It took few maddening minutes before El Crow could take in his bearings, do his calculations, and recall everything that just happened.

The grab. The kiss. His hands on her tits. Her moans and her hands on him. Her hands on him.

Her. Hands. On. Him.

He didn’t even notice his palms were already opening till he arrived at her face and sent his palm to her jaw, delivering the slap rawly.

Roselle responded with a gasp which made her palms fall away from her chest. Her tits bounced.

Her mouth bled into her teeth. The slap tore her gum so much she could feel one of her front tooth shaking.

Her blood dropped from her mouth to her chest, trailing down her cleavage as her eyes lifted.

On the tree, Skylar positioned herself very well, using her hand to separate the branches in front of her so she could see them better.

“Seems Bellatrix didn’t ruin all the fun after all,” she thinned her eyes at Roselle’s breasts. “Thought mine was small, this bitch has even smaller tits. How is that appetizing to anybody?”

Another malteser ball went into her mouth

Bellatrix’s guards wanted to move, but a raise of her hand held them back behind her.

Roselle’s eyes were still on El Crow, staring shockingly at him.

He actually slapped her.

Outside the ring.

He slapped her.

And his eyes hadn’t looked this mad before. His eyes hadn’t carried this shade of bloodiness before.

He looked like he was ready to devour her, and not the kiss kind of devour. It was the kind that’d send her to abyss forever.

As she stared at his eyes, her body trembled with new fear, and everything living in her screamed at her to run, never look back.

But if she was the heeding type, she wouldn’t be here today.

So she braced up and shamelessly left her boobs dangling as she stepped closer to him, chin raised.

“Slapping me just shows how low you are, El Crow, cos we did it together! We grabbed each other at the same time and kissed at the same time! You touched me and I touched you! I moaned, and you might not make audible sounds, but I heard the grunts struggling at the back of your throat! I touched your pants, and you were hard as fuck! Don’t pretend it’s the soul bond, I know you still have a crush on me just like you used to!”

Skylar blinked on the tree.

This is new.

El Crow used to have a crush on…

On Roselle???

But her shock became a silent grin when El Crow’s palm belted Roselle’s neck, holding her in a chokehold which made her chest constrict.

Her body went numb as air refused to enter her lungs, and he felt his mysterious strength surging.

His grip on her neck tightened, preparing to burst her windpipe. His strength doubled, again.

Roselle’s eyes turned, blurred.

She didn’t struggle.

She stayed still, smiling.

“Take it if you want it. My life has always been yours anyways..”

And El Crow really wanted to take that life as his eyes got mapped with stretchy red veins which reached his eyelids and brows, driving him mad.

But he couldn’t.

Cos as he choked her, he felt the pain on his neck too. He felt every press and pinch and tightness.

He felt every breathlessness, so he let her go, and they staggered away from each other.

Roselle leaned on a tree, coughing while caressing her red neck.

Seeing El Crow’s red neck, Bellatrix was stunned.

She quickly brought a ointment out of her purse and offered him. “Here, it’ll clear the redness in few minutes.”

El Crow’s eyes rolled to her, and she gave him a reassuring nod.

He took the tube and flung it away. It flew to a tree—Skylar’s tree.

The tube hit Skylar’s forehead before falling on her lap.

“Heck!” She winced, rubbing the forehead gently.

El Crow picked his fallen hunting gun and stomped away.

As he walked, Bellatrix watched his back view. Her eyes lingered on his neck till she noticed something.

His neck redness.

It cleared.

The redness healed like it wasn’t there, and that heightened her interest in him.

She smiled shortly, facing the tree where Roselle was.

Roselle still didn’t bother to cover her breasts. Her blouse had been shredded anyways, and her bra was nowhere to be found.

She’d just wear something else when she gets to her car down the woods.

She walked closer to Bellatrix, and Bellatrix looked down at her, calmly.

“You’re one of the rich bi+ches at Ma’s birthday banquet, I remember your face,” Roselle claimed.

“I have a pretty face. I’m my father’s princess. Of course I leave a lasting impression on girls like you,” Bellatrix said expressionlessly.

Roselle laughed out loudly.

On the tree, Skylar reached for another malteser ball in the nylon, but she met emptiness.

She has finished it.

“Guess I’m going to watch the part two without any refreshments.”

“Girls like me?” Roselle queried when her laughter stopped.

“Girls who aren’t ashamed to show their titties anytime,” Bellatrix glanced at Roselle’s chest. “You and El Crow are from enemy teams. What do you think your mother will say when she learns that you were getting pressed by him in the woods?”

“They’re my titties!” Roselle snarled. “And I unbox them whenever I like!” She looked around at Bellatrix guards. “Your guards? They can only stare and won’t get to suck cos my tits are for one person we both know! And you’re not going to say anything to my mother because if you do—”

“What’s going to happen if I do?” Bellatrix cut in simply.

And Roselle instantly grabbed Bellatrix by the front of her dress, dragging her closer.

“No one’s going to believe you, and despite that fact, I’d still go ahead and send Roy to kill you and your family. Roy would do anything for me including raping your cunt! We once made siblings go intimate, so you should be scared, bitch!”

Hearing that last part, Bellatrix snapped her fingers.

Her guards stepped up.

They took Roselle, but she was able to break free and land smart punches and well-launched roundhouse kicks to some of the guards.

She showcased all of her moves in three minutes, and the trained guards carefully waited till she was done exhausting herself.

She was able to tumble and stab one of them on the stomach with her hairpin, but she instantly received two punches on her breasts.

She went weak.

Weak was even too kind.

She went limp, nearly.

“Strip her,” Bellatrix ordered gently like a noble lady.

Her guards followed the order. No sharp objects, but Roselle’s skirt was elastic material, so it was easy.

Two of them tore it with their hands, and another one tore her panty away.

She was left stark naked, and she quickly went to hide behind a tree, squatting and covering herself with her arms. Her breasts still hurts.

Skylar laughed on the tree, covering her mouth with her palm.

“This is one of the things I planned to do to this bitch very soon, Bellatrix. Why did you have to be faster than me? You succeeded in making me like a girl genuinely for the first time.”

She gave Bellatrix another look, nodding satisfactorily.

Then she carefully jumped down the tree and left the woods.

Bellatrix’s guards escorted her out of the woods too, leaving just Roselle.

Roselle remained behind the tree, naked, shaking with cold, covering herself with her arms and gritting.

“You just wait, bitch. Just you wait for what I can actually do. Wait for what I’m capable of…”

—

Outside the woods, the guards opened the car door for Bellatrix, but she turned around and refused.

“Young Miss, is something wrong?”

“I have a visitor,” Bellatrix sounded.

Skylar appeared, arms folded and steps so intentionally slow.

“I knew you saw me when I was following you.” She scoffed.

“I might not know how to fight, Skylar, but I’m sensitive,” Bellatrix picked her words. “I knew you followed me behind with your bike when I was coming to this woods.”

“Smart much.” Skylar sighed, finally getting to her.

“Do you normally walk like this?” Bellatrix chuckled.

“Like?” Skylar frowned.

“Like a boy!” Bellatrix laughed. “Even when you wore that sexy silver chains dress at the banquet, you still walked too sharp and fast like a boy.”

“Can’t help it,” Skylar shrugged.

“But God, you’re pretty,” Bellatrix complimented genuinely.

“Whatever,” Skylar faced ahead. “And congratulations on teaching a bitch some lesson.”

“The moment she mentioned that she made siblings go intimate, I couldn’t control my rage,” Bellatrix said.

“The siblings she talked about are…my…” Skylar paused, not wanting to say friends.

They weren’t friends.

“We do talk, and I know them well. She did that to them cos of me,” She said, truthful to a fault.

“Now I want to do badder things to that girl,” Bellatrix said. “Are the siblings fine though?”

“They’re good.” Skylar shrugged. “So how do you know about the Null and Apex crap story?” She faced her.

Bellatrix went still.

She hadn’t prepared for this part. What lie should she tell?

“Were you saying the truth?” Skylar asked again. “The only thing I found about them online is that they went extinct and Apex were rich descendants, that’s all.”

“My father told me the story that Apex were the slaves,” Bellatrix said, deciding to use her father’s name.

“You’re father?” Skylar resounded.

“Jethro Ortega,” Bellatrix answered.

“The self-made billionaire business mogul?” Skylar’s gaze dropped.

“Fortunately.” Bellatrix smiled.

“Lucky you.” Skylar faced the woods, backing the car.

“So…why did you ask about the blood types? Are you part?” Bellatrix asked.

“No,” Skylar flatly said. “I was just curious, that’s all.”

Bellatrix checked her time. “I should leave. I have a magazine shoot.”

“Have a magazine shoot, and you came here to spy on the stitchmouth?” Skylar scoffed.

“C’mon!” Bellatrix smiled. “He’s so fine, and you know it, even with his mouth stitch that I’m sure his mother gave to him.”

“His mother gave him no mouth stitch. He’s just a self-harming psycho.” Skylar smirked.

“You like Ma. Of course you’ll defend her.” Bellatrix frowned.

“Exactly.” Skylar raised her shoulders. “Of all men in New Orleans, you fell for him?”

“Geez! Skylar!” Bellatrix cautioned. “Keep it low, and how did you know?”

“It’s obvious in your eyes, I’m not blind,” Skylar rolled eyes. “And you even gave him a ointment tube which he threw away by the way.”

She brought out the tube, handing it to Bellatrix.

“It met you on the tree?” Bellatrix blinked with a smile.

“Unfortunately,” Skylar said.

Bellatrix was still smiling as she got in her car, and the guard shut the door. The car roared to life.

“I’ll see you around,” she raised a brow at Skylar through the open window before the car drove off.

Her guards occupied two other cars which drove after her car.

Skylar walked to her bike, leaning on it while thinking about is Bellatrix was trustable or not.

Yes, Jethro Ortega is a wealthy mogul, but people called him shady and dangerous, so trusting his daughter’s words would be risky.

She’d make more findings on her own, preferably.

Her mind went to what she saw earlier in the woods.

El Crow and Roselle are definitely soul bonded. That’s why they kissed that way. That’s why he was choking Roselle and feeling it too.

El Crow healed because he had healing ability, but Roselle didn’t.

If anyone wants to kill Roselle, they only have to stab El Crow in the chest. Roselle will be the one to die.

She climbed her bike, the thought making her giddy, but she could still taste her maltesers in her mouth.

Her mind went to the little kid.

“That brat,” she whispered, worrying even when she didn’t want to.

—

[Enigma House – El Crow’s Suite]

The room was dark.

Lights were all off, but on a part of the wall where the significant framed picture hung, a small line of Christmas lights strung on.

They rotated, taking turns to come on and go off, showering the black and white picture with colours.

El Crow stood in front of it, staring, looking guilty. Heavily so.

He brought his scissors to his lips—the top and bottom one.

At once, he cut both off, and blood poured immediately, but it didn’t last a second before the lips grew back.

Like he didn’t cut it.

He dropped the scissors on the floor, frustrated.

He knew this would happen.

He reached for the wall picture and touched with his fingertips. “She thinks my crush back then was for her, and it’s taking everything I have to not kill her and hide her body in a freezer till it decomposes.”

The door barged open, and the lights came on as Arturo came in.

“I’m sorry, son. I shouldn’t have told you to ignore the little girl.” He nodded. “I’m a jerk for saying that.”

“It’s refreshing to hear your admittance.” El Crow nodded back.

Arturo smiled, walking to him. “I trust Blade to crush Rosita. We don’t need the streets, we’ll make them need us instead, very soon.”

“Whatever.” El Crow faced the picture on the wall again.

Arturo looked at the picture too, sighing out as memories flooded.

“You miss him?” He asked.

“You have no idea,” El Crow mumbled tightly.

Arturo placed a hand on his shoulder, soothingly.

—

[Enigma Training Lab]

The lab was fuller than usual tonight, obviously because the next match would be one of the toughest this year, so everyone came to watch Blade practicing alone.

Blade was on the duel, then the combat, then self-challenge, and now he’s on the punching bag.

He hadn’t rested.

“Can someone tell him to rest? Too much practice is detrimental sometimes,” an Enigma said.

“The last thing he needs right now is rest,” Castle replied sternly.

“You’re always too stern. It’s safe to say you’re the Underboss of this team,” Kent mentioned.

“I’m not Underboss, Kent. How many times will I say that?” Castle made faces, wanting to a bite from his sausage, but an unplanned cough escaped his throat to the sausage.

He gave up and lowered the sausage to calm down.

Lovato took the sausage immediately, eating it dedicatedly.

“You could have asked for another one, Vato,” Castle said.

“Yours is special to me, Senior.” she winked with a chuckle.

Across them, Bishop was glaring without even realizing.

He turned away, going towards the vending machine, and Lovato sighted him, following immediately.

“Bish! Get me cola, ok?”

He didn’t reply.

He got to the vending machine and got cola for himself, but Lovato arrived and snatched it.

He snatched it back with a glare. “Have some self-respect!”

“What?!” Lovato gasped.

“Senior Castle coughed on the sausage, but you still ate all of it like a shameless gi—”

“Bishop!” She snapped.

“What?” He glared again. “You broke the hairpin I gifted you cos you were hugging Senior Castle, and you lied to me that it was in your room!”

“I didn’t intentionally break it!” She snapped. “Stop shouting at me like that. I’m not a kid…”

“Then act like an actual brainy adult! You’re 21, fuck!” He snapped back.

“What the hell is going on here?” Kent joined them.

Bishop left angrily.

“Bestie?” Kent faced Lovato.

“I have no idea why he’s mad at me like this, I swear.” She shook her head innocently, sniffling. “Is it a sin to admire Senior Castle?”

“Come here,” Kent pulled her into a comforting hug.

—

By the punching bag, Blade decided to finally have a rest for himself.

He lowered his arms.

Sweat was flushing down his skin as he retrieved his phone with shaky, weary, spent breaths.

Before he could start scrolling, the phone was snatched from him.

He looked up to see El Crow, glaring like a pissed monarch.

“Get back to trainings, now,” El Crow ordered blankly.

“Yes, Boss.” Blade smiled, getting back to the training dummie.

Castle came to stand beside El Crow, and they both watched Blade’s continuous trainings together.

“You have no idea how much I like your boss mode.” Castle said.

“I believe you.” El Crow smirked.

Castle chuckled.

El Crow gave him Blade’s phone, then he went to join Blade.

“Use me to practice. Try to get to me.” He ordered again.

“I can never get to you in a million years, El,” Blade said.

“Did I stutter?” El Crow lifted a brow.

“Fine,” Blade inhaled.

And the new practice began.

—

[Dread House – M Sector]

Dreads were about to start eating dinner, but the gists flying about blocked their senses of time that they left the meals to get cold on the table.

“Heard Rosita is a tigress in the training lab right now.”

“I swear I can already picture her beating Blade.

“Did you forget how Blade tore up one of our Middle Tiers last year? Isn’t that why they call him Blade?”

“And Rosita once beat Lovato of Enigma House so much she couldn’t stand for two weeks!”

“I trust Rosita.”

“In Rosita we trust!” Renee supported the gists on her table. “She might be a bitch, but she’s good.”

“I know, right?” One of her fellow Middle Tiers nudged her.

She smiled radiantly.

Now that Roy isn’t around, her tier mates talk to her. This proves they only avoid her for the fear of Roy.

“Where’s your brother?” One of them asked her suddenly.

“He’ll be here soon.” she shrugged.

“But you’re clean, Renee. I love your skin.” Another one said.

Renee smiled slightly, eating her meal with great appetite.

By the door of the Sector, Quincy stood, his eyes glued to that table.

Why was his sister laughing with the other Middle Tier guys?

Why was she eating with them?

Why was she happy when he’s not there with her?

His fists rounded.

—

[Roy’s Suite]

Roy had entered his bedroom for a evening sleep since he wasn’t planning to go for dinner.

He planned to take his time before he’d show his face outside again since the memories of his barking would definitely still be fresh in the heads of his team members.

He woke at nightfall and came out of his bedroom, stepping the living room with a tired yawn only to see Roselle seated, crying.

His eyes stretched.

“Roselle?” He rushed to sit in front of her when he saw how badly she was crying, and how deeply red her neck was with obvious fingerprints.

“Who did this?”

“I was humiliated, Roy…” She sniffled. “I was….ridiculed….”

“The hell??” His eyes refused to blink. “Get up, we should go report to Boss Satan or Midnight!”

“I don’t want them involved in this!” Roselle quickly pulled him back.

“Roselleeee…” He drawled.

“I want you to fight for me,” she hiccuped. “I made a background check on the bitch. She’s Bellatrix Ortega, daughter of—”

“Daughter of Jethro Ortega?” Roy spranged up, shocked.

Roselle stood too.

“No…no that’s not somewhere we should tamper with. Jethro is a beast billionaire!”

“But you have your ways!” Roselle snapped at him. “Look at my face! I’ve been crying like crazy!”

Roy sighed, unsure.

“Roselle…”

“Fine, don’t do it!” Roselle snapped, rushing out of the room.

Immediately she got far enough, she wiped her tears and raised her chin.

Roy would definitely do it. It might just take some time.

He’d do anything for her.

She smiled wide, but the smile faded when she remembered what happened in the woods.

She saw how El Crow’s neck healed too. She saw how the redness cleared.

He had healing ability just like Skylar? Why?

Three of them went to Aftermoor, so why were they the only ones with healing ability?

Does that mean Skylar has something in common with El Crow?

That’s unacceptable.

—

[Dreads Training Lab]

Rosita was alone inside.

She didn’t want anyone mopping and glancing around, so she had sent everyone out before starting her sessions, and now she was just finishing the third session.

She took a towel to wipe her face, breathing heavily.

On the lab balcony, Satan and Midnight stood discreetly.

“You have so much faith in Rosita it’s baffling.” Midnight sighed.

“Cos she’s the strong twin, and you know it.” Satan faced him. “Rosita started walking first, started talking first, and she was the first to give me a bite on my nipple during breastfeeding.”

“That’s fair,” Midnight said.

“She’ll crush Blade in three days.” Satan turned around.

“And Skylar?” Midnight asked.

“Keep keeping eyes on her. She’ll meet Marisa soon.” Satan answered, and they both left the balcony.

Rosita dropped the face towel and was about to get back to practice when her phone buzzed.

She took it and read the new text with bright eyes.

—

[Next Day – Marisa’s Manor]

At arrival, it was the female steward who came to get Skylar by the manor main door.

As Skylar entered the house, she felt the gnawing weirdness again.

Marisa sure knows how to creep people out. She’s never gonna get used to this house.

She was taken deep into the house. A series of doors led to a series of stairs which led down to a cellar-like room.

She descended the last staircase to that place, and she was surprised to meet a private boxing ring with Marisa waiting in the middle of it.

Marisa didn’t wear one of her plain black or white gowns. She wore tights and just a bra tube, and sneakers.

Skylar stopped dead for a minute.

No wonder.

No wonder men were and are willing to die for Marisa.

She wasn’t only beautiful, but the curves proportion was insane.

She was ethereal.

She couldn’t be real.

“Get in the ring when you’re done staring, Skylar,” she said, breaking Skylar out of her stare.

Skylar quickly stripped away her jean and singlet, leaving her in her bra tube top, and a leggings.

She jumped up and climbed the ring, standing in front of Marisa.

Marisa was a tall woman too. They were exactly the same height.

“I won’t chat with you today, Skylar. I’ll only teach you,” She said.

The lights went off, leaving only a spotlight in the middle of the ring.

“You know why El Crow is unbeatable right now? It’s cos when he started training, Arturo taught him how to fight like a beggar. He always made sure he had a clothe tied over his eyes before training, and that’s why even now, El Crow would fight anybody with his eyes closed and still win. He doesn’t target weak points…

“He targets places you won’t even know exists in your body. He fights like a blind man. He doesn’t fight to win, he fights to ruin you.”

Skylar gulped.

The one spotlight in the middle went off too, plunging the ring into total, blinding darkness.

“Yeah, he fights like a blind person who has nothing to lose, and you? You’ll fight like it’s your last. Come at me, Tall Doll. My breaths, my legs movements, my body heat, and my heartbeats are important. Use your ears, and get me.” Marisa instructed.

Skylar moved.

In the dark, she moved, brilliantly, accordingly. She learned.

—

[Jethro Ortega’s House]

Bellatrix looked breathless as she came out of the kitchen, throwing her glance around like a thief.

She held a large bowl of cake that had been cut into sizes.

Her dad was currently in his study with a business associate, and the secret door was unguarded now.

She grabbed the opportunity and pushed the door open. The hydraulics moved apart, making a little rolling noise. She froze, but just for a while.

She moved forward in the crippling dark, pressing a wall button with wildly beating heart. A keyboard slid open, requiring password.

She pressed the three core letters of her name…

BellAtriX.

BAX

The door opened, and she stepped into the area where the children cell was. It smelled like rot and filth as the children weren’t allowed to bath or brush daily. She plugged her nose with her fingers, moving.

The kids sat helplessly in their cell with fresh and old wounds on their bodies. But one of them was glued to the wall with glue, barely breathing.

Her head was low.

Bellatrix gulped, moving again.

She poured the cake pieces into the cell, and the kids scrambled around to get a piece for themselves.

Bellatrix rushed out of the area, and till she came out of the main door, she couldn’t breath well.

She went back to the kitchen and quickly washed the plate, shakily.

“Why are you washing a plate, Bella?” Jethro’s voice sounded behind.

Bellatrix froze again. She gathered her guts before turning.

“Dad? I just wanted to…”

“Guards!” Jethro yelled, and lots of them rushed into the kitchen.

“Get all the three maids and make them sit on burning gas cookers till they die off!” He ordered.

“No no no!” Bellatrix rushed to her father, holding his arms. “They didn’t even know I was in here washing! I was bored, so I baked a cake, but I mistakenly burned it, so I decided to wash the bowl to cure my boredom!”

Jethro sighed, holding her face fondly. “Why not kill a guard if you’re bored? Why wash a dish, Bella?”

“Dad, please…yeah?” She begged.

“You know I hate seeing you working. I’ve done all the struggle, endured the pains. All I want you to do is enjoy it.”

She nodded.

“It won’t happen again.”

Jethro dismissed the guards, and Bellatrix hugged her father.

“How was the meet with your new crush?” He asked.

“He was rude, but you know I like rude, so I can tame him,” She said.

Jethro grinned, nodding.

“You’re really my daughter.”

“Dad, can I follow you to watch the next underground match?”

He blinked.

“You wanna follow?”

Bellatrix nodded.

— — —

[Three Days Later – Underground]

Initially, people would surround the ring to watch the match, and VIP guests would sit behind curtains.

But it was different tonight.

The settings changed.

Now, there were seats for Team Enigma supporters, and there were seats for Team Dread supporters.

The VVIP seat had been raised with bars, so floated over everyone else in the underground. It’s still covered with a muslin curtain though, and noticeably, there were two seats inside the curtain this night.

At the Team Enigma supporters seats, only Enigma fighters occupied there. No single civilian or rogue.

But Team Dread supporters seats was filled to the brim.

The whole 500+ seats.

Filled with civilians and street rogues who came to support, then the Dread team members themselves.

Everything was obviously in favor of Team Dread.

Even the blind would see.

In thirty minutes, the match would start, so the ring was still empty.

But in the preparatory rooms, there’s anxiety and anxiousness.

Blade couldn’t sit still. Suckers sucked his co+k like crazy to calm him, and massagers did massaging, but none worked on him tonight.

He kept pacing.

“If you disappoint me, I swear I’ll ground you, Blade,” Arturo said.

“He wouldn’t dare,” El Crow hissed.

“Yeah, he wouldn’t…” Castle said.

“I’m counting on you, Blade.” Kent gave him a pat.

“Please, don’t f+k up.” Bishop said.

Lovato gave Blade a glucose can.

“It’s my luck glucose. Take a lick.” She said seriously.

Blade smiled nervously.

“I don’t need it, Vato.” He faced them and the rest of the team members surrounding the preparatory. “I won’t disappoint, I promise.”

Arturo smiled, and El Crow took a bottled water, drinking from it.

He capped it back and left the room.

He stood by the door, dropped the bottle on a chair and pulled out his phone to check bettors list.

Not even one person bet on Team Enigma. Not one.

He was still scrolling his screen when Skylar came out of the next preparatory room, chewing gum.

Suddenly, someone pushed her from behind, causing her legs to shift.

She staggered forward, and her bubble gum ran to her throat, choking her brutally.

She began coughing so hard her breaths seized, and the gun blocked her throat, restricting air.

The moment she sighted water by the next door chair, she didn’t wait.

She rushed over and took it, uncapped it and drank directly.

El Crow turned around, slowly, eyes catching her behind him.

It was his water. The one he had also drank directly from.
