Mabel was having breakfast with Troy and Leo at the dining table, her mind occupied by the incident of yesterday. Her eyes were distant, and her face was expressionless. Troy noticed that she wasn’t eating
“Is everything okay?” he asked.
“Yes.”she forced a smile, her eyes avoiding Troy’s. She stood up to leave, her movements abrupt. “I will just go get ready for school.”
“You didn’t even touch your food.” His face showed concern. “You don’t like it? I will prepare whatever thing you want to eat right now.”
“There is no need for that, I am not hungry.” She replied firmly. She smiled forcedly and walked away. Troy and Leo exchanged a worried glance.
“You should go check what’s wrong with her? It seems she’s bothered about something.” Leo said calmly.
Troy sighed as he stood up to leave.
Troy entered the room to see Mabel packing her bag, her belongings scattered around her.
“Babe,” he said, moving to her and holding her hand.
Mabel’s eyes flashed with a mixture of emotions, but she didn’t meet Troy’s gaze.
“What’s wrong? Why are you packing your things?” He asked, his voice soft and gentle.
“I am going back home from school.”She said firmly.
“Why? You agreed to spend the whole week with me. Did I do something wrong? Please talk to me.”
Mabel hesitated, her eyes darting around the room before meeting Troy’s.
He caressed her face, “Please talk to me.”
“Troy, is there something you want to tell me? Or maybe something I need to know.”
“What do you mean? I don’t get you,” he asked confusedly.
“Yesterday, when the girls and I were out in our favorite cafe, a lady came to approach us, claiming to be your fiancee and threatened us seriously to stay away from you.”
“A lady?”His eyes widened in surprise, his face contorting in shock.
“Yes, she said her name was…” She paused, trying to recollect the name. Troy’s eyes were fixed on her. “She said her name was Annabelle.”
Troy’s face changed, his eyes narrowing in recognition. “Anna….” He paused, and then suddenly, his expression changed to one of realization.
“You know her?” She asked, her eyes narrowing suspiciously.
“No, she is not….I mean, she is my ex. We departed four years ago when I found out she cheated on me. There is nothing going on between us. I haven’t seen her since four years now.”
“Well, she is back, and she is claiming rights over you…you know the last thing I will do is fight over a man. I don’t have the strength to deal with anything that will cause harm to my child.”
“That will not happen. I promise you, there is nothing going on between us. Please believe me.” He said, reassuring.
“I believe you, Troy. You have to solve whatever issues you have with her. I got threatened by her, I don’t know who she is and what she is capable of. I just want my baby to be safe from stress.”
“I promise to take care of it.”
“Please do.”her voice was firm as She grabbed her school bag and left the room, leaving him looking frustrated.
“Damn it!” he groaned.

Some hours later, Troy invited the guys for a hangout, and they were chilling in the bar. They noticed Troy’s pale look.
“Is everything okay?” Jeff asked.
“No, everything is not fine.” He gulped his drink, his eyes avoiding his friends.
“What happened? Are you having a fight with Mabel or are you having issues with your business?” Shawn asked.
“It’s about Mabel. We had a little talk about something, and now she texted me that she will be staying over at her parents’ place.” he said looking paled.
“What was it about?”Shawn asked curiously.
“It’s about my ex. She came to where Mabel and the girls were having fun at the cafe and made a mess.” He sighed frustratedly.
“Really?” Jeff asked surprisedly.
“Yeah, we broke up four years ago, and I don’t understand why she’s back claiming rights over me.”
“Who’s she?”Shawn asked.
“Annabelle.” He replied, his voice lace with disgust
“Who the f3ck is she?” Jeff asked confusedly.
Just then, they got interrupted from behind.
“Baby!” Annabelle called from behind and rushed to hug Troy around his neck.
Troy turned furious, and he pushed her away. She almost fell but managed to balance herself.
“What the heck!”His eyes blazed with anger.
“Troy, why did you push me off like that?” She asked surprisedly mixed with hurt.
“What are you doing here, Annabelle? Who gave you the right to hug me like that?” He stared at her deadly.
Annabelle’s face turned flirtatious, and she moved closer to Troy. “What’s wrong with the way I hug you? Is it the first time I’m doing this?” She tried to touch him, but Troy’s gaze became even colder. “Come on, Troy, don’t be mad at me anymore. I’m sorry. Please forgive me, and let’s come back together. I miss you.”
“Get out of here, Annabelle. Don’t make me do something stupid.”He warned, his face twisted in disgust.
“Please, hear me out. I’m sorry. Give me another chance. Is it because of that whore you’re with that…” She didn’t complete her statement when Troy’s face turned red with anger. He grabbed her neck. “Troy…” She struggled, her eyes wide with fear.
“How dare you refer to my wife as a whore!” He said , his voice fury.
His friends were enjoying the show, their faces filled with amusement.
“Don’t make me warn you again, Annabelle. Stay clear away from her, or I’ll hunt you down myself.” He pushed Annabelle off, and she coughed, trying to catch her breath.
“It will be better if you leave now.”Jeff said sounding serious.
Annabelle’s face contorted in anger and humiliation.
“Never! This is not over, I know I messed up, I won’t give up on you Troy, I will do anything to have you back,” Annabelle said, her eyes blazing with determination, her face twisted in a mixture of desperation and anger.
“Don’t bother, he won’t come back to you. It will be best if you go back to the hell you came back from,” Shawn said, smirking as he gulped his drink.
“And who the hell do you think you two are to stop me?”She yelled at them angrily.
Shawn and Jeff giggled, rolling their heads in amusement.
“It will be best if you don’t know,” Jeff said, his face still filled with laughter.
“No.” She said, her face twisted with scowl. She moved closer to Troy, caught him by surprise, and kissed him.
Mabel and the girls walked into the scene, shock written all over their faces. The guys were surprised, and Troy’s face turned red with anger.
Troy forcefully pushed Annabelle off, his eyes meeting Mabel’s. Mabel’s face twisted in pain, and she ran off with tears in her eyes.
“Mabel!” Troy called, running after her.
Annabelle smirked with satisfaction, her eyes gleaming with triumph.
Sofia and Nina got angry, their faces twisted in rage.
Sofia moved to Annabelle and landed a hot slap across her face, while Nina grabbed her hair. Annabelle groaned and screamed in pain.
The guys were caught off guard by their women’s actions.
“You sl3t!” Sofia yelled, as they continued to pull Annabelle’s hair.
Their men rushed to them quickly and separated them from Annabelle. Everyone in the bar was looking.
Annabelle got angry and tried to hit back, but Shawn grabbed her hand tightly and squeezed it. She groaned in pain.
“Don’t make me lose my temper and send you to your creator,” He said, staring hard at her.
His men came over and dragged her away as she struggled with them.
