Ishmael POV:
Call me weird but I feel so drawn to Avril’s maid and it is driving me crazy.
She is not that beautiful, but there’s something about her that I couldn’t ignore.
Jane.
I don’t want to betray Avril but…..it just confusing. Yes I heard the story between Ace and Avril from Jane.
Yes she said that Avril lost her memory, but then she’ll regain it someday and find out that I’m not the man she wants not the man she loves.
The door was pushed open and Avril walk in with Janet beside her. She was glowing radiantly. She look different.
“Hey baby.” I greeted, I stood up from the bed and walk closer to her and kissed her cheek. I felt her frozen but she later smiled.
“What’s up?” She asked with a smile.
“Just lonely, baby why did you spend so much time in DC?” I asked.
“I was held by business,” she said and I nods.
“I’ll go and run a bath for you ma’am.” Jane said, her eyes on me. I gulped nervously while trying not to make eye contact with her.
“So how was everything?” She asked me, she was looking at me somehow.
Is she suspecting me?
“Very good.” She grab my hand and drawl me closer.
“Don’t you miss me?” She whispered seductively.
“I miss you baby,miss you so much.” Isaid with a smile. Even if i no longer have feelings for her she is still my girlfriend of almost two years.
She placed her lips on mine and kissed me slowly, her eyes closed and her hands around my neck.
She broke the kiss when Jane walked in.
“Tell the cook to prepare something for me to eat.” She told Jane who nodded, she glanced at me then walk out.
“Is something going on between you and Jane?” She asked,I stood there gaping at her.
“Avril….I……I”
“I know you too well Ishmael, are you in love with her now?” She asked, I pursed my lip into a thin line and nodded slowly.
“I’m sorry Avril.” I said but she smiled instead.
“I’m not mad at you Ishmael, you fell in love and I’m happy for you.” She said and I stare at her in shock.
This is not Avril, Avril will never say this instead she will stare yelling at me.
“What did you just say?” I asked, just to be sure of myself.
“Things changes Ishmael, human changes too and so do I, you have my blessings.” She said then walk inside the bathroom.
Something is not right.
I pick up my phone from the bed and walk out of the room,going inside Jane room.
“Why are you here?” She asked, “your girlfriend is back now.”
“She knows, she gave her blessings.” I said calmly and her eyes widened like a saucer.
“What? You must be joking.” She said and I shook my head.
“I gave my blessings, Ishmael is a good person so if this is what he wants. I’m in full support.” Avril voice came from the door.
Avril POV:
Ishmael confession surprised me but I was more confused at myself for not flaring up.
I actually gave him away just like that.
Ace.
He is the reason behind all this, he came into my life, poison my mind and control my body.
I can’t seem to do anything without thinking about him.
I walk back inside my room, my eyes fixed on his phone number on my phone.
Should I call him?
Will he think different of me if I do?
I sigh and lay back on the bed, I closed my eyes, my hands under my head.
Soon “me by Taylor Swift” started playing on my phone, I check my phone and my heart skipped a bit.
“Hi,” I greeted calmly.
“You are awake?” He asked and I hummed. I glanced at my watch and sigh.
Dad and mom will be back soon.
“I miss you.” I heard him say and I blushed hard.
Like seriously? Can you stop making me blush?
“I miss you too.” I admits before I could shut up.
He chuckled and I hide my face on the pillow.
“I’m glad to hear that.” He finally said and I heaved a sigh of relieve.
“Will you go to work tomorrow?” He asked.
“Of course,”
“I’ll visit.” He said dryly.
Wow! I’m sweating pretty hard, did the air conditioner broke off?
“Okay, I’ll be expecting you.” I said not knowing what else to say.
“I love you.” He whispered.
“Ace…..I….”
“You’re not entitled to say it back Avril, I understand.” He said and I sigh heavily.
“Good night my love.” He mumbled.
“Good night.” He hanged up and i dropped my phone beside me then close my eyes.
