I hung up and dropped my phone on the bed sighing. I heard the door in the living room open and I guessed Jace was back.
I walked out of the room and I saw him sit on the couch tiredly.
“Where did you go?” I asked approaching him.
“Out why?” He asked looking at me.
“You didn’t tell me you were leaving.” I said folding my hands.
“Well the last time I checked, we aren’t real couples and no one Is around now, so stop acting like my wife.” He said and to be sincere I was shoxked.
He has always been sweet until now. What is wrong with him?
“You are obstructing my view.” He said coldly and then I realized I was standing in front of the TV. I moved away angrily walking into the room.
Why should I even care? It’s not like I am his wife or something. I totally deserved that.
I got to the room again and made sure I had arranged my things well. Then I laid on the end tiredly.
I was about closing my eyes for a nap with I began to hear voices in the living room. I strained my ears well and i heard the voice of a woman and that of Jace. The woman’s voice didn’t sound like Lydia, neither like any one I know.
Who the hell is that this time?
I was forced to get out of bed and head out of the room again. I got to the living room and I saw Jace hugging someone. I couldn’t even see the face of the woman.
I cleared my throat very loud that the woman jumped in fright. She looked at me and I saw she looked older than I ever thought nor imagined.
I was about blasting jace for bringing in the age of his mother when I was still around she the woman called my name.
“Elena right?” She asked and the angry in me subsided.
“Yes. And you are?” I asked.
“Andrey. Jace mother.” She said walking up to me and kissing me on my cheeks.
“Good day ma. I am so happy to see you. Jace has told me a lot about you.” I said smiling widely.
“That’s Jace for you, he did the same about you to me too and I was forced to meet the people he has been talking about.” She said and I smiled.
“Hope they are impressive compliments.” I said and she laughed nodding.
“Beautiful, Gorgeous, intelligent, smart, outspoken. Of course they are the best compliment I wish to hear about my son’s wife to be.” She said and I smiled.
“I am flattered ma’am.” I said flushing a little.
“Mom you should seat. I will go get you something so you can chat with Elena.” Jace said and I shook my head before she could respond.
“No I should be the one in the kitchen. You can have a little chat with mother and I will make the dishes. I need to impress her by my cooking skills too right.” I said looking at Jace as he swallowed hard.
“What do you mean?” Mom asked smiling as she looked at both of us.
“She meant she has is happy to hear the compliments, and wants to give you a reason to compliment her when it comes to dishes too. Right Elena?” He asked and I smiled walking up to him.
“That is why I fell in love with you Jace. You know exactly how I feel.” I said and was almost kissing him when he turned his cheeks and made it land on his cheeks
Shit, I forgot no more kissing. I smiled in an odd way moving back and he looked at me Coldly.
“Wow you two are so cute. Who even thought my son would fall in love again.” She said and I furrowed my brows.
“Mom why don’t we let Elena do her thing. We can’t keep you starving.” Jace cut in quickly and I walked away smiling.
I got to the kitchen and began to think about what his mother said. I bet she fell so hard for the act too.
“Baby can you help me out here?” I said loud enough for him to hear me.
He walked to the kitchen and walked closer to me.
“I told you no more kissing.” He whispered looking at the door continually.
“I didn’t call you here for that. I forgot and I am sorry. But your mom said she can’t believe you are in love again. And you told me she has been rejecting the ladies you bring which means she knows you with some others girl right.” I said and he nodded.
“Yes she does. And she says that to everyone I bring thinking the last ones broke my heart and then the present one won’t do the same by just hearing that. So it’s nothing, be a good fiancee and we are good to go.” He said walking out of the kitchen.
I looked at the ingredients in the refrigerator and it all seemed like film trick.
Where do I even start? I have not been in the kitchen for over two years now.
