MATTHEW’S POV
I opened my eyes slowly to see Dora staring at me with a beautiful smile. I smiled back looking around me.
I saw my head was on her thighs then I remembered I fell unconscious earlier. I rose up my head rubbing my face with my palm.
“You are finally awake, how are you feeling?” She asked touching my forehead.
“Better thanks. For how long have I slept?” I asked.
“Approximately Two hours.” She replied smiling.
“Two hours!! On your thighs!! Does it hurts?” I asked in shock checking her thighs with my hands.
“C’mon Matt, it doesn’t hurt it is just two hours.” She said giggling.
“You should have laid my on the floor instead of your thighs.” I said.
“I patted you till you fell asleep on my laps, didn’t want to wake you up. You seemed to really enjoy your nap.” She said yawning.
“Am sorry for stressing you.” I said sadly.
“You are not stressing me Matt, you are my friend and I am ready to do anything for you.” She said holding my hands.
“Hmmm Matt, you heard it from mother right?” I said smiling.
“Yes, and I loved it. So I decided to borrow it.” She said laughing.
“Nice, I love it. Where is mother?” I asked standing up.
“She was already dozing on the couch so I told her to go rest.” She said.
“Go rest? When you aren’t resting?” I asked angrily.
“Matt it is nothing. I am not complaining.” She replied smiling.
I bent to carry her and I placed her on her chair.
“Thank you.” She said shyly.
“Guess what?” She said happily.
“What?” I replied anxiously.
“Your mother said she will be paying me $500 every month for been your tutor and she gave me this.” She said showing me an envelope.
“Just $500? That is too small, I will tell her to double it.” I said walking away.
“No Matt, come back. It is more than enough, I don’t want more. Your mother said it already that you would want to add more.” She said and I turned to look at her.
“They can afford it. Its not a big deal if i increased it.” I said firmly.
“No I beg of you,don’t.” She said.
“Okay.” I said sighing as I moved to her.
“It is 6pm already, I need to head home.” She said sadly.
“Yes,I can’t disappoint your mother. I will drive you home.” He said moving to my back and pushing me to the door.
“You can drive?” She asked in surprise.
“Of course I can. Its not a big deal.” I said giggling.
“I would have told your mother I am off but I don’t want to disturb her.” She said.
“I will tell her” I replied.
We got outside and I collected the car key from my driver, telling him I will be back soon. He asked to take us but I refused. I want to drive her myself.
I carried her and placed her in the front seat before putting her wheelchair in the back seat.
“Matt don’t forget Faith’s birthday party on next tomorrow.” She said.
“Oh.” I said rolling my eyes.
“Its on a Saturday so you don’t have an excuse. Moreover we will be there together, it will be so much fun. And I promise we won’t stay long.” She rapped pouting her mouth.
“Fine, I will come pick you by 12pm.” I said smiling
“Thank you so much. I love you !!” She said happily.
“I love you too.”i replied winking at her and I saw her blush.
I really do love her but I don’t know how she will react if I tell her seriously.
😥 MRS RIVER’S POV 😥
“Romeo thank you so much for your time, I really appreciate it.” I said as we walked out of the house.
“It is nothing Florence, and I have an offer if you don’t mind.” He said smiling.
“Sure, I don’t mind.” I replied.
“I was thinking if you would like to work in my company, at least just as a secretary.” He said smiling.
“What? Secretary? I didn’t even finish my secondary education. I am sorry but I can’t cope.” I said sadly.
“Florence I don’t care, you are a smart woman you are going to cope. Please let me help you.” He said holding my hands.
I was so filled with happiness that tears started to drop from my eyes.
“Thank you so much.” I mumbled.
“Florence don’t cry. You have suffered enough and it is time for you to enjoy.” He said pulling me into a hug.
“I will be forever grateful to you Romeo.” I said cleaning my eyes.
Soon a car stopped right in front of us. The door opened and I saw Matthew come out of the car.
“Hey Matthew.” I called. He waved at me and ran to the boot of the car, he opened it and I saw him drop Theodora’s Wheelchair.
He moved it to the front door and opened the door and I saw Theodora smiling. And to my amusement, he bent and carried her from the car.
He placed her on the chair and moved her to where we stood.
“Mother.” Theodora called happily.
“Theodora.” I said walking to meet her. I kissed her on her cheek and she did the same to me.
“Ma’am am sorry for dropping her late.” Matthew said.
“Its okay, Romeo kept my company too.” I said smiling at Roomeo.
“I will leave now Dora.” He said to her kissing her head while she held his hand smiling.
“See you tomorrow.” She said as he waved me goodbye and walked back to his car.
“I guess I will leave too. I will come take you to the office tomorrow.” He said kissing my cheeks.
“Okay Romeo, thank you so much.” I replied happily.
“My pleasure.” He said blowing Theodora and I a kiss before leaving.
“Guess what!!” Theodora and I chorused suddenly.
“Wow, let’s go in and I will tell you the great news!” I said happily moving her chair in.
