Up To Something Stupid
Vincenzo’s car glided smoothly through the busy city streets, the rhythmic hum of the engine accompanying the soft music playing on the radio. The midday sun cast warm rays on his face as he drove towards Central Park, he was going to spend hours of his time with Freya there.
When they finally reached the park, Vincenzo parked the car in a shaded spot, and they strolled hand in hand towards a secluded corner where a bench awaited them. The soft rustling of leaves and the distant laughter of children filled the air as they settled down, sitting close to each other.
Vincenzo wrapped his arm around Freya’s shoulders, and they shared an affectionate smile. As they talked, their voices carried with the gentle breeze, a sweet symphony of happiness.
Freya leaned her head on Vincenzo’s shoulder, and he caressed her hair tenderly. They seemed lost in their own world, oblivious to every thing around them.
Unbeknownst to them, Kelly had also come to the park that day, to spend her time alone and probably have a thought of Vincenzo for the last time. Her heart sank when she spotted him with Freya, and a pang of jealousy surged within her.
Hidden behind a tree, she watched them with an intensity that betrayed her emotions.
Seeing them so happy together only made things worse, increasing her bitterness towards Freya. She felt betrayed and believed Freya had stolen the man she loved. Enraged, she clenched her fists, vowing to forget they ever existed, but not before making Freya pay for what she perceived as an unforgivable betrayal.
She had let the woman who took her first love go free, she isn’t letting her guard down this time around. Even if she doesn’t get Enzo back, she was going to do worse than just having him back into her life.
The hours seemed to crawl by as Kelly continued to observe them from a distance. The longer she watched, the more her jealousy grew, fueled by every tender moment shared between Vincenzo and Freya. Her heart ached with the overwhelming desire to confront them, to demand answers and express her pain.
Yet, she hesitated, torn between revealing her emotions or preserving her pride. In the end, she decided to retreat quietly, unable to muster the courage to confront them directly. The weight of her suppressed emotions felt unbearable as she left the park, her heart heavy with sorrow.
“Thanks for bringing me here, it’s beautiful out here.” Freya said with gratitude. “I love the air around, it’s welcoming.”
“I always have the best for my partners.”
“Do you have to be so romantic all the time?”
“If that’s the only way to get you to love me, then I’ll do it for as long as I can offer.”
“You don’t have to.”
“Why?” He inquired.
“Because you don’t have to.”
“Oh, you’re right. I don’t have to be romantic all the time around you. Maybe, I’ll just have to visit the clubhouse and then… probably act so romantic to some one who needs it the most.” He was sounding serious when he said that, and Freya would have almost thought he was real.
“Well, it’s not a big deal. After all, it’s what you do. It’s what you all are known for.” She said, shifting away from him and it was obviously clear to Vincenzo that she was jealous.
“You’re jealous, aren’t you? Besides, you said you don’t want me to be too romantic, didn’t you?”
“Do you really have to take every word I say seriously?”
Vincenzo pulled her closer to himself. “Don’t worry, I was only teasing you. I love it when you get jealous.” He chuckled.
“F+k you!”
“Harder.”
She slapped his hand, eyeing him.
As the days painfully passed by, Kelly struggled to come to terms with her feelings. She couldn’t shake the images of Vincenzo and Freya together, and her jealousy consumed her thoughts.
As Kelly sat there in the dimly lit sitting room, her mind raced with different plans and schemes to get rid of Freya at all cost. She knew it had to be done discreetly and without any trace leading back to her.
The thought of kidnapping Freya and ending her life immediately had briefly crossed her mind, she was ready to take the risk not minding the consequences that are likely to follow after. And since it’s almost like a week now, Vincenzo will have no reason to suspect she has a hand.
So therefore, she needed a plan that was foolproof and would ensure Freya’s disappearance without raising any suspicion. A plan that would make Freya voluntarily leave their lives forever.
As she dived deeper into her thoughts, lost in her plot, Danielle’s presence interrupted her. “Hey, Kelly.”
Kelly quickly composed herself, putting on a nonchalant facade. “Hey.”
“You’re awake? It’s late already, you should be asleep by now.”
“Nah, I’m not feeling sleepy.” She claimed.
“Oh, I see.”
“What about you?”
“Just gonna get a glass of water.”
Kelly nodded her head. “Okay.”
Danielle, although doubtful, chose not to push the matter further and retreated to her room after satisfying her thirst. Kelly breathed a sigh of relief as Danielle left, grateful for the temporary reprieve.
Now, free to continue her scheming uninterrupted, she resolved to gather more information about Freya’s current state of mind and exploit it to her advantage.
After she had come to a conclusion, she smiled in victory, retreating to her room. She knew patience was one thing to get the work done perfectly, but she can’t stand the chance to see that Freya still lives. Maybe… Just maybe, if the plan is successfully accomplished, then she’ll probably leave the state.
“Tell me you aren’t up to some thing brutal.” Danielle said in the dark, causing Kelly to scream in fear.
“F+k, Dani!” She screamed. “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Just wanted to be sure you aren’t up to some thing stupid.”
“Stupid? Why would I be up to some thing stupid? I love my life, okay? I don’t wanna die, at least not yet.” She walked past her, heading for her room.
