Meeting Danielle
Kelly watched as Danielle walked back to her room. She too went to the kitchen to get the broom and dustpan to get the broken glasses packed. She sighed a relief breath, Danielle would have found out about her plans.
She was just a little close, but then Kelly did her best to cover up. Though the expression on Danielle’s face couldn’t be explained whether or not she still suspected her, she was sure she had saved herself for the moment.
Meanwhile, while she returned back to the sitting room to get the glasses cleared up, a plan popped into her mind. It was a crazy one but worth it. The idea of having some one in Vincenzo’s mansion keep an eye on Freya was the best option she would have thought about at the initial time.
But the question is… Who?
Myra wasn’t the best option since she was the closest thing to Freya, so finding another person would be better. So she thought hard, so hard for one she would trust.
However, Danielle had a double mind Kelly’s words not to have a plan in mind for Freya. With the way Kelly talked minutes ago, she knew she was up to some thing bad.
They’ve been friends for years now, but letting her do the things that would get her into trouble was some thing Danielle didn’t want. Not like she likes Freya so much, no. All she wanted was Kelly to understand that Vincenzo was never meant for her.
He was never the one fate had chosen for her. She wanted Kelly to understand that things happen for a reason, but it seems Kelly isn’t paying attention. So therefore, some thing must be done.
She needed to get Freya’s number. So she thought of asking Kelly for her phone to call Cynthia, convincing her that she was out of airtime. With that, she’d cram Freya’s number offhand.
“Hey, Kelly. Can I use your phone to call Cynthia? I’m out of airtime and I really need to talk to her. I’m looking for my jewelry, I wanna ask if she used it to go out.”
“Sure.” Danielle smiled inwardly, taking the phone from her hold.
She felt defeated as she scrolled through Kelly’s contact list and couldn’t find Freya’s number. She acted to be calling Cynthia, then she sighed. “Damn, she isn’t picking up.” She said,
“Try it again.”
She decided to go to her message app, where she saw her conversation with a strange number. She scrolled up, checking to see if she’d see Freya’s number in the conversation as she had seen countless notes with Freya’s name written on it.
Almost about to give up, she saw a number and a text after it. “That’s her number, give her a call and lure her to your side. Make sure this works out perfectly, then I will pay you your complete money.”
Quickly, she forwarded the number to her number, then deleted her conversation so Kelly wouldn’t find out that she had dropped Freya’s number to her DM.
Cynthia finally picked up. “Hello, Kelly.”
“It’s me, Dani.”
“Hey. Wassup.”
“I’m looking for my jewelry, did you see it?”
“What jewelry?” Cynthia asked back as she didn’t know what Danielle was talking about.
“Nevermind, I’ll just check my drawer. Thanks.” She cuts the call. “Thanks, hun.” She gives the phone back to her.
“You’re welcome.”
Danielle left back to her room. She shuts the door, then picks her phone from her side pocket. She dialed the number, the phone rang, but no one picked it. She was scared this wasn’t Freya’s number, but nevertheless, she dialed the number again.
This time, some one picked up. “Hello?” said a feminine voice.
“Hello.”
“Who’s this?” She asked calmly.
“My name is Danielle, I’m a friend of Kelly. Can we talk?”
“How did you get my number?” She questioned.
“I took it from Kelly.”
“So, why calling me? To warn me from hanging around with Vincenzo, isn’t it? She must have told you a lot about me so… I should be expecting some thing like that, right?” Her voice sounded a bit rude.
“Look, sweetheart, I’m not the enemy here. If truly I wanted to tell you that, then I wouldn’t have taken your number without her permission. But that doesn’t matter, does it?” Freya didn’t say anything. “Let’s meet up at the cafeteria, 12th downtown. Just the two of us.”
“Why should I trust you?” She snarled.
“I don’t want you to trust me, okay. Just thought you should know some thing you don’t know. I can’t tell you on the phone, so I’ll keep it until we meet at the cafeteria. 9 o’clock.” She cuts the call.
She knew she was doing the right thing, so she has no regret for her actions. On the other side, Freya sat thoughtfully on her bed, thinking of what the strange lady had just told her. She couldn’t trust her, what if this was another way to lure her into some thing dangerous.
But then, she said she wanted to tell her some thing she didn’t know. Freya couldn’t make her decision, she was more concerned about her safety. After the chase, she has promised herself not to trust any one aside from Myra and Vincenzo. She couldn’t even trust herself any more.
She got her ass up from the bed, changing to a different clothes. She left the room, trailing down the stairs and out of the mansions. “Let’s see what you’ve got to tell me.” She zoomed off, heading to the cafeteria at 12th downtown.
As she got to the cafeteria, it was already ten minutes past nine. She dialed the number, “I’m at the cafeteria, where are you?” She asked, her eyes glaring around.
“Look towards your left, I’m at 8 o’clock.”
Freya looked towards her left, directly at 8 o’clock. “What are you putting on?”
“Black hoodie.”
“You’re the lady with the newspaper?”
“Exactly.” Freya dropped the call, walking towards Danielle’s side. “Are you alone?” Danielle asked as she got to her table.
“No one followed me.” Freya said, still standing.
“You can make yourself comfortable, I don’t bite.” Freya sat opposite her. Danielle took the newspaper from her face, staring at Freya with a smile. “Hello, Freya.”
