DARASIMI
Darasimi-Episode 2

Written by Authoress Efe Bella
Mr David Adeleke is the only son of a wealthy businessman,he schooled at the prestigious Oxford University where he bagged his master’s degree in business administration. He met his wife at a friend’s birthday party where they became friends and later courted her for about one year before they got married.
Adenike was a beauty to behold, with a fair skin colour, slender shape, full lips and a pretty dimple which makes her eyes twinkle anytime she smiles. It wasn’t just her pretty face that made him like her but her carefree attitude, accommodating nature and the manner in which she carries herself with confidence. Her parents were just part of the low class society in the country but she still didn’t allow that to keep her from being free with people from high class.
He lost his father to the cold hands of death after battling with bone cancer and partial paralysis two years after his marriage to Adenike.
And now it’s been five  years since their marriage and no issue, all attempts by close friends and family to make him get a second wife and drive her away failed as he refused to heed to their words saying that God will give him a child when the time is right and now God has finally blessed his wife with the fruit of the womb. The voice of a nurse calling his name  broke him out of his thoughts.
   “Mr David.. Mr David…
Excuse me sir(as she touched his arm). You can see your wife now” she said with a smile on her face.
” Alright thank you” as he ran towards the room pointed out to him by the nurse.
His baby was lying on a cot beside the wife as she smiled at him weakly,he pecked her head and held the baby’s hand. He was all smile as he looked at her and rubbed her cheek softly.
So what are we going to name her?the wife asked.
A beautiful name for a beautiful baby like her should be Darasimi he replied her.
The baby’s eyes lit up with a smile, see she even likes the name she told the husband as the midwife came back in and positioned the baby on Adenike’s arms while propping her back with a pillow so she could breastfeed the child.
*Breastfeeding a baby is really good as it helps the child to fight off early childhood sickness especially the first yellowish milk which nourishes the baby and it also creates an unbreakable bond between mother and child*
Mr David couldn’t contain the joy inside him as he engaged in a dancing mood even though his dancing steps sucked, his wife couldn’t help but to laugh as he started leaping on one leg like a clown.
