Pispa’s jaw clenched. “I’ll dress however I want.”

Hazard’s smile was infuriating. “Good. I like it when you fight.”

He turned to leave. Pispa’s voice cut sharp. “Why do you even care?”

Hazard paused, his gaze intense. “Because, Pispa, you’re mine.”

The word hung, making Pispa’s skin crawl. She turned back to her pastry, her hands shaking.

The kitchen was silent, except for the sound of Pispa’s angry chopping. What was she gonna do?

Pispa’s knife slammed into the dough, her anger boiling over. The kitchen door swung open, but it was just Marcus, checking on her.

“You okay, Pispa? You’re gonna chop through the counter.”

Pispa’s gaze snapped up, her breathing ragged. “Fine.”

Marcus’s eyes narrowed. “Hazard’s getting to you, huh?”

Pispa’s laugh was bitter. “He’s everywhere.”

Marcus leaned in, his voice low. “Be careful. He doesn’t play.”

Pispa’s anger flared. “I don’t care.”

Marcus backed off, hands up. “Alright, chef. Just… watch yourself.”

Pispa turned back to her pastry, her mind racing. Seven PM…

The air hung heavy. What was Hazard planning?

Pispa’s phone buzzed, snapping her out of her thoughts. A text from an unknown number: He’ll pick you up at 7. Don’t try anything.

Pispa’s eyes narrowed. Like she’d listen.

The kitchen staff started wrapping up, prepping for the day’s end. Pispa’s anger simmered – what was she gonna wear?

She stormed to her small apartment above the company, ripping through her closet. Black dress, heels… like Hazard wanted.

Pispa’s eyes landed on a sharp pantsuit. Screw him. She’d wear that.

Pispa slipped into the pantsuit, her anger fueling her movements. She styled her hair, her makeup sharp.

At 7, the door buzzed. Pispa’s heart skipped – Hazard was punctual.

She opened the door. Hazard stood, his eyes raking over her. Approval flickered.

“Ready?” he said, low.

Pispa’s smile was cold. “Let’s go.”

Hazard led her to a sleek car, driver waiting. Pispa slid in, her anger simmering.

Hazard leaned in. “You look… fierce.”

Pispa turned away, her voice icy. “Where are we going?”

Hazard’s smile was dark. “Dinner. With me.”

*

Hazard’s grip on Pispa’s arm tightened as he pulled her into the hotel lobby. Pispa’s anger flared – she wasn’t some possession.

At the table, Hazard ordered for her. Pispa’s voice was ice. “I’ll order.”

Hazard’s smile was lazy. “Try the seafood. It’s good.”

Pispa’s eyes narrowed. She reached for water. Hazard’s hand stopped her. “Not that. Wine.”

Pispa pushed it away. “I don’t drink.”

Hazard’s gaze locked on hers, a challenge. Pispa stood. “I need air.”

Hazard’s voice was low. “Sit.”

Pispa didn’t. She walked to the balcony, anger boiling. Hazard followed, his voice near her ear. “You’re playing with fire.”

Pispa turned, her voice venom. “I don’t play.”

Hazard’s eyes glinted in the night.

The city lights blurred as Pispa leaned on the railing, Hazard’s presence suffocating. “You’re gonna get tired, Pispa.”

Pispa’s laugh was cold. “I don’t.”

Hazard’s gaze dropped to her lips. “You’ll cave.”

Pispa’s anger spiked. “Not to you.”

Hazard’s phone buzzed. He glanced, his expression darkening.

Pispa eyes narrowed. “What are you hiding?”

“I think we have to go.” Hazard said, standing.

“I’m not going anywhere. We just got here.” She snapped.

Hazard grabbed her hands. “You do what I said. Let’s go.” He said leaving with her as she protested.

*

Wayne’s smile lingered as he watched Pispa walk away with Hazard. Alone, he poured himself a drink, his expression calculating.

“Top pay, huh?” he muttered, his gaze drifting to where Pispa disappeared. “She thinks she’s playing Hazard’s game… but she’s the prize.”

Wayne’s phone buzzed. He answered, his voice low. “Get me everything on Pispa. I want to know what she wants.

Wayne’s gaze narrowed as he sipped his drink, his mind racing. “Hazard’s got her locked down, but everyone has a price… or a weakness.” He leaned back, his fingers drumming the armchair. “Pispa’s got fire. I want to know what fuels it.”

The ice in his glass clinked as he set it down. “Hazard thinks he can use her for the deal… but I’ll use her to crush him.”

The night seemed to darken with possibilities.

MOLLY HIGH

Dulcie and Mel was in the school, as they walked slowly, their backpacks slung on their shoulders.

“I don’t feel like been in school today.” Dulcie sighed softly. “I hate maths.”

“Hey, you should put more effort.” Mel said, “You are worst in mathematics, I don’t know who you resemble.” she rolled her eyes.

“You..”

Mel chuckled mockery. “I’m better off than you.”

“Y…”

“Hey. Dulcie. I got to show you something. It is all about Pinky..”

“What happened to her?” Dulcie panicked. “Is she alright?”

Leo didn’t say anything as he dragged him out, Pinky was his girlfriend.

“Crazy.” Mel muttered rubbing her forehead.

“Hey. Mel, what the fuck, am I hearing?” Jelena strode towards her. “Is it not true right?”

“What the fuck?” Mel jibbed. “Don’t tell me you are now a gossip, you listen to what ever people say?” Mel hung her brows surprisingly.

Jelena exhaled. “Is it true?”

“What?” Mel rolled her eyes. “You Suddenly start asking me, is it true? What the hell are you talking about?”

“You sister lives with DeHavilland?” Jelena broke the news. “I’m asking again if it is true?”

Mel arched her brows. “C’mon, who told you that fucking news?” Mel flared up “You..”

“It is all over the internet.. Pispa Haygreen living with DeHavilland… And I know that’s yours sister. ..Mandy and Candy knows..”

“Gosh!” Mel gushed, her hand across her face. She placed about. “That was so fast.” She turned at Jelena. “How…”

“Hey.. ” Candy and Mandy walked in, they were twins as well. “I heard your sister was sold to DeHavilland?” Candy said teasingly, they were making slow steps towards them.

“Or.. she is now their slave for a debt?” Mandy folded her arms, she had a cold smirk on her face.

Mel bite her lower lip, facing Jelena. “I guess I have to leave.” She muttered leaving.

“You not going anywhere.” Candy blocked her way. “I guess you poor family couldn’t afford to pay the debt that’s the reason, they took your sister.”

Mel sighed. “Get outta my way.”

“Ohh are you going hit me?” Mandy jibbed.

Mel shrugged. “Well. I can’t deal with loser.” She took another path leaving, those two were like bug in her life, they always talk down on her.. she wasn’t gonna tell them anything about her family.

Mel was so sad that Candy and Mandy know something about her family.

“Mel wait for me.” Jelena said after her, as she ran.

Candy and Mandy had a smug on their faces. “Now, I will let Max know about this.”

*

Mala was at the studio, she hung her headphone on her neck, her mind was absent.

She was lost in Wayne’s world, since elementary school, she always felt butterflies in her stomach looking at Wayne.

But this step brother’s stuffs was bringing her down. Nike stepped in sitting beside her, but her mind was so far away to notice her presence.

“Hey, care for a drink?” Nika smiled.

Mala sighed slowly, turning at her. She nodded. “Thanks.” Grabbing the cup of drink from her.

“What’s it?”

“Nothing. I just felt down today.” Mala replied slowly. Nika was Wayne’s girlfriend, Mala had envy her so much and had also planned evilly against her.

Soon her phone buzzed.

“What’s that?”

“Your brother.. maybe, he is asking me out.” Nika smiled sweetly, as she grabbed her phone.

“Uh.. I got to go.” She picked her backpack. “See you next tomorrow.. I think I’m so down today, I’m sorry Nika.” Mala said walking away. Her voice was dripping in anger.

Nika sighed. Taking the call. “Wayne.. your sister just left now.. is she okay?” Nike asked her voice became inaudibly.

*

Pispa was at her window, it was dark already, her two arms spread out waging her weight. Her mind drifted to her family, she was so worrisome. “I’m sorry guys. I must find a way out here.”

Soon, her phone rang, Hazard had returned her phone to her, she quickly rushed to her phone to know the caller.

That was Dulcie.

She swipe her finger across the screen of the phone. “Pispa.” Dulcie shivering voice came in. His voice sounded like he was crying.

“Dulcie. Are you okay?”

“Daddy… Someone hurts Daddy.” Dulcie said. “He is at the hospital now.”

“What?” She exclaimed. “Was she badly hurt?”

“I guess.”

“Okay. I will be right there. Tell the doctors to start treatment okay?” Pispa cried, she quickly picked her little purse rushing out of her room, descending downstairs.

“Ma’am where are you going to?” One of the guards said. Pispa was heading to the front gate to leave, she totally ignored his questions.

“Get the fuck out of my way.” Pispa Jibbed, she was trying hard not to cry. Who was responsible for her mother’s attack?

“I’m sorry but I can’t.” The guard insisted. “It is the boss order.”

“Boss my foot.” She Jibbed. “I’m living this hell this night and that’s final.” The tears had formed in her eyes as they glistens.

“I can’t lose my family because of that Devil…” The tears betrayed her. She was crying already. “Just get out of my f+king way.”

“Look here, if you want to save your family, you have to meet the boss… I can’t let you out unless that’s his order.” The guard said.

Pispa breathed. The man aren’t leaving the way. Maybe she has to meet him in person. “Where the heck could he be?”

“At the basement.”

Pispa stormed out to the basement, it looked somehow dim. Pispa’s heart pounded as she crept closer, her eyes fixed on Hazard. He was smoking as he drinks quietly with cold eyes.

His legs were crossed on a small table in front of him, his expression was motionless. The air was thick with tension, the smell of smoke and danger hanging heavy.

“I want to go.” Pispa barked. “Can you just let me go? I need to see my father. He is dying at the hospital.”

“How did you get here?” Hazard said nonchalantly. His voice was low but husky.

“I’m not here for chit-chats. I want to see my mother, someone attacked her.”

Hazard’s eyes snapped up, locking onto hers. Pispa froze, her heart in her throat. He strode towards her, his face a mask of fury. “You shouldn’t be here,” he growled, grabbing her arm.

Pispa’s fear spiked, but she didn’t back down. “I want to get the fuck out of here, Hazard.” she said, her voice shaking with anger.

Hazards grip tightened, his eyes flashing with warning. “You don’t call me by my name.” But Pispa did want to know.

She wanted out, wanted to escape the darkness that was consuming her, consuming them both.

“My father… I don’t want to lose Dad, please can I just go see him? I promise to be right back.” Pispa cried.

“I love him so much… I don’t want to lose him.” She added when he wasn’t saying anything.

Hazard breathed. His eyes was cold, like nothing happened, Pispa’s tears was streaking down from her eyes and Hazard looked away. His eyes so mirthless.

“Please..” Pispa added again. She couldn’t believe she was saying that to the devil’s face. The person she hated so much.
