I stated.
“So whose fault is it? Mine?” She asked in a shaky voice and I shook my head.
“We both weren’t prepared. We both couldn’t carry that burden then. It was just a night!” I said trying not to yell and I saw tears roll down her cheeks.
“Really? You know I can’t blame you. But I am so happy my little boy didn’t know you at all. That he didn’t see the animal that brought him to this world.” She said angrily, grabbed him by his hand and walked away.
The little boy kept looking at me as they both walked away, and I looked around to see if anyone was seeing or listening. But I saw no one.
I sighed bowing my head before walking back to the receptionist.
“Room 457.” She said and I smiled faintly walking away. I walked down the hallway in thoughts.
About Regina and this boy she calls my son,how I would face Elena after what she heard Regina say. And what step I would take.
I got to the room, and I walked in to see Elena sitting on the bed. Immediately I walked in, she looked at me and I understood perfectly what that face meant.
“Elena.” I called and she kept staring at me.
“Is what is said true?” She asked and I sighed.
“I don’t know Elena.” I replied.
“You don’t know?? Why would you even say that?” She asked with a frown on her face.
“Because I know her and we once had a baby on the way.” I said and I saw her eyes shiver as I made that Statement.
“What Happened?” She asked and I walked to the bed and sat down.
“Elena can’t this wait? We can here to enjoy each other’s company. We are not to allow distractions.” I said and she shook her head.
“So we should just ignore that you once had a baby, ignore the fact that he is breathing right now thinking someone else is his father, or his father doesn’t care about him.”
“Well I am so sorry to disappoint you Jace. We are talking about this.” She rapped with determination.
“She maybe lying.” I said.
“And how sure are you about that?” She asked almost immediately.
“I asked her to get rid of it.” I smacked and her mouth dropped open.
“What!” She said and I breathed out loud.
“It happened ten years ago. And I need you not to look at me that way and judge me because of what I did.” I said and she nodded sitting on the bed.
