Mom pat me gently on the shoulder and said
“Her demise was heartbreaking for us all, especially for you. You refused to eat or speak to anyone for many days. You fell critically ill and we feared that you may not make it too, I prayed with everything in me and come crying by your sister’s grave side not to take you along. You two were my first babies, your father and I feel really blessed having you two and couldn’t manage our sorrow after Salome was gone…”

I was quiet all through as we returned back to the house
My Mom went to her room and brought out a box containing some toys and began to identify my late twin sister’s toys and mine too.
Even the green ball was inside the box.
She said they burnt her things, these were the few things they left behind for memory purpose.
She opened her box of clothes and brought out a little picture album
Pictures of our childhood days.
Salome was indeed a happy child and has a striking resemblance with Marvel.
The pictures were old and almost worn out but you can’t mistake the striking resemblance.
“She’s so much like Marvel…” I couldn’t help but exclaimed as I watched the old pictures
“Offcourse, she is. Don’t you get it son?
“What…” I asked my Mom confused
“She returned back, Salome came back as Marvel, she back to you…”
“You mean like reincarnation…is that real? I replied thinking deeply.
“You’ve confirmed it yourself. Samson my son, Salome your twin sister is back but this time you didn’t welcome or acknowledge her as your bl00d….”
“Mom, I love Marvel regardless of her condition I..”

“Please find her, don’t fail Marvel. It was because of the love your twin sister had for you that led her to her déäth. My Mom heaved sådly
She struggled to control her tears
“…Please find her. Don’t let her go again. She’s probably alive somewhere, I don’t know truly but I feel she’s alive and well. It’s now upto to you to find her. You’ve to do all you can to find Marvel..”
“Yes Mom, I will…I promise..” I finally said.
I stayed a little before stepping out but my Mom’s voice halt me
“Sam, did you know that you and your twin sister, Salome have a matching birth mark around the waist…”
“Really…? I asked surprised.
“Yes, identical birth mark, at the same spot. The baffling thing is that, Marvel also has the same birth mark…”
I quickly flashed back to seeing the birthmark the day I wanted to take Marvel’s bl00d sample for a DNA.
“…none of your other kids has that birthmark except Marvel, that’s enough confirmation that your twin sister returned to you…”
“…find her and plead for her forgiveness, Salome loves you dearly and so is Marvel, Marvel will forgive you every fault no matter how hurting it feels because twins don’t stay angry at each other for long. Marvel is very special…find her and make things right. I silently hope Edna forgives you too. You’ve shattered her, finding our Marvellous baby will bring healing and mend every broken heart. Please go find her. I will be praying for you son…”
I nodded quietly.
Jonah and I waved them goodbye as we entered the car and drove off.
