The Killer’s Bride Episode 20

Xander’s POV
The ringing of my phone woke me up, and I wondered who could be calling me so early in the morning. I got up from my bed, stared at the couch and found Mia sleeping on it so peacefully. I sighed taking my phone from the bed side drawer.
“What took you so long Xander, I’ve been calling your phone for so long now.” Chan yelled, and I had to take the phone away from my ear, for a minute before the idiot would block my ear.
“Chan, this is too early for this.” I said boredly, walking out of the room, I don’t want to wake mia up.
“Early, this afternoon and you just left my house this morning, or have you forgotten that.” He asked with a, *what the heck hit you in the head,* kind of voice and I’m so sure if I was I front of him, he would also be giving me the same look.
I must have gone to sleep when Mia also went to sleep, and since I had nothing to really do, I had to also sleep after running on the treadmill and getting really tired.
“Ohh, yeah, I know that.” I don’t want him knowing I was sleeping and so I thought that we are in the morning, cause if I do, i will never hear the last of it.
“I will just pretend to believe that but in the meantime this is nit why I called. Mr Eli, from the Philippines said he wants to meet with you and that he’s being trying to call your phone, but you are not picking.” Chan informed me, I sighed wondering when I got a call from Mr Eli, cause I know very well that I did not receive any call from him.
“Hmm okay. I will call him now, and also when he said he wanted to meet, where did he say we should meet?.” I said looking up the stairs, my ears alert for Mia footsteps. I wouldn’t want her eavesdropping on me.
“He said you should meet him at the normal hideout.” Chan informed me, “Okay, I will call him now and talk to him.” I said then hung up.
I checked my phone for Mr Eli’s number, once I found it I dialled the number. “Mr Eli, this is Xander Clark on the line.” I said into the phone, the minute Mr Eli picked the call.
“What happened to you Xander, I though we had a deal, so why haven’t you being picking my call or are you having a second thought on the deal.”
I walked away from the stairs, to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. “Of course not Mr Eli. I told you am the best man for the job, and I’m going to do a clean job, I will come over to your safe house, so we can talk and finalized the deal.”
“Okay then.” Mr Eli said and hung up the call. I turned around only to get the biggest shock of my life, Mia was standing right there at the kitchen door. How come I didn’t even hear her footstep or even a single sound. . I wondered, staring at her with concentration.
“Why are you standing there?.” I asked her but she just ignored me and walked right past me towards the freeze.
“Hey didn’t I just ask you a question. Why were you standing by the kitchen door and we’re you eavesdropping on my phone conversation, and how long have you ve standing there?.” I asked her all at once, she still ignored me, she opened the fridge and takes out a bottle of water, gulped the whole thing down and throws the empty bottle inside the trash can.
“Mia, are you ignoring me?.” I asked her shocked, she looks at me coldly, them walked past me and out of the kitchen. Okay, I am one hundred percent sure, that’s she is ignoring me but why is she ignoring me. Aghh, I can’t believe this girl right now, she’s just so unbelievable. I was about leaving the kitchen when Mia, walked back in with a pen and paper in her hand.
“What do you have there?.” I ask her, my eyes on the book. Stretched the book to me, and I frowned taking it from her, there was something written on the note, and so I read it.
I looked at her in shocked, she doesn’t mean this right, like she’s not going to talk to me. She hands me another paper and so I took it from and read what’s on it.
Wow, she could have said all of this a while back ago, instead of getting me worried, what the heck is even wrong with her brains, I shaked my head at her and in return she huffed at me and then walked out of the kitchen in angry steps.
Flashback.
“Meun Soo, why won’t you talk to me, why are you ignoring me?” Li jie yelled walking behind little meun Soo.
Meun Soo stopped, then turned around and glared at him, she took out a pen and paper from her bag, then wrote furiously on the paper and hands it over to Li Jie. Hmm.. I guess for now, I should have to go meet Mr Eli and then I will think of what to do with Mia but I don’t know why, but what she just did felt really familiar.
Mia’s POV
I watched as Xander drive out of the compound, a smirk appeared on my face, as I stared at my wrist watch a red dot light blinking on the watch. You see, that red dot is no other person but Xander clark, yeah, I put a tracker on him, while he was asleep this morning. I put on my soy dress, it would help me blend in with the environment and it would be hard for anyone to detect me.
I walked out of the room, then climb down stairs and got out of the house, and head straight to the garage where my bike is packed. I got in the bike, put on my helmet and start the bike.
You see Xander clark, I will not only spark up some old memories in your brain but I will also stop you from killing any other innocent soul.
