Arya sat in the garden, reading quietly, oblivious to the gaze fixed on her. Karan stood watching her, his eyes filled with a mixture of emotions.
Roshni approached him quietly, her eyes filled with concern. “Are you okay, son?” she asked.
Karan started, turning to face her. “Mom, you scared me,” he said, a nervous laugh escaping his lips.
“What are you doing standing here, watching Arya?” she asked, her voice gentle but probing.
“Um, nothing, Mom,” he stuttered nervously.
“Don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking. Are you…?” she trailed off, her eyes searching Karan’s face.
Karan sighed, knowing full well what she meant. “Mom…” he began, his voice laced with sadness.
“You know you’re already engaged to Samara. Your marriage with her has been fixed. You’re getting married to her in a week’s time.”
“I know, Mom.”
“Then why now, with Arya?” She asked, her voice gentle.
“That’s the point, Mom. I’m confused. I don’t know why I’m having these sudden feelings.”
“It’s too late now, son. She’s with Rohan now, and they’re getting engaged soon.” Her face softened, and she caressed his face in understanding.
Karan’s eyes closed, and he sighed tiredly, the weight of his emotions crushing him.
Meanwhile, Samara, Kiara, and Sonia hid behind a nearby bush, their eyes wide with shock and anger as they listened to the conversation.
As soon as they entered the room, Sonia spoke.
“She’s becoming a threat. Now Karan has fallen for her.”
“I won’t let this happen. I’m almost close to becoming Karan’s wife, and she wants to ruin it.”Samara’s face darkened with anger.
“She’s really a wh@re, she’s playing with two people’s emotions.”
“We have to do something before it’s too late.”Sonia’s voice turned conspiratorial.
“What do you think we should do?” Kiara asked.
“Let’s make a plan to set her up.” Sonia said.
“Set her up? How and with who?” Samara asked.
“I have a better plan. We’ll use Ved to set her up.”
Their confusion turned to shock, and they leaned in closer to Sonia. “Let me break it down for you,” Sonia whispered, her voice barely audible.
The three girls huddled together, their faces twisted with scheming and malice, as they began to weave a web of deceit to bring Arya down.

A week later, with only a day to go before Karan and Samara’s wedding, everyone was in a flurry of preparations. Karan decided to take a break and hang out with his friends at their favorite pub. As they sat drinking and chatting, Abhi raised his glass.
“Finally, man, your dream of marrying Samara has come true.”
“I guess so.” He gulped his drink, trying to shake off the feeling of unease that had been growing inside him.
Rohan clinked his glass against Karan’s. “Yeah, I’m happy for you, man.”
Meanwhile, Sonia and the others put their plan into action. Ved was alone in his room when Kiara knocked and entered with a glass of juice.
“Here’s the juice you requested,” Kiara said, placing it on the shelf beside him.
Ved looked up at her, slightly surprised. “Why are you the one bringing my juice?”
“I just decided to help because the worker seemed tired.”Kiara smiled innocently.
Ved took a sip of the juice, unaware of the deceit. “Okay, thank you.”
Kiara smiled and left the room, a sly smirk spreading across her face.
Down the hall, Sonia stopped one of the workers, holding out a glass of milk.
“Here, go give this milk to Arya. It’s from Grandma.”
The worker took the glass, none the wiser, and headed to Arya’s room. Sonia watched her go, a sly smile spreading across her face.
Arya was seated on her bed, reading quietly, when the worker knocked and entered.
“Good evening, Miss Arya. This milk is from Grandma.”
Arya looked up, smiling, and took the milk.”Thank you.”
She drank from the glass, unaware of the sinister intentions behind it, before returning to her book.
Back at the pub, Karan and Abhi were heavily drunk, laughing and slurring their words. Rohan sat across from them, laughing at their drunken antics. He had promised Arya never to get drunk, no matter what, and he had kept his promise.
“You two are really wasted,” Rohan teased, chuckling.
“It’s fun, though. I just wish this night never ended, so I wouldn’t have to get married.”Karan grinned drunkenly.
“Why did you say that? Don’t you want to get married to Samara?”Rohan asked.
Karan shook his head, his eyes clouding over. “No, I don’t want to continue with this wedding. I guess it’s too late to end it.”
“I don’t get you, Karan. Is there a reason for this?”
“I agree, too. I don’t like Samara for you,” Abhi slurred, his eyes half-closed.
“What’s the reason, Karan? Is it because of Arya?”Rohan’s eyes locked onto Karan’s.
“It’s because of her. I love Arya. I’ve fallen deeply in love with her, and it hurts me so bad that I let her slip off my hands. I regret everything I did to her, and I wish I could turn back the hands of time.”Karan’s face turned solemn, and he nodded, his eyes filled with sadness.
Rohan’s heart sank, his emotions in turmoil. He felt a pang of heartbreak, knowing that his friend had fallen for the woman he loved.
“You love Arya?” Abhi asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Karan nodded vigorously. “Yes, yes, yes, I love her so much. I just wish she could give me another chance to make it up to her.”
As Karan finished speaking, he and Abhi both dozed off, exhausted from their drinking binge. Rohan sat in stunned silence, his heart heavy with emotion. There was a saying, “A drunkard never lies,” and Rohan knew that Karan’s words were true.
Back home, Samara and the girls snuck into Ved’s room, finding him deep in sleep. They exchanged sly smirks as they moved closer to him on the bed.
Next, they crept into Arya’s room, where she was also fast asleep. They helped her out of bed, supporting her on their shoulders as they carried her out of the room and into Ved’s.
They laid her down beside Ved on the bed, and Samara’s face lit up with satisfaction. “This is perfect.”
The girls shared a triumphant smile.
“There’s one more thing left,” Sonia said, moving closer to Ved. She started to undo his buttons and take off his shirt.
“This is more convincing that they slept together,” Kiara whispered.
Samara placed Ved’s hand on Arya’s waist, and they left the room, smiling happily to themselves.
“Well done,” Samara whispered.
“She’s going to be kicked out of the house tomorrow and humiliated in front of everyone,” Sonia said, her eyes gleaming with malice.
“Exactly! I can’t wait to see the look on Rohan’s face when he sees this.”Kiara chuckled.
“I should go get some sleep now and prepare for my fantastic wedding tomorrow.”Samara grinned, feeling pleased with herself.
The girls left, still smiling, as they anticipated the chaos that would unfold the next day.
Meanwhile, Rohan drove Karan and Abhi to his house, exhausted from the night’s events. He helped them out of the car, one after the other, and guided them to the couch in the living room.
With a mixture of amusement and exasperation, Rohan made them lie down on the couch. “You guys are one hell of a drunkard,” he sighed tiredly, shaking his head.
He stood over them, looking at their peaceful, albeit drunken, faces. “This is where you’ll sleep till tomorrow, because you both deserve it.”
He chuckled to himself, remembering the events of the night. He then turned and headed inside, leaving Karan and Abhi to their well-deserved rest.
