“The fû+k?” Allison rose to her feet with the other guests as the last call of price echoed in the hall.

Yeah, it’s exquisite. Yeah, the crocheting work is out of this world and never seen before, but 9.9billion?

They wanted to see who, lay a glance on the mouth of whoever said that, but no one saw nothing.

From the angle he stood on the second balcony, only Seraphina could catch a glimpse of his green eyes.

And Tobias.

Tobias is looking at the green too, clear from the first balcony he stood on. He could only see the eyes cos the shadows of the dark balcony covered the face, but those eyes were all he needed to confirm who.

Only one person had those stupid green eyes.

Back in elementary school, this person was in his last year, but he still managed to look young like his juniors cos of his insufferable babyface and those green eyes.

Vince St. Graves.

Uncle Will’s son. The bastard who hates Tobias even more than Dean hates him. He hates Tobias madly.

The cigarette burned away wastefully between Tobias’s fingers, and the ash dropped on the floor.

“Get that bitch.” He murmured.

He didn’t have to say it louder or twice. All the Odds behind him scattered, going after Vince.

Vince’s green eyes disappeared from behind that curtains immediately as if he sensed they were coming for him. The Odds met emptiness, but they went beyond the balcony, jumping down the tall railings.

Immediately they descended, a really small ball smashed the floor, and poisonous foul-smelling smokes erupted. The Odds used their arms.

Over their noses, they crossed the smokes and saw the backdoor open, went for it with another run.

No Vince. No weird car. No trace.

It’s as though he vanished.

Migos didn’t cuss, surprisingly. He calmly brought a small pill bottle out from under his suit.

He swallowed one of the pills then threw the bottle to the rest.

“Take one each, that m+therf+ker used poisoned smokes, your livers might be at risk.”

“Migos being kind?” One of them said.

“I’m expected to take care of y’all in the absence of Rose, fuckers. You want me to take your livers instead?” Migos rolled eyes crankily.

“In the absence of Rose?” Jude came closer. “Rose is just upstairs.”

“You talk like you’re tired of breathing, always.” Migos stated.

Jude ignored him, staring at the silent underground park.

“He escaped.”

“Because today isn’t his day,” Migos replied, too collected.

“What do you mean?” Jude asked.

“If Rose is really interested in catching him today, he’d follow him personally and not send us.” Migos explained shortly.

[Inside The Hall]

Seraphina is now staring at her phone with shocked eyes, counting the zeroes behind the cash that has just been sent to her account.

It’s 9.9

Not in thousands, not in millions, it’s in billions, from Vincent Dawson.

Now the bank froze her account, and within one minute, she received more than ten messages and notifications from the bank, demanding explanation on the huge deposit she just received.

They’re summoning her for a proper meet and talk.

She nearly gulped, but she stopped herself, just staring at the phone screen and the name of the sender.

Vincent Dawson.

That was the name she knew with him back then.

Vince wasn’t a student. Vince was a teacher in her highschool.

A teacher with a really pretty babyface and rare green eyes, that’s why the students called him the prettiest boy in school.

He was friendly with his fellow teachers and even more friendly with his students. In class, he smiled while delivering his lectures, and Seraphina as the outcast received attention from him too.

While other teachers never cared about if she knew their topics or not, Teacher Vince would come to her table, explain privately to her and make her understand a bit.

The day she secretly entered the pool hall to swim and she was disgraced by the whole school, it was Teacher Vince who came to her rescue too.

Whenever her parents said she didn’t deserve breakfast before coming to school, Teacher Vince cooked from home and brought it to school for her to eat. They shared moments…too many moments, so when he asked her to be his girlfriend despite him being eight years older, she said yes.

They even went as far as making a blood oath—a sacred covenant.

Only for him to betray her, take her virginity and disgrace her at Kimmy’s orders. He broke her.

But now…

He’s suddenly here and made the highest donation on her work?

Why the hell is he back on her important day of success?

Why did he appear to taint this moment with his presence?

Why is he here to ruin again?

As she stood in the center of the hall with her crochet behind her like her shadow, she felt the hall thinning.

Everyone began leaving.

It’s over anyways.

Someone bought the work, so it’s definitely over.

Seraphina couldn’t move, till Allison came over, looking as shocked too.

“Girl!” She grabbed Seraphina’s shoulders. “Who was that! He bid that much and even said something about being the only one for you? The hell? What’s going on?”

Seraphina showed her phone screen, and Allison gasped.

“He sent it to your account already? Your account is even frozen and…how did he know your acc…..”

Allison stopped talking when her eyes caught the name of the sender.

“Vince Dawson?” Her eyes widened. “Wait… like the Vince I know? Your highschool teacher who tricked you to become his girlfriend?”

“Yeah…” Seraphina nodded.

“What!!!” Allison screamed. “Wait for me, if I get my hands on that bastard!” Allison rushed away.

“Allison!” Seraphina called her, but she was too far gone to hear.

Seraphina bracketed her fingers, stepping back from the center. She looked up at the first balcony, and her eyes caught the blue eyes staring down at her intently.

Her breaths caught as she froze once again. He was here all along?

“Tobias.” She mumbled.

But Tobias choose that moment to turn around and leave the balcony.

She left the hall too, knowing he’s probably leaving for the park, and she was right. Getting to the park, she saw him just entering his car.

She rushed over, wanting to get in with him, but Migos blocked her.

“He’s in a sour bad mood, don’t further ruin it.”

“I just want to talk to him!” She argued with him. “I wanna talk!”

“And I said he’s in a really shitty mood, he doesn’t wanna talk!” Migos nearly pushed her.

Jude pulled him back.

“He said she can enter.” He said.

Migos shifted away grudgingly, and Seraphina entered the car.

Jude moved the car immediately she sat beside Tobias at the back.

Tobias is back at smoking his stuff, and he looks like he’s really in a shitty mood cos his eyes are harder than they were when they first met.

“I….” She began. “I didn’t expect him to come. It’s been years since he did what he did to me, and I thought he was dead when I didn’t hear anything from him, so….”

“How many weeks did you date him for?” He cut in with a question.

“Two months.” She muttered.

“And he took it at a cinema, your virginity.” He mentioned.

She bit her tongue before replying.

“Yes. He rented out the whole cinema, payed for a rated movie, and as we watched, we—”

“Enough!” He snarled.

Seraphina looked at him.

He’s looking at her now, and there’s no difference between him and a tied bull trying to break free.

He looks red, both in the eyes and on his ears, a sign of irritation and rage.

“What else did you do with your so-called boyfriend?” He asked.

“I was—”

“If you cut out any info, I’ll find it, and we’ll never be cool.” He said.

“I…” Seraphina hesitated, looking him in the eyes and ashamed to say out her own folly and idiocy. “Blood oath. We made blood oath.”

“Interesting,” Tobias leaned back, eyes redder, but it’s obvious he’s trying to contain himself with the way he puffed hard into his cigar.

“What were the words?” He asked.

“Don’t make me do this.” She declined, too embarrassed.

“What words did you say, Sera?” He repeated, stern.

“Tobias—”

“What words did you f+kin say!” He yelled, livid.

“No matter how much he hurts me, so far he tells me he loves me, I’ll always go back to him.” She confessed shamefully.

Tobias dropped his cigar on the car ashtray with practiced calm before facing her completely.

“Do you need me to find him and receive a ‘I love you’ recording from his mouth to you? That’s all you need to go back to him now.” He said.

“That was my naivety period, I was innocent and knew nothing!” Seraphina defended herself.

“What the fuck did he give you? Breadcrumbs of attention? The way he cooked for you and tutored you privately on your desk? The way he smiled at you and flashed those stupid green eyes around? That was all you needed to see before making a fucking blood oath with him? So far he says he loves you?” He laughed

“Tobias…” She sounded broken again.

“I was right all along. A Stupid Dog will forever belong in that category of losers.” He muttered.

Seraphina gasped, losing it.

“I was unloved! I was hated by both my parents and sisters and even the teachers and my classmates!!! My sisters didn’t want anyone to know I was related to them, so I was only allowed to bear Seraphina Red without the double D, so no one knew I belonged to the Redds cos I was the most unkempt of the students.”

“My socks were always dirty cos I wasn’t allowed to wash, and my uniform always smelled like fish cos my sisters would always pour sardines oil on it just to make me suffer! My hair was always oily cos I had no washing soap. The day I stole washing soap from Genevieve’s bathroom, she nearly killed me and made me swallow the washing soap! It had to be surgically removed!”

“I was locked up every five days of the month to menstruate in the estate cellar, I menstruated on the floor, of the cellar, no pads! No food, only water! No one wanted me, no one liked me! At age 10, I suffered from bodily and facial rashes cos I had no cream for my skin….”

Seraphina broke down completely, crying madly in the car.

“I was never looked at, never attended to. At home, I was only allowed to go out at night cos I was the family shame. When Teacher Vince arrived like an angel, I was bound to follow him like a fool so don’t you dare do that! Don’t call me stupid for it! Yeah, you were sidelined as a kid too but you stood strong and never broke, but not everyone can stand strong and withstand. I was weak as a child, I saw hell!!”

She wiped her tears as she said the final word, but fresh tears fell from her eyes, wetting her cheeks and entire face more.

But in all, Tobias said no word. He stayed silent, staring at the cigar that’s burning away on the tray.

He didn’t look at her teary face. Not once, at all. He wouldn’t.

“And don’t act like I’m special to you too,” she added. “After all, this is all just a deal, and I’m like your toy.”

The car entered the Oddsion compound, and Jude took it slow till they arrived at the park.

“I’m glad you called yourself a fool in-between your words, cos you are….” Tobias spoke. “A Stupid one.”

Then he got down from the car and entered the Oddsion.

Seraphina doesn’t even know how to come down from the car.

She sat there, sobbing like a baby, wiping and releasing new flow.

Jude looked back from the driver’s seat, pitifully.

“I think you need to know this…”

Seraphina looked up slowly.

“Migos said Vince is Boss’s cousin.” Jude continued.

Seraphina’s eyes widened.

“Yeah, he’s Vince St. Graves. He’s Uncle Will’s only son, but Uncle Will once disowned him cos he’s a chronic outlaw who always got Uncle Will in trouble. When he got disowned, he left Uncle Will for years. I think that must be when he came to your school to teach under the surname Dawson.” Jude explained clearly.

“No….” Seraphina shook her head in disbelief. “No…that’s not…”

“Other Odds might lie to you and dislike you bad, Seraphina…” Jude said. “But not me. I heard the story you told, and even me who grew up in the streets, I had a better life than you. I pity you, seriously.”

And with that, he left the car.

Seraphina’s head blanked, making a straight noise.

She didn’t even know her phone was ringing in her hand till the second ring began, and she picked it up.

“Hey, Phina, you left the hall?” Allison’s voice came.

“Lis,” Seraphina sniffled. “Vince…I just found out he’s Tobias’s cousin…”

“You gotta be kidding me!” Allison sharply replied. “What!”

“I swear….” Seraphina sobbed again.

“Oh no…”

“And I made a blood oath with him, and Tobias found out, and—”

“Wait…blood what??” Allison cut in. “You never told me that!”

“Allison, I wish I met you earlier, I just wish I met you earlier….I wouldn’t have made these stupid mistakes, I wouldn’t…”

“Calm down, shawty, calm down.” Allison said. “Where’s Tobias now?”

“He went in, angry as f+k. He wasn’t even looking at me, like he was disgusted and irritated…”

“Shit, and your crochets are everywhere, Phina. You’re the hottest lady in town right now. Your 9.9B auction is airing everywhere, then your crochets ads too….”

“What do you mean crochets ads?” Seraphina sniffled.

“Check the internet, girl. You’re the most talked about female in the world right now.” Allison said.

The call ended, and Seraphina only had to click Google. She’s the top three most searched topic.

American Seraphina’s crochets.

American Seraphina’s Ethereal Genesis auction.

American Seraphina’s body goals.

On the crochets search, she lost her breaths when she clicked on it. Her adverts are everywhere.

Everywhere, really.

And it’s not a plain ad. It’s a modeled advert. Female Odds are the models who modelled for it. Everyone of them appeared in every slide, especially Yalda. Yalda looks like the big sister of the brand owner cos her pictures are more than the others.

She modelled so hard, wearing every batch of her crochets.

Even the male jackets she crocheted, the male Odds modelled crazily for it.

Billboards, advertisement screens, LEDs, across fifteen countries.

It’s everywhere.

Then her 9.9B auction. Every TV is struggling to air it and say their opinions, belong in the gist.

And her body goals, videos of people saying their opinions about her. There are dark rumours that she did BBL and breast implants.

Some even said she had liposuction.

Seraphina quickly dropped her phone cos it suddenly felt too hot.

She’s EVERYWHERE, truly.

She’s the most talked about.

The most sought-after.

The most searched.

The most popular female globally right now, all within a day.

She looked at the Oddsion building, wiping her tears slowly.

—

Inside the Oddsion, Tobias went straight to the core where Estelle is getting tutoring from Yalda.

“Wrath,” Yalda dropped the pointer she’s holding. “I released the ads online like you ordered, and—”

“No talks about that part.” Tobias interrupted coldly.

“Sure,” Yalda mumbled, knowing something is off immediately. “By the way, she’s doing well.” She pointed at Estelle who’s sitting behind a desk.

Estelle stood quickly.

“I will not disappoint you.” She said.

“I’m actually hoping you do,” Tobias smirked. “I want to feed Grimm and watch him eat, and you look like what he’d like to eat.”

Estelle nodded.

“I won’t disappoint, sir.”

Tobias left the room, and Yalda returned her eyes to the projector.

“What went wrong at the auction?” She wondered aloud.

—

Tobias went to the system center where Odds are taping relentlessly on laptops next.

Sighting him, they all stood, and Migos entered too.

“Rose, you need us to find Vince right now?” He asked.

Tobias ignored him and focused on the Odds in front of him.

“Find everything you can find about Vince St. Graves. Where he has been since ten years ago, and what he has been doing. Get me records of his everyday movements even his bathroom hours, when he eats and drinks water and when he sleeps. Every damn thing.” He ordered.

The Odds replied him with their shuffling. Everyone of them got back in front of their laptops.

They began working.

“You’re checking first?” Migos asked.

“After he graduated highschool, Uncle Will disowned him, and he left home. As a rascal and a bastardized wank, I expected him to rot somewhere, but he’s obviously been living longer than I expected. He’s alive and bold enough to come to the auction and trash 9.9B. I underestimated him, and now he’s underestimating me. I hate playing like this, I dislike searching from the scratch! I want everything. If I’m going to go after him, I need everything on him.”

“I know,” Migos sighed. “And you’ll get it, trust the system handlers.”

“Get me the name of that highschool he tutored at.” Tobias said.

Just few taps, and one of the handler Odds got it.

“Juniper Highschool.”

“And the private cinema around the highschool?” Tobias asked.

“Juniper Cinema. The two are owned by the same person.”

“Migos, get to the school and the cinema before the end of today. Plant a detonator in both properties and destroy it to the ground.”

“Yes, Ro—”

“Actually,” Tobias faced him. “I’ll go by myself. I’ll handle it.”

Then he left the room.

Migos followed him.

Seraphina was finding her way to the bedroom when she came across them. She halted.

They walked past her, and she quickly grabbed Tobias’s arm, but Migos slapped her hand away.

Seraphina stood alone, till they went out of her sight.

From the door of the tutorial, Yalda watched with folded arms.

“Fuckin’ knew it. Something happened.”

Even Grimm walked past Seraphina without wagging it’s tail as usual.

Seraphina moved with a heavy chest, and after going in circles for nearly an hour, she finally found the bedroom, but it’s closed.

The only thing she found is her gun laying by the door.

She picked up the gun and went back to take the lift to the starting point.

She easily found the gym cos it has GYM label in front of it.

She entered, and the five Odds she met inside shifted back.

She took off her heels and walked barefoot to the bullet target attached to the wall. She positioned herself, positioned her arm, closed one eye.

She shot with one eye open, imagining the target as Vince, her parents, and her sisters altogether.

She released the first bullet, second, third, fourth.

She didn’t stop.

She kept going, kept hitting.

And they all hit the bullseye.

They all hit the center.

The Odds exchanged glances.

“Knew she was picked for a reason.” One of them said.

—

[Redd Estate – Penthouse]

Again, the family is in obvious crisis. Not because of failure or loss, but because of the most popular female in the world right now.

Seraphina???

They all look stupefied as they stared at the television, watching as all news aired her matter.

There’s no innocent news station that’s not airing the news. Everyone wants to share the expensive latest.

And Seraphina’s pictures and videos are all-over the screens too.

Not just her work is everywhere. She’s also everywhere.

Acosta watched with a secret smile.

Peach is inside, reading.

Dora isn’t watching the news. She sat at the last couch, vaping hard and getting her thoughts together about her next move on Bexley’s case.

Kimmy and her parents are the most disturbed people here.

Genevieve turned off the TV suddenly, flinging the remote.

“She’s all-over the streets, and now on our screens too. She’s dominating? This is nonsense! Utter nonsense!!! We’re still on how Dean got initiated with favoritism, and now this?”

“Wrath is an unbearable bastard. We sabotaged his land, and this is how he hits back?” Marley muttered. “I hate seeing her, but now she’s everywhere like a supernatural being?”

“Who the f+k even bought her work for 9.9?” Kimmy stood. “They said it’s an anonymous person.”

“It’s definitely a foreigner.” Marley said. “Has to be a foreigner.”

“What do we do?” Genevieve asked. “Her success is detrimental to us, you know this. We can’t let this last. She must be dragged down.”

“First, how is the redevelopment plan going, Kimmy?” Marley asked.

“Our evacuation team visited the street twice already, but the people are refusing to move.” Kimmy said.

“Then bring trucks to the street and demolish the houses! Destroy the worthless buildings and let’s see if they won’t move! That land is our next project, and it has to start soon!” Marley scolded, standing.

“I hear you, dad.” Kimmy nodded. “But Seraphina… what’s it gonna be about her? The girl I once poured scratching powder in her bra cannot suddenly rise like phoenix from the ashes, dad. I hate this.”

From Acosta’s seat, he’s listening silently, choosing not to contribute.

Kimmy’s phone rang, and she lifted the phone to sight an unknown number which made her curious.

She stepped away from the living room and picked the call.

“Who’s this?”

“Kimora Redd, aka, Kimmy.” The well-known voice sieved in.

Kimmy jerked, straightening as she quickly moved farther away from the penthouse to the elevator.

“Vincent?” She whispered.

“Knew your ears would recognize my voice. Of course it would, I’m your first boyfriend anyways. We dated so hard you sent me to pretend to love your sister and hurt her.” He sighed like he’s sitting on a dead body.

“Where the hell did you crawl out from? Thought you were dead!” Kimmy muttered, uncomfortable.

“Dead?” Vince grinned. “Kimora, i’m Death myself.”

“And where the hell are you?” Kimmy demanded, tensed.

“Not far from you.”

Kimmy frowned, suspicious.

“You didn’t buy Seraphina’s work, did you? No… No way, you never had the qualities to become rich!”

“Every member of the St. Graves family will always be familiar with insane wealth, bitch. We’re built like that, and even back then when I was disguising as a teacher at Juniper Highschool, I was already building my wealth, bit by bit. I own companies across the world slut, and even your parents would bow!”

“St. St… Graves?” Kimmy stuttered.

“To hell with Dawson, it’s St. Graves, baby.” He laughed. “Someone touched my sister, and I came to teach them a lesson. While teaching them, I’ll teach you too, Kimora. I’ll start by telling you that the stained skirt I gave you back then was stained with tonic, not her virginity blood. You sent me to hurt her, but in the process, I fell hard, and you can’t blame me cos despite the fact that y’all treated her poorly, she was still prettier and had a better body!” He spat.

“What!” Kimmy’s eyes widened.

“Yeah, and she motivated me to work harder, gather more money, more money, more, more money!!!!!!!!” He yelled crazily. “Cos I knew I’d be the one to take care of her later.”

“Vince…”

“Stay calm with your family, and I might spare you.” He said.

“Vincent!!” She screamed as the line went off. She sat on the elevator floor, eyes wide.

“Not possible….” She shook her head, crazily. “Not possible.”

—

[Dean’s Estate]

Wedding bells are already ringing in the estate as Kelly brought in all of her friends to prepare with her for tomorrow the big day.

She looks the happiest alive.

She’s getting to the richest CEO in NYC tommorow.

Who wouldn’t be overjoyed?

She’ll become the First Lady of WIE too. Her joy was brimming, and she has refused to sit still.

Now she’s checking her dress out with her friends in her bedroom.

She kept taking pictures of it as if she’s not going to wear it tommorow.

“As from tommorow, I’ll be Mrs. St. Graves, and the First Lady of the Empire!” She squealed.

“The BBL bitch might be trending today, but tommorow, you’ll clear all the trends and become the news as the latest NYC bride!” Her friends hailed, and they laughed out.

By the door, Dean stood, holding a wine glass as he listened to them with a thin smile on his lips.

Everything is going as planned. Everyone is thinking what he wants them to think.

But he’s curious too.

Who’s the 9.9 anonymous man at Seraphina’s auction?

—

[Kindred Foster Home]

Uncle Will is only at the Memorial Estates from Sundays to Friday.

Saturdays like this, he spends it here at the Foster Home with the orphans.

Saint knew about this schedule, so he came here straight, wearing a suit which he hates so much.

He took off his helmet and barged into the office building. No guards to stop him till he pushed open the office door and entered.

Uncle Will was addressing some of the kids, but he sent them all away instantly as Saint came in.

“You need money?” Will pulled out his cheque. “How much?” He picked his pen, preparing to write.

“Oh, y’all spoil me too much,” Saint laughed. “Look at you thinking I came for money again, uncle.”

“You never come to see me in this Foster Home unless you need money, Saint.” Will scoffed. “Even if your accounts are full to the brim, your spoilt self will still want money.”

“Thanks for the compliment, Uncle.” Saint smiled. “But I raise the bar higher this time. I want the Memorial Estates, not money.” He went straight to the exact point.

Will dropped his pen, frowning.

“What are you talking about?”

“It’s hightime I took over the Memorial Estates, Uncle. Toby is busy with his business, Dean is busy too, and that punk is even getting married tommorow for the second time, so I want the Memorial Estates. You’ve managed it enough, and thank you for your hard work.”

Saint stood, tapping the table.

“I’ll take over on Monday as the CEO, goodbye. Geez, I need to take off this suit!” He complained.

His phone cried in his pocket, and when he saw Tino as the caller, he pocketed the phone back without picking the call.

“It’s my time to play hard to see, Valentino.” He hissed as he left.

Uncle Will reclined on his chair for a minute, then he leaned over.

Saint is a lazy ass who’d never want to take over the Estates of his own freewill unless he was ordered to do so. Who else but Tobias?

Tobias definitely ordered him.

Uncle Will’s fingers interlocked as he battled different thoughts in his mind, but his phone buzzed below.

He picked it up, swiping to see a message bold on screen…

Son: Missed me, Daddy?

Uncle Will’s brows clustered.

—

[Tino’s Place]

Tino threw his phone at the wall after he called Saint for the third time and Saint didn’t pick his call.

The phone broke away.

He finally decided to give Saint a chance to apologize for spending more time with Bexley than him, but Saint choose to ignore his calls?

Tino’s hand was on his hot heat as he went to the freezer, grabbed a bottle of cold water and drank it all.

He squeezed the bottle, imagining it as Bexley. He squeezed till the bottle became an unrecognizable mess.

He threw it away.

“Tino?” A voice he doesn’t recognize called behind him, making him turn.

Xero stood by the door, smiling creepily, how deep his eyes squeezed, balls nearly sinking.

Tino’s countenance switched. “How did you enter? Who are you?”

Xero smiled wider, taking slow steps as if measuring his movements.

“Stop coming closer!” Tino picked an iced block from the freezer, ready to throw. “I just said who are you!!?”

“Haven’t you been curious about your father?” Xero stopped. “Valentino Hallows?”

Tino’s hand went down, creating room for curiousness.

“What do you mean?”

[Tobias’s Oddsion – 7PM]

It’s been an eventful, bittersweet day full of ups and downs within few hours of flipping occurrences.

Seraphina didn’t leave the gym.

Even after she exhausted the bullets in her gun, she sat and backed the wall and just remained there.

The Odds left the gym for her.

She became suddenly popular today. She should be relishing on it and enjoying her fame, but she can’t even do that. She’s too muted to function.

With weak arm, she took her phone and went to the news again.

She’s still trending, even more than before. The night news all displayed her like a heroine on their outlets, but there’s another news she managed to fish out too.

News of an explosion.

Juniper Highschool and Juniper Cinema are both gone.

They were detonated to ruins by unknown bomber, and as she watched the burning buildings on screen, she stood slowly with wide, shocked eyes and racing mind.

They called it unknown bomber, but she knows who.

Who else but him?

It’s Tobias. His name is written all-over it.

She left the gym and did a little rigmarole before she found her way to the kitchen cellar where she took a wine bottle and opened it with a pop.

—

[Slaughterhouse]

Even after bombing the two Juniper buildings to the ground, Tobias wasn’t satisfied.

His head stayed messy.

The system handlers are still on Vincent’s research. It’s going to take all night before they’ll get full notes on his privacy and public life.

He convinced himself he was ready to wait, but he’s not so sure anymore.

During his bombing, a street mole saw him. He brought the mole here to take out the rest of his anger on.

He stripped the man naked, poured permanent glue on the wall and gummed him to the wall like paper.

The man could only cry in agony as Tobias carved his body with a knife.

The lights is dim in the slaughterhouse, and under the bleakness, Tobias looked like a punisher, and the man a scapegoat.

He attached the knife to the man’s chest, cutting down slow, slow…

“You know the most interesting part of the chest?” He mumbled with empty, depraved eyes.

“It can take anything you do to it, so far you have packs of muscles to counter it…but you…you have no muscle, so it’ll hurt.”

With that, he sliced down at once.

“Agghhhhhhhhhh!!!!” The man screamed, not daring to move anyhow as his back is still gummed.

Any careless movement, his back skin will peel completely with the wall.

“Please….” He begged as his blood flushed down his chest, flooding to his legs and feet. “Please!!!! I’ll leave with my mouth tightly closed and will not tell anyone you did the bombing!! I swear with my life!!! I swear with my life sir! Please!!!!!”

“That’d have been enticing if your life is still yours, but it’s not yours anymore…. unfortunately.” Tobias stated icily, sinking the knife down between the man’s chest.

He immediately removed the blade and stabbed him again.

“Ahhhh!!! Ahhh!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!” The man’s cries rolled away, walls echoing with his limitless pains.

“When I was in elementary school,” Tobias started. “A senior called Vincent formed a gang with my twin brother Dean. I was in the school pool, swimming. They poured poison in the pool while I was inside, and I nearly lost my eyes. I got home and went to the graveyard and told the butterflies and spiders who were my only friends. They told me I must never let it go, and I listened.”

“The next day during lunch period in school, I tripped one of them, and his face entered the pot of hot broth soup. He lost his sight. The second one was an aspiring goalkeeper, so I crushed his hands with an hammer in the dark storeroom of the school. Third one was Vince himself. I slammed nails into his knees, and Dean? I gave Dean the biggest punishment, but he hasn’t even started feeling it. Very soon, he’ll feel what I did.” Tobias laughed.

He stabbed the man’s chest again.

“Please…. I’ll do whatever you want!!!!!! Arhhh…. I’ll do whatever you want me to do….don’t kill me!!! Please stop!!!!”

“You should be thankful, only few people get to hear my stories before dying. Are you enjoying it?” Tobias smiled with bloodstained face.

“Please stop…. please stop!!!!!” The man cried for pity.

Tobias inserted the knife into his throat, slicing out the spleen.

The man opened his mouth to scream, but he could only gasp.

“Don’t worry, you can still live without your spleen.” Tobias gave him a little pat. “I’ll return to finish our story, soon.”

He left the knife in his neck and walked out of the slaughterhouse.

Getting out, he took an hanky from an Odd to wipe his bloody face before he returned to the Oddsion.

[10 PM – Bedroom]

Seraphina has been sitting in front of the bedroom for three hours now.

She brought a chair from the tennis room and placed it in front of the bedroom and sat, downing wine.

She knew Tobias was already inside before she came here to sit, so she waited, drinking wine directly from the bottle in large gulps while staring drowsily at the door..

Throughout her sitting here, no Odd has entered the room.

When they need something, they stay by the door, and Grimm brings it to them with it’s mouth.

Grimm is in the room with him.

Seraphina leaned forward, elbows on her knees as her eyes turned drowsier. She kept drinking the wine.

She took her phone, drunkenly clicked on his line and began writing a text to him…

Seraphina: Fine, I was stupid to make a blood oath, but falling for him? I’m blameless. That was just me being being naive. I was….. just…

She pressed delete and wiped the message, deciding to not send anything. She drank the remaining wine in her bottle and stood.

She dropped the bottle and walked to the door, raising her knuckles to knock, but she changed her mind too.

She lowered her hand and began walking back to the chair, only for her eyes to get blurry.

The wine got the best of her, and she went down, fast.

But she didn’t land on the floor. She landed inside big safe arms which cupped her up swiftly.

She was already asleep.

Tobias lowered his lashes, staring droopily at her in his arms.

He clenched his jaws, hard.

His fingers shifted her hair away from her face, sliding the strands behind her ear with intentional, careful gentility.

“Foolish girl. I hate how mad I get when you cry.” He whispered.

TBC.
