A mischievous grin spread through Marley’s lips as he stepped out from between the chair and desk, taking arrogant steps towards Tobias.

“Finally out of your little hole?” He cocked his head. “I mean…the Church you hid in like a coward.”

“I’ve been into a better hole, Marley, and the church compared to it? You don’t wanna start imagining.” Tobias responded blankly.

Seraphina looked up instantly. He’s obviously talking about her.

About last night

Her eyes met him, though she had to crane her neck a bit. She saw him in a different light entirely.

A slim cigar burned away between his fingers, and the rosary is gone, replaced by a different weirdly built necklace.

He feels like a different person. Like a businessman who’s only about his money.

She made sure she didn’t stare too long though. She can’t ruin this.

Her eyes went back to the people in front of them. Marley now stood in front of Tobias.

“What the hell are you doing here?” He queried. Even he, had to look up to meet Tobias’s eyes.

Seraphina swivelled on her heels, facing the angle. “Aren’t you waiting for a landowner?”

“And how is that your cup of tea, Frump! How!” Kimmy stumped in.

She nearly pulled Seraphina by the forearm, but an Odd stepped in-between, blocking Kimmy.

“What is this?” Kimmy chortled proudly. “A Jackie Chan productions? You got yourself guards acting like mafias and shit? Cringe as fuck!”

A black butterfly perched on her shoulder immediately.

She slapped it off with a frown.

Another one perched on that same shoulder, and before she could slap it away, another one came.

And another…

And another…

Till the room became a school of butterflies. Kimmy had to start struggling around, trying to shake them off her clothes.

The hell are they coming from!”

The one holding the butterflies black glass cage is Jude.

He stood in the middle of the Odds, closing the small cage with him.

Seeing the array around, Marley lost the remaining patience he had.

“I said,” his teeth clenched. “Why the f+k are you here?”

Tobias simply took his seat and had a drag from the cigarette, slowly. As if the world and the people around bored him to death.

“Here,” Seraphina pointed a paper at Marley who snatched it off her hand with a grimace.

Seraphina took her seat right beside Tobias. Their seats were so close their thighs rubbed under the chair.

Seraphina liked the head it created, but it didn’t last, cos Tobias created space, separating the thighs.

She looked at him. He’s not looking at anyone, just smoking.

Seraphina locked in.

“You gotta be kidding me!” Marley raised his voice, reading through the paper he’s holding. “Landowner?”

Kimmy was finally able to get out of the butterflies trap. She rushed to her father and snatched the paper.

“What!” Her mouth widened.

“You don’t expect me to believe this shit, do you?” Marley dropped the paper on the table with a thud.

“Allison told you the meeting was happening here, and you came. Now you saw the owners of the land, and you don’t believe your eyes?” Seraphina chuckled. “It’s fun to watch you lose your wings, Marley.”

“This can’t be real!” Kimmy argued. “The land has been passed down from generations to generations! And in the generations records, St. Graves wasn’t included!”

“Bitch, I am the generation.” Tobias laughed lightly. “I can’t measure your father-daughter stupidity anymore, and it’s boring. How many times are you willing to hear a repeat of the lore that I’m always hundred steps ahead, all the damn time.” He dropped his cigar ash on the table.

Kimmy and Marley exchanged shocked glances.

“You’re behind the reporters flanking the church, aren’t you?” Tobias looked up, disgusted. “You made sure every news outlet got rumours of my university days, and thanks to you, I’m out of the Church, but you should be scared. You know what it means.”

“You deserve everything you get!” Marley blew up, refusing to sit. “Being the First Man of Odium is a sin, but having anything to do with this Frump beside you? It’s the ultimate fuckin’ sin. You got her out of Valhalla Club grounds using Xero’s son as leverage? Low!”

Tobias’s hand moved into his suit with quiet precision, pulling out a wasp knife which he brought down to the table where Marley’s hand rested.

He stabbed the dangerous knife blade into the hand, and the blade under entered the table.

The hand got stuck there.

“Daddy!!!” Kimmy yelled, shaken.

“Say that again,” Tobias leaned into Marley’s face. “You said what? Frump? I’d love to hear that again.”

“I’ll kill you!” Marley groaned, his blood spreading on the table, leaking slowly out of his stuck hand.

“Too many people said that, including my own brother, but here I am. I challenge death, Marley.” Tobias shrugged, leaving the knife inside Marley’s palm. He stood.

An Odd threw him an hanky which he caught and wiped Marley’s blood away from his hand with.

Afterwards? He threw the hanky at Kimmy’s face.

“You want the land at all? Negotiate with Sera.” He angled his head at her.

He didn’t wait one more second. He strolled out of the room.

Jude collected the butterflies back into the cage and left with him.

The rest of the Odds stayed.

Seraphina turned slowly and watched Tobias’s receding back view with a little proud smile before she focused back on the issue at hand.

Kimmy helped Marley remove the knife, and when she saw what knife it was, she threw it down with a yelp.

“It’s a… it’s a wasp knife! We have to get you shots of flusher and get your blood cleansed before the poison spreads!” She rushed.

Seraphina rested her elbows on the table, leaning over like a brat.

“If I had died before today, I’d have been so mad at myself. I mean…look at you both, bleeding and scared.” She whispered. “Does it hurt, Marley? Does it fuckin hurt?”

“Wench!!!!” Kimmy roared, leaning over too to grab Seraphina, but the Odds were fast, again.

The table was flipped, and Kimmy got hit in the face by the flying polished wood, sending her to the floor.

Seraphina chuckled deeply, resting on her chair.

“Great sight.” She stopped chuckling. “I was 13 when I began menstruating, Kimmy, but Genevieve said I didn’t deserve pads, and everyone of you supported her. Every of my five period days monthly, y’all threw me in a cold cage in the estate underground cellar, i menstruated there monthly, for years….”

Seraphina smiled sadly.

“I struggled to enter highschool final year, and I thought I finally found love when the hottest boy in school confessed feelings for me. After two months of dating, he took my virginity at a cinema and took my bloodstained skirt to show the whole school cos it was all a set up. You were the one who told him to pretend to like me and disgrace me…”

From the floor, Kimmy looked like she wants to blow up, but she can’t. Even Marley couldn’t breathe properly. He held his bleeding hand as he watched Seraphina hatefully.

Seraphina stood, smiling brightly again. “So, now that I found a key to destroying y’all? I won’t fuckin’ stop till I ruin everything.”

She grabbed her white purse.

“And this land? I can only sell it to you if Dora will crawl in front of me and lick my shoes like I mentioned at the podium. You know where to find me.” She finalized and turned around to go for the door, but that was when Redds guards poured inside.

They’re more than fifteen, and their captain looked astounded to see Kimmy on the floor and Marley bleeding.

“Why are y’all just coming!!!!” Kimmy yelled as they helped her up. “Get her! Kill this bitch!” She pointed.

And for the third time today, Odds were there for Seraphina.

They all gathered in front of her, looking like danger wrapped in suit, ready to devour Redds guards.

“Stop, for now.” Marley ordered.

“Boss?” Their captain turned.

“I said stop!” Marley yelled furiously. “I’m stabbed with wasp, and I need flusher in my system!”

The guards went for him, and Seraphina left with Odds lining up behind her, following her.

Again, she fell in love with this power, and the weight of it.

But she knew the sad memories she read for Kimmy would surely take a hold on her, and it did.

She felt sadder before she got back to the car. Tobias was waiting inside, and she didn’t waste time before hugging him for comfort.

He’ll never hug back, she knows that. It’s even a miracle that he’s allowing the hugs maybe because of their deal.

She’s fine with the self-consolation.

He didn’t hug back as predicted. He just sat there, staring out of the window as if he’s unaware that someone is hugging his body.

Jude in the driver’s seat is busy admiring a gun in his palm. He’s not even seeing what’s going on.

Seraphina made sure she was stable before she pulled away from the hug.

“Sorry…” She gathered herself together. “I was just—”

“You menstruated in a cellar for years?” He boomed suddenly.

Her eyes widened.

“You were set up in a fake relationship?” He added with flat brows which made what he’s thinking so hard to guess.

“You…heard that?” She drawled, staring at his face.

He carried up a laptop from the other side of the seat.

On the screen, the footage of the coffeehouse is showing clearly.

“The coffeehouse was bugged before the meeting was set.” He cleared.

“Oh…” She nodded. “But can we not talk about what you heard?”

“Don’t get ahead, no one wants to hear your sad childhood stories. Keep yours, and I keep mine.” Tobias shut close the laptop roughly.

“I didn’t mean it that way, I swear.” She quickly said.

“You’re going to get under Dean’s skin. Get into his head, whatever tactic you can.” He told her like he didn’t hear what she just said to him.

“Get under…his…skin?” She repeated.

“You have the experience from your highschool boyfriend who pretended to be in love with you. This should be easy.” He faced her.

“You want me to pretend to be in love with Dean?” She folded her fists secretly, on the leather.

“You can’t?” He lit up another cigar, smoking slowly and letting his words weave between the smokes.

Seraphina refolded that fist. “Trust me, I can do anything. I won’t ruin our deal.” She said, cold.

“Good, and you can go ahead and do whatever the hell you want with the first land in your name.” He declared.

“You’re really upholding the promise?” She smiled, imagining her crocheting brand building on the land already. “I still can’t believe.”

“You might do if you get home and give the documents a longer look. They’re in your damn name. You promised p$ssy, I promised protection. Protection comes with the provisional bonus. Enjoy.”

Seraphina nodded.

“Of course, and…” She looked around. “I’m not seeing Yalda or Migos.”

“They’re somewhere else, preparing for tomorrow.” He replied.

“Tommorow?” She blinked.

He pulled out a black card from the backseat drawer and handed her.

It has gold butterfly carving on it, and Horror Night was blended on top.

“Horror Night?” She read out.

“7pm, Migos will come pick you up.” He replied.

“No!” She instantly rejected. “Can’t Yalda or Jude do it? I don’t like Migos’s face.”

“What don’t you understand in the sentence; Migos will come to pick you?” He gave her a smirk.

Seraphina gave up.

“Sure,” She maintained her coldness and took his cigar box. It’s a rare rectangular glass box that has to be unclasped before she could reach inside. She picked two cigars.

“I’ll take these,” she waved them at his face and left the car.

“Where to?” Jude asked.

“To the hospital.” Tobias shut his eyes as the car moved away.

He could feel the bracelet poking his skin through his pocket.

And as the car drove away, Seraphina watched from the back.

It doesn’t seem like a car she has seen before. Looks like it was made specially for him so she doesn’t know the name, or the model or shit. But it’s big, and classy, and the color is a mix of black and sparkling gold.

“How freaking rich would he be to leave a land with billions for me just like that?” She muttered.

Maybe her p+ssy is worth that much? Cos at this point, it is what it is.

He kept making it clear that he’s here for the sex, so she should get it straight and never take this beyond business and a deal.

Now, she has to pretend to love Dean just to get under his skin. No idea what he’s planning to do with that, but he always has a plan.

And she has a land. A motherfuckin’ land to her name.

She owns one of the biggest properties in this city, and it calls for a party. Also, she’s already working on a special crochet set, and this one? She’ll be selling at an auction.

She’ll have to tell Allison about Father Tobias very soon.

Everything is going so well for her now it’s becoming suspicious. She’s never had this amount of joy before, but not like she hates it.

She loves it.

And her family can start counting their days cos it’s only the start.

She entered her own car and lit up one of the cigarette, smoking gently as she drove off.

A minute after her car disappeared down the lane, Allison came out of the coffeehouse, looking pale with shock. She still can’t believe her eyes or ears or anything.

She entered her car slowly, thinking about it again.

That was definitely Seraphina Tobias—her husband’s twin brother.

She didn’t see wrong.

She exhaled, but her ringing phone interrupted her thinking.

It’s an unknown line.

“Yes?” She picked.

“Allis.” Bexley breathed heavily through the line.

“Bex? Where the heck did you disappear to?” Allison blinked. “You wouldn’t pick calls, refused to call. I went to your school hostel, you weren’t there. Are you even still going to school?”

“I knew you’d scold, so I didn’t call…” Bexley gently cooed.

“Oh, you’re sick. You’re talking gently? Tell me, is it fever? Flu? What the f+k is it? I’m already in enough shock, don’t keep me on my toes!”

“I’m fine!” Bexley snapped. “Stop being extra! I flew to Miami with a schoolmate for her birthday.”

“Miami?” Allison gasped. “Bexley!”

Bexley hung up abruptly.

Allison laughed madly, diving her fingers in her hair. “Gawd, my best friend and only sister are driving me crazy, and it’s not even funny. It’s not fuckin funny!!!”

[Wrath Investments Empire]

Kelly and Dean made sure to wait behind till every single member of staffs have left the premises, and they also hit the lights-off switch.

The Empire was in total darkness when they jointly carried out the body of the secretary in a black body bag. Allison held the legs, and Dean held the shoulders.

Slowly, without missing a calculated step till they got to Dean’s car and threw the body in his trunk.

Dean closed the trunk fast.

“F+k…” He cussed.

“Why the f+k would you have to kill before joining the club?” Kelly shook.

“I don’t know, Kell. I don’t!” Dean held her shoulders. “I didn’t plan to kill him, but he saw the note, and I…had no choice. I had none.”

“How?” Kelly nodded. “How do we get it out of here successfully?”

“Do you trust me?” Dean asked, but she shook him off.

“This ain’t a matter of trust!”

“You have to trust me that I’ll be able to get the body to my family Memorial Estates successfully! We’re in this together now, you can’t back out.” Dean sharply said.

“F+k, fine, fine.” Kelly raised her hands. “Let’s go, you just make sure this doesn’t go south.”

“I got this,” Dean assured as they got in the car together.

Dean drove, and Kelly sat right beside him, trying to stay stable as Dean entered the bright streets.

Even Dean’s heart was slamming. If anyone discovers his secretary’s body with him, his money won’t be enough to wash away the tarnish is image is going to receive, and maybe jail.

He kept his hands steady on the wheels though, but when he saw a police checkpoint ahead, he froze.

“No… they’re not supposed to be on this road tonight. This road is always free of cops.” He mentioned.

“Just go, Dean.” Kelly encouraged.

He looked at him, and she nodded at him before he drove forward.

A little before they got there, a different car sped past the checkpoint, refusing to stop even when the police blasted at him.

The whole police department went after him, and like that, the road became free.

Dean went by freely, taking a deep breath as they went past that point.

Kelly said nothing throughout the drive like she was rethinking her life choices. If she hadn’t entered that office to make up with him, she wouldn’t have witnessed this.

If she hadn’t chose him over Tobias, she wouldn’t even be in this mess to begin with.

Dean drove into the Memorial Estate. Merely seeing his face, the masked guards opened the gate.

Dean stopped the car in front of the main building where Uncle Will’s office is.

Uncle Will came out before he could even get down from the car.

“Dean?” The man frowned surprisingly.

“Uncle!” Dean held him desperately. “I need to get a body under the soil tonight, unfailingly!” He explained.

“I don’t follow,” Will frowned still.

Kelly opened the trunk, and Will lifted the bag from the secretary’s face. “What the hell? Your Secretary?” He faced Dean.

“I’ll explain later, Uncle. But for now, I need it buried.” Dean said restlessly.

Will wanted to say something else, but maybe he decided it wasn’t necessary, so he stopped.

He called the workers, and the body was carried inside.

Dean received a buzz on his phone immediately.

He raised the screen to read…

• Congratulations on your hardest sin. More kills to your bullets. You committed most of the sins before we even invited you. Greed? Hate? Envy? Malice? Covetousness. It’s all done. Now, get the Lust done, and we’ll welcome you to the circle of the Wealthy prodigies.

Dean blinked repeatedly, reading your text over and over.

“Valhalla?” Uncle Will got closer and read the text with him.

Dean looked up, pocketing the phone.

“It’s not what you think, Uncle.”

“It’s exactly what you think, Uncle.” Kelly broke the ice. “He’s becoming a Valhalla member soon.”

“Shit.” Will mumbled.

—

[Hospital]

Tobias and Jude went straight to the power room of the hospital. That’s where they have business at anyways. But Jude carried a small box with him this time.

The five operators in the power room rose immediately they entered.

One of them recognized Tobias first.

“The Cultist Priest?” He scoffed rudely. “What are you doing here? Came to say hi to the churchgoers who’re bedridden cos of you? Or the two who died last night?”

“Get me the last night footage of the ward of the dead two.” Tobias tapped the table once.

“You can’t just come in here and order around, Priest. Follow protocol.” One of the five said.

“I don’t follow protocols,” Tobias sighed. “I hate the clear path, I prefer the woods. You’re going to give me the footage I asked.”

“They already died, what are you looking for? Actually, why don’t you go into their wards and place yoor bible on them? Try to be Jesus.” The first one yapped.

And that was followed by a mocking laughter from all of them.

“J,” Tobias called.

Jude placed the small box on the table, opened it, and took out a hammer which he handed to Tobias.

Tobias swung it once.

Just once, to the head of the one who laughed the loudest.

The hammer met that head with a crushing force, boring a round hole in the skull and spilling out the brain matter along with blood.

As the body fell heavily, the other four opened their mouths to scream.

“You scream, you scream to your deaths, ok?” He pointed the hammer.

They went shut, shaking, clamping their palm on their mouths.

The last one pinned his lips together, bladder opening as his pee soaked his pants and the floor.

Tobias went for that one and swung the hammer on his head too, breaking his skull like the first one.

He landed right on top of the first one, and the remaining three stopped breathing. They struggled to stay contained and not pee.

Jude chuckled behind him.

“Now,” Tobias inhaled. “F+k, I really didn’t want to kill people today, but…” He faced the three. “The footage?”

“It’s here! It’s here!” The one in front of them ran to the nearest system. His shaky hands made his clicks slow, but he did it anyways after a several clicks. The footage appeared.

The moment of death of the two church members. It was clear as crystal, how a Valhalla Serpent—Grilled teeth, entered to kill the two by pressing a pillow to their faces.

He even left the footage intact and didn’t try coming here to delete it. What a bold fucker.

“I got what I wanted, now delete the footage of me entering this hospital and this room, and shut down the cameras for now. I don’t want it recording my exit.” Tobias ordered.

That operator didn’t even wait.

His fingers trembled over the keys as he made the deletion happen.

Jude packed the box back with the hammer inside. He left with Tobias, both taking empty hallways till they got back outside.

“Send a message across to Yalda and Migos,” Tobias said. “That nonentity who did the killing? I want him as the sacrifice tommorow.”

“As you wish, First Man.” Jude got his phone as they got in the car.

[Atlanta – Beaufort Mansion]

“You really meant it when you said you’re still gonna go back to New York City?” Mrs. Beaufort sat across Ruth who’s chewing caviar and watching a Nat Geo wild show on TV.

“I never play about my plans, Mama. Need to return to NYC and get what I deserve, also give a bitch what she actually deserves.” Ruth hummed, lazily.

“The Seraphina Redd?” Mrs. Beaufort got interested.

“What if I told you this girl is the reason I got bedridden five years ago?” Ruth got serious.

“Are you saying?” Mrs. Beaufort blinked rapidly.

“Yeah. She’s a bloody illiterate who’s obsessed with Toby. When she saw how deep my relationship with him ran, she sent people to attack me in my hostel and waterboard me.”

“What!” The mother got up, face squeezing. “And you didn’t tell me since then? You know I’d have made sure she stayed jailed! Why the f+k would you keep this!”

“I knew she’d get jailed, exactly why I didn’t tell, mum. I’m God-fearing, and you know it. I don’t want someone in jail because of me.” Ruth shrugged.

“I’m saying this softhearted nature of yours will be the end of you! You know your brother will wanna burn the whole family of that girl if he hears about this, right?” Mrs. Beaufort raged.

“Speaking of him, he hasn’t been picking calls nor replying messages. Is he planning on touring the world forever? Even dad is always on his business trips” Ruth rolled eyes.

“Your brother will come back whenever he sees fit, but this one you just told me? I’ll handle it first. I need to call the NYC police department.” Mrs. Beaufort rushed upstairs.

Ruth lay back on the couch, smiling. “Seraphina…” She sounded like she knew exactly what she just did. “He’ll not be able to save you from this sea you’re about to fall in.”

[NYC – Saint’s Mansion]

Dora has been standing in front of the house for ten minutes now, staring and smiling like a Cheshire cat.

Her broken nose has a slim plaster on it, and her shades are intact.

She wore her brand hoodie and the joggers, hood over her head. She didn’t have to break doors or tamper with locks. She has an extra keycard to this place, so her entry was easy.

She slid into the house, hanging her shades behind her ears and letting it rest on top of her head.

She inhaled the air, deeply.

The show he came to pull at her Fashion Clan? It only made her love him more. Yeah, he destroyed like seven expensive designers before the securities were able to drag him out, but her adequate fashionistas are always available to replace his damages. By tomorrow, the designers will be back in new glasses.

If anything, she got to see his dick when he brought it out to pee. She saw his balls before, but she has seen his dick now.

It’s a complete sight.

Bexley can die wherever she is, she doesn’t care. She’s here, right in his house. His first race this week is tommorow, and she can’t wait to go cheer him up again.

She hugged everything holdable in the house. Even the ones that aren’t holdable.

She ate cornflakes and raw noodles from his kitchen, then milk from his freezer. Upstairs, she used his bathroom and dried her body with his towel, making sure she wiped her p+sy excessively with it.

She used his cream, stole his boxers to wear before she got dressed again. She fell in his bed and had a really long sleep for an hour.

She left after she woke up.

And a few minutes after, Saint came in with Tino rushing after him.

“Saint! SS!!”

“What!!” Saint turned angrily.

“I’m not trying to get your angry, man. I was only saying peeing on her store wasn’t necessary! Bro, you revealed your dick and all.”

“Why would me revealing my dick be an issue when the dick is with me? I can do whatever the f+k I want with it, and by the way, I haven’t even seen Bexley!” Saint shouted.

“Bexley handed you over to Rednecks!” Tino argued, getting angry. “Why the f+k are you worried about that bi+ch!”

“Cos she’s my bi+ch! I blew up her car, revenge served! Now, I want her to come kidnap me again.” Saint cleared.

“You’re insane!” Tino breathed.

“Thank you!” Saint rushed upstairs.

Tino rushed after him, expecting their bicker to continue.

Getting to the room, he met Saint standing still by the door.

“This isn’t the way I left my shit.” Saint muttered. “My pillows are always at both ends of my bed, but now, they’re in the middle.”

“Could be you forgot the usual placement, don’t sweat over it.” Tino blew it off quickly.

“I never forget shit!” Saint faced him. “Someone was in here.”

“What!” Tino scowled.

[Redd Family Hospital]

Marley was saved by the doctors, luckily. He was loaded with flushers immediately she was taken into the ward, and now, he’s regaining strength, palm heavily bandaged.

Kimmy is inside with him, but they’re not saying anything to each other.

The guards inside the ward are much, but outside? It’s worse. One would think it’s the President inside.

No words were said till Genevieve rushed inside, gasping.

“Marley!”

“Told you it was fatal,” Kimmy said.

“Oh my!” Genevieve threw her purse. “I was on my movie set, and my manager didn’t give me my phone early! What the f+k!”

“Exactly like I told you on phone.” Kimmy sat.

“That cursed child again?” Genevieve sneered. “And now, Wrath is really out of the Church, and he’s with her? She should have died along with the others back then. Should have killed her!”

“And why is your husband Acosta not here? Where’s Dora?” Marley glared.

“You know Dora closes late from work.” Genevieve quickly defended.

“And Acosta…took Peach out… according to the maids.” A guard reported.

“He has no use! Absolutely no use!” Marley got up, blind with rage. “You might have to file him a divorce one of these days.”

“Can we focus on this issue at hand first?” Kimmy said.

“Wrath knows I’m never the one to back down fast,” Market sat back. “We’ve been on this war since he was in University, and it’s not getting over anytime soon. Call Xero, Gene. Call him.”

Genevieve pulled out her phone and dialled Xero’s line.

One ring, and it connected.

“This ain’t the time to bug me with calls. We suspect Wrath might be making his first transport to his safehouse in two days, and I’m busy giving anonymous Intel to the FBI.” Xero said with impatience.

“I don’t care how you do it, Leader, I want like ten bodies on Wrath’s land.” Marley huffed.

“The land is Wrath’s?” Xero didn’t sound surprised.

“Obviously it is,” Marley gritted. “Get blood on the land and make sure the value depreciates.”

“You can look forward to it.” Xero grunted into the speakers.

[Valhalla Grounds Infirmary]

Bexley looks better than yesterday. At least, the bodily wounds are starting to dry up, and the pains have reduced.

As she lay in bed, counting the ceiling of the infirmary, Frontman came in again with a tray containing her next dose of medicine.

I hate drugs…” Bexley squeezed her face tight.

“These drugs were gotten from Leader’s special stack. Wanna heal and return to stage as the best Delilah here? Take the medications serious.” Frontman set the tray down.

“Even if I die, no other Delilah will deliver like I do, and you know that. I know the other bitches are happy now, but they should wait for my comeback.” Bexley heaved. “Had to lie to Allison that I went to Miami for a fuckin birthday.”

“Here,” Frontman unscrewed the cap of the first medicine.

Bexley sat up, took it, and drank up. “I swear to f+k, I’m getting justice myself.”

“There’s so much heat around here lately, Bexley. Especially now that Wrath is out of the Church. You don’t wanna get on the Billionaire’s nerves.” Frontman advised.

“Wrath is who?” Bexley asked.

“Tobias St. Graves.” Frontman responded.

“Oh,” Bexley nodded. “The Cultist Priest? Fits him more, but Dora? Don’t try to preach to me. I’ll get to her, and the asshole who blew up my car.” She took the second bottle.

Dyed hair came in.

“Teeth ain’t here?” He asked.

“Why would Teeth be here at the infirmary?” Frontman stood. “He’s probably somewhere killing someone.”

“Why isn’t he picking my calls?” Dyed hair muttered, leaving. “F+k…”

Bexley hissed out.

[Next Day – Dean’s Estate]

At 7, Seraphina was ready.

She didn’t try to get late or play tease games. She’s eager to see what Horror Night means, too. And she can’t wait.

She wore mini leather skirt and a net blouse. Simple, but hot on her thigh-high boots.

She hasn’t seen Dean since the scene with Tobias, so there was no obstruction. She met a Rover in front of the mansion which she concluded belonged to Migos immediately.

The backdoor clicked open, and she got in, meeting exactly who she suspected.

Migos.

He sat on the driver’s eat, the scar on his face looking as weird as ever. She wondered where he got that from.

She shut the door on herself, and he said nothing to her. He started the car drive.

Seraphina didn’t even focus on the route. She kept thinking ways to start a conversation as she’s uncomfortable.

“How did you get your scar?”

That was the first question she asked.

“I just knew you’d trespass,” Migos groaned. “What has my fuckin’ scar got to do with you?”

“Then, does Father hate his late parents?” She asked again.

“F+k!” Migos stopped the car. “I’ll drop you on the pavement, and leave you in the open!”

“You won’t, cos Father told you to take me, and you must.” She boldly retorted.

“Then shut your mouth. I already can’t stand you, don’t worsen this.” He resumed the drive with a screech from the tires. “And it’s Wrath, First Man, Black Rose, anything, but not Father. He left the Church, you can drop it.”

“He left the Church?” She asked, surprised, and of course Migos said nothing to that question.

The rest of the drive was a ritual of silence, and after thirty more long-ass minutes, they arrived at Odium Hell.

The exterior made her stop and stare for a handful of minutes, marvelled and shocked that such building existed in this city.

Which part of the city is this? She has no idea. It’s like Migos cast a spell or something to make her not study the route on their way here.

Migos entered without waiting for her, and she quickly followed.

Stepping inside was another mystification experience. Each step made feel feel like her soul was bleeding on the black walls.

Each breath made her feel like she’s taking in what she shouldn’t take in. Yet, she took it.

The dark walls, dark ceilings with golden fire-like edges, and the golden grounds, the branded doors with butterfly insignias, and the black rare butterflies flying around.

Is this an outer horizon?

Migos moved fast, but she moved faster, catching up fast before he opened the sixth door in that huge, breathing hallway.

The door-opening took her into another world.

Noises she didn’t expect blew up her eardrums. They nearly rendered her deaf.

The room is full.

Not only with Odds, but with naked women and men who’re blindfolded as they moved in choreographed form in the middle of the place.

They’re like thirty. All blindfolded, all naked, all moving in synchronization.

This ain’t the Hellfire room.

This is the Horror room where tonight will unfold.

All of the Odds are easy to identify tonight as their faces are painted black and gold in a zebra-like way.

They look like beasts.

She couldn’t tell which was Yalda or Migos or anyone else.

They’re not wearing suits jacket tonight. Instead, it’s their black Odds jacket with gold butterfly patterns.

And… their hands are all bloodstained.

Seraphina didn’t have to look too far before sighting the sacrifice close to the choreographing people.

The sacrifice is Grilled teeth—a Valhalla Serpent.

Seraphina recognized him immediately cos when she was kidnapped, he was the one who brought her to their Leader.

Right now, he looks helpless as he was chained to a table, flat. His hands and legs are spread, and the bounds strapped around his wrist and ankles and stomach. He’s shirtless, and a female Odd is on the table with him, tearing his stomach with a knife.

Seraphina recognized her as Yalda despite her facial paint.

As Yalda tore and took blood from him, the Odds dipped their hands in his blood, laughing delightfully.

Yalda pulled out one of his intestines and hung it around her neck like necklace, nodding.

The Odds hailed her, and she laughed sickly, throwing her head back.

“Tequila? Vodka? Rum?” An Odd crossed Seraphina with a tray.

“No.” She rejected, wanting to move forward, but she was crossed yet again—by a giant dog.

She didn’t cowe.

She just stared down at the black doberman, wondering what a dog’s doing here.

She dog sniffled her, and it refused to leave.

“It probably smelled First Man’s cigar from you.” Jude appeared without a facial paint.

“Fû+k! Finally a familiar face!” Seraphina breathed.

“Like what you’re seeing?” Jude asked.

“You don’t mean that,” Seraphina frowned. “They’re butchering a human.” She blinked.

“At least, you didn’t puke. It’s good.” Jude nodded.

“I guess,” Seraphina looked at the dog again. “Wrath owns it?”

“Yeah, the name is Grimm.”

Seraphina touched the dog’s head, and it’s weirdly calm. It even leaned into her touch.

“Can’t believe it’s calm with you. It’s always so violent around first-timers.” Jude muttered.

“Where’s…him?” Seraphina asked.

“First Man?” Jude raised his lid. “There.” He pointed.

Seraphina followed his hand, and right beside a huge chess table at the back, she saw him.

His face isn’t painted, and he’s rocking something else too.

A aristocrat robe-like suit which looks like a breathtaking fusion of midnight-black and pearl-white silk, split cleanly down the center and adorned with gold embroidery, jeweled brooches, and cascading crystal chains. A deep plunging neckline, layered gold necklaces, and a wide sash added effortless sensuality, while the flowing silhouette radiated regal elegance with a dark, commanding allure.

Seraphina was lost staring for a minute. He’s madly fashionable. His taste leaves her staring everytime, and she wonders who styles him.

She was still stroking the dog’s head as she watched him.

He’s not alone over there.

He’s with powerful-looking men in dark coats who held briefcases.

They look like they’re in a heated discussion. Seraphina could tell.

“They’re….” She faced Jude.

“Those are a few heads of the families he launders money for. You read the laundering details in the mail he sent you,” Jude said.

Seraphina nodded.

“Seems like the first movement to the safehouse will be tommorow, and First Man is putting everything in place, so he might not even come to talk to you tonight.” Jude added.

Seraphina nodded.

“I’ll be right back,” Jude stepped away, and Seraphina decided to go find herself a seat.

But then she saw a change of scenes.

Now, the men are no longer with Tobias.

Two of the naked female choreography dancers are with him.

One in front, and one behind. The one in front rubbed her ass on his middle, and the one behind simply caressed him with her bre+sts.

He’s not moving. He just stood there, getting a cup of his favorite alcohol to take a simple sip.

He spanked the ass of the one in front of him, and it resounded.

Seraphina’s mouth nearly hung open.

Her hand left the dog’s head.

From the other side of the table, Yalda paused, with the intestine still hanging on her neck.

Migos joined her, face painted already, hand bloodied.

“Oh, the time is here…” Yalda smiled as their sights fell on Seraphina.

“A, She’ll run out in tears.” Migos said.

“B, she goes to the naked choreographers and fight them to leave him.”

“C, she’ll scream I HATE YOU, then run out like a thief.” Yalda added.

Seraphina’s phone rang, jerking her out of her throat-parching stare.

She took it out of her purse and stepped back when she saw Dean.

She picked, thoughtlessly.

“Hey, I cooked, and you might wanna have a taste. You don’t have to eat out or cook when you return.” Dean rushed.

Seraphina looked at the scene in front of her—Tobias sandwiched between two naked ladies.

She looked away.

“Yeah,…I, I’m on my way home.” She told Dean calmly and hung up.

Then, she turned around to leave.

Jude came back with a cup of non-alcoholic wine for her.

“Hey, you’re leaving?” He asked.

“Yeah…” She nodded. “I got an emergency.”

“I’ll drop you then.” Jude offered.

Seraphina didn’t turn him down.

She left with him.

“She didn’t do any of the options?” Yalda’s shoulders fell. “Bad girl.”

“I bet she’s going to cry outside.” Migos hissed.

“Yeah, console yourself with that.” Yalda got back on the table.

Jude’s drive was faster than Migos’s, and Seraphina’s head was blank throughout.

Jude said nothing to her. It’s as though he knew what she needed.

She got down in front of the estate mansion, and Jude simply nodded at her before driving off as fast as they came.

Seraphina entered the house and met Dean at the dinning, setting the table.

“C’mon, go freshen up. I’ll wait for you.” Dean looked up.

She said nothing. She simp went upstairs and really freshened up, changing into her crochet bum shorts and a armless singlet.

No bra.

She came downstairs like that, and Dean’s fork fell back into his plate when he beheld her.

He stopped eating, gaze raw.

Seraphina bent slightly, taking the fork and giving him a quick peek of her cleavage and the irresistible laps.

Then, she stood back up, dropped the fork on the table.

She’s to seduce him, get under his skin and pretend to care.

She might as well start now.

She lowered herself, wordlessly. She sat on Dean’s laps.

“Geez, Seraphina.” Dean groaned.

Seraphina’s finger found it’s way to her lips, shushing him. “We can still make this marriage work, yunno.”

[Odium Hell Building]

When Jude returned, the first thing he noticed was Tobias’s laptop, buzzing repeatedly on the chess table. No one noticed.

Tobias is now back to talking with the men, so he didn’t see.

Jude carried the laptop to him. “Been buzzing, think it’s a program.”

Tobias excused himself from the men and took the laptop, opening up.

The cameras he set in Dean’s mansion were programmed to alert him once something offensive happens, and the cameras have been sending signals. He clicked straight.

What he saw made him pause.

His fingers didn’t leave that key.

Seraphina on Dean’s laps. She’s facing him, caressing his brows while the idiot smiled like he was love-drunk.

Seraphina is smiling too.

She’s smiling….too??

Tobias straightened calmly and got his phone out of his pocket, dialling her line.

Seraphina’s phone rang on the dinning table, and he saw how she stopped touching Dean.

She looked at the phone, and when she saw it’s him, she swiped RED.

RED.

She rejected his call and then returned to Dean’s face.

She kissed his brows, whispering…”No evil will come between us again, from now on.”

“I bet.” Dean held her waist.

In a whim, Tobias grabbed his laptop off the table and threw it to the wall.

The laptop shattered. Keys separately, body parts separately, wires separately.

“First Man!” Jude’s eyes widened.

TBC.
