“Hey!” Celine said happily barging into my room while I was searching my closest.
“Must I always beg you to knock before coming in?” I asked and she jumped on the bed.
“You know I hate knocking, and I know you hate keeping me waiting. So we are even.” She said laughing and I sighed.
“I don’t know what to wear Celine.” I said sitting on the bed tiredly.
“That’s why I am here.” She said bringing out a cloth from the bag she was carrying.
“You got this for me?” I asked happily picking up the gown.
“I went shopping on my way back. I knew you wouldn’t have anything suitable for the occasion, so I got you this.” She said and I smiled happily.
“Thank you Celine. You are a life saver.” I said trying on the gown. I stared at myself in the mirror and to be honest, i looked extremely gorgeous in it.
It fitted me perfectly, and I wasn’t surprised about that. Celine knows my size and taste when it comes to wears.
“You seem very happy to go on this with Jace.” She said and I nodded.
“Of course I am happy. I haven’t been to a date for years now. I need to get back on my feet.” I said.
“I know but this is not a real date right? You Just want to show Stefan you have moved on.” She said and I sighed.
“I know it’s a fake date, but I need to make it feel real. I have missed things like this.” I added.
“But have you really moved on?” She asked and I turned to look at her.
“What do you mean?” I asked and she sighed.
“I feel you are doing this to get Stefan jealous and regret leaving you. Do you still have feelings for him?” She asked and I breathed out throwing my hands in the air.
“I don’t know Celine. One thing I know for sure is that I missed him so much.” I said.
“Elena, I know Stefan is your first love and since then you have not developed feelings for someone else. But are you even sure he wants you back?” She asked and I nodded.
“I know he does. He wants to see me again but I told him I would be busy. I felt he still wants me Celine.” I said and she reached for my hand and held it.
“I just hope you are doing the right thing. I don’t trust Marcus, I never did. You should do this to be happy, not to gain his attention. He isn’t worth it.” She said and I stood up.
“Time is going Celine. I need my makeup done.” I said changing the topic and she nodded cheering up.
Though I know she wouldn’t give up easily on the matter. She never liked Marcus, but because of me she had to put up with him.
She brought out the make up kits and began to apply the powder on my face with the brush.
“So, what do you think about Jace?” She asked and I looked at her through the mirror.
“Nothing. I am yet to know him, and I guess that’s why we are going on this dinner.” I said and she nodded.
“Trust me, he is a sweet man.” She said and I scoffed.
“How do you know that?” I asked.
“You told me before you told him your answer about the agreement, he told you not to worry that he would help you without anything in return. That’s how a gentle man acts.” She said.
“And yet I am still going on a date with him?” I asked.
“Because you called him yourself to tell him you were interested, because of your revenge on Stefan.” She said.
“Seriously Celine? Can we just forget about this for now?” I asked and she smiled.
“Okay. But I will advice you go with Jace. You are a perfect couple.” She said and I sighed.
“It’s Just an act, more like a contract. So no feelings should be attached, I don’t love him and he doesn’t love me.” I said and she nodded.
“But you know you can talk to me right? I will be here to listen to you and…” She said and I cut her.
“Lash you if necessary. Got it.” I said and she nodded laughing.
“Elena!” I heard mother call.
“Have you told her about your date?” She asked and I shook my head.
“Yet to.” I said and the door opened.
“Elen… Wow, what’s the occasion?” She asked smiling.
“Good evening ma’am.” Celine greeted.
“Hi Celine.” She said smiling widely.
“Mom I have a date.” I said and her eyes widened.
“What? Tell me more.” She said sitting on the bed happily.
“Mom it’s nothing so big.” I said rolling my eyes.
“Of course it is. It’s been years you went on a date. This person must be someone very special.” She said and I shook my head.
“N…”
“Yes. He is someone very special. It’s Jace Bone, the Handsome judge.” Celine rapped cutting me off.
“Tell me it’s a lie.” Mom said happily.
“Mom.” I called rolling my eyes again.
“No wonder he came to you after the presentation. I knew something was up.” She said and I sighed.
“Mom c’mon.” I said feeling a little shy.
“I am so happy. The man looks gentle and loving, Imagine a whole judge coming after a participant.” She said and Celine kept grinning. I bet they were enjoying themselves.
“Elena someone is here for you!” I heard daddy say from down the stairs.
Mom and Celine jumped to the window to check who it was.
“Wow!! He looks so hot in those blazers.” Mother said and I flushed a little.
“Stop making this a big deal.” I said and Celine ran to me hugging me tightly whispering into my ear.
“Don’t you dare let this man go. I will kill you myself.” She said and I faked a smile on my face looking at mom.
“You should not keep him waiting.” She said and I stood up. I wore my shoe already, and when I stood up I was taller.
“Wow my daughter looks stunning.” Mom said and I smiled. I headed out of the room and walked down the stairs and there was Jace waiting for me.
He looked gorgeous.
“Wow. You look beautiful.” He said as soon as I got in front of him and I smiled.
“Thank you, and you look hot too.” I said and he laughed. He gave me his hand and I took it wrapping mine around him.
I looked back and I saw Mom and Celine grinning widely. And Alec, was just staring at me Coldly.
