Author ‘s POV
In a park where grasses and trees were green to the core, the air was fresh with the scent of different flowers in it, children and dogs played on the dry grass as couples watch them, some were seated under trees chatting and some were on the grass enjoying the soothing wind and calm sun
Laughter and chatting filled the air, if one should close his/her eyes and feel the freshness and coldness of the wind to it fullness, they would hear the beautiful chirping of birds and a strange relaxing music that touches the heart and melts the very soul
A boy of sixteen was in a open part of the park playing with his dog, a male Dalmatian, the boy’s head was covered with a hood and his face with a mask, he threw a disc and the dog ran to catch it but never returned because it ran after a female dog instead, the boy laughed at the stupidity of his dog, his vivid China blue eyes shinning so brightly
His eyes landed on a fourteen years old girl seated on the ground with crossed legged and her eyes focused on a big red book, her obviously silky cream hair styled into a braided chignon
He couldn’t help but gape at her, she was beautiful beyond description, he felt strangely connected to her as he stood there gaping, she lifted her eyes and it met his, a strange wind blew around them, it was cold and magically, her shimmering silver cat eyes glowing, she stared at him uncertainly before turning her eyes away
That moment, she didn’t know how important he’ll be to her in the future, how special she would be to him as well. His dog returned, he patted his head and averted his eyes to her again but she was gone, he felt tears in his eyes for no reason, he wiped it off and looked away, the image of the girl permanently printed in his mind and heart

Raquelia’s POV
I woke up with a yawn, today was going to be a good day, mine and mom’s birthday was today, and their anniversary too, I got out of bed and ran to their room, I jumped on their bed, as in on them
‘Daddy, mommy, it’s morning already! ” I squealed, they groaned
‘Melissa, attend to her’ dad groaned
‘Why me? I did that yesterday’ she whined
‘Mommy!!!!!!!!!!!’
‘I’m up I’m up!!! ” they shouted
‘Happy birthday mommy, happy anniversary parents’
‘Happy birthday Honeybun’ mom said sweetly and kissed my cheek
‘Thank you flower’ dad smiled
‘Can I ask a question now?’
‘Sure honey’
‘Shoot’
‘Why is mommy naked?’
‘Shit!’ Mom exclaimed and covered herself with the duvet. ‘It was hot last night so I took off my clothes’
‘Is it okay if I say you’re lying?’ I asked sweetly
‘Now who’s ready to go to Disneyland?!’ Dad asked happily
‘Me!!!’
‘Okay get up let’s go, it’s a long ride’ dad smiled
‘Baby why don’t you run to your bathroom and get yourself ready?’
Mom asked, I smiled and ran out to my room, few minutes later, mom joined me later and put me in a bubble bath, I splashed the water happily singing rhymes, mom sang along with me.
‘Mommy can I call cousin Jena later? I miss her’
‘You spoke to her before you went to sleep last night’
‘Stop stating the obvious mommy, Jena is always miss able’ I snapped
‘Okay dear, you can’
‘Mommy is daddy going to go to heaven and get me a younger brother soon?’
‘What?’
‘Jena told me that daddies go to the heavenly gates of mommies and get children’ I said calmly, she rolled her eyes
‘Felicia need to watch that daughter of hers, she’s getting rotten’ mom murmured, I ignored her, later after breakfast I used mom’s phone to call Jena
‘Hey cuz’ she chirped
‘Hi cuzzy, daddy will….’
‘Happy birthday, can’t forget that’ she cut me off happily
‘Thank you, are you on your way to Disneyland yet?’

‘I love you too’ I hung up and gave it back to mom. ‘Can we go now?’
‘Sure but first we want you to stop listening to some things your cousin tells you, she’s just seven and don’t know anything’
‘I’m just six and know everything’ I said jokingly, they chuckled and kept quiet
I sang along with mom and dad as we went on the ride, I couldn’t wait to see my cousins again. I patted my dog’s head, her name’s Sequin
‘Sequin do you think we’ll see Cinderella?’ I asked lowly, she barked. ‘Maybe I’ll meet my Prince’
‘You’re too young for princes honeybun’ mom said coldly
‘Leave her alone to dream dear’ dad scolded
‘I just don’t want her to fantasize about boys yet, she’s too young, she’s six’
‘Melissa leave the girl alone and be quiet’ dad snapped. ‘Listen flower, you can indeed find your Prince charming just like your mom found me, as long as you trust in your heart and believe in love….’
‘You’ll find a guy that will hurt you’ mom interjected. ‘No matter what you do, don’t let a guy take you for a fool, be strong and confident and show them all that you are Raquelia’ I giggled and cuddled Sequin closer
I looked out of the window and stared at the flashing trees, everywhere was calm and cold, I heard a melody in my head as time slowed down, it was like a mermaid song, I saw the image of a lady in the window, smiling at me, her hair was yellow and white, her eyes too
‘M….m…m…m….m….mommy” I cried, they both turned to look at me
‘What is it dear?’ I pointed at the window but they couldn’t see her, then we heard a honk, a big trailer was heading straight to us, dad skillfully dodges it but he needed to slow down
‘The brake is not working’ he panicked
‘Honey don’t joke with me’ Mom yelled
‘I’m serious!’
‘Oh my God!’
The car spun and somersaulted, my door flew open and something or someone dragged me out, I rolled on the floor until I hit a stone, my dad’s car crashed and exploded, like a bomb was placed in it
‘Mommy, daddy, Sequin’ I said weakly as tears rolled down my cheeks
‘Sleep Raquelia, sleep’ a voice whispered and I fainted
