…. THE NEXT DAY….
I got to class waiting eagerly for Rosslyn. It is 9am already and she is yet to arrive, I hope all is fine.
The lecturer walked in holding a large textbook in his hands. I was getting so scared for Rosslyn, she won’t be able to come in when the lecturer starts.
He placed the books on the table and everyone settled down.
He was about talking when Rosslyn rushed into the class looking all sweaty.
“Good morning Sir.” She said breathing hard.
“What is with you and coming late to class?” He asked angrily and I couldn’t hear the class giggle making me angry.
“Sir I am so sorry.” She replied bowing.
“The next time you come late to my class again, I will have no choice than to send you out.” He said and she nodded running to me.
“Hi.” She said smiling and sitting on the chair.
“Hi, why did you come late?” I asked.
“I slept late and I woke up late.” She replied opening her note.
“And your mother didn’t complain?” I further asked.
“She didn’t.” She replied coldly.
“Okay.” I said reluctantly as I saw her countenance change.
She nodded as we both faced the Mathematics lecturer.
The lecturer was done with the class and I couldn’t even gain a single thing from what he was saying.
I was so worried about Rosslyn, she looked so sad and quite.
Immediately the lecturer was out I faced her.
“What is wrong with you?” I asked looking very worried.
“Can I ask you something?” She answered and I felt my heart skip.
“What?” I asked fearfully.
“Who are you? Where do you come from?” She asked staring at me.
Woah, didn’t see that coming.
“Well I am Fernando Tokyo, and I am from here. Why this questions Rosslyn? What is going on?” I asked feeling so confused.
“I told mother about the dream I had and all she had to say was stay away from him.” She replied sighing.
“Your dream!? What is it about? Who is the him?” I asked feeling more confused.
“You know what… Never mind Fernando, it is useless.” She replied smiling.
“C’mon Rosslyn, you need to tell me or my consequence won’t let me rest.” I insisted.
“Never mind Fernando. Are you in for the biology assignment?” She asked.
“Yes I am.” I replied reluctantly when I saw Jackie walk up to us.
“Hey dude!” He said shaking my hands.
“Bro.” I replied smiling.
“Must you guys always look intense?” He asked sitting close to me.
“Come off it Jackie.” Rosslyn said rolling her eyes.
“Wow. She spoke to me.” He said as his mouth dropped open.
“Don’t be a moron Jackie.” I replied giggling.
“Dude, she has never talked to me or anyone in this class except you and that is why I felt their is a chemistry between both of you.” He rapped winking.
“Okay you are crazy.” I laughed.
“I am not, I know exactly what I am saying. You just have to be careful, the girls won’t take it easy with you.” He said staring at Stephanie.
We both looked at her and i saw her look at her with so much hatred.
“What is wrong with her?” I asked angrily.
“You are wrong with her. You are the trending guy in school now and she always moves with any trending guy.” He said.
“And why am I trending? I am new around here.” I added.
“You are the hottest dude in school now, so you automatically trend. I just pray your familiarity with Rosslyn doesn’t endanger her. The b**ch can be so desperate.” He said standing up.
“Why am I always feeling I will get hurt when I am close to you?” Rosslyn asked staring at me.
“Oh… I think I am done here.” Jackie replied walking away briskly.
“Rosslyn, nothing will happen to you okay?” I said holding her hands.
“I pray so.” She replied staring at me.
