Hazard’s grip on Pispa’s arm didn’t loosen as he pulled her into an empty office, the door slamming shut behind them. He backed her against the wall, his chest inches from hers, his breathing rough.
“You like pushing me, don’t you?” he growled, his eyes blazing with possessiveness. “Playing with fire, Pispa.”
Pispa’s breathes was her only response, a fear in her eyes.
Hazard’s control snapped. He leaned in, his lips claiming hers in a fierce kiss, leaving no doubt who she belonged to.
Jeez..
Hazard shot the thought out of him mind, c’mon how could he have thought of that?
Kissing?
Yuck.
“Nothing..? Are you telling me the truth?” Hazard said, his hands stuck in his pockets. But his eyes had a doubtful hints.
Pispa nodded. “I.. I haven’t lied to you.”
Hazard inhaled. “You have to be careful with that guy.” He said his eyes felled on Wayne’s car leaving.
“Go get the files. We have a meeting to attend.” He added and Pispa nodded leaving.
“You better be telling me the truth..” he exhaled. Heading back to the office, he was peeping out of his office when he caught the two discussing and he felt furious.
He knew Wayne was up to something—something he couldn’t place his hands on but had to make Pispa far away from him.

Paula plopped on the sitting room couch tiredly, she was so tired for a long journey to see her mother.
“Ma’am, you are home?” Four asked and she looked up, nodding as she relaxed on the chair very well.
“Get me a juice.” Paula said.
The Four nodded leaving.
“Where is Corey? Did he leave with Hazard?”
“Well.. he’s home… with.. Uh..”
“Mum..” Corey said with a very charming smiles. “How was your trip? Did Grandma got me something?” He smiled.
Four bowed leaving, his eyes was filled with secrets to tell.
“No. Grandma is angry you don’t wanna visit.” Paula cooled
“I will surely visit her. I just need sometime to be happy.”
“You didn’t go to the company with your brother?” Paula asked surprisingly. “C’mon Corey, you have to learn somethings.. I mean when Hazard isn’t around you have to be there for him.”
“I know mum but Hazard doesn’t want me rather he prefer some random girl.” Corey sighed. “Well. I like it that way.” He breathed
Paula’s eyes dilated. “Did he have a new PA?”
Corey chuckled. “A new PA could be better. That’s a girl he is flirting with.” He Jibbed. “He is so possessive of her. And she lives with us.”
“Crumbs..” Paula gushed. “Wow.. I mean.. Hazard doesn’t want any girl beside him and she..?” There a hint of happiness in Paula’s eyes.
“Why do you look happy?” Corey asked, he felt a pang of jealous washing down him, he nearly roll his eyes on his mother but held himself.
Paula nodded. “Do you know how much I wish to see Hazard with a lady? This news tingles my heart. I can’t wait to see this lady.”
Corey rolled his eyes. “I got a place to go. Well, I need to see Chris.” He added as he picked his mother’s car keys leaving.
“Hope you didn’t talk about my grades with Granny?” Corey voice was heard.
“She raised the case, she was so mad.” Paula sighed. “I told her you aren’t serious with your studies.”
Corey didn’t say anything, the bang from the door was heard, indicating that her had left the room.
“This is good news.” Paula smiled. She isn’t in to mind Corey’s behavior. She doesn’t care.
Hazard want to get get connected to a lady? She smiled.
Four reentered. “Here.” He said proffering her a cup of juice. He was about to leave but Paula called him back.
“Who is the girl?”
Four exhaled. “Uh.. The same hostage.” Four replied quietly. “She is now working as his chief chef.”
Paula sighed. Her finger clicking on the cup in her hand. “Did you notice a romantic moves from Hazard?” She looked up at him.
Four’s lips part. “N.. nope.” He spluttered. “I hardly stay with Hazard.”
“Now. I want you to monitor those two okay?”
“Ma..”
“I will double your pay.” Paula smiled.
Four was mute. Paula knew she had got him. “Whatever moves you notice. Sent to me okay?”
Four nodded leaving. He wanted to tell her some about Corey but he had to kept shut.
AT SCHOOL
August was at the rooftop, he was overlooking the city, his hands was stuck in his pockets, the wind was hitting his skin, he wasn’t thinking straight, last two nights incident was driving him crazy.
He felt like he made a deep mistake that night.
He felt a tap on his shoulder. ” Hey Buddy, Here you are? You have been acting bizarre today.” Tommy’s voice was heard as he stood beside him.
“You kept writing craps on the paper.” Tommy began. “You failed maths which you haven’t done and shouts back at teachers… to worse it all you came late. And fought Jerry. What’s wrong dude?”
August sighed heavily as he looking up at Tommy. He licked his lips as he returned his gaze back to the view. “Look Tom, it is too hard for me. She shouldn’t be with someone like that. We all know who DeHavilland’s are.”
Tommy’s nodded understanding. “I know but.. I think she will still find her way out.”
“She will?” He chuckled awkwardly. “C’mon Tommy this is bullshits. She needs me so much now. I think I’m not supposed to be called her boyfriend since I couldn’t protect her.” August sighed. There was a dart of pains in his eyes.
“What are you planning to do?”
“Maybe we should just track them again. Since that’s what you are good at.”
“What?” Tommy widened his eyes. “So gross, do you want him to trace us? He’s got a biggie connections.”
“Look, I know it is difficult but..”
“Hey August.” A teacher shortened August and they turned towards him. August exhaled furiously. “Done cleaning the toilet?”
“Mr. Rowan..”
“Now.” He ordered.
“I’m gonna join you.” Tommy assured August with smiles “Mr. Rowan is the gloves, detergents and water ready?”
Mr. Rowan didn’t say anything to him. “See me after the washing” He said to August. He just sighed walking away.
August fought in the class with his rival in school and they were asked to wash the toilets.
“He will be fine. Just going through some trauma Mr. Rowan.” Tommy said with a lopsided smiles before he walked away.
Mr. Town sighed. “Twat.”
AT HOSPITAL
Edwards was responding to treatment, his eyes was opened, Dulcie was beside him with the brightest smiles ever.
“Dad. You are awake?”
Edwards grunted as he tried to sit up on the bed.
“No no. The doctor say you shouldn’t stress your head.” Dulcie rushed his words and Edwards reclined.
“Does it hurt that much?” Dulcie asked. “Your head.” he added.
Edward nodded. “It hurts like hell.”
Dulcie gave out a small smiled. “I’m sorry Dad. We didn’t know this would happen to you.”
“It is not your fault. No one knows.”
Dulcie nodded.
“Your mum? And Mel?”
“They left to get us something to eat.” Dulcie voice cracked into cries. “Dad. Who could have done this to you?”
“Dulcie. Don’t blame yourself. It isn’t your fault okay?”
Dulcie nodded.
“Come here.” Edward said, he came into his father’s arm. “I’m sorry I made you guys worry.”
Soon the door cracked open and Leo walked inside with Pinky.
“Dulcie, I heard your dad got attacked, how is he?” Leo was blabbing but he kept shut when he saw father and son in each other’s arms.
“Uh.. I’m sorry.”
Dulcie and Edwards disengaged. Dulcie eyes contorted into a deep fury when he saw Pinky. “What’s she doing here?”.
“Trust me, she only came to see your dad.”
“I don’t want her here.” Dulcie said “She might be here to mock me.” He lowered his voice.
“Dulcie, I’m sorry, what you heard isn’t true. He is just my friend.”
“Bullshits!” Dulcie yelled. “Get out, I don’t want shout because of you.”
“Dulcie, what’s wrong?” Edwards asked.
“Dad she is someone I don’t know.”
“I m sorry Dulcie.” Pinky sobbed.
“Leo, take her out.” Dulcie turned to Leo who was confused. “I don’t want to see her, She traumatized me.”
“Pinky. Maybe you should visit next time.” Leo said in low tone. “I’m sorry.”
Pinky stared at Dulcie who wasn’t looking at him and left in tears with the loud bang from the door.
“Why did you bring her here? You knew what she did but you brought her along with you?” Dulcie snorted
“I’m sorry, you followed me about like a kid and I don’t have any option.”
Dulcie didn’t say anything, he just left with fury in his eyes.
“Who is she?” Edward had to asked because the drama they displayed in front of him was confusing.
“Uh.. his girlfriend.”
“They why is he furious?”
“She cheated on him.” Leo said. “Case closed. Now let’s talk about you. How is your head, hope it doesn’t hurt much?”
Edward nodded. “Yeah.”
“I got some fruits.” Leo smiled happily.
AT THE SITTING ROOM
Pispa’s phone buzzed, she was busy with a work in the laptop, she dropped the laptop aside, it was a message from Mel.
Mel: How are you doing?
Pispa: Not okay. (She sighed) I have been working all night.
Mel: I just wish that man could die in a motor accident.
Pispa: (laughed) I wish too. How is Dad? Hope he is responding to treatment?
Mel: Yeah. August came visiting. He looked so sad.
Pispa: (exhaled) I just wish he could stop thinking about me for a while. I miss him so much.
Mel: I’m sorry.
Pispa: it is okay.
Mel: Your boss’s kept coming and he said he literally sent you loads of messages and you aren’t replying.
Pispa: I can’t respond to him. He is the reason I clearly on this. Without him I shouldn’t meet this psycho.
She heard sounds. *I will talk to you later.*
Mel: The devil is he there? Fire should strick him. (She cursed)
Pispa: I will talk to you later. She dropped her phone.
Hazard’s text flashing on her screen: “How was your discussion with Li?”
She typed quickly: “Yeah. He’ll commit $500million to the academy. Wants a board seat.”
Hazard’s response was immediate: “No board seat. He gets 1 advisor role.”
Pispa sighed, typing: “I’ll push it.”
Pispa’s fingers flew across her keyboard, finalizing the email to Li with the counteroffer. She sent it with a satisfied sigh.
Pispa pulled up the proposal on her laptop. “We break ground next month. Li’s advisor will oversee finances… and we’ll make sure he doesn’t mess with your vision.” She added.
Hazard didn’t reply again. He wasn’t home and no one is helping out, she found her new word boring and a Hardy.
Some hours later. Pispa had slept off at her study, her hair felled at the corner of her face. Her head embed on little hand which stretched out, her laptop was still opened.
Maybe she slept unknowingly. She had a lot of work to deal with. They had a lot of investors. And she’s trying to figure out who to choose. Her phone had buzzed many times but she wasn’t taking her calls.
Hazard staggered inside, he looked around the room and spotted Pispa on the table, she was sleeping already.
Fuck.. she was snoring and he could heard the sound from where he was standing.
Gosh. Hazard hate that so much.
He walked closer to her, her hair had scattered over her face and some papers had flew down on the ground, some were piled on the table, and an empty cup of coffee was dropped beside her hand, the dim light from the laptop were glimmering.
“Gosh.” He gushed. His face twitched in a disgust as he used one of his hands to cover his ear. “She is too nosy.”
Pispa rolled on the table, as she tossed at the edge of the table as a matter of facts. No chance to roll on again.
Or maybe another attempt to roll again, grant a loud thud on the floor.
Hazard watched her for a while and decided to picked those papers on the ground.
Pispa sighed again, perhaps she thought she was in the bed.
Hazard stood to look again, the noise was becoming too much, furiously he opened his mouth to talk but kept it shut when he saw Pispa had rolled again and now she was out of the table.
Well… She had rolled out but Hazard was very fast to caught hold of her. She aren’t waking, but she just licked her lips and muttered some funny words sleepily, she just felt so relax on his arms and Hazard was so shocked.
She is a deep sleeper.
She ain’t noticing anything?
His eyes was fixed on her face. His gaze softened. “She could be kidnapped without realizing?” He muttered.
The door cracked opened. “Hazard, you…” Paula was saying when she saw them in the position. She heard some noise downstairs and decided to check up but meeting them like this?
Four was right on what he said.
Hazard looked up seeing his mother, her mouth was parted surprisingly.. and that pissed him off.
He hate it.
But… when did she returned?
So awkward right now.
