I opened my eyes running it with my hand. I stared at the ceiling and then noticed it wasn’t a familiar one.
“Where am I?” I thought looking at my side to see Rose sleeping next to me, with her head on my chest.
“Holy shit!” I yelled jumping off the bed. That was when I realized I was naked and I had done something terrible.
“Hey.” She said looking at me with her sleepy eyes.
“Rose what did you do? What did you make me do?” I asked in terror reaching for my trouser.
“What we should have done a long time ago.” She replied and I became so angry at myself. I should have known she was up to no good.
“Rose I am with Sandra! I love her so much! Why did you drug my coffee?” I asked reaching for my shirt too.
“Stop making it look like I am the enemy okay? We both know we enjoyed the sex.” She Said and I felt nothing but guilt. Knowing I just betrayed Sandra and she would be at home waiting for me. How do I even face her?
“You are insane Rose.” I said angrily heading to the door and she rushed to me and held my hand back.
“Okay hold on. I know I acted selfish last night, and I am sorry about that. But this is simple Kel, let it pass. I don’t want you to tell Sandra about anything, she would get mad. Let this be our little secret. And in return, I will resume work at the school this morning.” She said smiling.
I just stared at her not knowing what to say or do.
“Good bye.” I said releasing my hand from hers and storming out of the room.
I rushed out of the house and stopped a taxi. I jumped into it and gave him the address to my house.
In the taxi, I couldn’t think straight. I just slept with my best friend, and I know Rose well, sh wouldn’t stop.
I need to tell Sandra, but how do I do that? She will be so hurt, and she would have every reason to leave me this time.
We got to the apartment, and I came down from the taxi. I paid the driver off and headed to the apartment slowly.
My heart kept beating very fast as I got closer to my own apartment.
I breathed in and out before reaching for the door and opening it. The door gave way and I walked into the house.
I looked at the living room and I saw Sandra wasn’t there.
“Sandra.” I called but I got to response.
I walked to the room and I couldn’t find her there too.
“Sandra.” I called again walking into the bathroom but she was nowhere to be found.
“Oh no. This isn’t happening.” I said holding my head in my hands.
“Sandra!” I called again staring at the room fearfully.
Then I noticed something. I walked to the mirror and I saw the drawer was slightly open.
I also looked around more and I saw the comb was on the mirror drawer and the hair cream was on the floor.
“Sandra can’t be so careless to scatter the house like this. Something happened.” I thought fearfully.
I looked around the room for more clues, and then I sighed her towel on the floor very close to the wall.
“Oh no. She just finished bathing.” I though rushing to where the towel laid.
I racked my brain trying to figure out what exactly happened.
I picked up my phone and decided to give her a call.
I dialed her number and it began to ring, only to know her phone was on the drawer.
I rushed there to pick up her phone, when I saw a message on it. It was typed on it
📩You can never find her, you should have left her when you had the chance. But now I leave you to your guilt 📩
I read and In anger I threw the phone against the wall and it scattered into pieces.
“No! No! No!” I shouted as tears rolled down my eyes.
“Sandra can’t be gone!! Who the hell came here to take her?”
“I am sure she was so scared when they took her. Oh my God. I am so sorry Sandra, I shouldn’t have taken that coffee.”
“I should have been back since last night. It’s all my fault this happened. And I promise that I would find you, and save you. I promise.” I said feeling great guilt in me.
