The Killer’s Bride Episode 32

Xander’s POV
10 years later
Mia POV
It’s been 10 years, 10 years since I last saw Xander, 10 years since he was imprisoned.
Xander has refused seeing me, whenever I come visit him, he always said the guards to tell, me he didn’t want to see me.
According to him, he doesn’t want me seeing him in prison, but anyway, sometimes he does send me notes or messages but he wouldn’t let me see him face-to-face.
Well… I tried living my life, right now my undercover is a young woman who just want to survive. I have a shop, where I sell flowers, there is something about flowers that kept me at peace, it makes me happy, whenever I took a whiff of their scents, really does calm me down.
Sylvia is a marriage counselor, although I don’t really see what or who she is counseling. Let me tell you a little secret, Sylvia might have a little crush on Chan, although she keeps on denying it.
Charles is actually married now, has a kid, a little boy. A really cute boy and he is staying in Italy with he’s family.
Sometimes I do wonder if Xander would ever come back, what if something good foes happen and then he gets released from prison. Well that would be a really happy day for me, I would really love that.
“Are you thinking of Xander again.” My mum asked walking into the flower shop.
“No I’m not, I’m just thinking of something different, that Xander her.
“Okay then.. if you say so. Anyway what are you thinking about exactly.” Ugh, why won’t she just let me be.
“I told you it’s nothing mum.” I said groaning.
“Groan all you want, but I do know, that, you are thinking about him again. Why can’t you just forget him and live your daily life.” My mum exclaims.
“Well.. I have to, i really do miss him. Besides I still feel bad for sending him to jail.” I said sadly.
“He appreciated what you did Miahe does not hold what you did, against you. So stop feeling guilty.” My mum chides. I sighed.
“Come on my child, smile and stop being a sad bunny. Have you forgotten about the letter he sent to you, after a month of being in imprisoned?.” She asked.
Yeah, the letter. I still have it and I read every blessed day. That letter, it’s something I can never let go.

I was in my room when a knock came on my door. I stood up from my bed, and then walked over to the door and opened it.
I opened the door only to see it’s my mum standing infront of my door. I’m no longer staying at the safehouse, after Xander arrest I didn’t see the need for it anymore. So I brought a house, in a different location, and it’s just me and my mum, that is living there.
Besides, I can’t live alone anymore cause of the guilty feelings that has decided to eat the includes of me.
“How are you doing sweetie.” My Mum asked stepping into my room.
“I’m fine.” I replied her, my voice not really having any life in it.
“Well.. I have a later for you, and with the address on it, I can tell it could cheer you up.” She says, then hands over the letter to me, I took from her.
Just looking at the address, I knew it’s from Xander. I felt so anxious to read it, I held the letter tightly to me heart, feeling so emotional.
“Are you going to read it or….” My mum drawled.
“I guess I’ll read it, when you give me a little privacy.” I replied her, pointedly. My mum chuckled, shaking her head but nevertheless she walked out of the room and then closed the door behind me.
I opened the letter anxious, to read what’s in it……..
Hey Mia
I would have loved to ask how you were, and you know all the things people say before writing down the main purpose of the letter but you see that’s not me and that’s definitely not you, so yeah… I will go straight to the point.
I just wanted you to know that, you are not in any way responsible for me being in prison. I do not hold that against you. I want you to know, that I am happy and grateful to you, for what you did.
I’ve always wanted to come out of this life, I have always wanted to stop being this assassin, your father turned me into, but that has never been an easy choice for me. I couldn’t do it on my own.
When I locked you up in that cage, it pained my heart to see you lock in there and I wanted nothing else but to get you out of there but you see Mia, my pride never let me do so.
And so…. Input some words into Chan’s mind, I told him that you haven’t eating for a month and I don’t plan on releasing you. I knew chan heart wasn’t as strong as mine, I knew he was going to do something about it and he didn’t fail me.
I followed you to the police station the other day, i watched you those evidence to Mr Derrick, evidence that I know was given to you by Chan.
Mia I don’t want you blaming yourself for my arrest, cause I could have easily escaped if I wanted. I have tunnels that leads to a safehouse and no one would ever know that I escaped through a tunnel. I am not stupid, and I definitely know when a person is planning against me.
I want you to be happy, I want you to be happy, because you succeeded in changing me. I can’t be an assassin while in prison and unfortunately, I will be in this prison for a very, very, very, long time.

I smiled to myself happily remembering Xander letters. Hmm, sometimes I wish he could just get a presidential pardon and get out of that thing called prison.
Xander POV
“Hmmm, it’s sure is good to be free.” I said breathing in the fresh air of freedom.
“I totally agree with you bro, so… Where are we going to first, Mia or..” Chan asked staring next to me.
“First, we have to change our identity, cover our tracks, so no one can find us. After that, we both prepare for my wedding with Mia.” I said grinning at him. I know you are wondering what the heck is going on but don’t worry, I will tell you.. I just escaped from my prison. There’s no way I’m going to be in that hell hole for all my life, when Mia would be single .
