She looked down, then back at him, her heart racing.
What did he mean by *taste*?

*Hot chocolate*, she thought. That had to be it—right? That was the only thing he could’ve meant.

“Here,” she said, handing the mug to him.

Mr. Kings looked at her, clearly amused.
Was she really that innocent… or just pretending?

“I don’t drink that shit,” he said bluntly, taking the cup from her before she could respond.

Then, without warning, he lifted her from the chair and set her down on the desk.

Ana gasped, her chest rising and falling quickly as she tried to catch her breath.

“Are you really that innocent… or are you just pretending, Baby Doll?” he asked, his hand resting firmly on her waist as he stepped between her parted thighs.

*Baby Doll.*
When did he start calling her that?
And why did she like it so much?

His gaze dropped to her lips. She licked them unconsciously, and when their eyes met again, his darkened. Something intense passed between them.

“I don’t know what I’m doing,”

“I don’t want to stop… whatever this is we’re doing, I want it to last. I know even if I let you go now, I won’t be able to stay away, as long as you’re this close to me, Ana.”

Ana stared at him as his words sank in. What did this mean to her… and to him? He was her boss. And his company had many strict rules. The first one being exactly what they were doing right now — which was not allowed.
And Fatima… she’s his girlfriend, right?

Does this mean he is cheating on her with her? All those thoughts ran through her head as she stared at him. But even though her mind was racing with different emotions, she couldn’t stop herself or deny what her body felt under his touch.

“This is what you want, just take it while it lasts,” she whispered to herself before moving her face closer to Mr. Kings. Her hand rested on him, inviting him for a kiss, which surprised both her and Mr. Kings.

Her lips moved against his slowly, not rushed. Mr. Kings kissed her back with tenderness, drinking her in like wine. Fuck, her lips tasted like chocolate—so fucking nice. Her breath turned him on; his tongue moved against hers, and she whimpered against his lips.

F+k that whimper.

It drove him nuts. His hands moved under her ass, and she lifted her body as he pulled the dress up over her hips.

Mr. Kings pulled away from the kiss, breathing heavily, and stared at her. Her eyes were closed.

Her lips were parted and swollen from his kiss. He smirked—he loved that.

Ana opened her eyes, and their gazes met. His eyes were dark with hunger and desire.

“If you tell me one last time to stop, I won’t go on with this, Ana,” Mr. Kings said, his voice low and filled with hunger.

His hand caressed her lower lip.

“I don’t want you to stop, not now, not anytime soon,” she said. “Ruin me—all you want,” she whispered against his ear.

“F+k,” he cursed before lifting her into his arms and walking out of the study toward his room.

✨In the bedroom ✨

Ana giggled softly as he gently but firmly threw her onto the bed, the silk sheets cooling against her heated skin. Her heart pounded in her chest as Mr. Kings loomed over her, his eyes dark and wild with desire.

His hands traced fiery paths down her arms, sending shivers through her body. “You’re mine tonight,” he growled, his voice thick with hunger. Ana’s breath hitched as he leaned down, his lips crashing onto hers with a fierce, consuming kiss that left her dizzy.

Her fingers tangled in his hair as his hands roamed boldly, exploring every curve and inch of her body. The room filled with the sound of their breathless gasps and whispered names, a heated dance of passion neither wanted to end.

“Tell me,” he murmured against her skin, “how badly do you want me?”

Ana’s eyes sparkled with mischief and need. “More than you can imagine.”

Mr. Kings smirked before he kissed her neck, already tugging her dress down. Ana shuddered and whimpered under him as he moved lower, his lips trailing kisses on her breasts, then down to her belly button.

“Umm… oh God… what…” she moaned, almost freezing as he kissed her p*+*y through the lace thong.

What was he doing?

His lips felt so good there.

But this was new to her… right?

“Holy… shit!” she screamed when he licked her p*+*y lips through the fabric.

Mr. Kings groaned low. She was wet—too damn wet.

And he liked it. She smelled like vanilla. It wasn’t his favorite scent, but now? Now it was going to be.

“This is what I want to taste, Baby Doll,” his voice vibrated against her skin, sending waves of intense, sensual pleasure through her.

Her legs curled as he watched her jerk up and down, breaking into orgasmic ecstasy.

“F*+*k, Bella,” he growled, then pulled off her underwear, sniffed it, and tossed it somewhere in the room before unzipping his trousers.

Ana helped him take off the rest of his clothes. Once he was done, he climbed onto the bed, his eyes locked on hers. He opened her thighs wider for him.

“This doesn’t feel like something I can stop any time soon..,” he whispered as he thrust into her.

She whimpered, nails scratching his back as the rain outside made everything feel more intense.

Mr. Kings groaned and threw his head back in pleasure. She was tight. So damn tight.

She felt like heaven,his heaven.

“F*+*k… sh*t…”

***********

He watched her sleep, her soft breaths brushing his skin, lips parted slightly as she snored ever so faintly. She looked beautiful like this—peaceful, untouched by the chaos of the world.

A quiet hum escaped his throat before he sighed and carefully shifted her out of his arms. She stirred, but didn’t wake. He slipped out of bed, completely bare, and reached for the gown draped over the couch. After shrugging it on, he headed to the closet, pulling on a pair of loose pants.

His gaze drifted back to the bed—back to her.

The rain had stopped.

He walked to the open balcony doors, sat down, and looked up at the dark sky, now clearing.

“What are you doing, Charlie?” he muttered to himself.

He ran a hand through his hair and exhaled sharply.

“This is wrong… She’s my assistant. I shouldn’t…”

But it was too late for logic.

He couldn’t stop thinking about her. No matter how hard he tried, Annabella Evans had already carved herself into his mind.

Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her face. Heard her voice. Felt the way she whimpered under just moments ago.

Just one month. That’s what he told himself. One month to get her out of his system.

One month of making love, of giving in to the temptation. Then he’d walk away clean.

But even as he thought it, he knew—it wouldn’t be that easy.

He looked back toward the bed, saw her roll onto her side and mumble in her sleep, the faintest smile on her lips.

“You’re perfect,” he whispered.

Then he turned and walked out of the room toward his study.

*The Next Morning*

Ana woke slowly, blinking against the soft light pouring into the room.

She sat up, the blanket falling around her waist. Her cheeks flushed instantly as flashes from the night before flooded her mind.

God… What have you gotten yourself into?

Her feet hit the floor just as she heard the sound of the running shower.

She froze.

Her eyes went to the closed bathroom door.

Her thoughts were all over the place.

“Get a grip,” she whispered to herself. “You’re sleeping with your boss… This isn’t right.”

But her breath hitched when the bathroom door opened.

Mr. King stepped out, steam following behind him.

A towel was wrapped low on his waist, water dripping from his toned chest, his hair wet and messy in the most perfect way.

Ana swallowed hard. Her eyes betrayed her, trailing slowly down his body.

God, he looks sinful in the morning.

“You can take a picture,” Mr. King said with a smirk, “it’ll last longer.”

She blinked, caught, her cheeks burning.

He chuckled, grabbing another towel and rubbing it through his hair like he hadn’t just turned her entire body into jelly.

*********

✨ *Breakfast Time* ✨

Ana sat quietly at the long kitchen island, the aroma of fresh coffee and toasted bread swirling in the air. She watched him ,Mr. Kings,,move around with effortless grace.

The way his muscles flexed beneath the fabric of his fitted shirt as he poured himself a cup of black coffee made her throat dry.

She quickly looked away, scolding herself internally.

‘He’s your boss,’*she reminded herself.

‘The same boss you just slept with,’her mind mocked in return.

Mr. Kings placed a mug in front of her before taking a seat beside her.

His cologne lingered in the air,,warm, rich, intoxicating.

“Ana,” he said, his voice smooth as silk but heavy with unspoken thoughts.

She stiffened slightly. “Sir?” she replied, her tone formal, guarded.

He raised an eyebrow.

“Still calling me that… after everything?”

She hesitated, then gave a small, nervous laugh. “Force of habit.”

A beat of silence passed between them as they both sipped their coffee. The tension wasn’t heavy…

It was charged, crackling under the surface with unspoken emotion and desire.

“You barely touched your food,” he said, nodding to her untouched plate.

“I’m not really that hungry,” she replied, eyes on her fork.

“Liar,” he said softly, amused. “You devoured a whole slice of cake at midnight.”

Ana flushed. “That was different. That was chocolate.”

He leaned closer, his voice low. “You like sweet things, huh?”

She blinked, unsure if he was talking about food anymore.

He smirked, clearly enjoying the way she shifted in her seat. “Relax, Ana. Eat.”

She picked up her fork but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at her lips.

“Can I ask you something?” he asked after a moment of silence.

Ana looked at him, surprised. He was asking for permission to ask her something? That was definitely not like him.

This man…her boss—was known for doing things his way, without asking anyone. So why was he suddenly being so careful?

“Yes,” she replied, cautiously.

Mr. Kings leaned closer, his eyes piercing into hers, almost like he was trying to read her soul.

Ana gulped, suddenly feeling warm and nervous.

Why was he looking at her like that?

Intense. Unwavering. Like she was the only thing in the world that mattered.

“You’re very beautiful,” Mr. Kings said, his gaze drifting to her soft, pink lips.

“Umm… Sir…”

“Call me by my name when we’re together. Not at work. Please, Ana.”

Ana’s eyes widened in shock.

Did he just say *please*?

No way… but he did. Her boss actually said *please*.

That was new.

“Why do you always seem to get lost in your thoughts?” he asked, his voice softer now.

So… he had noticed.

“I’m not,” Ana mumbled, her voice quiet.

“You are,” he said, voice firm. “When you’re here with me, I don’t want you thinking about anything or anyone else. Your mind, your thoughts, your soul ,everything belongs to me when you’re here, Annabella Evans. Do we understand each other?”

His tone was filled with authority and unmistakable possessiveness.

She swallowed hard and gave a small nod, though a part of her wanted to argue.

“You’re mine, Ana…”

“Mr. Kings, you….”

“Call me Charlie,” he said firmly, cutting her off. Then he leaned in and kissed her softly,,,,a peck that deepened quickly into a full, breath-stealing kiss.

They were still wrapped in that kiss when the intercom rang.

“F+ck—who is that?” Charlie cursed, pulling back reluctantly.

He looked at Ana and gently brushed his thumb over her lips before standing up.

“I’m coming,” he muttered and kissed her forehead.

Ana sat there, dazed, watching him as he walked out of the dining room.

******

Meanwhile, Mr. Kings walked to the door, his hands tucked in his trouser pockets. He glanced at the *video intercom screen*, which displayed the view outside.

He let out a sharp breath when he saw Samantha.

Of course she showed up unannounced. F*+*k.

“Charlie, open the door. We need to talk,” Sam’s voice came through the intercom.

He cursed under his breath and pressed the button. The door slid open.

Sam walked in, dressed in a sleek black gown paired with red high heels, a Louis Vuitton handbag hanging from her arm, her jewelry perfectly matched—classy and bold.

“Good morning, little brother,” she said, walking deeper into the house.

“What are you doing here?” Mr. Kings asked, his tone cold.

“You didn’t show up at the office,” Sam replied as they moved toward the sitting room. Her eyes shifted toward the dining room, which was just a few feet away.

She frowned. “Who’s that?” she asked, already stepping toward the dining area.

Ana hadn’t noticed her yet—her back was turned.

“Tima,” Sam called sharply.

Ana turned at the sound of the voice. Her eyes widened, and she quickly stood up, heart pounding.

She looked at Sam—whose glare could cut steel—then at Mr. Kings, who walked closer, strangely calm despite his sister’s presence.

“What is *this thing* doing here?” Sam asked, her voice laced with annoyance and disgust.

Her gaze flicked over Ana’s face, then down to the oversized white shirt and boxers—clearly Mr. Kings’s clothes.

“So this is how you do it? Throw yourself at my brother like a slut?” Sam spat.

“That’s enough, Sam! You don’t come into my house and insult her. The f*+*k is wrong with you?” Mr. Kings growled, his voice deep and cold.

He turned to Ana, his expression softening instantly.

“Go wait for me in the room,” he said gently.

Ana nodded, shooting a quick, uneasy glance at Sam before walking away. Sam glared at her until she disappeared down the hallway.

“What is she doing here?” Sam snapped once Ana was gone.

“She’s here for work,” Mr. Kings replied, deadpan.

“Wearing your clothes? Do you think I’m that dumb? She’s wearing your *f*+*king clothes*, Charlie, and—”

“Don’t raise your voice at me, Samantha,” he cut her off coldly.

Sam took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She needed to act fast.

This was her brother—distant as they were, she still knew him. And the way he had looked at Ana?

That wasn’t casual. It wasn’t temporary. It was different.

And she hated it.

He belonged with her friend. Not some assistant. Not Ana.

“Why are you even here?” Mr. Kings asked, his patience thinning.

“You’re going to tell me what’s really going on between you and her, *now*, Charlie,” she demanded.

Mr. Kings stared at her in silence, his expression unreadable.

She let out a sharp breath, her eyes fixed on him.

“Did you forget all the rules you made? All the promises? Did you?” she asked, her voice tight with disbelief.

“I didn’t forget a f*+*king thing. What’s wrong with you? She’s just here for work,” he replied, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Sam narrowed her eyes at him. “I hope you remember that you stood in front of the media and swore never to get involved with any of your employees. Do you even realize the consequences of that?”

Mr. Kings stared at her for a long moment. He had been the one to set that rule. And he could be the one to break it if he damn well wanted to.

“And what about Fatima?” Sam continued. “How can you just forget about her like she means nothing?”

“Come on, Sam. I told you—there’s nothing going on between me and Ms. Evans. Got it? And why are you so concerned? Whoever I f*+*k is none of your damn business.”

His voice cut like a blade.

Sam smiled bitterly and stepped closer to him. “None of my business, huh? Maybe. But I’m not stupid, Charlie. I saw the way you looked at her. Don’t fall too deep—because you’ll lose everything over this stupid lust.”

Lust.

Was that all it was?

“I don’t feel anything for her,” he said, almost too quickly. “I won’t break any rules. Not for her. Not for anyone. Do you understand? They’re my rules…I made them. And I’ll stick to them.”
