Migos bounced back to the living room with a dissatisfied smirk flaring his nose, gun swinging fast around his pointer finger.

Nun Estelle was still on the floor, scared, and when he went past her, he gave her a impulsive kick in the face. Estelle fell back.

Her broken wrist got worse, but she quickly covered her mouth with her palm to muffle her cry cos letting it out might mean a shot from Migos. She has only spent a few minutes here, but she knows Migos has a bad temper.

Even Jude pulled a gun at her, so she’s not taking chances.

She clamped the palm tight over her mouth, shaking as she felt her bone cracking again.

“Are you on the shit again?” Yalda asked with an eye roll.

“I’d be messier if I was on the shit,” Migos glared. “Wrath is back with the New Meat, but shit, he gon’ let her take out the bullet.”

“And?” Yalda scoffed.

“If you don’t see anything shitty about that, then you need to get some sleep, chic.” Migos hissed. “In the past, all his bullets were either removed by himself, or by me! He’s just gonna let this dull bitch dominate?”

“As long as it doesn’t affect my menstrual cycle,” Yalda shrugged. “Or my daily bread. I don’t give a f+k, Migos. Wrath knows what he’s doing, and you obviously need that sleep more. Calm your darn muscles, man.”

“He took her to his—”

“Didn’t Yalda just tell you to let it go?” Jude cut into Migos’s words. “Father knows how to handle his plans and shit. Don’t be thirsty.”

“Dude, are you talking to me like that?” Migos crossed over to him.

“You are not going to start a bloodbath in here, Migos!” Yalda blocked his way.

“No!” Migos insisted. “I feel dirty, and I need his blood for that bath!”

Jude stood still by the wall, not a bit moved by Migos’s temper or threats.

Yalda continued tackling Migos, pushing him back in repeat.

On the floor, Nun Estelle just watched silently, holding her cracked wrist.

[Bedroom]

Seraphina excelled in treating wounds. Back in Redd Estate when her sisters fought her everyday, she always ended up wounded and stole the family kit to treat her wounds.

This gunshot wound is new to her though. She never got to deal with bullet shit before, but her experience still helped. Also, the owner of the wound isn’t even acting it.

Tobias sat on the bed edge, cigarette between his lips, arm angled for her eyes to reach and fingers to reach.

Even while he’s sitting and she’s standing like this, his height still popped over hers, and that just made her wonder how she was able to reach his face the other time when she came to church to slap him.

Silly,silly move.

He’s got a small kit too, but all the bottles in the kit are unlabelled. Maybe he removed all the labels, so she doesn’t know which is which.

She’s already thinking of how to identify them as she prepared to take out the bullet with a scalpel.

“I’m going all in now,” she said.

Tobias faced her, and all the smokes from his drag bathed her face. She’d have coughed if she ain’t a once-in-a-while smoker herself.

His smoke smells like a mix of incense and mint which just made her wonder what brand he smokes. She hadn’t smelled that before.

But above all, the smokes between them gave his eyes a shade of ash which made her unable to blink as she stared at the eyes.

His eyes are beautiful, and—

“Just take it out. Make it bloody. I like it bloody.” His words cut into her thoughts.

She blinked back, returning her stare to his arm. “Sure. Ok.”

Then she went all in with the scalpel. He didn’t even flinch, but she knows he feels the pain cos he puffed so deep on his cigar throughout, using the smokes as his stronghold.

He didn’t pour out the smokes till the bullet fell out of his arm. He released the smokes through his nostrils and mouth, so cloudy and thick.

The scent filled her as she began swabbing the blood off the wound, and she badly wants to have a puff.

But nothing beats his oud. This whole room smells like that. As she swabbed with the second wet cotton, she was side-eyeing the room.

Though, the black walls seemed to suck out all other forms, but the lights are on, so she could see clearly.

The room isn’t stacked.

Just the medium-sized bed, his minimalist vanity and closet, and his laptop on the drawer.

For a man as rich as he is, this Rectory is too minimalist, but Yalda said he has his personal mansion, and she’s guessing wherever that place is, it’ll be a damn palace.

Maybe one day, she’ll earn the rights to go there with him.

She dropped the last cotton and dragged the kit closer. Now, the issue about the unlabelled bottles.

“How do I know the one to…apply first?” She asked, expecting an answer as she touched them one by one,but no answer came.

When she looked up, he was looking at her.

She saw him looking, and he didn’t look away when their eyes met.

He kept up the look she doesn’t understand, but it made her gulp. Her fingers twitched on top of the bottles she placed them on.

“I hate labels on drugs,” he finally talked, looking away. “It’s all the same, just use one.”

Seraphina picked the brown bottle and dipped a bud, applying the wet liquid gently on his arm.

It stung him.

She knows by how hard he puffed on the cigarette again.

But she couldn’t shake off what she feels by his last statement.

“I’m guessing you…” She looked up. “You hate labels cos they represented your parents when you were young. Other kids got parents guidance on medicine, but you got none from parents. You had to rely on the labels on the body of the bottles before you were able to use your medicines.”

Silence blowed the room after she said those words. Just her heavy breathings, and his smokes.

Even her pulse felt quicker cos he gave her a really deep stare which made her skin shift.

“You think you know everything, Seraphina.”

“I’m just saying—”

“Leave.” He interrupted, dropping his cigar on the ashtray.

His mood turned foggy she couldn’t even see through his eyes.

She slowly dropped the bud.

“Fath—”

“I will not repeat that word,” he stood, towering over her. “Next, I’ll give you a arm shot to remember too.” He drew a gun under the bed.

He aimed for her forehead, slipping his finger under the deadly trigger.

Seraphina picked her phone from where she had dropped it, then she went for the door.

She held the knob, pulled it open, but she looked back at him.

And that was it.

He pulled the trigger.

The bullet rammed into the door—right above the knob. Above her hand.

Her blood stopped flowing as the sound bounced through the walls. She felt blood boiling to black in her ears and face.

She rushed out, nearly slipping on her sneakers. She never looked back anymore, till she disappeared.

Migos and Yalda came over. Merely seeing the hole on the door, Migos cussed.

“I knew I should’ve never let her in! F+k!”

“Are you ok, Wrath?” Yalda asked.

Tobias stood still beside the bed, gun in hand.

He didn’t even answer her.

“I can still catch up with her. I’mma plant a bullet in her.” Migos announced, shifting.

“Migos, what I need you to do is listen while I f+kin speak, and do whatever the f+k I tell you to do!” Tobias spat, facing them.

Whenever his aqua eyes are bloodshot like this, it’s like an execution is happening in hell, but this one’s more dangerous.

Maybe hell’s falling apart, cos he looks like a maddened dog.

“She made you mad to the point of you having to shoot the door?” Migos argued. “Wrath, she’s unneeded. You could use Yalda. Send her to the Empire, and we get that shit back within a fucking week!”

Tobias shot again.

It wasn’t the door this time. It was meant for Migos, and it got Migos on the leg, sending him staggering down with a yell, head slamming the wall as his blood ran out.

“What the f+k did I just say, motherfucker?” Tobias demanded, redness spreading beyond his eyes to his eyelids, deeply.

“Aggg…shit!” Migos cussed, more blood running, spreading. “You talk, and I listen. I do whatever the hell you tell me to do.”

“Good,” Tobias lowered his hand.

He left the room, slamming the door heavily behind him.

“You deserve all that shit, wanker.” Yalda smiled. “You know how much he hates interruption or opposition, but those are your hobbies. You’re gonna get killed one of these days, I think that’s why Jude is here. You get to see your replacement before you die, Wrath is nice, to a point.”

She was chuckling as she left the room, softly closing the door.

Migos crawled fast to the kit on the bed, dragging it down.

He was panting as he picked a new scalpel, wet it with disinfectant. He dug it into his leg, pushing the bullet out forcefully, jaws clashing.

“F+kkk!!!!”

—

[Living Room]

“Is… Father really a cultist?” Estelle asked when the silence in the room felt too heavy to carry.

“You should focus on your broken wrist, Estelle.” Jude sighed.

“Listen,” Estelle breathed, still holding on to that wrist. “Yeah I had a stupid crush on him, and I was on Ruth’s tail to make sure she wasn’t crushing on him too. She knocked me out in her room and I woke up under her bed, then she threatened me with a gun. That bitch has piercings!”

“Why are you telling me these needles tales?” Jude sighed again.

“I’m saying,” Estelle tightened her grip on her broken wrist. “Now, I only wanna make Ruth regret threatening me, and if this stuff brings me money, then I want in too. I promise my crush on Father is gone. I just wanna live. We’re both from Ohio, you know how hard it is to make a living.”

“I don’t wanna talk to you, Estelle.” Jude threw his face away.

“Jude… Jude please….” Estelle tried standing, but that was when Tobias strolled back into the living room.

She stood down.

“She really got it removed?” Jude asked, staring at his arm.

Tobias looked at the arm too.” “Yeah, she did.”

“I knew she wasn’t retarded,” Yalda commented, coming out with a slow grin. “I mean…it takes some balls to get rid of a body bullet without puking. I might like that bitch.”

“Yeah, she’s good.” Jude shrugged.

“How many more laundering proposals did we get today?” Tobias asked her.

“Three more came in today with the initial fifteen, that’s seventeen. At this rate, the safehouse might not be safe for them anymore. We have to speed up the Empire take-back process and get back in business. Damn, I miss the missions. I miss having enough people to kill alone.” Yalda said.

“You’re nasty,” Tobias smirked proudly, walking to the door.

“That’s the real reason you took me into your Hell, Rose.” Yalda grinned freely again.

Tobias opened the door and went out, leaving them inside.

“Where’s Seraphina by the way?” Jude asked.

“There was a hole in the door when I got inside,” Yalda nodded.

“He didn’t shoot her, did he?” Jude said with concern.

“Nah, he probably just shooed her with the shot. She must have said something triggering.”

“Triggering?” Jude frowned.

“Wrath is sensitive about his childhood shit,” Yalda glared. “I’m sure she touched where she shouldn’t have touched, but it’s all good. She’s not dead, chill.”

Jude nodded.

“And what did you mean by missions?”

“You ask too much questions, Jude.” Yalda walked past him.

“I’m a part of this place already, and I’m just curious.” Jude shrugged.

“We launder money for powerful families, ok?” Yalda nodded. “And at times, when shit gets down, we’ll have to steal evidences from police departments, documents from Whitehouse, or get involved in dangerous shootouts while transporting money to our safehouse.”

“Wait…what!” Jude’s arms dropped.

“Yeah, you’re already in it. Don’t cower, buddy.” Yalda pat his chest.

By the door, Estelle listened attentively, and it piqued her interest, but she kept quiet.

Migos came out with a cloth tied around his left leg. He’s limping obviously, but he still looks as arrogant and bitter as ever.

“Limp looks good on you, bro.” Yalda mocked with a chortle.

“Kick rocks,” Migos answered while shooting unfriendly looks at Jude.

—

[Outside]

The reporters all got their shit set, and their noises increased the moment they saw Tobias coming out.

He stood by the door, eyes sweeping across the crowd of info hunters.

He didn’t wait for them to talk. He talked first.

“I know y’all got planted here by someone, and I’m not gonna mention the names cos I want us to have a clear agreement here, alright? I’mma need y’all to get off this property before this gets uglier.”

“Are you threatening us, Father Tobias St. Graves?” The ginger-haired reporter assumed, persistent.

Tobias went closer to her in the middle. She smelled him first, then looked at his eyes.

“You smell nice, though.” She complimented with a sly smile.

“I’ll have to go visit the injured Church members at the hospital. I won’t spend the whole night standing here and letting you inhale me.” Tobias said with a deadpan, his eyes lingering slightly on her hair.

“Yeah….I guess,” the woman nodded. “But I’ll see you soon, cos this interview isn’t over. There’s still a lot of unanswered questions.”

She picked up her camera and strapped it over her shoulder, then looked at Tobias again.

“You smell really nice, once again. Maybe next time you’ll tell me your perfume brand name.”

She gave him a wink and left.

Surprisingly, all the other reporters left too, following her as if she led them here which is already obvious.

The coast cleared in about five minutes, and just when Tobias thought it was all over for now, Uncle Will arrived at the Rectory.

“You’re not in the list of the people I wanna meet tonight, Uncle William.” Tobias gave him a sour face.

“I heard about the massacre at your Church, and I just knew you’ve turned this place to your playground, so I had to come see for myself.” Uncle Will frowned, stern.

“Now don’t give me that look,” Tobias frowned back. “You look the way you looked back then when I sat on the table with you teaching me nouns and pronouns. I hate it.”

“Don’t make me regret ever picking you up, Tobias. I’m warning you. Take your madness far away from the Church! You can’t hurt innocent people in your blood game!”

“The blood game hasn’t even started yet, Uncle. Why are you scared?” Tobias strained his eyes like he was struggling to see him. “And talking about regretting picking me, don’t get me started cos you never f+kin picked me. You only did the tutoring cos your damn son was giving you a hard time, you thought of replacing me with that punk. Don’t mix things up. You never choose me. No one ever choose me!”

“Tobias,” Will came closer fast. “It’s not like that. You’re—”

“Spare me the details.” Tobias cut him off crankily and entered the Rectory, slamming the door.

Uncle Will buried his face in his palm. “Damnit!”

—

[Nuns Convent]

At 10, the nuns are still outside the passage.

Lights are still on, chats are still heavy.

The Priest and Nun Ruth.

The gist is still fresh, and while some aren’t surprised cos they smelled the corrupt air from Tobias already, a larger percent are in shock, which brought about questions…

How did he make it into seminary?

How did he pass the exams?

Why is there nothing about him on the internet if he’s still a cultist? Unless he wiped everything clean.

How did he even make it into church when his family is mysteriously wrapped around graveyards?

Such questions became prevalent in the grounds of the convent, but as Nun Ruth entered, there was a pause.

She seemed to disappear after the Priest read her sexual life history earlier, she’s only reappearing now.

Thick-skinned, she walked through the passage shamelessly like she wasn’t the topic of discussion, like her linen hasn’t been spread out in the open.

Not minding the disappointed stares and mutterings, she walked.

But she didn’t get to her room successfully.

Nun Grace blocked her path.

Ruth released a heave, facing her. “What do you want from me?”

“Seriously?” Grace blinked. “You should be packing your bags right now, getting ready to leave the convent, cos obviously you’re not fitt to be here just the way the Priest of hell is not fit to be here! This is a holy place, and tainters like you are highly unwelcome. The Church rejects you! You must leave tonight!”

“Just because I f+ked the Priest once?” Ruth scoffed.

“The count he did was more than seven, Ruth. It’s too dirty to the ears I can’t even imagine!” Grace shouted. “And even if it had been one, we’re supposed to stay clean, chaste, virgin before stepping this convent as nuns! I dunno how you and the Priest did it, but we need you both out, starting from you Ruth!”

“Yeah, you should leave.” Another Nun stood.

“Vacate the grounds.”

“Leave the Church.”

“Don’t stain the pureness.”

Different utterances from different mouths.

Ruth nodded. “Y’all know that I’m from the President’s family, right?”

“No one’s afraid of your status, Ruth,” Grace pointed at the door. “Leave the Church, now.”

Ruth gave the passage another look, catching the way everyone looked at her like she’s some can of garbage.

She entered her room angrily and stayed behind the door, going down on a squat.

Her garment pulled away from her lap, revealing her thighs.

Wrath’s Girl.

The tattoo sat there darkly.

She kissed it, rubbing the ink.

“Yeah, since I’m doing this shit fully now, I’ll leave the Church.” She looked up. “That Adulterer has to pay heftily, and Tobias? I know how to play my cards for you, bare and naked. You know I love it dangerous.”

“Time to go home.” She got up and began gathering her things.

—

[Industrial Ghetto]

Bexley coughed back to life only after a bucket of water was poured on her at 11pm.

Her sleep was taking too long, and Dora was getting mad about it.

The water had to be poured.

Bexley’s eyes opened, accompanied with rough coughing from her closed throat.

Her nostrils burned wildly from the effects of what she was knocked out with.

Seeing she’s tied to a steel door, her gaze sharpened, snapping forward to catch a haze of unidentified faces.

Faces of hardened hitmen who stood close to the old, graffitied walls of wherever they are.

Their arms are all folded, and they stared at her like lions wanting to eat their own cubs.

Her mind spun when she was who stood in their middle like a boss queen with a weed roll burning away between her lips and big black designer shades over her eyes.

“Dora Redd?” Bexley sounded.

“Reward her for recognizing me at a glance,” Dora motioned at the men.

Another bucket of water was picked up, and Bexley received the downpour on her body. Just that, this one smells like shit.

“It was mixed with sewage water.” Dora smiled.

“You’re playing with fire, Dora. F+k, my expensive skin. You have no idea what you’re doing!!” Bexley screamed.

“Must be a unserious fire,” Dora spread her palms. “Cos I’m not getting burned, bî+ch.”

“You have no idea!!!” Bexley yelled again, kicking against the door, steel pricking her backbone. The chain ate into her skin. “You have no idea what you just did. You’ll die!”

“The sound of death makes me wet, Bexley.” Dora lowered her shades a bit with her index. “Why do you think I’m obsessed with a racer who comes from a family of graveyard addicts? And I am someone who once tried to drown herself in a tub, are you seriously threatening me with death?”

“Bitch, the streets will so enjoy the news of your death cos you won’t be drowning in a tub this time. You’ll be drowning in hell, pus+ya+s!” Bexley dragged herself against the chains.

She felt it on her neck too cos her neck has also been shackled. The chains dragged her throat back, and she gagged, coughing blood.

“You shouldn’t have thought about handing my muse over to Rednecks, whore. Now, enjoy the results.” Dora returned her shades to her eyes.

At the snap of her fingers, the men brought in a large metal bowl of fireballs with metal thongs. They set it down and took three red-hot rods out of the fire.

At the same time, the rods met Bexley’s belly skin, and hell broke lose. She let out a scream hotter than the burn pressing her skin.

“Ohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Dora laughed delightedly, sitting and crossing her legs.

“Now you feel me, bi+chass.” She spat, urging the men to do more.

[Hospital – Dean’s Ward]

The envelope stated that Dean must be the only one to check the contents.

Kelly had to step back while Dean opened it up in the ward corner.

They even had to turn off the ward lights so privacy is heightened.

But as Dean opened each sin note in the envelope, he felt his chest rising. His pores opened too much, giving way for excess skin fluid. The sweat was crazy.

He wiped his forehead with the arm of his hospital gown every second.

This is black as hell.

The sins are heavy.

But thankfully, he has already committed a few, like Greed.

What he feels towards Tobias things is greed.

He always wants whatever Tobias has, and he likes that feeling cos Tobias doesn’t deserve anything good anyways.

Then… Malice and Envy.

He holds a heavy malice and brutal envy against Tobias. It’s unexplainable.

Then… Lu$t.

He doesn’t understand how to sin that sin yet.

And Sloth? Cheating? Heartlessness?

He doesn’t know how to sin for those, too.

Then the last one, Death.

Kill one of the most dearest people to him.

Obviously, after doing that one, he’s bound to achieve the heartlessness sin. Death and Heartlessness go hand in hand.

He looked up from the envelope, and his eyes met with Kelly’s across the ward.

She stood there, staring back.

“Please tell me the sins aren’t cumbersome, Dean.” She said eagarly.

Dean tucked the notes back into the envelope, giving her a fake smile.

“I got it. It’s gonna be easier than I expected.”

“For real?” Kelly rushed over, jumping on him happily.

He held her quick, grinning.

“Meaning, we’re about to elevate? You won’t just be the richest, most prestigious CEO in NYC, but in the whole of America.”

“You know how it works, but of course.” He nodded.

“Yes!!” Kelly screamed, kissing him wistfully. Dean reciprocated mildly.

“Oh my goodness I can’t contain my happiness right now!” She broke it. “Just when I heard that we don’t have to lay low for that bi+ch cos of the land with her, this is another breathtaking news. Oh I love this night so f+kin much!! I love you baby! I can’t wait to marry you officially and be your wife, the First Lady of WIE!”

“You’re flying,” Dean laughed, the weight of the invite in his hands so gnawing, but he hid it behind his smile.

“I mean…my husband-to-be is about to be a Valhalla member, I’mma fly!” She shouted excitedly. “And tommorow? I’m visiting that slut in your darn estate.”

“What are you gonna do?” Dean stopped smiling.

“Secret!” She winked.

—

[Daybreak – Valhalla Club]

Grilled teeth poured a full glass of tequila on the throne table before stepping away silently.

He joined Dyed hair at the base.

On the throne, Xero picked up the flute and had a short sip, then he shifted his gaze to the news on the TV.

It’s still trending.

News of the attacked church, and some are even calling it a massacre, exaggerating the number of injured people to thirty and more.

Extra news is even starting to crawl around about how the Priest is a cultist of some sort, and more news outlets are starting to pick interest in the news and rumours.

Obviously, this isn’t ending soon.

Everyone forgot about the Redd family and Seraphina saga so fast.

“Genevieve and Marley are surely working overtime to make sure this spreads as far as possible. They deserve a promotion here.” Xero dropped the glass.

“My only regret is that no one died in the shootout, they were just injured cos we didn’t get to shoot anyone in vital areas, and that’s because we were fired back by the Odds in the Church.” Grilled teeth huffed.

“That wasn’t an attack for us, nigga.” Xero tackled. “That attack was to cover for Redd family saga and make people forget about it. If I really wanna go to war with Wrath, I’d go with y’all by myself. He shot Tino on his shoulder, and he got shot on the shoulder during the shootout too. That’s enough for now.”

“That fucker got shot only because he got in front of the fire, Leader.” Dyed hair explained. “He’s planning sum'”

“I don’t care what the eff he’s planning. I’m more interested in the moolah, dawg. I’m more interested in ruining his business and raiding his safehouse, give the names of the families he’s laundering for to the cops and create heat around him, then that girl…. Seraphina? I want her, like shit.”

“You definitely have a lot planned in place.” Grilled teeth laughed.

“Yeah,” Xero looked at his palm. “I haven’t forgotten how her chest plums felt when I touched them. Soft, fleshy, full. My hands couldn’t contain the succulence.”

Dyed hair laughed. “The fact that she’s also Dean’s wife.”

“Dean doesn’t give two shits about her.” Xero relaxed.

“He told us to not hurt her too much when we visited his estate to search for the land documents. I wouldn’t say he doesn’t care about her.” Grilled teeth said instantly.

“He’s becoming a member of this grounds soon,” Xero nodded. “We’ll see about it.”

“And I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t enter Tino’s ward when we went. We should kill the mother and bring your son here.” Grilled teeth mentioned.

“You move when I say so, Teeth. Do not f+k this up.” Xero left the room, leaving the warning warm.

“You heard him,” Dyed hair said.

“Those injured Church people in the hospital? One or two has to die. That way, the news gets hotter.” Grilled teeth suggested. “I’mma have to enter that hospital.”

“And face the consequences alone.” Dyed hair nodded.

[Allison’s Mansion – Midday]

“Who the hell?” Allison’s voice rang out, following the ringing of the doorbell as she set the dinning with home-cooked meals and aged wine bottles she specially got.

She left the ostentatious dinning and rushed over to the door, opening up to meet a smiley faced Seraphina.

“Baby!” She squealed, surprised.

“You changed your door code? I couldn’t open!” Seraphina pouted.

“Yeah, after how Dean and his stupid guards barged in, I had to change the door system. You’ll get the new one before you leave though. You’re the second owner of the house anyways.” Allison hugged her tight.

“Gosh, I missed you.” Seraphina breathed her in.

“Me too!” Allison followed with the same energy.

They broke the hug with a little laughter, and Allison led her in, straight to the full dinning.

“You did not!” Seraphina dropped her bag with a jump.

“Yes I did!” Allison smiled wide. “I should have been done, but I told Bexley to come help, and that bî+ch refused, so I had to do it alone,. Take it as it is, bestie. Congratulations on your first sales, my baby.”

“Gawd, you’re so sweet.” Seraphina hugged her again. “I love you so much, Lis. Don’t ever leave me, ok? Even if you get mad at me, just tell me and let’s settle it amicably. I wish I met you earlier, you’re the only one I have by my side.”

“Aww,” Allison rubbed her back. “You better don’t cry. I love you more, Phina. And I’m the only one by your side? What about the helper you have refused to introduce to me?”

Seraphina went rigid at the mention of that part.

She thought it throughout last night. She hasn’t been able to give herself closure or come to conclusion till now. Why did he chase her away after she talked about labels?

He even nearly shot her.

Why the f+k would he do that?

Yeah, he’s a killer who made her suck his có+k kneeling on a dead body, and she should have expected more gore, but at least, she thought their deal made her close to him somehow.

Especially after how he allowed her hug and shut Migos up.

She was wrong.

She even tried studying the mail he sent her about lands, weapons, money laundering and illegal empire management.

But she couldn’t do it well.

Why would he try to shoot her?

Allison broke the hug, giving her face a critical look. “Wait…you didn’t have a fight with the helper, right?”

“No.” Seraphina firmly replied. “No, I’ve just been tired from crocheting my second batch of orders since daybreak.”

“Worry not, I got you!” Allison pulled a chair out for her.

“Thanks, milady!” Seraphina smiled brightly, sitting with great appetite.

Allison is a really great cook.

Seraphina had no one to teach her cooking, so she learnt everything she knows about cooking from Allison.

But Allison’s food is to die for, so preparing a full table of home cooked meals is the best gift she could give.

She enjoyed the meals, especially the hot Mexo-American tamales and the corn dishes, they filled her tummy till she nearly bursted.

Allison kept checking the time though, noticeably.

“Let me guess, workaholic, you have an event?” Seraphina asked.

“Yeah, but by 3, so there’s still enough time to spend with you. It’s not an event per se. But a mysterious owner of a land that caught Redd Holdings interest connected me with a network. Now, the Redds have to meet me if they wanna buy the land, and I’ll direct them to the person. But I’ll get paid hugely.” Allison explained.

“But you don’t even know the owner of the land?” Seraphina frowned.

“Yeah, but he’s a mysterious rich man, Phina. He only messaged me overnight, and I accepted the deal to be his bridge to Redd Holdings. I’ll charge Redd Holdings with millions, trust me to break their backs.” Allison promised, dropping her fork.

Seraphina laughed.

“Now,” Allison stood. “The main part of the shit!” She clapped twice.

And like seven beauticians and female skincare tech came downstairs, carrying trolleys of their kits with their gloved hands, covered heads, and nose masks.

They look too professional like they’re foreign or something.

Seraphina stood, giving Allison two questioning blinks.

“Tell me you’re not selling me, Lis.”

“Girl, you’re about to get your lashes and nails and hair done. Get a pleasing massage and waxing too. I knew you’d say no if I decided to take you there,so I brought them here.” Allison snapped her fingers.

“F+k, you’re persistent.” Seraphina laughed genuinely.

“C’mon!” Allison pulled her. “Come get your beauty multiplied.”

Seraphina didn’t pull back.

She followed, wholeheartedly.

[Odium Hell Building]

The fire burned viciously, as usual. The inferno roared through the building like a live beast, sending huge sparks flickering up noisily.

Odds are present, dressed corporately as required for this place.

It’s the mood.

But they’re not complete yet, cos Tobias isn’t here. His seat is empty.

There’s an addition in the middle of the place—the ginger-haired reporter.

She’s not tied up, Odds find it overrated. She’s on the ground, unable to move. The shots of injection in her body makes that impossible.

She lay like a living corpse with slightly foamy stuff coming out of her lip corner.

“When’s the Horror Night again?” An Odd asked beside Migos.

“You asked the wrong person,” Yalda responded from the other side. “This bastard is naturally temperamental, but now he got a leg shot from Wrath, he’ll eat you raw. Horror Night is next week, to answer your question.” She raised a shoulder.

Migos kept quiet, but he released a thick grunt, maintaining his posture.

All talks siezed when Tobias entered with Jude behind him.

Silence reigned, and the ginger-haired reporter on the ground struggled to get up again, following her survival instincts.

The instincts died as fast as they kicked. She only let out more foamy stuff from her mouth.

“Mmh,” Tobias sounded. “She’s here.” He gave her a cruel smile.

“Bitch was at her only son’s birthday party. We got her dead-drunk, and transported her.” Yalda talked.

While Jude stayed beside Yalda, Tobias stood beside the reporter’s body on the ground.

He pushed her head aside with his shoe, and she rolled flat on her back, jerking helplessly.

“Migos, get me water, or your pee. Any damn liquid.” Tobias muttered.

Migos excused himself and returned after a minute with a bottle containing his pee.

He sprinkled it generously on the reporter’s face, and that seemed to give her a little power to tilt up.

“Y…you…?” Her drowsy eyes met with Tobias’s striking ones.

“Yeah, me.” Tobias raised a shoulder, his smile turning crueller. “The Priest who smells nice. The perfume is oud, and I make it myself, yearly. I’d have made you one, but you’re not gonna be able to use it anyways. I might send one to your son though.”

“Let go of…me…” She kicked, gritting her teeth painfully as she spat out thick saliva, the urine formed rivulets down her neck. “If you think I’m scared of your tricks, then you have something else coming.”

“I do like your determination to get your job done though. I mean, the Redd couple gave you the Intel to come for me, and you came.” Tobias lowered that shoulder.

“How did you….” She whimpered shockingly, grabbing her tummy.

“I’d spare you for your boldness, but I hate your hair,” Tobias’s stare lowered to her strands. “I’ve always had this burning hatred for ginger color. In elementary school, a classmate confessed she liked me, but she was ginger-haired. I poisoned her during lunch and she suffered from severe hair loss throughout the year.”

“You don’t scare me!” The woman shook her head, bold. “You don’t.”

“Ok,” Tobias nodded, signalling at Yalda and one other odd.

The two entered one of the Hell rooms and pushed a button.

A guillotine rolled out from a secured hydraulic system in the ground.

The blade looks like it hasn’t tasted blood before, but that’s because it’s been long since it tasted blood.

This blade ended hundreds.

The ginger-haired woman stayed stupidly bold as she was dragged there, neck placed between the blade and stake.

“You don’t scare me!!” She yelled.

Tobias pushed the blade button by himself. The blade went down her neck smoothly, precisely, slicing her head away from her body.

The head rolled down to a waiting bowl, and her blood stained Tobias’s face as it splashed out of her stump.

The Odds smiled. Everyone of them.

Cos as the blood flowed, it flowed to the burning fire, acting like the gasoline, fueling the flames.

Smokes arose.

Their smiles turned to chuckles of a new oil to the fire after years.

Jude passed an handkerchief to Tobias. He took it and wiped his bloody face smoothly.

“It’s the Horror Night next week, Hell’s Paradise will be open. Get enough jolts for your muscles, heat will resume.” He announced.

“Yes, Wrath!” They echoed satisfactorily.

“Drive me to Dean’s Estate,” He faced Jude. “He has so much to pay for. It’s hightime I paid him a visit.”

[Dean’s Estate – Seraphina’s Room]

Seraphina made sure to make the final piece of her second batch before taking her phone to start studying the detailed email she received.

Father Tobias might have almost shot her last night, but the deal still stands, and if she does well in this, she gets the land completely.

She can’t bomb it.

She has spent three hours on it now. Having the whole house to herself paid off. No noise. No distractions.

Though, her new lash extensions and nails feel weird and new on her, even curled hair extensions. Allison made her get everything including waxing.

When the hair extensions got too disturbing, she had to cover up with a hair bonnet.

Now she lay on her back in bed, phone screen to her eyes with low lighting as she read, ignoring the lashes that feels like she carried a country on her eyes.

The sudden buzz of her phone distracted her.

She’d have ignored, but when she saw who it was, she spranged up quick.

Sugar Father.

That’s the new one she saved the Priest’s main number with it.

He texted her?

She clicked fast, and when she saw the message, she relaxed.

Sugar Father: Reading?

She typed back…

Seraphina: Nope. Thinking about how you nearly shot me.

Sugar Father: It turned you on? Tell me how my p$ssy is doing.

Seraphina: Uninteresting as f+k. Didn’t know you were so sensitive about your childhood. I’ll stay off.

Sugar Father: Good. And there’s a gun-use note in the email too. Read extensively, you can decide to shoot back next time, if you dare.

Seraphina smiled before adjusting in bed, typing…

Seraphina: I got my nails and hair and lashes done. Wanna see?

She quickly took pictures of her eyes, nails, and she removed her bonnet to take the curly hair extensions too.

Even her ears, she took pictures too cos Allison made her wear earrings.

But before she could send the pictures, he sent another text…

Sugar Father: I’ll see for myself.

Seraphina: I don’t get.

Sugar Father: Stay confused.

Seraphina frowned, deciding to wait for what his plan is.

But she still sent him the pictures anyways, then she dropped the phone and went downstairs for some juice, but she stopped when Kelly bounced in, looking like she owned the estate and Seraphina herself.

She didn’t come alone.

She has cooperate thugs behind her who went upstairs at her orders.

They entered the bedroom and began throwing Seraphina’s things out.

Not just out, but from the railings, they threw it down, shattering the large bags and breaking the heels and other shoes.

They tore the sneakers.

They weren’t just throwing, that were destroying, too.

“What the….f+k!” Seraphina dropped her juice, rushing up, but Kelly met her halfway up and planted herself in her way like a fuck.

“Oh, the bitch retouched herself. Lash? Nails? Hair extensions? You smell like you bathed with perfume too! Ohhhhhh…. you’ve been fuckin a sugar daddy…. haven’t you? Well your stay here is over. You can do whatever the f+k you want with the land, and you can continue your business marriage with Dean from a sauna or ghetto, but leave!”

Another of Seraphina’s bags was thrown from up, and her crotchets poured away. The second batch she’s working on.

“My work!” She forcefully pushed Kelly off, making her way up.

But Kelly just wouldn’t accept it. She pulled her leg, dragging her back to the starting spot.

Pivoting, Seraphina kicked her away, and she rolled down.

Kelly hit her head on the railings more than twice before she landed.

Dean showed up immediately.

His layered head bandages are gone, but it’s obvious he’s still weak from the way he carried his neck delicately.

“Kelly?” He rushed in. “Kelly, what the f+k!” She went forward.

“Babe!” Kelly stood, holding her head with a wince, but to her shock, Dean went past her, going over to Seraphina who’s above.

“You ok?” He asked her.

Seraphina scoffed, and another one of her bags landed from the thugs.

“Throw one more, and I’ll make sure y’all get imprisoned without a bail for life, paupers!” Dean seethed.

“Dean!” Kelly’s eyes popped.

“I told you to never do anything without my consent! Do you ever listen?” Dean yelled.

“Dean?” Kelly repeated, still shocked at his tone. “Dean, it’s me! Your fucking fiancee!”

And then the house received a new visitor, strolling in dignified from the door.

Tobias, with Jude behind him.

Seraphina’s eyes lit.

So this is what he meant by he’d see it for himself?

“Tobias?” Dean’s eyes squeezed in displeasure and irritation.

But Tobias looks like he’s not even here to see the owner of the house.

He went past Kelly, past Dean himself, till he reached Seraphina.

She didn’t expect it, but he did the unexpected anyways. It was instant and fast.

He lowered his lips to her new lashes, kissing both her eyes deeply.

Then, he lifted her two fingers to his lips to kiss the blue-painted shinny long nails, too. Her two ears received the domination of his lips next.

He kissed the earrings.

His lips met her hair last. She felt the kiss in her scalp.

Seraphina melted, her knees nearly gave out under her body.

But his next words ruined her more life more……

“You’re damn beautiful, Anathema.”

Her heart raced unhealthily as she looked up at his eyes, forgetting about the other people present here.

“Sugar Father.” She whispered.

TBC.
